Brody Morgan is struggling to get clean and his recovery isn't helped when he learns dealer Zannis has been released on bail in Home and Away.

Although Kat assures him there are measures in place to keep Brody and his family safe, the strung-out chef isn't convinced that Zannis will leave him alone and is worried he knows Brody landed him in jail.

As Mason realises his brother is about to relapse into taking drugs, he convinces him to attend an NA meeting. But on their way there, Brody loses it, thinking Zannis is following them, and causes the car to crash. Brody's injuries end up being superficial, but Mason's are serious. Brody feels terrible as his youngest brother is put into an induced coma…

Justin fears that Brody’s drug addiction is tearing the Morgan family apart, Home and Away star James Stewart reveals…

Justin Morgan is head of a family that’s on the verge of imploding because of younger brother Brody’s growing drugs problem in Home and Away.

“Adopting a tough love policy and having zero tolerance towards drugs, Justin kicked Brody out of the family home,” James Stewart told Soaplife. “But this goes against the promise he made to his dying parents that he’d keep the family together at all costs.”

Then Brody goes AWOL…

Is Justin at the end of his tether? “He’s in total despair. He wants Lena Ascot punished for getting Brody [Jackson Heywood] on to drugs in the first place and he wants the dealers arrested. Justin’s really frustrated with what the police can and can’t do. He’s out of his depth, but he has no choice but to do what he can to try to save the family. The fact that Phoebe’s left Summer Bay also means Justin’s very lonely.”

Is he tired of being head of the family? “Definitely not! It’s his lot in life and a great deal of pride comes from it. Brody’s issues are causing problems with Justin and the other siblings, but they all love Brody and they’re worried about him.”

Does Justin blame himself when Brody goes missing? “It does make Justin ask himself if he’s dealing with this problem effectively. He blames himself for sure, but getting something wrong doesn’t mean he’s going to quit.”

Brody does eventually turn up… What’s Justin’s reaction? “He’s obviously relieved, but it does make him realise that Brody must have been in a bad way to have taken drugs in the first place. There must be a number of factors that have caused this to happen to his beautiful little brother.”

Can the Morgans ever be the way they were before Brody’s drug addiction? “Justin’s ‘always use your heart, not your ego’ approach to life means he absolutely believes that life can go back to the way it was before this terrible chapter.”

After stealing a woman's bag in a bid to find money for drugs, Brody attempts to return it and is attacked by the terrified blonde!

In the grip of an addiction to Ice, Brody has stolen Raffy's necklace and attempts to sell it at a pawn shop. But when the shopkeeper offers him a paltry 10 dollars for the piece, Brody flips and starts smashing up the place!

With the police on their way, Brody makes his escape by flagging down a car. Diving in to the passenger seat he demands the driver, Scarlett, drives! In panic, she offers the druggy chef her handbag and when the car stops, Brody makes a run for it with the bag.

Later, and feeling guilty about his actions, Brody attempts to return the bag after finding  Scarlett's address but the poor woman is terrified when he shows up in her home and, thinking he's about to rob the place, she knocks him out with a vase!

What makes perfectionist chef Brody take drugs? “A respected reviewer is coming to eat at his restaurant, Salt,and he lets waitress Lena talk him into taking cocaine in an attempt to calm his nerves.”

Does it work? “It does the opposite and Brody loses his cool with the reviewer, which ruins everything. He feels terrible and he’s acting so out of character that his brothers, Justin and Mason, are deeply suspicious.”

It’s only a few weeks ago that Brody had a go at Mason for getting friendly with party girl Lena! “I know. He’d never have given Lena the job at Salt in normal circumstances, but he’s desperate because he feels under so much pressure. Brody’s vulnerable because the restaurant – his absolute pride and joy – hasn’t been doing too well. Now it’s being reviewed by this star columnist and he needs to make a good impression with a new menu. You know how ambitious he is.”

But it’s down to drugs that his family imploded… “He tells Lena this, but she’s really persuasive. She says she can help him feel better and he goes for it. But it ends badly for him as a result.”

He blows it in more way than one! “You could say that. The drugs make Brody over-confident and the critic isn’t impressed. When the critic gives his opinion about the food at Salt, Brody can’t handle the criticism, even though it’s constructive.”

Does Justin deliberately go looking for drugs because he suspects Brody’s using? “Yes. Mason mentions Brody’s been acting weird since Lena’s been waitressing at Salt. Justin can’t believe Brody would ever touch drugs, but then he finds proof of it.”

What happens next? “Justin accuses his brother of taking drugs, which Brody angrily denies. He lies and he says the evidence Justin has found has nothing to do with him. Justin makes him promise never to touch anything and he wants him to fire Lena.”

So is that the end of it? “Absolutely not. There’s some major stuff coming up for Brody. We’ll see him getting into quite a bit of trouble…”

Alf orders Roo to close the Bait shop - leaving Justin unemployed again! However, Brody and Phoebe are more concerned about picking the right colour scheme for the restaurant, so Phoebe suggests he asks Ash for work. Meanwhile, Andy meets up with Simmo and agrees to use the garage to service stolen cars – so when Justin arrives at the garage and sees Simmo give Andy a large envelope of cash he realises something isn’t right.

Justin asks Ash for some work, but Ash flat out refuses. Sick of Ash’s attitude, he tells him about Andy’s dodgy dealings. Feeling rattled, Ash confronts Andy who denies everything.

Tori tells Mason about her run-in with Nate, but Mason says he’s over it and Tori should do the same. The next day, Mason impresses Nate with his bedside manner.

However, Mason has bigger problems when Lara turns up. The pair arrange to meet later, but Lara is overcome with jealousy when she sees Mason and Evelyn talking. In a bid to save his relationship, Mason tells Lara his family is in witness protection.
