I’m a Celebrity... South Africa first aired in 2023, but the all-star spin-off has been off screens since, with ITV focusing on the main series in Australia. But it’s finally back – with a lineup of fan favourites, from comedians and models to musicians, actors, and even former football managers, all ready to take on the South African wilderness.

Unlike the main I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, this spin-off is largely pre-recorded, with all episodes filmed in advance. However, the finale will be broadcast live in the UK, giving viewers the chance to vote and crown the winner.

Celebrity Race Across the World is about to return with four new celebrity duos heading on an adventure of a lifetime

The last series was an absolute cracker, and we particularly enjoyed watching Radio DJ Kelly Brook and her ultra-competitive husband Jeremy lovingly bicker throughout the whole journey. She wanted to see the sights, and he wanted to win by going on as many overnight buses as possible. They ended up coming last, so perhaps they should have just spent more time enjoying the fabulous locations!

This time, the celebs are heading to the Caribbean and the Pacific coast of Central America.

Celebrity Race Across the World line-up

The four celebrity duos embarking on the ultimate adventure are: Broadcaster and writer Anita Rani and her dad, Bal; Beyond Paradise actor Dylan Llewellyn and his mum, Jackie; partners, presenter and DJ Tyler West and actor and singer, Molly Rainford; broadcaster Roman Kemp and his sister, singer-songwriter, Harleymoon.

As normal, the celebs will have to survive without their bank cards and smartphones. Instead, they will have to struggle with local transport and limited budgets.

Route

The journey begins on the idyllic and tiny Caribbean island of Isla Mujeres, just off the easternmost point of Mexico. There are stunning beaches and amazing snorkelling opportunities, but the celebs won't have time for that as they're challenged to race 5,900km to reach the finish line in the remote and breathtaking Península de La Guajira in Colombia — the gateway to South America.

The BBC has announced that Sophie Willan will take over from Sara Pascoe as the new host of The Great British Sewing Bee.

Sara has been at the helm for three series, but the BBC has decided to mix things up by having Alma’s Not Normal star Sophie taking over.

Sophie also featured in the first series of Ludwig opposite David Mitchell.

The star will make her debut in the show's upcoming Christmas special before fronting the new series when it arrives on BBC One and iPlayer next year.

Cal Turner, Commissioning Editor, said: "We are delighted to welcome Sophie Willan to The Great British Sewing Bee. With her boundless enthusiasm and energy, Sophie will bring her own unique spark to the sewing room alongside Patrick and Esme. We’d also like to thank Sara Pascoe for three brilliant series — her humour and charm have been a joy for viewers and stitchers alike."

Tom Davies, Executive Producer Love Productions says: "We are so excited to have Sophie join the Sewing Bee team and we cannot wait to see what she brings to the Sewing Room."

The BBC also took the chance to thank Sara for her contribution to the show.

Sophie follows in the footsteps of Sara, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Joe Lycett and Claudia Winkleman. The show has been a huge hit for the BBC, first launching in April 2013.

The final of the current series will air next Tuesday on BBC1 at 9 pm, which will be Sara's last appearance. The finalists tackle three challenges in their bid to be crowned this year's winner. They begin by following the pattern for a deceptively simple bias-cut slip dress, where one mistake in cutting the fabric could cost them the chance to continue.

In the transformation challenge, they make garments using sheer fabric before finally tackling the art of trompe l'oeil, creating illusions with fabric to fit their chosen friend or family member. Three finalists, three challenges — but only one will be crowned as the latest champion.

Strictly Come Dancing 2025 is heading for our screens next week, bringing glitz and glamour back to our Saturday nights once again. But, there is a big change heading for the series as the way we vote has altered.

It was announced by the BBC that phone voting has been dropped from the show, meaning all fans of the series will now need to vote for their favorites online.

The BBC says: "For years, shows like Strictly Come Dancing, BBC Sports Personality of the Year and Eurovision let viewers vote by calling premium-rate numbers. However, this is now an outdated system and also expensive to run.

"Online voting has become the go-to choice for most viewers. In fact, the overwhelming majority of votes for the last Strictly series were cast online."

Online-only voting can be done via your BBC account, which the BBC explains 'offers a more personalised iPlayer experience and weather updates tailored to your location'.

Back for the new series are Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman in their presenting roles, with Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Anton du Beke all returning to the judging panel.

The celebrity lineup includes Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Dani Dyer, Vicky Pattison, Alex Kingston, Balvinder Sopal, Stefan Dennis, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Chris Robshaw, Ellie Goldstein, George Clarke, La Voix, Ross King, Karen Carney, and Lewis Cope.

Actor Kristian Nairn was also announced but had to withdraw for medical reasons, with Lewis Cope replacing him.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to our screens on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

MasterChef has revealed that food critic Grace Dent and chef Anna Haugh will be the new judges for the upcoming 22nd amateur series of the BBC1 cookery show.

There's been plenty of speculation about who would replace axed presenters Gregg Wallace and John Torode.

Both of the new hosts have a history with the show, with Grace being a regular guest critic and appearing as a contestant on MasterChef: Battle of the Critics 2023. She's also a judge in the next series of Celebrity MasterChef. Meanwhile, Anna has been a judge on the Professionals version in 2022 and is also a judge in the final week of this year's controversial series.

Grace Dent says: "I'm over the moon to be coming back to the MasterChef kitchen and unearthing what culinary skills people have been cooking up behind closed doors. It’s a joy to be working with Anna, who brings all her incredible experience to the table. I am in for such a treat with this series, I can’t wait to get started."

Anna Haugh says: "I’m delighted to be back on MasterChef and judging alongside the wonderful Grace Dent, whose writing and wit I've admired for years. MasterChef has long inspired and resonated with cooks in home kitchens and of course in my industry. I can’t wait to get into the studio for what will be a great competition."

While some fans might have feared the series wouldn't come back after all the furore around the current series, the BBC has now confirmed the new presenters, as well as saying it will be 21 parts.

MasterChef Executive Editor, David Ambler, said: “A big welcome to Grace and Anna to the MasterChef judging team. Both are enormously respected in the hospitality industry and we can’t wait for them to uncover some more great cooking talent - from home kitchens across the country.”

Meanwhile, Matt Tebbutt is going to be the new judge on MasterChef: The Professionals.

The current series continues on Wednesday on BBC1 at 8 pm. The 16 heat winners will return for knockout week, competing for the final 10 places. The first group has to create a dish they would be proud to put on the menu of their own restaurant or menu, with only the best going through the next round — their first professional kitchen service. Chef Theo Randall puts them through their paces as they deliver food to customers in the five-star InterContinental Hotel.

It has been announced today (Monday, September 8) that I'm A Celebrity... South Africa has been commissioned for a second action-packed season.

The I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here spin-off show received rave reviews when it aired in 2023, with the all-star version of the iconic series bringing together some of the most memorable campmates from series' gone by.

The first season of I'm A Celebrity... South Africa was such a huge hit that ITV has announced a second series will air in 2026, as more faces from the show's past return to test themselves in brand-new trials and challenges in the South African wilderness.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will once again be hosting the new series, which promises to be bigger and better than ever before. ITV's official announcement said: "Campmates have already proved that they can survive the Australian jungle, but this is I’m A Celebrity… on a whole new level, it’s where legends are made.

"The trials are tougher than ever and with that, so are the stakes. With relentless twists and turns, the campmates will never know what’s coming next. They will be faced with challenges at every turn, quickly learning that with big decisions come even bigger consequences…"

There is also an exciting new twist heading for the next series, which will see the public have the power to decide who is crowned the ultimate legend 2026.

After weeks of shocks, showdowns and survival, viewers will be able to have their say and cast the final vote in a live grand final broadcast direct from London.

Speaking of the new series, Ant said: “The campmates really brought their A-game to the first series so we can’t wait to be back for more trials, challenges and surprises amongst the beautiful South African landscape.”

While Dec added: “Having a live final is an exciting addition to the new series with the viewers choosing their IAC Legend and we’ve heard some of the new trials are truly epic, even by I’m A Celeb… standards!.”

Katie Rawcliffe, Director of Entertainment, Reality & Daytime Commissioning at ITV, says: “We were blown away by the love for the first series of I’m A Celebrity… South Africa. It was a true celebration of the show’s history and viewers loved seeing their favourite campmates return to their screens. We can’t wait to do it all again next year with a whole new cohort, and have the audience crown the winner during a live final for the first time.”

Strictly Come Dancing 2025 is just around the corner and, now that we know which celebrity contestants are taking part, everyone's trying to work out who might be joining the Strictly Come Dancing winners list.

While former Emmerdale favourite Lewis Cope is currently favourite to win at 7/2, Ross King is unfortunately predicted to be the first elimination for the new series at 80/1.

However, in a shock turn of events, Neighbours legend Stefan Dennis has been given virtually no chance of winning after being given whopping odds of 50-1. According to bookmakers Oddschecker, the Neighbours legend could be one of the first to leave the competition, but of course, this is based on nothing but speculation.

One thing Stefan most definitely has on his side is the number of Neighbours fans who will be voting in their droves. If viewers of the Australian soap can get the show renewed after it was axed by Channel 5 back in 2022, then who knows how far Stefan might get in the series.

The new series, which starts later this month, sees Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman back presenting once again, while Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Anton du Beke are all back on the judging panel once again.

Strictly Come Dancing 2024 saw Chris McCausland lift the glitterball trophy with dance partner Dianne Buswell, and this year we will have two new professional dancers joining the show when it returns.

Sadly, we have already had our first celebrity withdraw from the series, with Game of Thrones star Kristian Nairn leaving due to 'unforeseen medical reasons'. Could his replacement, Lewis Cope, be the one to lift the trophy this year?

One of the world's most popular baking shows returns when The Great British Baking Show gets its 2025 season on Tuesday, September 2 (though it's called The Great British Bake Off in the one country that gets it on release day).

This 16th season of the hit baking show is set to bring another 12 contestants into the tent including hairdressers, bridal designers and students. Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith return as do hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding.

Starting with Cake Week, the bakers will go through different tests each episode to see how they measure up. Two new themed weeks have been confirmed in Back to School Week and Meringue Week, the latter of which in particular will be sure to test whichever contestants are still in the running.

How to watch The Great British Bake Off 2025 in the UK

Don't worry, I'll call it The Great British Bake Off here! As with past seasons, GBBO '25 will air on Channel 4.

Episodes will air at 8pm every Tuesday from Tuesday, September 2 until Tuesday, November 4, with ten installments expected like past seasons.

You can watch The Great British Bake Off using the Channel 4 app. It allows for live streaming from C4's channels, which requires a license fee, or via video-on-demand which doesn't.

Episodes are expected to hit the Channel 4 app's library once they've finished airing on the TV channel.

Being stranded on a remote island with a love match you’ve only just met would be any singleton’s worst nightmare - but it’s the premise of Stranded on Honeymoon Island, BBC One’s new dating show that hopes to discover whether true love can thrive in isolation.

The 12-part series follows 12 singles looking for love as they get hitched and embark on honeymoons like no other with someone they met for just five minutes at a speed dating event!

For three weeks, our six newlywed couples will each be stranded on a remote, tropical beach in The Philippines, with no home comforts and only the clothes on their backs. Will their new love be all they need?

In an exclusive for What to Watch, host Davina McCall guides us through what people can expect...

Hi Davina, how does it feel to be playing cupid?

"Everyone knows I love reality TV and I just loved this concept; these daters are a bit older to those on other dating shows, they’re all frustrated with modern dating and this is a way of getting to know someone very well, very quickly," says the My Mum, Your Dad host. "At the speed dating event, they’d ask really deep questions, from ‘Do you want kids?’ to ‘What part of the burger would you be?’"

Do the daters really only have five minutes to get to know each other?

"Yes! Being stranded somewhere is like the greatest test of any relationship ever," says Davina. "This is a social experiment that follows people meeting in the toughest of conditions and seeing if love can flourish. It’s going to push these relationships to the very edge!

After saying 'I do', the honeymooning couples jump off a boat into the ocean to symbolise taking a ‘leap of faith’...

"Yeah, it's quite high… and quite mad," confirms Davina. "Bride Hannah was wearing a fishtail dress and I was worried about her drowning, wondering: ‘How will she kick her legs to swim? All of the honeymooners look lovely in their wedding clothes… then they arrive on this beautiful island, completely bedraggled, knowing they're going to have to wear these same clothes for three weeks!"

So it’s a survival show in more ways than one?

"Absolutely! The honeymooners’ beach homes might look lovely and exotic but they had a tough time, particularly with bugs and the weather - the sunsets in the Philippines were extraordinary but when it rained, it was biblical," says Davina. "There’s no mirrors or make-up, so the women, in particular, are stripped of everything that makes you feel comfortable, safe and attractive. Bride Mae felt she was losing something of herself; we get to see how that manifests and how her partner reacts to that."

Tell us about some of the honeymooners…

"We really get to know the couples before seeing them getting married," reveals Davina. "Like bride Helen. She’s struggling with the fact her mum has cancer and her brother has a terminal brain tumor, but she wants to find love. We see how much it means to her and we're already invested."

And where do you fit into proceedings?

"These couples are genuinely stranded. I asked the producers: ‘Can I go out to the island?’ And they replied: ‘No, that's the point of the show, they’re stranded, no one else is there!’ So, instead, I pop up intermittently via an iPad delivered in crates that wash up onto the shore, usually bringing them some sort of news, sometimes good… sometimes not so good."

And what is Couples Cove?

"Couples Cove is where each couple eventually gets to meet the other stranded honeymooners, which means reuniting with people they met speed dating that they may also have connected with," explains Davina. "Maybe the person they married wasn't their first choice - and their first choice is now at Couples Cove! This show has every twist and turn you could dream of."

Sounds like this could cause ructions...

"Our stranded honeymooners can quit the process whenever they want," says Davina, "but they have to do it in a dramatic ‘I’m done’ kind of way by releasing an emergency flare, making their departure very final. And we get a ‘flare out’ VERY early on."

How do you think you'd cope with being Stranded on Honeymoon Island?

"I'm quite low maintenance in terms of makeup but nice clothes make me feel ‘me’, so I’d want at least one other dress with me, so I can feel pretty, and I’d love a warm bath," says Davina. "I’d want some protection from the insects because I’d have a bit of a problem with them… but I’d have a whopper of a problem with the ‘open’ loo situation. No one wants to have the ‘poo chat’ that early into a relationship!"

That said, Davina admits she'd quite enjoy being stranded on a remote island with her partner, TV hair stylist Michael Douglas...

"We really get on and are both immensely practical people," she says. "He’s brilliant at DIY, building things and making things out of nothing, and I’d like to think I’d just get stuck in, too. So Michael would be the one wearing the trousers, but I would be a great ‘sous chef’; helpful, efficient, enthusiastic and happy. I'd bring the joy!"

The Inheritance release date

The Inheritance starts on Sunday, August 31 at 9 pm on Channel 4, continuing on Monday, September 1 at 9 pm and Tuesday, September 2 at 9.30 pm. That's three episodes a week to make sure you don't miss any drama!

What's the aim of the game?

A game of wit, wisdom and sheer hard graft, The Inheritance is best described as the lovechild of The Traitors and The Apprentice.

As the series begins, 13 strangers are summoned to a grand stately home in Dorset, where they’ll compete for share of the fortune left in The Deceased’s will - and she’s designed a deviously difficult game to ensure that only the most cunning can get their hands on it.

Who's playing The Deceased?

The glamourous benefactor at the heart of the show, known as The Deceased is portrayed by actor, model and national treasure Elizabeth Hurley.

She's very much alive and well and ready to put these wannabe beneficiaries through their paces.

"At first, my character wasn't glamorous… she was very old - but they changed that, then added Robert and this stately home into the mix and I thought it was fabulous," teases Elizabeth, 60, at the official launch of the show at The Ned hotel in London. "I watched an episode of The Traitors and loved it, so I'm grateful to have been asked. Because my parts are pre-recorded [The Deceased sets out the rules of her requests from beyond the grave] it’ll be exciting for me to watch it play out."

Who is The Executor of The Inheritance?

Acting as The Executor is everyone’s favourite TV barrister Robert Rinder, who’ll oversee proceedings as the 13 players work as a team to complete The Deceased’s final requests, a series of challenges designed for players to win a share of her considerable fortune.

"I’ve experienced the full buffet of cases in my legal life, and barristers need to have an intuitive sense of how all kinds of people are going to behave," says Robert, 47. "This show explores how people might react when you put a fortune in front of them; how they might approach issues of fairness, how they might mislead people and what they might do when people aren’t looking."

Tell us more about these 'final requests'...

As they say, there's no such thing as a free lunch and the players will be put to the ultimate test emotionally, physically and mentally to win a share of The Deceased's fortune. So what sorts of challenges can viewers expect for these 'final requests'?

"The requests are very fitting for this lady and her estate,' says Elizabeth. "For example, the first one relates to sourcing and bottling wine; everyone has to put on diving suits and plunge into this hideous lake. The Deceased comes up with a whole host of interesting things for these poor people to do - all of which she would’ve done herself. Obviously."

How lovely that the team has to work together to literally share the wealth...

Hmm... Not quite. You see, there's a catch: Only one player can be named Prime Beneficiary from each request and they must convince the others that they alone should take all the money they earned as a group. The Inheritance is not about who deserves the cash - but who can outsmart the rest to claim it!

So how exactly is the Prime Beneficiary chosen?

Once each of The Deceased's requests is complete, players gather for the Division Ceremony, with a brave few stepping forward to make the claim to be Prime Beneficiary and take all the money they earned as a team.

"At first, I was very much playing a part of The Executor but then it started to really matter to me that any encounters I had with these participants were real, just as it would be putting someone on the spot in the witness box," says Robert. "It’s not just about winning the money; there are a number of emotional, psychological and sociological elements, too. I’m rarely surprised by anything but what transpires really did alter my perception of how I believed people behaved."

Where is The Inheritance filmed?

The Inheritance is filmed at a grand country estate in Devon, which enabled Elizabeth to fully immerse herself into the character of The Deceased.

"The fact we were getting dressed and made up in that big house made a real difference," she says. "It is exquisite and a real treat to be there. And we had an amazing costumier, Miranda Almond, who found the most fabulous couture. I knew I wouldn’t need to see any photos or do any fittings beforehand - I trusted she was going to bring me great dresses and she did!"

It has been announced today, Thursday, August 21, that Game of Thrones star, Kristian Nairn, has had to pull out of Strictly Come Dancing 2025 due to 'unexpected medical reasons'.

The news comes ahead of the new series, which starts next month, meaning a new celebrity had had to be found to take Kristian's place. The BBC has confirmed that the new celebrity joining the line-up will be revealed on tonight's The One Show on BBC One from 7 pm.

Speaking of having to withdraw from the seires, Kristian Nairn said: “With a heavy heart, I have to step back from this season of Strictly Come Dancing due to unexpected medical reasons. I was truly looking forward to the journey, and I’m deeply sorry to disappoint anyone who was looking forward to seeing me on the dance floor. Thank you all for your support, and I will be back on my feet very soon, in every sense. Love to all, Kristian."

Sarah James, Executive Producer, BBC Studios added: “We’ve absolutely loved getting to know Kristian in this short time, and he has all the makings of a brilliant Strictly Come Dancing contestant. We’re incredibly sorry to lose him from this year’s series and we all wish him a speedy recovery.”

The new famous face will be joining this year's already confirmed line-up, which includes Harry Aikines-Aryeetey from Gladiators, TV personality Dani Dyer, star of stage and screen, Alex Kingston, former professional footballer, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, EastEnders favourite Balvinder Sopal and British YouTuber George Clarke.

Also taking part are performer, presenter and singer La Voix, former rugby player Chris Robshaw, model, actor and influencer, Ellie Goldstein, The Apprentice star Thomas Skinner, Neighbours legend Stefan Dennis, former footballer Karen Carney, TV presenter Vicky Pattison and Good Morning Britain and Lorraine star Ross King.

The BBC has finally confirmed when we can expect to see the first Celebrity Traitors UK on our screens.

The hugely popular entertainment show, which until now has seen members of the public taking part in the series, is hosted by the wonderful Claudia Winkleman as she guides contestants through the ultimate murder-mystery game.

This time around, we will see famous faces heading to the castle in the Scottish Highlands, and until now, we have only been told the series will land on the BBC in the Autumn.

Today, Thursday, August 21, it was announced by the BBC that the series will start in October, meaning there are only a few months to wait.

While we don't have an exact date yet, we do know which celebrities will be taking part. The famous names in the first celebrity spin-off include Stephen Fry, actor Mark Bonnar, comedian Lucy Beaumont, content creator Niko Omilana, comedian Nick Mohammed, EastEnders star Tameka Empson, singer Paloma Faith, Olympian Tom Daley, and actor Ruth Codd.

Also starring are singer Cat Burns, comedian Alan Carr, singer Charlotte Church, actor Celia Imrie, broadcaster Clare Balding, historian David Olusoga, former England rugby player Joe Marler, comedian Joe Wilkinson, broadcaster Kate Garraway, and TV presenter Jonathan Ross.

Claudia will also be back in a new array of tweeds, knitted jumpers and cardigans, but who will remain a Faithful and which underhand celebs will be chosen as Traitors?

Celebrity Traitors will work in the same way as the regular show but with celebrities competing instead. As always, the contestants will arrive at the castle as Faithfuls but Claudia will choose a number of Traitors who must try to remain undetected.

Over the course of the show, the group works together to successfully complete challenges known as ‘missions’ and add cash to the prize money, which can reach £120,000. The group must hold regular banishments, where they vote out the person they think is most likely to be a Traitor, while the Traitors can murder Faithfuls for as long as they remain in the game.

If the Faithfuls successfully banish all the Traitors before the end of the game, they split the prize money between them. But if a Traitor remains at the end, the Traitor wins the lot.

We're used to seeing Faithfuls and Traitors playing to win for themselves or their loved ones, but the celebrities will play the ultimate game of detection, backstabbing and trust, in the hope of winning a cash prize up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.

The BBC has also confirmed that the main Traitors series will return with season 4 in early 2026

Eight new pairs of ordinary people are bracing themselves to be shaken and stirred as they embark on an exciting James Bond-inspired global adventure in season two of Prime Video’s 007: Road to a Million.

007: Road to a Million S2 release date

This hotly anticipated second series of 007: Road to a Million is available on Prime Video, with all eight episodes landing on Friday, August 22.

Who's fronting the series?

Succession star Brian Cox is back in the hot seat as The Controller and this time the stakes are even higher as the duos must now compete directly against each other - rather than individually - in a series of physical, psychological and strategic 007-style missions against the clock, with the poorest performing pair each episode being eliminated.

Talking about what's new for series two, Brian says: "There's more interaction between me and the contestants and the show is infinitely more Bond-related. I now have an assistant in the control room which feels very Bond. She gives me information on the contestants as I watch them on monitors - it’s more dramatic than last time."

What kinds of challenges will the contestants be up against?

From scaling towers in Bangkok to wreck diving with sharks in the Bahamas, each location is straight out of a Bond movie.

In the first episode, contestants bungee-jump off Luzzone Dam in Switzerland, re-enacting actor Pierce Brosnan's iconic leap as Bond off the Verzasca Dam in 1995 film GoldenEye…

"The contestants really get to see and do some extraordinary things - it’s a sheer spectacle, but it also confirms to me why I’m in the control room and not doing the competition!," says Brian. "I’d never bungee jump in a million years - but one person's definition of fun is quite different from another's!"

As well as having to embrace the physical side of the challenges, the change in gameplay means that the couples will now get to play mind games with each other...

"I'd be good at that," says Brian. "That's where I’d excel, because I understand how people tick, and their strengths and weaknesses. It’s quite hard to know who's actually going to win. I'm not very good at predicting that because all sorts of things can happen along the way."

And, as The Controller, Brian's job is to toy with the duos and exploit any weaknesses...

"I suppose that’s part of my character as The Controller; the cat and mouse thing," he says. "There’s a father and son who made a mistake at one point and I felt very empathetic. The Controller is not openly compassionate, but he's not without sensibility and sensitivity to who these contestants are."

Presumably, there are eliminations. How do they work?

The two slowest pairs on each mission must face off against each other in the Killer Question - an immersive, high-tension brain-teaser that will result in one pair being eliminated.

At the end of the series, having defeated all their rivals, the final surviving couple face The Controller in person in London to get their hands on the whopping £1 million prize.

"That puts people into a very pressured situation, that I personally would never want to put myself into," admits Brian. "I'm not very competitive in that way. I see why people want to do these things but I reserve judgement and get on with my job - which is to be controlling!"

007: Road to a Million S2: Is there a trailer?

Fans of one of the best Netflix shows from 2023 who want more are going to have their wishes fulfilled this week, albeit with a slightly different series.

A new series called Final Draft hit Netflix today [Tuesday, August 12], and it's a Japanese competition show. It puts together 25 former athletes whose careers ended for various reasons, and pushes them through a series of trials in hopes of winning ¥30 million (around $200,000).

Sound familiar? That's a very similar premise to Physical: 100, which released in 2023 and saw a second season in 2024. This show was a Korean one which involved 100 contestants, and not just former athletes, but the gist is the same: a series of competitive trials sit between competitors and a sum totally around $200,000).

Physical: 100 was a smash hit, becoming one of the biggest non-English shows for several weeks after its release and garnering respect for challenging stereotypes about race and gender.

A third series of Physical: 100 is on the way which is set to broaden the scope from Korean competitors to entries from across Asia, and is being called Physical - Asia as a result. A US version is in the works too, because this is Netflix and everything big in Korea needs an American version apparently (you can actually apply to it here), as is a European one.

But back to Final Draft; this will probably be a more personal show than Physical: 100 by cutting the competitor list to just a quarter. There's also a redemption element, with the athletes all trying to reclaim their past careers (though sadly not all will succeed).

Promotional images show lots of gym-based challenges but also one which seems to show two people pushing a giant ball, and long hikes in snowy conditions. So don't expect to stay in the Squid Game-looking studio of the picture at the top.

Another important distinction between Final Draft and Physical: 100 is that all episodes of the new series will land at once, not weekly, so you won't need to wait to binge them. You can see them right now!

It was announced today, Monday, August 11, that Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, aka Nitro, will be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing 2025.

Harry is the first celebrity name to be officially announced for the new series, which will arrive on our screens next month.

The BBC revealed the news on this morning's episode of CBBC show Newsround, where Harry, who took part in the Strictly Come Dancing 2024 Christmas Special, said: “After the Christmas Special, it was so nice I just had to do it twice! I’m so excited to be part of the Strictly family this series and I’m ready to give it all I’ve got. I’ll be bringing tons of energy to light up the dance floor. Let’s hope I’m as quick at picking up the routines as I am on the track!"

But, while fans are desperate to know who will be joining Harry on the Strictly dancefloor this year, we have a little wait to find out who will be announced next because it has been confirmed by the BBC that the next three celebrities will be announced on The One Show tonight at 7 pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Harry's name being announced first won't come as much of a surprise to fans after he was strongly rumoured to be taking part in the show following his huge success on the festive special.

The Gladiators star, who is an Olympian and a multi-gold medal-winning Team GB sprinter, became the first athlete to win gold medals at both 100 and 200 metres at the World Youth Championships, and won the 2005 BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award aged 17.

Harry has gone on to win gold in the 4x100m relay at the European Championships and at the Commonwealth Games. He has competed in two Olympic Games and is a three-time European Champion and two-time Commonwealth Champion.

Is Love is Blind UK S2 as good as S1?

Matt certainly thinks so.

"We loved season one so much; you fall in love with these people and invest your time in them," he explains. "So when you're starting over again, you think: 'Are we going to feel the same about this new bunch and is the show gonna hit the same?' But it does. It really delivers."

Love is Blind UK S2: Are the contestants really in it for love? Or fame and fortune?

"Yeah, because it's a legally binding wedding at the end of it," says Emma, who was the host of Big Brother between 2013 and 2018.

"Maybe I've been around reality TV for too long, but I feel like gone are the days where you have major fame from a reality show - like in the early days of Big Brother where Nasty Nick was on the front page of The Sun newspaper for writing a note!

"If you do go on to it because you want a little bit of publicity, you might have your moment, but what's going to overshadow it are the people that are here for the real reasons, like Bobby and Jasmine from season one, who are now having a baby. Like, how amazing is that!?"

Do Emma and Matt give the couples any advice?

"No, we don't get involved," admits Emma. "What we get from hosting this show is a couple of little holidays on our own without the kids. It gives us time together."

"I'd love to say this is hard work," adds Matt, "but it's the best gig in the world. Working with my wife is awesome! Do I think we could've fallen in love through a wall? Yeah, I think so. I've been with her since I was 21. She's my type - I don't have any other type!"

Thankfully, the reality TV powers that be have listened to your wishes because just a few short weeks after the premiere of Big Brother season 27 (which debuted on Thursday, July 10—here's how you can tune in online or on TV from around the world), CBS is premiering the all-new Big Brother: Unlocked behind-the-scenes series tonight at 8pm Eastern Time.

Every other Friday night, you can join hosts and Big Brother alum Taylor Hale (who won season 24 of the long-running reality competition series, making her the first Black woman to win the $750,000 prize and the America's Favorite Houseguest title) and season 16 victor Derrick Levasseur as they guide BB fans through never-before-seen footage from the house, interviews, guest appearances and other behind-the-scenes access.

Along with sharing insight as they analyze gameplay, assess the competition and give their perspective throughout the season, Hale and Levasseur will be joined by mystery celebrity guests and surprise show alumni to break down the drama and deliver their reactions.

Like Big Brother proper, Big Brother: Unlocked will air on CBS, which means if you want to tune into the new behind-the-scenes series live on Friday evenings, you're going to need access to the channel. CBS is included with most cable packages but if you’ve cut the cord, you can also watch CBS shows live via streaming platforms like FuboTV, Hulu with Live TV, YouTube TV and DirecTV Stream.

Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers will be able to live stream the show via the live feed of their local CBS affiliate on the service, as well as on-demand. Paramount+ Essential subscribers will not have the option to stream live but will have access to on-demand the day after the episode airs. Previous seasons of Big Brother are available to stream on Paramount Plus, and Paramount Plus subscribers will also have access to the 24/7 Live Feeds once the season begins.

After the BBC officially confirmed it will be airing the new series of MasterChef, it has now been revealed that the first three episodes will drop on BBC iPlayer on August 6.

The BBC is stripping episodes across the week, with the first episode of the amateur series airing on Wednesday, August 6 at 8 pm, with episode two on Thursday, August 7 at the same time, and then a third on Friday, August 8 at 8.30 pm. It seems likely it will follow the same pattern the following week. All three of those episodes will be made immediately available on iPlayer on August 6.

There had been plenty of speculation that the BBC wouldn't screen MasterChef 2025 at all, with both presenters, Gregg Wallace and John Torode, being sacked.

The BBC is yet to decide whether to broadcast a Christmas special and a celebrity series. Explaining why it had decided to show the new series, the BBC said: "After careful consideration and consultation with the contestants, we have decided to broadcast the amateur series of MasterChef on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 6 August. MasterChef is an amazing competition which is life-changing for the amateur chefs taking part. The focus of it has always been their skill and their journey.

“This has not been an easy decision in the circumstances and we appreciate not everyone will agree with it. In showing the series, which was filmed last year, it in no way diminishes our view of the seriousness of the upheld findings against both presenters. We have been very clear on the standards of behaviour that we expect of those who work at the BBC or on shows made for the BBC.

“However, we believe that broadcasting this series is the right thing to do for these cooks who have given so much to the process. We want them to be properly recognised and give the audience the choice to watch the series.

“At this stage we have not taken a decision on the celebrity series and Christmas special, which was filmed earlier this year, and we will confirm our plans later in the year.

BBC News reported that John Torode was also sacked as MasterChef presenter after an allegation against him using "an extremely offensive racist term" was upheld as part of the same inquiry.

John took to social media to explain that the remarks were allegedly made in 2018 or 2019 and that he had "absolutely no recollection of any of this and I do not believe that it happened".

After it was announced he had been sacked from the series, he added: "I have no recollection of what I am accused of. The inquiry could not even state the date or year when I am meant to have said something wrong. Celebrity MasterChef, which I recently filmed with Grace Dent, along with two fantastic Christmas specials, will be my last. Personally, I have loved every minute of working on MasterChef, but it is time to pass the cutlery on to someone else."

Fill in the blank, ABC’s Match Game is… back. The classic game show that originally dates back to the 1960s is getting another iteration with a brand-new host. But viewers should expect the same basic game that often makes for some hilarious moments.

MasterChef 2025 will officially air in August on the BBC, the broadcaster has confirmed, featuring brand-new challenges and an array of special guests as the show celebrates its 21st year.

MasterChef 2024 aired last spring, bringing us a bumper season celebrating 20 years of the much-loved series. However, there was uncertainty surrounding the new series after both Gregg Wallace and John Torode were sacked from the show following separate allegations. But the BBC has given a full statement (which we have lower down in the article) confirming why they've chosen to air the series.

MasterChef 2025 will begin on BBC One on Wednesday, August 6, at 8 pm. The first three episodes will drop on iPlayer on that date. Episode 2 will air on BBC One on Thursday, August 7, at 8 pm. Episode 3 will air on BBC One on Friday, August 8, at 8.30 pm.

A BBC spokesperson said: "After careful consideration and consultation with the contestants, we have decided to broadcast the amateur series of MasterChef on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from August 6. MasterChef is an amazing competition which is life-changing for the amateur chefs taking part. The focus of it has always been their skill and their journey.

“This has not been an easy decision in the circumstances and we appreciate not everyone will agree with it. In showing the series, which was filmed last year, it in no way diminishes our view of the seriousness of the upheld findings against both presenters. We have been very clear on the standards of behaviour that we expect of those who work at the BBC or on shows made for the BBC.

“However, we believe that broadcasting this series is the right thing to do for these cooks who have given so much to the process. We want them to be properly recognised and give the audience the choice to watch the series.

“At this stage we have not taken a decision on the celebrity series and Christmas special, which was filmed earlier this year, and we will confirm our plans later in the year.

“Most importantly, MasterChef is a brilliant, much-loved programme which is bigger than any one individual. There are many talented, dedicated and hard-working people who make the show what it is. It will continue to flourish on the BBC and we look forward to it returning stronger than ever in the future."

As the series was filmed in early 2024, both John Torode and Gregg Wallace will appear in the new series. However, it is unclear how much of either presenter we will see on screen.

.One name that has been linked to the show is Grace Dent, after she presented Celebrity MasterChef alongside John in 2024 and 2025.

How will MasterChef 2025 work?

Each series, we see more than fifty hopefuls from across the UK joining the programme to show off their culinary skills before being whittled down over the next eight weeks, with the winner crowned in a tense finale.

Last year saw two new challenges added to the knock-out rounds over the course of the initial heats. To 'earn' a MasterChef apron and stay in the competition, the first challenge facing the contestants is called 'Basic To Brilliant'.

John Torode told us, "Basic To Brilliant is all about taking an everyday item such as a potato or an onion and turning it into something truly special. As you’ll see, you can do amazing things with an onion!"

The second new challenge was part of the Invention Test and required the cooks to think on their feet. John said, "The contestants are all given the same basic recipe, for example, it’s gnocchi in episode one, and we see how they each create different dishes from that. I love that round because you really see their personalities start to come out."

Who won MasterChef 2024?

Brin Pirathapan, a veterinary surgeon whose love of cooking is inspired by his Sri Lankan heritage, was crowned the 20th winner of MasterChef.

At the time of winning, he said: "The food I grew up with was never boring. Coming from a Tamil, Sri Lankan background, we had nice food on the table and it's never bland.

"There was just something about this year where I thought if I didn't apply I would probably just sit and watch it and regret that I didn't."

The Great British Sewing Bee 2025 is here and now it has finally been announced who will be taking part in this year's competition.

Once again, a new gang of amateur sewers will compete against one another in a series of tough challenges - all with the aim to impress judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young.

But there is a twist for this year, because comedian Sara Pascoe is back in her presenting role after Kiell Smith-Bynoe, who took part in the celebrity festive edition of the sewing contest in 2021, covered her maternity leave last series.

This year we will see 12 new faces heading for the sewing room, including a bus driver, a lecturer and a magistrate.

Taking part in the 2025 series are Caz, 59, who is retired and from Staffordshire, Kit, 24 a Digital Marketer from Manchester, Gaynor, 72, a Retired Office Manager from Port Talbot, Wales, Jess, 33, who is Head of Communications in London, Órla, 19, a Café Worker/Student from Inverness and Peter, 45, a Senior Pre-Construction Manager from Devon.

Joining them are Glendora, 59, a Bus Driver from Luton, Yasmin, 30, a Research and Development Scientist from Gateshead, Novello, 66, a Family Business Owner and Magistrate from London, Dan, 37, a Performer from Durham, Saffie, 32, a Lecturer in Product & Industrial Design from London and Stuart, 53, a Premises Manager from Herefordshire.

Patrick Grant and Esme Young will be returning to the judging duties on the show once again, keeping a watchful eye over the sewers as they create their masterpieces.

In case you need a reminder of how the Family Feud game works, here’s a breakdown of the gameplay:

• Each game sees two teams of five compete to see who can get the most points based on the popularity of answers to a given question, as responded to by a 100-person survey panel.
• There are three rounds of team-vs-team gameplay. The second round sees points double and the third round sees points triple.
• Each round starts with one family member from each team attempting to buzz in first with their best answer. If the team that buzzes first gives the top answer, they have the option to play the round or pass it to the other team. If the first answer given is not the top answer, the other team has the opportunity to guess the top answer.
• After a team decides to play the round, each subsequent team member makes guesses at the remaining responses. If they give a correct response, the answer is revealed. If they guess incorrectly, they get a strike.
• If a team gets three strikes before naming all responses, the opposing team has the opportunity to steal, needing to only give one correct answer to take the points.
• The team with the highest point total after the three rounds moves onto Fast Money, where two players try to amass 200 points by providing answers to the same five questions (the second player does not know the first player's answers). The first player is given 20 seconds to answer all five questions, with the ability to pass and move on to the next question if they want, which they can come back to if time remains. The second player gets 25 seconds, the extra time in the event they give an answer their teammate already provided.

It's the 50th anniversary of Jaws this summer, so this has meant we're getting a crazy amount of shark shows; the latest, All the Sharks, has just been added to Netflix.

Yep, closely following on from the Netflix documentary Shark Whisperer released earlier this week, All the Sharks has now arrived, seeing four teams of shark experts competing to, erm, photograph the most sharks!

They’re battling it out for a $50,000 prize for their chosen marine charity as they travel from the crystal-clear Caribbean waters to the mysterious depths of the Pacific over six episodes.

The trailer (below) reveals that not all the sharks are worth the same amount of points. If you manage to photograph a rarer shark, you get more points!

We then see one of the teams spot an epaulette shark, which, according to them, looks like a snake and walks! While another team spots a tiger shark. As the host, Tom "The Blowfish" Hird, puts it, "To win this competition, you can't just find some sharks, you have to find all the sharks."

One of the competitors, Brendan Talwar, a marine fisheries ecologist and postdoctoral scholar at UC San Diego's Scripps Institution of Oceanography, spoke to the University of California San Diego about taking part.

Brendan said: "In joining the production, I hoped to be part of a team that reinvents 'shark-TV' by dropping the manufactured drama typical of most sharky programs. All the Sharks makes the case for our oceans being the greatest playgrounds on Earth — places where the most fantastic encounters are just around the corner and where sharks and rays are abundant, valuable parts of healthy and diverse marine ecosystems.

"The most memorable moments of my life have been underwater, shared with friends and students, and All the Sharks will allow us to share some of the most fantastic moments I’ve ever had with viewers across the globe."

We should say it’s not just Netflix making shark shows as Jaws turns 50. We have Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story, a 90-minute documentary that will be shown in the US on National Geographic and Hulu on Thursday, July 10. A day later, it airs in the UK on National Geographic as part of its annual Shark Week and will also be available on Disney Plus.

Get ready for Big Brother season 27 with a tour of the new house below.

Blind Date, the legendary dating show famously presented by Cilla Black, is being revived by Disney Plus.

The classic series was fronted on ITV by Cilla from 1985 to 2003, becoming a ratings smash, with Paul O’Grady presenting the brief reboot between 2017 and 2019.

Now the streaming service has officially confirmed rumors that it's bringing the show back to our screens with some twists, although keeping to the spirit of the original.

Disney Plus announced: "The ultimate dating series Blind Date is back — bigger, better, and bolder than ever. The new series will begin in a secret 'Blind Date' location, where contestants must choose between three potential suitors, hidden from view behind the legendary 'Blind Date' wall, the only thing standing between them and their potential true love just metres away.

"With a host of unique, innovative and head-turning format twists, our daters will see if forever love can truly grow as they spend the summer living together but potential new partners are always lurking behind the wall…”.

Disney Plus hopes that it can capture some of the magic that saw the original series attract 18 million viewers in its heyday.

No host has been announced yet, and it's not clear if there will be someone giving witty little summaries of each potential date like "Our Graham" did in the original.

The new series of Blind Date will consist of 10 parts, with each one 45 minutes long. Production will start later this year. Original presenter Cilla Black died aged 72 in 2015.

Disney Plus also announced two further new series. The Rooneys, an observational doc-series about Coleen and Wayne Rooney as they "step into a new chapter of their lives".

And Jamie and Sophie: Raising Chelsea about Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo, as they "embrace their latest challenge and greatest joy to date… parenthood".

Disney Plus has not revealed yet when the three shows will land.

The Great British Sewing Bee 2025 once again brought us a new gang of amateur sewers who competed against one another to impress judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young.

12 competitor stitchers from across the country took on a series of tough challenges set by the judges each week and on Tuesday, September 16 Caz, from Staffordshire, was crowned the winner of the 11th series.

The Great British Sewing Bee 2025 started on Tuesday, July 15 at 9 pm on BBC One and the final aired on Tuesday, September 16, at 9 pm on BBC One.

Who won The Great British Sewing Bee 2025?

Caz, from Staffordshire, was crowned the winner of the 11th series. Her win came after the 60-year-old won garment of the week three times during the show's design icons week, Korea week and kids week.

"I am totally overwhelmed and I still feel quite emotional about it all, it hasn't quite sunk in," she said.

"Of course my husband and family knew, but I only confided in one friend and one only, so it will be a surprise to a lot of people that know me. Even my parents didn't know."

She said she was "thrilled" to get her daughter Florence on the show as her model, adding that she had the "best day ever".

"That was more important for me than anything else," Caz said. "As a family, we don't generally use the word proud but I think on this occasion we will allow it."

How does the The Great British Sewing Bee 2025 work?

Each week, the contestants must take part in three challenges: a Pattern Challenge to test their basic dressmaking skills, a Transformation Challenge to assess their creativity, plus a Made To Measure Challenge to create a bespoke garment.

One contestant's creation is awarded Garment Of The Week by the judges, and another is sent home from the competition.

The grand final sees the remaining three sewers battle it out to be crowned the winner.

Week 10 - Tuesday, September 16 - FINAL
It's sewing machines at the ready as the finalists tackle three challenges in their bid to be crowned this year's winner. They begin by following the pattern for a deceptively simple bias-cut slip dress, where one mistake in cutting the fabric could cost them the chance to continue. In the transformation challenge, they make garments using sheer fabric, before finally tackling the art of trompe l'oeil, creating illusions with fabric to fit their chosen friend or family member. Three finalists, three challenges - but only one will be crowned as the latest champion.

Week 9 - Tuesday, September 9
The remaining sewers take on three 1920s-inspired challenges in the hope of making it to the final. They begin by recreating the iconic plus fours, a staple of outdoor pursuits from the era, then go on to make modern, block-coloured garments from a selection of polo shirts, invented by tennis player René Lacoste. In the made-to-measure challenge, the semi-finalists embrace the revolutionary fashion of this iconic decade to make an outfit for a 1920s party.

Week 8 - Tuesday, September 2
The sewers tackle three challenges inspired by the silver screen, beginning by following a pattern for a jacket like the one worn by actress Tippi Hedren in Hitchcock classic The Birds. They let their imaginations run wild in the made-to-measure round as they design an outfit for a horror movie character, and the transformation task sees them turning red cinema curtains and tiebacks into a glamorous outfit for a Hollywood party. Gaynor went home this week.

Week 7 - Tuesday, August 26
The sewers tackle three art-inspired challenges, beginning by following a pattern for a baby-doll dress, taking inspiration from award-winning potter Grayson Perry, before turning used painters' overalls into an asymmetric outfit in the Transformation round. For the made-to-measure challenge, the sewers embrace the bold colours and shapes of pop art as they create garments that capture the essence of the post-war movement. Stuart went home this week.

Week 6 - Tuesday, August 19
It's children's week in the sewing room, with the contestants introducing elements of adaptive fashion as they tackle a pattern for a pair of mini dungarees. The made-to-measure task sees them creating outfits inspired by what their young models want to be when they grow up, ranging from polar explorer to beekeeper to politician, and in the transformation challenge, they repurpose maternity wear into toddler outfits. Dan went home this week.

Week 5 - Tuesday, August 12
The sewers tackle the fast fashion industry in Reduce, Reuse and Recycle Week, in which none of the fabric in the haberdashery is new. They begin by creating a zero-waste workwear jacket, then breathe new life into discarded camping gear as they transform tents into complete outfits. In the made-to-measure round, the sewers must raid their wardrobes and those of family and friends to create fresh outfits from garments no longer worn. This week Jess went home.

Week 4 - Tuesday, August 5
Judges Esme Young and Patrick Grant set the contestants three challenges that celebrate the rich fashion and textile traditions of Korea, including following the pattern for the jeogori — a historic Korean jacket now seen in contemporary womenswear and K-Pop. The sewers also design evening wear inspired by a garment once worn by Korean military officials and transform taekwondo outfits and colourful belts into striking new creations. This week Novello was sent home.

Week 3 - Tuesday, July 29
It’s Design Icons Week, so style and glamour is the name of the game for the remaining contestants. Can they successfully stitch together a Diane von Furstenberg-inspired wrap dress, transform home furnishings into Vivienne Westwood-esque punk looks, then navigate the Made to Measure task where they must create a glamorous garment with a nod to Versace? This week, Glendora was sent home.

Week 2 - Tuesday, July 22
Patrick and Esme put the sewers through their paces with three challenges themed around activewear. First, the sewers take on a technical pattern challenge, constructing a seven-panel cap, while, before they give new life to unwanted cycling gear, turning it into stylish new garments. Finally, in the made-to-measure, the sewers must create an athleisure outfit - something practical enough for the gym, but stylish enough for a coffee shop. Despite putting in their best efforts throughout the challenge, it was Saffie and Peter who were sent home.

Week 1 - Tuesday, July 15
Judges Patrick and Esme challenge the sewers to prove their ability to create shape. First up, the Pattern Challenge sees them crafting a tie-front blouse, using gathers to add volume. Next, in the 90-minute Transformation Challenge, circle skirts are reimagined into brand new garments. Finally, the Made-to-Measure challenge tests their skills with pleats as they design a perfectly shaped dress. No one went home this week.

Caz, 59 - retired from Staffordshire - WINNER

Caz grew up in an old railway station with her parents and sister before heading off to study print and print management in Nottingham. She's been married to her husband Darius, for 28 years and they have two children, Florence and Cyrus. Also sharing the family home are their two large cats Oggy and Buzz.

Caz has recently “retired” after running the family printing business for the last 30 years. Caz loved working with the printing presses - often getting covered in as much ink as the items she was printing. She claims she might get another job but is enjoying having more time for sewing!

Kit, 24 - a Digital Marketer from Manchester (Went home in week 9)

Kit grew up in Surrey with their parents, brother and sister. In primary school, their mother started teaching their sister to sew sock puppets, so Kit taught themself out of spite. Kit then tried to sell their creations at school and got in trouble for trying to start a business! They picked up the hobby again at uni and have since been making a garment every week. Kit will often explore a haberdashery and look for the most “awful” fabrics, on a mission to turn them into something beautiful. Kit also enjoys something he call “pointless fashion”, describing this style as “so camp! Wearing something so utterly useless but looking fabulous”. Kit’s “pointless” concepts range from mesh hoodies to a coat held together with chains.

Gaynor, 72 - Retired Office Manager from Port Talbot, Wales (Went home in week 8)

Proudly Welsh, Gaynor has been with her husband for 47 years. Together they have three sons and seven grandchildren (who they love spending time with), aged from 3 to 15, and who call them Nain and Taid. She has made many outfits for the grandchildren’s school plays and fancy-dress costumes for one of her daughters in law. Family is really important to Gaynor, some who live close by in South Wales, and she has spent time tracing her family tree back to the 1600s! And, of course, let’s not forget Willow, the cat; Rowan, the Doberman and Bridie, the Lurcher, Gaynor loves a large dog and enjoys nothing more than stomping up local mountain Drymmau or down the nearby sand dunes with her husband and the dogs.

Jess, 33 - Head of Communications in London (Went home in week 5)

Jess grew up in Berkshire with her parents and sister, surrounded by women who valued making things well and making them last. Sewing is a way to connect with her mother, aunts, and grandmother, who first taught her. A lover of vintage, Jess often wears clothes made by her mum and aunty decades ago, carefully overlocked and looked after to stand the test of time. She now lives in South-East London and is Head of Communications at a news production company, a job she enjoys for its day-to-day variety and problem-solving focus.

Órla, 19 - Café Worker and Student from Inverness - FINALIST

Proud Highlander Órla is a German and Scandinavian student at the University of Edinburgh. An avid fan of languages, she is fluent in Scottish Gaelic and is often inspired by her Gaelic heritage. She is very close with her family, with them performing together as a family folk band, combining traditional Irish, Gaelic and wider Celtic sounds with original compositions. At home in Inverness, she works in a café with her sibling Ró and enjoys going out with her friends. When back at Uni, she loves exploring the city, getting involved with society events and of course creating wild looks for student fashion shows!

Peter, 45 - Senior Pre-Construction Manager from Devon (Went home in week 2)

Peter is married to primary school teacher Becky and together they share a son and two daughters. It was watching Sewing Bee with his daughters that sparked their interest in sewing and together they have been learning how to make their own clothes. One daughter prefers sewing more relaxed and baggy clothes whereas the other follows fashion trends and loves skirts and dresses. They all sew on Peter’s granny's vintage Singer sewing machine and he loves knowing 4 generations have crafted and created on the same machine. His daughters pushed him to apply, and they will definitely be helping him design his Made to Measures!

Glendora, 59 - Bus Driver from Luton (Went home in week 3)

Born in Oxhey, near Watford and now residing in Luton with her two cats Joujou and Tigra, Glendora is a woman of many talents and stories. Glendora is from a large family, with 8 siblings and a mix of half-brothers and sisters. Her upbringing in Oxhey as the only Black family in an all-white area has shaped her understanding of cultural identity. Her mother’s involvement in the Afro-Caribbean society in Watford brought West Indian culture to the community through food and music events, fostering a sense of belonging and cultural pride. Since 2006, Glendora has been a bus driver, a job she loves for its variety and the time it allows her to enjoy her home life. Transitioning from driving the iconic double-decker buses in London to handling local services, Glendora finds joy in the diversity of her passengers and the ever-changing nature of her routes. As one of the few women in a predominantly male industry, she relishes breaking the mold and being part of the growing number of female bus drivers.

Yasmin, 30 - Research and Development Scientist from Gateshead - FINALIST

Research and Development Scientist Yasmin lives in Gateshead with fiancée and resident doctor Sophie. Yasmin comes from a family where fixing, mending and making was always preferred over buying new, but it was her dad who really taught her how to make her own clothes from scratch. Yasmin’s dad was an engineer and talented self-taught tailor (although sewing fast was not in his wheelhouse – he could spend hours hand-basting a sleeve!). They always joked that they would apply for the Sewing Bee as a dad/daughter duo but after he passed away in 2023, she wanted to apply in his memory. The last item they made together was a vibrant pink zebra dress that she wore to his brightly-coloured funeral. He continues to be her biggest inspiration and will be with her all the way.

Novello, 66 - Family Business Owner and Magistrate from London (Went home in week 4)

Novello is the matriarch of a wonderfully eclectic family that spans continents. She's the proud mum of three dynamic grown-ups: a daughter and two sons, living fascinating lives in London, the New Forest, and Mexico. With nine spirited grandchildren aged one to eighteen, her life is always full of youthful energy. Novello’s family puzzle also includes two stepchildren from her late husband and three more from her current husband, Andrew. Growing up in the Welsh valleys with four boisterous brothers and one sister, all with names beginning with 'N'.

Dan, 37 - Performer from Durham (Went home in week 6)

Dan grew up in a close-knit village in Durham and currently shares a home there with his sister, while his partner Joel pursues career opportunities in Ireland. Despite the distance, they are making it work and are eagerly planning to reunite in Ireland soon. From a young age, Dan has been drawn to the stage. His passion for performance led him to become a versatile entertainer, skilled in fire breathing, stilt walking, angle grinder acts and dance. His career as a performer took off alongside his entrepreneurial spirit, founding Legacy, an events company supplying dynamic entertainers across the Northeast.

Saffie, 32 - Lecturer in Product & Industrial Design from London (Went home in week 2)

Saffie lives in a live/work studio in Haggerston with her partner Fred. She has a rich multicultural background including Jamaican, Guyanese, and English heritage. Growing up in North London, she was surrounded by a close-knit family including a brother and a twin sister, with whom she shares a special bond, despite being non-identical and completely different in personalities. Saffie fondly remembers her grandmother, whose hidden stash of vintage fabrics from Ridley Road markets in the 60s and 70s inspired her passion for sewing.

Stuart, 53 - Premises Manager from Herefordshire (Went home in week 7)

Originally from Surrey, Stuart now resides in a charming village in Herefordshire. Stuart balances his life as a dedicated premises manager with his loving family, including his wife and three children as well as their mischievous Border Terrier, Treacle. Stuart’s family are not just supportive; they’re active participants in his creative adventures, often bringing him clothes to mend with his meticulous sewing skills.

Last year, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, who took part in the celebrity festive edition of the sewing contest in 2021, took over hosting duties while regular presenter, comedian Sara Pascoe, was on maternity leave.

Sara is now back in her presenting role and is ready to help the sewers through their challenges for the 2025 series.

Classically-trained musician Luke was crowned winner of The Great British Sewing Bee 2024. The diversity, equality and inclusion director wowed the judges throughout the series with their bold, stylish designs and clever use of fabrics.

After Esme and Patrick announced Luke as the winner and handed them the gold trophy, they said: “Honestly, this just doesn't feel real. Never did I think I'd get close to the final, let alone win – this is wild! I'm so proud of myself and I don't tend to say that a lot, but I'm really proud of myself."

Gladiators 2026 is on the way, once again reuniting us with our favourite Lycra-clad superhumans as they battle it out with a new batch of fit and eager contenders.

While we are still waiting for a release date from the BBC, the new series of Gladiators traditionally hits our screens at the start of the year, so we expect this new series to be released in January 2026.

Father-and-son duo Bradley Walsh and Barney Walsh are back once again to host the third series of Gladiators, which is filmed at Sheffield's Utilita Arena.

It is thought that ex-Premier League ref Mark Clattenburg, fitness pro Lee Phillips and former international netball player Sonia Mkoloma will all be back to make sure the challenges are fair and square.

Voice-over commentary for the series is provided by former football commentator Guy Mowbray.

It has been announced today that BBC Saturday night sensation Gladiators has been renewed for a third series — and that there is also another celebrity spin-off on the way, too.

When the BBC rebooted the 90s show Gladiators in 2004, I was excited to see the series back on my screen, especially as this time around, I have a young family to settle down with on a Saturday evening and watch together. However, no one could predict just how huge the show's comeback would be.

After two hugely successful seasons, Bradley and Barney Walsh will oversee proceedings for series three as Apollo, Athena, Bionic, Comet, Cyclone, Diamond, Dynamite, Electro, Fire, Fury, Giant, Hammer, Legend, Nitro, Phantom, Sabre, Steel, and Viper return to the arena.

The Gladiators will showcase their power, agility and banter against courageous contenders from the general public, and as always, a loyal audience will pack out Sheffield Arena to see their favourite superheroes in action.

Despite the show's format remaining very close to the original series, each year, bosses add new courses and challenges and 2026 is no different, with the BBC promising the new series is set to be the biggest yet.

But that's not the only good news for Gladiators fans, because we are also being treated to another celebrity spin off, where once again we will see four brave celebrities taking on the toughest test on TV as they enter the arena in a bid to prove they have the power to succeed and emerge victorious.

Celebrities put their problem-solving skills to the test in 5's new game show Celebrity Puzzling, which is hosted by Jeremy Vine with Sally Lindsay and Carol Vorderman as team captains.

In each episode, Sally and Carol will be paired up with star guests and will have to crack some taxing word and letter puzzles. The teasers vary from episode to episode, except for the final round, which is always the brainbusting Memory Bank, a challenge that calls to mind the old memorise-the-items-on-a-teatray parlour game!

Jeremy Vine

The journalist and TV and radio presenter is known for his daytime current affairs show on 5, simply called Jeremy Vine, and his lunchtime talk show on BBC Radio 2. He’s also known for hosting the quiz show Eggheads on BBC2 and 5.

Carol Vorderman

Carol found fame on C4’s words and numbers quiz Countdown. She appeared on the show from its first episode in 1982 until 2008, and her role involved handing the letter and number tiles that set the challenges for each round, but she’s best remembered for demonstrating her genius mathematical skills to solve the arithmetic-based puzzles.

Over the years, she has presented myriad shows including CITV’s How 2, ITV1’s Better Homes and BBC1’s Points of View. She was a presenter on the ITV1 talk show Loose Women from 2011 until 2014, and has hosted The Pride of Britain Awards on ITV1 every year since its launch in 1999.

She has also appeared as a contestant on reality shows, including Strictly Come Dancing (2004), I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! (2016) and The Great Celebrity Bake-Off (2020).

Sally Lindsay

Sally is probably best known for playing Shelley Unwin in ITV1’s Coronation Street. She played the barmaid and later landlady of the Rovers from 2001 to 2006. Some of her biggest storylines included Shelley’s bigamous marriage to Peter Barlow and an abusive and controlling relationship with Charlie Stubbs.

Her other roles have included Lisa Johnson in Sky One comedy-drama Mount Pleasant (2011–2017), Alison Bailey in ITV1’s police procedural Scott & Bailey (2011–2016), and Kath Agnew in the BBC1 sitcom Still Open All Hours (2013–2019). Since 2021, she has starred as Jean White in The Madame Blanc Mysteries on 5 (2021–present), which she also co-created and produces.

She’s also appeared as a panellist on Loose Women and was the quizmaster on Sally Lindsay's 70s Quiz Night, which aired on 5 earlier this year.

Her first TV appearance was on BBC1’s Top of the Pops as a singer in St Winifred's School Choir, after it released There's No One Quite Like Grandma in 1980 and hit the No.1 spot in the charts..

In Other Words
Teams see the initials of two-word answers alongside synonyms for each word. They must deduce the full answer.

Thirdle
Stacks of words are shown with their third letter missing. Teams fill in the blanks to spell a vertical word.

Heat Map
A QWERTY keyboard is used to reveal letter frequencies in the answer (Yellow: 1x, Orange: 2x, Red: 3+). Teams use this info to guess the word.

Funundrum
Teams must unscramble three anagrams of increasing length. The fastest team earns bonus points.

Intervenntion
Based on Venn diagrams. Teams must give answers that fit into the overlap of two categories, shown as images or labeled sets.

Word Block
Teams fill in missing letters in a block to create two vertical and two horizontal words — all under time pressure.

Shapeshifters
Teams pick answers from a grid that fit into a specific shape (no rotation allowed). The answers relate to a given category.

Song Cypher
Similar to Cinema Cypher, but with song titles. A code hides the answer, and teams can ask for clues at a points penalty.

Cinema Cypher
Classic movie titles are hidden behind coded symbols. Teams can attempt to solve for full points or request clues (cyphers) for reduced points.

Join The Dots
Connecting lines between dots gradually animate to form a clue or image. Teams buzz in with the answer — first correct buzz wins the point.

Celebrity Puzzling Q&As with Jeremy, Carol and Sally

JEREMY VINE

What made you want to host Celebrity Puzzling? Is it because you love puzzles or was it to do with seeing celebrities under pressure?

“I'm a massive puzzle fan. I also think it's a delightful format. It has a beautiful simplicity, challenging people based on their instincts instead of their quiz abilities. Rather than asking them when Henry VIII was born or the date of the Battle of Trafalgar, it's something anyone can play. It’s great to play along at home! I love the vibe of it. And yes, I like to see whether we can break a few celebrities along the way!”

You’re known for talking about and debating about politics and current affairs. How does being quizmaster compare to your other job?

“I suppose everyone at the moment is exhausted by politics. Wall-to-wall Donald Trump coverage! I don’t think he was mentioned once in Celebrity Puzzling. Not as an anagram either! It was a completely non-news environment. I think for people who despair at the way the world is going, we can offer the perfect escape: a fast car out of the real world. Join us!”

Did you know Carol and Sally before filming Celebrity Puzzling?

“I’d interviewed them before, so I knew them in that showbiz way. I’d met them, spent a bit of time with them, but didn’t really know them. This was the first time we really had some proper social time together. I’ve been talking today about my admiration for Carol,, but I also equally admire Sally Lindsay. She’s such a creative force! An actor who decided to write her own drama, and she’s made a huge hit of it. She writes in a shed in her garden! She was probably nervous about the quiz element, but then just got really into it and played so well. Carol and Sally are a formidable duo!”

Was there a sense of rivalry between Carol and Sally as they played in their teams?

“Definitely! They were constantly watching each other’s questions like hawks, detecting any signs of weakness, and generally trying to ginger up their teammates. It was a full-on medieval joust between the two of them!”

What was the atmosphere like on the set of Celebrity Puzzling?

“It was a joy to film. We were all thinking afterwards: if it’s as much fun to watch as it was to film, then we’re onto a great show! It was mainly about the joy of hanging out together. It made me think of family holidays when you’re looking for something to do with the kids for an hour or two on the beach – a pack of playing cards or portable Monopoly – you’re partly doing it to play the game, but also as an excuse to hang out. That’s what makes it such a smile all the way through. I think that puzzling, quizzing thing is just so innate to all of us. At our core is this primal desire to answer a question correctly. That’s why it was so much fun.”

CAROL VORDERMAN

How does it feel to be a team captain on Celebrity Puzzling?

“I can’t remember being a team captain before… maybe I have been, but I don’t remember! It was lovely, because when you’re just a celebrity on another show, you do one episode and that’s it. But this was great, because I love working with teams and I’ve really missed that.”

Do you do puzzles in your spare time?

“I do Sudokus every day with my brother and sister! We have a WhatsApp group and we time ourselves with three a day. They do beat me a lot at times. Sometimes I’ll try other bits and pieces, but I never do crosswords. I don’t know why. They just don’t interest me. Sudoku is really my thing.”

What’s more enjoyable, answering questions or being the quizmaster?

“I’ve hosted so many quiz shows over the years but I’d rather be a contestant, I think. I really enjoyed it because I like having that full focus. You have to concentrate, and I loved that.”

Did you know Sally and Jeremy before filming the show?

“Sally and I have known each other for years. We’re both Northerners. We started working together on Loose Women about 14 or 15 years ago, and that’s when we became friends. We have the same attitude to life, and we’ve shared a lot of fun times with mutual friends like Alan Carr and Paul O’Grady. Jeremy - I’d worked with him before but hadn’t really socialised with him much so it was really great getting to spend more time with him on this and get to know him more. I’m a big fan and he’s a good laugh.”

Was there any teammate that you particularly enjoyed working with on Celebrity Puzzling?

“Honestly, I loved working with everyone. But it was especially lovely to see Scarlett Moffatt and Sam Quek again, because we were together in the jungle [in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2016]. It was like the girls getting back together and we were just missing a campfire in the middle of the studio! Everyone was good, really. A lot of them we knew beforehand, and some have become friends since. But I just thought it was a really good pairing. Melvin Odoom was so funny. It was actually the first time I’d met Melvin - since his I’m A Celebrity stint when he had a pillowcase with my face on it during the series. He really is a special human being.”

SALLY LINDSAY

What’s it like being a team captain on Celebrity Puzzling?

“I was a little bit nervous about being a team captain on Celebrity Puzzling because I knew I’d find the puzzling itself a challenge. My strengths are really more in general knowledge, history, pop culture – so I actually surprised myself with this job. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be! The easiest rounds for me were the logic and lateral thinking ones. The pattern and memory-based puzzles were quite complicated – it really depends on how your brain works as an individual.”

We saw you not so long ago as the quizmaster on Sally Lindsay’s 70s Quiz Night. What was it like being the host instead of a team captain?

“I absolutely loved being the host. It’s such fun – and a major advantage when you know the answers!”

We’ve seen you on quizzes like Tenable and Pointless. Are you a fan of quizzes?

“It’s no secret that I love a quiz. I’ve been on them all and now I have my own! A good quiz is the full package: it’s light entertainment, drama, glitzy and ultimately, lots of fun.”

As an actor, how does it feel to be on screen as yourself rather than a character?

“I know some actors find it impossible to be themselves on camera, but since I did my first live interview back in the early 2000s, I’ve always really enjoyed that side of the business. I find it quite easy to be myself.”

What do you think viewers will make of Celebrity Puzzling?

“I think viewers will love it. It’s warm and funny, but actually quite difficult, so it’s definitely a game you can play along with at home.”

Who'll be joining them as a coach this series?

The big news for this series is that, joining the line-up, is none-other than US megastar Kelly Rowland, who replaces 2024 coach LeAnn Rimes.

The Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, actress, producer and television personality shot to fame in the 1990s as a member of global pop supergroup Destiny’s Child, famous for such hits as Bootylicious, Bills Bills Bills and Survivor.

As a solo artist, Kelly has sold more than 40 million records worldwide and is known for hit singles including Dilemma (a collab with rapper Nelly), Work and the David Guetta dance anthem When Love Takes Over.

What skills does Kelly have to be a judge on The Voice UK?

Kelly is no stranger to The Voice family, having judged FOUR seasons of The Voice Australia (2017-2020).

For the show's seventh season, she became the winning coach as two of her contestants, Sam Perry and Bella Paige, became the final two, with Sam being crowned winner and Bella as the runner-up.^[148]

Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am reckons this is going to be the 'dopest' series of The Voice UK yet.

"I can't wait for the new season of The Voice UK. I'm so happy to be back on it," says will.i.am.

The Voice UK season 14 host

Presenter Emma Willis is back as host for this 14th run, as the blind auditions get underway.

Hopefuls take to the stage to perform to the show's resident superstar coaches, who all have their backs to the singers. If they like what they hear, they can hit their button spinning their big red chair around. If one or more coaches turn, the singer gets to decide which team they want to join.

"I’m so excited to be back for another series of The Voice UK," says Emma. "It’s one of the most joyful shows to work on - full of passion, talent and of course those unforgettable moments when the chairs turn. Celebrity cakemaster Duff Goldman is known for his massive confections, but things are going to a whole new extreme in Super Mega Cakes on Food Network.

"These life-sized sweet creations are unlike anything anyone has ever seen – there are cakes with holograms, cakes that float, even cakes that have cameras inside,” Betsy Ayala, Head of Content, Food, Warner Bros. Discovery, said in a press release. “Duff and these incredible cake artists pushed culinary limits in every episode, and we cannot wait for our viewers to see each masterpiece."

Some of the themes coming to the six-episode season include a Superman challenge, Under the Sea and Alien Invasion.

Joining Flay this season are Maneet Chauhan and Antonia Lofaso. Lofaso is coming in fresh off her win in Guy Fieri's Tournament of Champions.

This season's judges are Carson Kressley, Rodney Scott and Brooke Williamson.

And the Brawlers lined up include Tyler Anderson, Kyle Bryner, Jason Dady, Alexandra Donnadio, Greg Gatlin, Brad Leighninger, Thyron Mathews, Rosalie Bradford Pareja, Orchid Paulmeier, Tim Van Doren, Arturo Ramon and Aarthi Sampath.

Britain’s Got Talent 2025 has given us sensational singers, dangerous daredevils, magnificent Minions and everything in between. Now the stage is set for the grand final on Saturday night - and the ITV1 show’s longest-serving judge Amanda Holden cannot wait…

"It’s always electric and emotional," says Amanda, who has a front-row seat on the panel alongside fellow judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli, as the top 10 acts from the live shows perform again for the chance to win a spot at this year’s Royal Variety and a £250,000 cash prize.

"We put our faith in our fifth judge, the viewers at home. Sometimes you read online that people aren’t happy with the winner, but it’s all a public vote on the night, so if you want someone to win, then please vote!"

In an exclusive interview with What To Watch, Amanda looks back on this series and reveals her hopes for the final…

It’s been another great year for Britain’s Got Talent. What have been your standout moments?

"Well, it’s been quite the series! Simon’s been stitched up more than ever - he’s been dressed up as Gru by ‘Minions’ dance troupe Lil Ms, then there was The Hacker who got Simon to audition on stage, then we had Kranthi Drillman, the guy who smashed melons with a sledgehammer next to Simon’s head! I bet Robbie Williams never envisioned his song ‘Let Me Entertain You’ being performed by Papi’s rubber chickens. And who could forget the terrifying Auzzy Blood!? All our semi-finalists have been amazing - and my golden buzzer acts have blown me away with their talent."

The Golden Buzzer was introduced to the live shows, which this time aired weekly. What’s been the impact of those changes?

"The Golden Buzzer has added even more excitement to the live shows. Since it began, BGT has been known for its strip of live shows during the half-term week and I feared we wouldn’t keep the audience’s attention. I needn’t have worried though as the ratings have been through the roof and it feels like a really big night out for all of us every week!"

Who do you think has what it takes to follow in the footsteps of last year’s champ, Sydnie Christmas, and win BGT?

"I’ve been very vocal this year that I’d like a large group to win, that way more people will enjoy the experience of performing at the Royal Variety and benefit from the £250,000 prize money. I loved watching our BGT golden girl, Sydnie, perform alongside Loren Allred during the live shows. What an incredible year she’s had - I adore Sydnie and I can’t wait to see what’s next for her."

You’ve been on BGT since it started in 2007. How has working with Simon changed in that time?

"Simon is a dear friend of mine. Since his partner Lauren [Silverman] came into his life, followed by his son Eric, he’s totally changed for the better. He’s so much more relaxed but likes to have fun. He still works very hard and is always thinking of ways to make the show better but it’s a real joy to still be sitting next to him. This year was BGT’s 18th birthday and we learnt this series that Simon celebrated his own 18th birthday in Magaluf, which still blows my mind!"

As well as BGT, among other things, you co-host BBC renovation show Amanda and Alan’s Spanish Job and Netflix series, Cheat: Unfinished Business. How significant has BGT been to your career?

"Getting the BGT job was life-changing for me. Our contracts are yearly, so I never take it for granted that I’ll be back each year! I’m having the busiest and best time in my Fifties, who’d have thought that? And I grab those work opportunities because it’s important to me to show my girls, Lexi and Hollie, that anything is possible if you work hard. I look up to women like J-Lo, Kylie and Davina McCall, all smashing it and looking great and I just want to fly the flag too. What’s the secret to success? Work out to enjoy a glass of rosé!"

Last summer, US viewers were introduced to the game show The 1% Club hosted by Patton Oswalt, airing on Fox and streaming on Prime Video. The show quickly became a hit, so it’s little surprise The 1% Club season 2 is back as part of our summer 2025 TV schedule. But there are a couple of changes that fans are going to want to know about with the game show.

We’ll get to that just below, but it's worth mentioning that the summer TV slate is filled with game shows. Joining The 1% Club on Fox are LEGO Masters season 5, The Quiz with Balls season 2 and reality/competition show The Snake. Elsewhere, ABC has Celebrity Family Feud, Press Your Luck, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and Match Game.

But back to what fans can expect from The 1% Club season 2. Read on for all the info you need to know.

The 1% Club season 2 next episode

The 1% Club airs Tuesdays at 8 pm ET/PT on Fox, but a rerun of the game show is going to air on Fox on Monday, August 11, at 8 pm ET/PT as well.

If you want to watch The 1% Club season 2, you will need either a pay-TV provider, TV antenna or a live TV streaming service (Fubo, Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV and YouTube TV) with access to Fox, or a subscription to Hulu.

The 1% Club season 2 host

Another tweak to The 1% Club this season is that there is a new host. Instead of Patton Oswalt, who hosted the first season, Joel McHale is taking on hosting duties for The 1% Club.

McHale is already a staple on Fox with his show Animal Control, which was recently renewed for season 4, and the reality show Crime Scene Kitchen. McHale also has previous hosting experience with House of Villains and The Soup.

“99% of us are unfortunately not as funny as Joel McHale, which makes him the perfect host for The 1% Club. His unmatched approach to comedy is innately unpredictable and will take audiences on a thrill-ride as they watch him in action with our contestants, striving to put their wits to the test,” said Ryan O’Dowd, president of Unscripted, BBC Studios, Los Angeles Productions.

The 1% Club season 2 gameplay

Here is the official synopsis of The 1% Club from Fox:

“The 1% Club is a unique, compelling and funny entertainment show that tests the nation’s intelligence, based on a scientific survey. It’s a chance to test how your brain works through a series of questions that all have a right answer but can also lead to a series of entertaining wrong answers along the way. Whether you’re a contestant vying for the cash prize or a viewer playing with your friends and family, answer enough questions correctly, and you could earn yourself a place in the 1% Club: an elite group of people who can honestly say they’ve outwitted 99% of the population.”

Presuming the game show follows the same basic format as season 1, the game will have its group of contestants answering 15 questions, starting with the 90% question and then increasing in difficulty until the final 1% question. All participating contestants answer each question, but if they get one wrong, then they are eliminated from the game.

The summer TV season is upon us, so let’s play some games. Game shows are a big part of the slate (don’t worry, there are plenty of must-see dramas, comedies and reality TV series as well), including The Quiz with Balls season 2, Fox’s game show that proved quite the hit with audiences in summer 2024.

It’s one of many game shows that Fox is featuring as part of its summer lineup. Among the other Fox game shows are LEGO Masters season 5, The 1% Club season 2 and the new game show, The Snake.

The Quiz with Balls is new on Monday, August 11, at 9 pm ET/PT on Fox.

To watch The Quiz with Balls live, you need access to your local Fox station. That can be procured through a traditional pay-TV provider, a TV antenna or a live TV streaming service that carries Fox, which includes Fubo, Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV and YouTube TV.

If you’ve cut the cord from live TV, you can watch The Quiz with Balls on demand, as episodes of the game show will stream on Hulu the day after they air on Fox.

While the title gives you a broad sense of what the show is, let’s dive a little deeper into what The Quiz with Balls offers viewers.

The game show is described by Fox as a “high-stakes quiz show with a large-scale physical competition.” In each episode, two families are competing for a grand prize of $100,000. Each family must work together to answer multiple-choice questions. However, the twist is that the teams are standing on a high platform above a pool, and for each question a giant ball is allocated to a single spot where one of the family members is standing. If they get the question right, the ball will stop before it reaches the contestant. If they get the question wrong, the contestant is knocked into the pool, removing that player from the game.

The more players each team loses, the harder the questions get. But the longer they last, the more money they are able to bank. But when there is only one dry contestant left, they then compete in the final round for the $100,000 grand prize.

It's time for another beloved Fox reality competition to return for the summer. This beloved show features talented contestants and everyone's favorite building blocks: LEGO. LEGO Masters season 5 shares Monday nights with America's Most Wanted.

It's worth noting that LEGO Masters was renewed for a fifth season in September 2024, ahead of the season 4 premiere, so we could see another early renewal for season 6 in the coming weeks.

It's time for another round of elite athletes to compete on the world's toughest courses to see who can win the American Ninja Warrior season 17 crown.

In season 15, 18-year-old Vance Walker took home the big prize, becoming only the third person to win . Walker repeated with a victory in season 16, and he'll be back in season 17 to see if he can get the three-peat, once again facing off with competitors and a new bracket. How that will impact how the tournament shapes up.?

American Ninja Warrior season 17 hosts

Comedian Matt Iseman (Clean House) and former pro-football player Akbar Gbajabiamila (Access Hollywood) return for another season, along with co-host Zuri Hall.

Iseman has been with the series for 16 seasons and Gbajabiamila is entering his 13th season. Season 17 marks Hall's seventh year with the show.

Celebrity Traitors is coming to the UK this Autumn, and we now finally know which famous faces will be banished to The Traitors castle to take part in the ultimate game of deceit and betrayal.

The celebrity spin-off series, which will have nine episodes, will see 19 well-known stars play the ultimate game of detection, backstabbing and trust, all in the hope of winning a cash prize up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.

Ever since the celebrity version of the hit BBC show was announced, the rumour mill has been going into overdrive about who might be joining Claudia Winkleman in the Scottish Highlands. But today, Tuesday, May 13, the BBC finally put us out of our misery and announced the official lineup for the show.

This year's Celebrity Traitors will see comedian Alan Carr, singer Cat Burns, Thursday Murder Club star Celia Imrie, singer Charlotte Church and TV broadcaster Clare Balding taking part in the show.

Joining them will be filmmaker David Olusoga, former England rugby player Joe Marler, comedian Joe Wilkinson, TV presenters Jonathan Ross and Kate Garraway, comedian Lucy Beaumont and actor Mark Bonnar.

Comedian Nick Mohammed, content creator Niko Omilana, singer Paloma Faith, actor Ruth Codd, actor, writer and presenter Stephen Fry are also taking part. And finally, EastEnders star Tameka Empson who plays Walford's Kim Fox, and Olympian Tom Daley are also joining the show.

Speaking of the new celebrity series, Claudia Winkleman said: “We’re incredibly lucky these brilliant people have said yes. I’d love to say we’ll take it easy on them and they’ll just wander round the castle and eat toast for a couple of weeks but that would be a lie.”

Celebrity Traitors will work in the same way as the regular show and as always, the contestants will arrive at the castle as Faithfuls but Claudia will choose a number of Traitors who must try to remain undetected.

Over the course of the show, the group works together to successfully complete challenges known as ‘missions’ and add cash to the prize money, but the drama comes when the group must hold regular banishments, where they vote out the person they think is most likely to be a Traitor, while the Traitors can murder Faithfuls for as long as they remain in the game.

If the Faithfuls successfully banish all the Traitors before the end of the game, they split the prize money between them. But if a Traitor remains at the end, the Traitor wins the lot.

Celebrity Traitors is coming to BBC One and BBC iPlayer this Autumn.

The biggest party in Europe is back with Eurovision 2025 - and this year's celebration marks the 69th year of the show, which, this time around, promises to be packed full of brilliant songs, from yearning ballads to club anthems and everything in between.

After two live semi-finals, we now have our 26 finalists and we will once again see Graham Norton providing his annual witty commentary during the live event. Also, as tradition, the reigning champion Nemo will return to the Eurovision stage to remind us exactly why they took home that trophy in 2024, when they won with The Code.

The Eurovision 2025 final will take place on Saturday, May 17, and will air in the UK on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 8pm. The final will also air on Peacock in the US.

Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland, marking the first time Basel has ever hosted Eurovision.

It is tradition for the previous year's winner to host the show, and this year's event will be held in a huge arena called the Jakobshalle after Swiss singer Nemo won Eurovision 2024 with a song called The Code.

This year, a country-pop girl band called Remember Monday will be representing the UK with their catchy tune, What the Hell Just Happened?'.

The band is made up of three friends: Lauren Burne, Holly Anne-Hull, and Charlotte Steel, who met when they were in sixth form in Farnborough, Hampshire.

The girls also appeared on The Voice in 2019 when they were mentored by American singer and actress Jennifer Hudson.

Your track What the Hell just Happened is about the morning after an eventful night out. Did you draw on any personal experiences?

HOLLY "The lyrics are inspired by our own friendship, and there are many nights out we can’t share, where we did wake up thinking just that! There was one where Charlotte actually did lose a shoe [as referenced in the song] – if anyone finds a boot in Reading town centre, you know where to bring it!"
CHARLOTTE "Holly’s hen do, where Lauren and I were bridesmaids, was a whole weekend of ‘What the hell just happened…’!"

Are you nervous about performing for a global audience, which last year tallied over 163 million people?

CHARLOTTE "It’s so hard; you can’t visualise that at all, so it’s not even worth thinking about that many viewers. But knowing that people are watching the three of us living our dream is everything."
HOLLY "It’s not necessarily the size of the audience, it’s that we so badly want to do a good job; that’s where our nerves are coming from. We want to be able to watch it back and be so proud!"

Have you made friends with any fellow competitors already?

HOLLY "Miriana Conte from Malta is a babe! She used to be in a girl band, so we have a connection with her. We’re planning a girls’ holiday to Malta when Eurovision is over!"
CHARLOTTE "Claude from the Netherlands is the sweetest; he was so kind to us just before the pre-party concert in Amsterdam. We all chilled in the dressing room, chatting about how crazy the experience has been."
LAUREN "Sissal from Denmark is also amazing. We’re loving all the girlies in the competition this year – there’s a real feeling of girl power."

Who is your favourite Eurovision act to date?

CHARLOTTE "I’ve been a huge Eurovision fan as long as I can remember. We always host parties where everyone picks a country and brings food and drink from there – we go all out! My favourite has to be Alexander Rybak, who won for Norway in 2009 with Fairytale."
HOLLY "Scooch for me. Their song, Flying The Flag (For You), from 2007 [for the UK] always sticks in my head."
LAUREN "The fabulous Conchita Wurst, who won [for Austria] in 2014 with Rise Like a Phoenix. It was just incredible."

Finally, any teasers about what you’re planning for your performance?

LAUREN "Drama and theatrics!"
CHARLOTTE "We are leaning into our musical theatre backgrounds. We just hope that audiences love the staging and design as much as we do."
HOLLY "And our outfits are pretty cute, too!"

Eurovision 2025 hosts

The Eurovision 2025 final will be presented by stand-up comedian Hazel Brugger, TV presenter Michelle Hunziker and Eurovision veteran Sandra Studer. And, of course, Graham Norton is back providing his witty commentary during the live show.

Graham told us: "I love everything about Eurovision. The range of musical styles and talents combined with the coming together of countries and fans makes it a contest like no other.

"It’s a big year for party anthems: the two that stand out for me are Miriana Conte representing Malta [with pop song Serving] and Emmy for Ireland with an unlikely banger [Laika Party], about an immortal dog. I think Italy might have a good year, with a classic rock ballad [Volevo Essere Un Duro] performed by Lucio Corsi.

"And Remember Monday have a great advantage; they are unlike any other act this year. Their vocals and harmonies are flawless, the song has a strong hook and the trio are hugely likeable. I haven’t been to Basel before, but I’m expecting the contest to run like clockwork, a very clean arena, and fingers crossed for a complimentary chocolate or two!"

In a Doctor Who/Eurovision mashup, Ncuti Gatwa was meant to be the United Kingdom's Eurovision spokesperson, delivering the results of the UK's Jury live during the Grand Final; however, due to 'unforeseen circumstances', Ncuti has had to pull out.

The official statement from the BBC reads: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, unfortunately, Ncuti Gatwa is no longer able to participate as Spokesperson during the Grand Final this weekend. However, we are delighted to confirm that BBC Radio 2’s very own Friday night Kitchen Disco Diva Sophie Ellis-Bextor will be presenting the Jury result live from the UK.

Speaking of her last-minute role, Sophie Ellis-Bextor said: “I love Eurovision and it’s a privilege to be part of 2025’s Grand Final. What an honour it is to announce the UK’s jury score on such a special show which always puts music front and centre. I am very much looking forward to delivering the iconic douze points from the United Kingdom!”

Britain's Got Talent fans were left fuming after a new golden buzzer rule came into play for the semi-finals of the ITV show, asking bosses to rethink the format in a more 'fair' way.

In last night's episode of Britain's Got Talent, which aired on Saturday, 10th May, we saw the introduction of a Golden Buzzer for the knockouts that allowed one judge per week to send an act straight to the final - much to the distress of viewers.

'GOLDEN BUZZER SHOULD ONLY BE PRESSED ONCE ALL THE ACTS HAVE PREFORMED AT THE END... Then they can DECIDE .. I don't think this way is fair,' wrote one fan on X (formerly Twitter).

To which another fan replied, 'Let’s be honest here, they’ve already picked their winner.'

While another said, 'Totally agree as it’s not fair on the rest of the contestants am voting for Electric Umbrella as they deserved the golden buzzer when they appeared.'

And another wrote, 'EXACTLY... The seriously need to change the way the do this Golden Buzzer thing... Need to move it to the end.. When all acts are on stage together.'

While another wrote, 'Totally agree,they know who they want to go through,we all know it’s a fix.'

And another added, 'Or wait til the end and let the public put one act through, and the judges put an act through.'

Meanwhile, another social media user wrote on the social media platform, 'Really don’t understand the golden buzzer process. Surely it’s fairer to see all the acts, then pick who receives the golden buzzer.'

Meanwhile another made the surprising confession, 'I actually really preferred the live shows when there was no audience during the pandemic.

'They want every single act to be the golden buzzer and I can barely hear the judges comments over them screaming and shouting.'

And another agreed, 'I miss the live finals of #BGT being on all week @BGT you need to go back to how things were and stop with the overload of the golden buzzer.'

Other Britain's Got Talent viewers were keen to see Electric Umbrella go through, with another writing, 'Tonight’s #BGT Semi was SO infuriating - If Bruno hadn’t been harangued into using his Golden Buzzer then he would obviously have given it to Ping Pong Pang who deserved it and then Electric Umbrella would have gone through on the public vote as it should have been. Hopefully…'

And another said, 'The golden buzzer is so contrived and staged and awkward. What a joke of an inclusion for the finals.'

If you plan to watch episodes of Kings Court live, you'll need access to Bravo. The channel is a part of many traditional cable/satellite television packages. "In each episode, the kings take the women on fun, adventurous dates to discover which of them tug at their heartstrings. Helping to usher in the inaugural season of the series are supermodel Tyson Beckford, WWE legend Thaddeus “Titus O’Neil” Bullard and retired NBA superstar Carlos Boozer.

Kings Court is hosted by Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete. Holly is a longtime actress and has appeared in 21 Jump Street (the series and movie), Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper and For Your Love. She's even hosted a season of the daytime talk show, The Talk.

Rodney is a former NFL player who got into the acting business, appearing in Why Did I Get Married Too? and Ballers. He's also hosted shows like NFL on Fox.

Taskmaster season 19 is about to launch on Channel 4, with a science-themed tint to the season as you may have guessed from the image at the top of this page.

Harry Aikines-Aryeetey

Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, aka Nitro, was the first celebrity to be announced for the new series.

Harry is an Olympian, multi-gold medal-winning Team GB sprinter, and star of Gladiators. As a sprinter, he has competed at the highest level in the UK since his youth, becoming the first athlete to win gold medals at both 100 and 200 metres at the World Youth Championships, and winning the 2005 BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award aged 17.

Harry is no stranger to the dancefloor after taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing 2024 Christmas Special where he was partnered with Nancy Xu. On joining Strictly Come Dancing, Harry says: “After the Christmas Special, it was so nice I just had to do it twice! I’m so excited to be part of the Strictly family this series and I’m ready to give it all I’ve got. I’ll be bringing tons of energy to light up the dance floor. Let’s hope I’m as quick picking up the routines as I am on the track!”

Dani Dyer

Dani Dyer is a TV personality, broadcaster, author and mother of three. Born in Canning Town, Dani has fronted documentaries such as Is This Anxiety?, has teamed up with her father Danny for podcast Live and Let Dyers and travelogue series Absolutely Dyer: Danny and Dani Do Italy, and has made guest appearances in EastEnders and Celebrity Gogglebox. Dani won Love Island in 2018 and has since amassed over three million social media followers. She is also a published author with her debut book What Would Dani Do? reaching the Sunday Times Bestsellers list. Dani married West Ham footballer Jarrod Bowen in May this year.

Speaking of joining the show, Dani said: "Getting the opportunity to be on Strictly is the second most amazing thing I’ve done this year! I feel very very blessed and cannot wait to get my dancing shoes on."

Alex Kingston

Alex Kingston has been a star of stage and screen for more than four decades, gaining international fame as Dr Elizabeth Corday in the global hit TV drama ER  for eight years, winning a SAG award in the process. She is known to millions of Doctor Who  fans as the iconic River Song, aka The Doctor’s Wife, a role she has played opposite three Doctors on screen and continues in audio adventure and novel form.

Other television work includes a BAFTA-nominated performance as Moll Flanders, plus roles in Douglas Is Cancelled, Treason, Gilmore Girls, Boudica, Lost in Austen, Dodger, A Discovery of Witches, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Arrow.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is a former professional footballer and football manager best known for his prolific goal-scoring career in the Premier League and across Europe. A Dutch international, Jimmy played for clubs including Leeds United, Atlético Madrid and Chelsea, earning a reputation for his power, pace, and precision. Since retiring, Jimmy has become a familiar face in football punditry for major UK sports networks, managed clubs like Burton Albion and Northampton Town and served as an assistant coach for the England national team.

Speaking of joining the show, Jimmy said: "Swapping the pitch for the ballroom is certainly not something I’ve done before, but I’m looking forward to tackling a fun challenge! Bring on a new type of footwork, with hopefully no own goals!"

Balvinder Sopal

Balvinder is an actor whose career spans theatre, radio, film and television. She is most known for playing the infamous Suki Kaur Panesar (now Unwin) on EastEnders since 2019. As Suki she has been at the heart of some of EastEnders’ most gripping and acclaimed storylines, from being part of ‘The Six’ to her on-off affair with Eve Unwin.

On joining Strictly Come Dancing, Balvinder Sopal says: “Being on Strictly is a dream that I held on to, with no proof that it would ever happen. Working on EastEnders and being a part of Strictly Come Dancing is the stuff that dreams are made of. I’m far too excited to put into words how I feel but I’m incredibly excited at the prospect of dancing across the ballroom!”

George Clarke

George Clarke, also known as George Clarkey, is a British YouTuber, podcaster and social media star. George began experimenting with video content as a teenager, quickly discovering the power of humour and honesty to connect with people around the world. Since then he has built a thriving digital career with millions of followers across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, drawn to his authenticity and sharp comedic voice.

Speaking of joining Strictly, George said: "I never thought I’d say this… but I’m doing Strictly! Honestly, I’ve got no idea what I’m doing but I’m excited to get stuck in... and potentially fall over a fair bit!"

La Voix

La Voix is a performer, presenter and singer who competed in the 2024 series of the BBC hit RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.

La Voix is no stranger to national television, starring in shows like ITV's Queens For The Night and Paramount’s Queen Of The Universe, her journey over the years has been nothing short of iconic.

Speaking of being on the show, La Voix said: "I've performed for royalty, RuPaul and Simon Cowell, but nothing fills me with more excitement (and quite a bit of terror) than the thought of dancing in front of millions on live Saturday night TV. Strictly is a national institution and I can't wait to get started. All that's left to say is: good luck to my partner! Here's hoping they can help me go from La Voix into La Danse."

Chris Robshaw

Chris Robshaw is a former England rugby union player and captain. He first joined his childhood club, Harlequins RFC, straight out of school and became captain at 23 years old. He earned 66 caps for England and captained the national team 43 times, leading them to a Six Nations Grand Slam victory in 2016.

Chris is nervous about joining the show... "This is about as far out of my comfort zone as it gets! I’m hoping to take my dad dancing to a whole new level, and my mum can’t wait to drag me along to her Zumba class. Let’s see if a rugby sidestep works in the Cha Cha Cha!"

Ellie Goldstein

Ellie is a model, actor and influencer, who in 2023 made history as the first model with Down syndrome to grace the cover of British Vogue. Her modelling career has also seen Ellie appear on the covers of Glamour, Elle, Mission Mag and Euphoria magazines, and she has featured in huge campaigns for brands such as Gucci Beauty and Adidas. Two years ago Ellie partnered with Mattel to launch the first ever Barbie with Down syndrome, and more recently her acting has taken centre stage, with a guest lead role in CBBC’s Mallory Towers.

On joining Strictly Come Dancing, Ellie Goldstein says: “I’m absolutely over the moon to be joining the cast and pros of Strictly Come Dancing this year. It’s a show I’ve loved watching for so long, and the chance to now be part of it feels like a dream. I know it’s going to be challenging, but I’m ready to do it with the glitter and glamour and make some magic on that dancefloor. Let the Strictly journey begin!”

Thomas Skinner

Thomas Skinner first hit TV screens on The Apprentice in 2019, becoming a breakout star of his series. Since leaving the boardroom, Thomas has appeared on TV shows including 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Wheel, Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, Good Morning Britain and Faking It.

On joining Strictly Come Dancing, Thomas Skinner says: “I’m beyond excited to be joining Strictly Come Dancing. I’ve tackled the boardroom and some big breakfasts in my time but stepping onto the dance floor under that glitter ball is next level stuff!  I’ve never danced in my life (other than at weddings) but I’m ready to graft and of course have a laugh. Bring on the sequins, sambas and most importantly, the BOSH to the ballroom!”

Stefan Dennis

Stefan is an actor best known for playing the legendary role of Paul Robinson in Neighbours, the longest-running drama series in Australian television history. He created the role for the first episode in 1985 and appeared in over 6,000 episodes during the 40 years that the show was on air. Prior to joining Neighbours, Stefan worked extensively on Australian television with roles on numerous shows such as Prisoner, The Henderson Kids, The Sullivans, Young Doctors , and Sons and Daughters, to name a few.

On joining Strictly, Stefan says: “This is an opportunity for me to once again learn to step out of my comfort zone in the world of television. Looking forward to the sparkle and reaching for the sky.”

Vicky Pattison

Vicky Pattison is a TV presenter, author, podcast and radio host who won the nation’s heart after being crowned Queen of the Jungle on I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2015. Vicky has also been a Celebrity MasterChef finalist, appeared on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, and featured in BBC’s Sport Relief: All Star Games and was seen raising money in BBC’s Arctic Challenge for Comic Relief last year.

On joining Strictly, Vicky says: "I’m absolutely buzzing to be part of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing lineup... but I'd be lying if I said I wasn’t terrified. I am a not a natural dancer! However, it’s such an amazing opportunity for me to step out of my comfort zone and to challenge myself in a completely new way and I just really hope I don't make too much of a fool of myself!"

Ross King

Ross can be seen daily on ITV’s Good Morning Britain and Lorraine as their Los Angeles Correspondent. He is a four-time News Emmy winner who has hosted more than 30 television series since his first radio broadcast at 15 and television debut at 17.

On joining Strictly Come Dancing, Ross says: “From the bright lights of Hollywood to the glittering ballroom - it’s a dream come true to be part of such an iconic show. I can’t wait to learn from the best, meet my fellow contestants, and, most importantly… try not to step on too many toes! Let’s give this the best that I can! As my mum always said: “You’ll never know till you give it a go!”

Karen Carney

Karen Carney is a former footballer who played for Chelsea, Arsenal, Birmingham City and England, and is now the lead female pundit for both men's and women's football, across TNT and ITV. With 144 caps, Karen is England’s third most-capped player, competing at four World Cups, four European Championships and the London Olympics before retiring in 2019.

On joining Strictly, Karen says: “It really is a dream come true to be a part of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing line up. I’m such a huge fan of the show and I can’t believe I’m finally getting the chance to take part. I’m so excited to meet everyone and get dancing!"

Lewis Cope

Lewis is best known for his role in ITV’s Emmerdale as Nicky Milligan, who, in an explosive storyline, was revealed to be a member of the series’ iconic Tate and Dingle families. Lewis was nominated for the Rising Star Award at the 2023 National Television Awards for the role. Away from the Dales, Lewis’ other television work includes roles in Vera, Mrs Sidhu Investigates, and Hetty Feather and he previously worked with David Beckham on an advertising campaign.

On joining Strictly, Lewis says: "I'm so excited to be swapping the Dales for the dance floor and joining this year's Strictly Come Dancing. I've always been a fan of the show and cannot wait to get started!”

Kristian Nairn - withdrawn

Kristian was the fifteenth and final celebrity joining Strictly and is an internationally renowned actor, DJ and creative force who has spent over two decades at the forefront of music and entertainment. Kristian is best known for his unforgettable portrayal of Hodor in HBO’s global phenomenon Game of Thrones, a role that earned him a devoted international following and created one of the most iconic and emotional moments in recent TV history.

Sadly, it was announced on Thursday, August 21 that Kristian has had to pull out of the series due to 'unforseen medical reasons'. Speaking of his early departure from the show, he said: “With a heavy heart, I have to step back from this season of Strictly Come Dancing due to unexpected medical reasons. I was truly looking forward to the journey, and I’m deeply sorry to disappoint anyone who was looking forward to seeing me on the dance floor. Thank you all for your support, and I will be back on my feet very soon, in every sense. Love to all, Kristian."

This year's Professional Dancers are Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola.

There will also be two brand new professional dancers, Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon.

American-born Alexis won the US dance series So You Think You Can Dance in 2022. She's also appeared on the US version of Strictly, Dancing With The Stars.

Australian-born Julian has appeared as a Professional Dancer on three seasons of Australia’s Dancing With The Stars, and also competed on So You Think You Can Dance in Australia.

It was revealed via the BBC Strictly Come Dancing Instagram account that Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Head Judge Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke will all be returning to the judging panel.

Who won Strictly Come Dancing 2024?

Chris McCausland and his partner Dianne Buswell lifted the glitterball trophy in Strictly Come Dancing 2024 after beating his fellow finalists, JLS singer JB Gill, actress Sarah Hadland and former Love Islander Tasha Ghouri - an impressive achievement considering Chris was registered blind after losing his sight to retinitis pigmentosa in his 20s.

Following his win an emotional Chris, who had been the viewers' favourite throughout the series, told the BBC: "This has been about changing everybody else's attitudes to what is possible and raising people's expectations because that's where the difference is."

Race Across the World season 5 sees more brave contestants strap on their backpacks and walking shoes to take part in the fast-paced contest. And we're now reaching the final episode as the winner is crowned at last. The final episode airs on BBC One at 9 pm on Wednesday, June 11.

Contestant Brian says: "We wanted to finish the race and get past the elimination leg. We are 17 hours behind the other teams but we’re not worried, we’ll do everything we can to make up the time."

This time around, the show, airing on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, has seen the five pairs of racers travel through a series of checkpoints in Asia in a bid to be the first to reach the finish and take home the jackpot of £20,000.

With no smartphones, internet access, bank cards or air travel, they have to rely on their wits and their budget of £1140 per person, which they can supplement by taking on jobs along the way.

The new run began on Wednesday, April 23, at 9 pm on BBC One. The final episode airs on Wednesday, June 11, at 9 pm on BBC One.

Race Across the World 2025 challenge map

The five duos most race across 14,000 km across Asia, starting at the great wall of China and ending in Kanniyakumari, at the bottom of India.

What happens in episode 1?

The race begins at the Great Wall of China, with the contestants starting 80 km north of Beijing. Beijing is twice the size of London and the contestants face a huge challenge even getting to the city. They then have to deal with the fact it has six major train stations. Their goal in the first episode is to geet to the first checkpoint Huangling.

What happens in episode 2?

The teams set out on their journey to the second checkpoint in Sanya, one of China's most southerly cities, located on Hainan Island. To get there, the teams must choose between city-hopping down the coast of the East China Sea or venturing inland on a more rural route that takes in some of China's most impressive landscapes but it's a race against time as a fast-approaching typhoon threatens to stop all ferries to the island.

What happens in episode 3?

The five pairs race to the island checkpoint of Sanya to the mysterious Shangri-La, a city on the edge of the Tibetan plateau, towards the foothills of the Himalayas.

What happens in episode 4?

The teams discover they are headed to Varanasi, one of the world's oldest living cities — and with one pair almost 24 hours in front, the others are desperate to close the gap. The journey takes the competitors through three countries - China, Nepal and India - and with the mighty Himalayas in their way, they are required to fly to Kathmandu to continue the race.

What happens in episode 5?

It's the halfway point and a 24-hour divide remains between the leaders and those in last place. Ahead is a journey of 1,500km to the fifth checkpoint, McLeod Ganj. Famed for its temples and ashrams, this hill station is not only home to a large Tibetan population but also the 14th Dalai Lama. The teams will need to ascend nearly 7,000ft into the foothills of the Himalayas to reach their destination. But that's not their only challenge. Pangs of homesickness has the contestants questioning whether their need for comfort overrules their desire to race.

What happens in episode 6?

With over two thirds of the race completed, the teams have made it to the Buddhist hill town McLeod Ganj. But there is no time to rest as the sixth checkpoint, Sasan Gir, awaits. Located 1,900km south, in the western state of Gujarat, the next destination provides a gateway to the expansive Gir National Park. Rich with flora and fauna, the forest is the last remaining habitat for the mighty Asiatic lion, which roam freely and even sometimes venture into the local neighbourhoods.

What happens in episode 7?

With just two more stages to complete, less than seven hours separates the teams, so the pairs are now battling to make the it to the final in pole position. All they have to do is navigate the Indian state of Maharashtra to reach Panaji, the tiny capital of Goa. But will they opt for the ferry, followed by a route that avoids the city, or travel by land, on the basis the well-connected city of Mumbai will provide more options for public transport?

What happens in episode 8?

After racing nearly 13,000km over seven weeks through China, Nepal and India, the teams are about to embark on the final leg. Just 1,200km stand between them and the finish line, with a prize of £20,000 for the winning pair. They must travel through India's southern states, a region with a distinctly different flavour, with new languages, cuisines and transitions. And with only seven-and-a-half-hours separating the top three pairs, there's no way of knowing who will be first past the post.

Where are the contestants travelling?

The race begins on the Great Wall of China at Huanghuacheng and the racers must make their way to the Chinese capital Beijing and then either take a rural route or travel via bustling Shanghai to the first checkpoint in Huangling.

As the season continues they will journey across Asia into Nepal and then down through the west of India eventually reaching their final destination in Kanniyakumari in the far south.

Here, the five pairs tell What to Watch why they wanted to take part…

Customer service assistant Sioned, 19, and her boyfriend, engineering student Fin, 18.

“I remember watching series two and thinking it was something up my alley. But you don’t understand how hard it is until you do it!” says Sioned. “Being so young, we haven't experienced a lot compared to some of the other guys, but doing this together has strengthened our bond. Being away from my family was hard and you’ve not got a phone, so it was a jump from normality. But we enjoyed not having phones in the end!”

“We’ve been together for five years and we've never had a real challenge, so it was good to do this to see if we can do life together. It's been incredible,” says Fin. “We always wanted to travel and this is something money can't buy – Nepal’s somewhere I've always wanted to go, and China was a place I never thought I’d go. We were competitive but we realised we also needed to experience things and live in the moment.”

Retired financial advisor Brian, 62, and his brother, driving instructor Melvyn, 65

“Mel persuaded me it’d be good fun! But it was the hardest thing I’ve done,” admits Brian. “Standing on the Great Wall of China was a shock, knowing you're travelling all that way with no help. Then we set off for Beijing but we didn't realise how far away it was, it took hours! But you learn how to plan. Now I’ve more patience with people, take things more slowly, and my relationship with Melvyn is better.”

“I saw the first series, and thought, ‘I could do that!’ But when you start the race, your mind goes blank, and you think, ‘I don't know how to walk, let alone find a bus stop!’,” laughs Melvyn. “There's also the language problem – figuring out signs in Chinese is difficult. And sleeping on the floor at our age isn’t comfortable, but you can do it. It’s all about adapting. You learn quickly, but luck comes in as well!”

Pedagogist (education specialist) Elizabeth, 33, and her sister Letitia, 26, a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

“When I was younger, I was outgoing, but since then, I’d not been pushing myself and I’d got into the nine to five, so I wanted to go back to how I was,” reveals Elizabeth. “We enjoy travelling and have done it individually but not together, so this was a good way to share something we love. We were trying to have the best experiences possible and mine came from staying with local people.”

“I wanted to set a goal for myself, because previously I’d talk myself out of things and be hesitant about trying stuff,” says Letitita. “But I enjoy embracing different cultures and I can't imagine doing it with anyone else – Elizabeth puts up with me! It was important to create memories together but we also gained more competitiveness as the race went on. Once we got into the groove, we thought, ‘Maybe we could do well!’”

Sales director Gaz and ex-wife, data manager Yin, both 54

“I’d done a lot of travelling when I was younger but that was 30-odd years ago, so I was excited to travel again and be tested,” says Gaz. “At first, it was hard switching off from work and missing the news and football results! But it was refreshing. And tackling jobs like farm work was great – you’re seeing the scenery and doing hard work to earn money or food. The race has been an eye-opener.”

“After our marriage breakup, I had a partner for three years, but when he died suddenly, I went to a dark place. I needed to live again and I wanted to do this with Gaz because he’d supported me,” explains Yin. “Without devices or distractions, we were more present and Gaz and I had some honest conversations. And the generosity of people we met was unsurpassed. It puts your own life into perspective.”

Handyman Tom, 21, and mum, housewife Caroline, 60

“I said ‘Yes’ to keep Mum happy but I didn't think there was a chance we’d get on the show!,” smiles Tom. “But I was excited to travel the world with her and India’s somewhere I’ve dreamt of going. It was intense and there were many times where things felt impossible. But we gave it a go and found different ways around. And you learn to appreciate the small things. It has made me more confident and I have more self belief.”

“I watched series two when they went to South America and said, ‘That’s made for me’,” shares Caroline. “I relished this challenge, because I’ve led a comfortable life, and I wanted to step outside that. It was overwhelming though and we struggled. But we coped and learnt how to do better! And we also experienced kindness from people. I’ve amazing respect for Tom now and we’re closer, and I've found inner strength and validation.”

Britain’s Got Talent 2025 auditions have always made waves online - and few know more about becoming an internet sensation than the ITV1 show’s newest judge, KSI.

Launching his current YouTube channel in 2009 at the age of 16, KSI - real name Olajide Olayinka Williams ‘JJ’ Olatunji - dropped out of school to pursue a full-time career creating video content for the social media platform, where he has amassed over 44 million subscribers, largely among the 13-28-year-old ‘Gen Z’ crowd.

‘I was making around £1,500 a month from YouTube. I told my teacher and he was like: “Wow, why are you here!?”’ I thought: “Yeah, why am I here!?” So I left,’ says London-born KSI, 31, as he joins What to Watch for an exclusive chat.

Not content with just online stardom, KSI - which stands for Knowledge, Strength and Integrity - has also gained global recognition for being a boxer, rapper and entrepreneur. With so many strings to his bow, who better to sit on the BGT panel alongside Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli to hunt for the next big thing!?

As the auditions continue on ITV1 this week, KSI lifts the lid on talent, triumphs and, er, toe-wrestling…

You’re already an influencer, boxer, musician and entrepreneur - what appealed to you about becoming a BGT judge?

"I like the option of being able to do what I want, when I want. I feel it’s one of the reasons I’ve been so successful for so long. You never know what to expect from me; one minute I’m a BGT judge - the next I’m boxing and rapping at the same time, as a contestant! I like the freedom. Obviously it can be stressful because it’s a lot for one person, but I manage it."

How did working on camera as a YouTuber help prepare you for being a BGT judge?

"The main thing YouTube has helped me with is being comfortable within myself. I haven’t been afraid to try stuff, constantly jumping out of my comfort zone to the point where nothing really fazes me anymore. The nerves have gone and I can simply enjoy myself."

What’s it been like on the BGT panel alongside Simon, Alesha, Amanda and Bruno - what advice have they given you?

"They have all been so nice and easy to talk to. Best advice was to not be a people pleaser and to say what you truly believe in. I really just immersed myself into the BGT world and loved every bit."

Do you think BGT has brought you a new fan base - have you had many DMs [direct messages] from your followers about BGT?

"Oh, 1000% - mums now know who I am! I’ve definitely had DMs from more mature people compared to what I’m normally used to. I’m just glad the reaction has been mostly positive."

What have been your highlights from the BGT auditions?

"There’s a point in the series where I end up on stage and I’m really not enjoying myself - that will definitely be a highlight. Also, I don’t know if they’re going to put this in the edit but toe wrestling was another thing that was… interesting, ha ha! And, of course, my Golden Buzzer act, singer Stacey Leadbeatter, has been one of my biggest highlights."

Tell us more about what prompted you to press the Golden Buzzer for Stacey…

"I didn’t expect that voice to come from her. I loved her story, the fact she works in a supermarket selling chickens and then nervously comes up on stage and brings the house down. She truly blew me away - I just had to press the Golden Buzzer."

You’ve joined several acts on stage at the auditions, why did you want to get involved with them? And was there a new talent you thought you might be good at yourself?

"I’m a free spirit! I like to get involved as much as I can if I’m allowed. I just think it’s fun to try stuff. And, yeah, toe wrestling, ha ha!"

Of past BGT finalists, singers Calum Scott and Susan Boyle are among those whose auditions went ‘viral’ online, watched 398 million and 292 million times, respectively. Why is it more important than ever for BGT acts to go ‘viral’?

"Anything over one million streams/hits is viral to me. And maybe I’m biased but I feel like there have been more viral moments this season than in previous seasons. Viral moments are so important because it brings more eyes to BGT, adds to the hype of the show and ultimately brings more people wanting to watch more episodes. It’s human nature. If something is constantly creating viral moments, you’re gonna want to tune in eventually."

Which BGT acts would you say have created that 'viral' online moment this series?

"Well, Stacey has definitely gone viral [3.5 million views]. Binita Chetry, the eight-year-old dancer from India, is another example of a viral moment [2.7 million views], and eight-year-old magician, Teddy Magic, went viral, too [1.8 million views]. I could go on but moments like these definitely make a difference to BGT and the talent. My best tip to create a viral moment is do something that hasn’t been done before. Simple as that!"

If you were to audition for BGT, what would your act be and why?

"Boxing and rapping at the same time, ha ha! Because, why not?"

You’ve appeared on C4’s Gogglebox critiquing other TV shows - how would you judge yourself as a panellist on BGT?

"I’m quite critical of myself, so I think I’ve been all right. I’ve definitely brought a different energy to BGT, which has been good. There have been times where I think I’ve been too nice or let the crowd sway my decision - but I think I’ve been a good addition to the judges."

Finally, the online space can be a negative place - how important is it for you to be a positive role model for young people?

"Very important. There is so much negativity happening globally, so if I can be one of the people that brings a positive aura to the world, then I will do it. I will be the escape people need to help them forget about their problems for a moment. My main goal is to entertain - as long as I do that well, I’m happy."
