ITV has revealed it has no further plans for any more series of Dancing on Ice.

Dancing on Ice is one of television's longest-running shows, but there have been rumours that the latest series, fronted by Stephen Mulhern and Holly Willoughby, would be the last.

Now, in an official statement, ITV has confirmed the news saying: "Following another successful series earlier this year, Dancing on Ice will be rested in 2026, with no current plans for another series.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the cast and crew who have worked on the show since 2006, and over the previous 17 series, for all of their hard work both on and off the ice."

Dancing on Ice has been a huge hit for ITV over the years, but viewing figures have declined dramatically, with the latest final only getting 2.7 million viewers. At its peak, the series pulled in around 12 million viewers.

Along with Holly Willoughby, ice skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean have been with the show since the start. The very first series was won by Gaynor Faye.

In this year’s final, Coronation Street star Sam Aston faced former footballer Anton Ferdinand and Springwatch star Michaela Strachan, with all three showing off their skating skills in dazzling performances. Speaking of his win, Sam said: "I've literally got no words! It's just been such a journey, and a mad one. And it was always Molly's dream to be on this show since watching it as a young girl."

It now looks like Sam will be the final ever winner of the show unless Dancing on Ice is rebooted at some point in the future.

After coming runner-up on Series 2 of BBC One's The Traitors, Mollie Pearce has her eye on a different prize as she competes in this year's Dancing on Ice.

Mollie famously got to last year's final of The Traitors and came close to winning — only to realise she'd been hoodwinked by her close pal Harry Clark as he revealed himself to be a Traitor and scooped £95,000 cash.

Now the model and disability activist, 22, is one of 11 famous faces about to show off their skating skills in Dancing on Ice 2025, which returns to ITV1 on Sunday night.

Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern are back as hosts alongside the Ice Panel; Diversity star Ashley Banjo, Strictly's Oti Mabuse and, of course, Olympic legends Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean.

Ahead of Sunday's first live show, What to Watch headed to the Dancing on Ice studios in Bovingdon, Herts, to chat to Mollie — who's partnered with Colin Grafton on the show — about her next big TV challenge...

What motivated you to want to take part in this year's Dancing on Ice?

"I think skating is just such a beautiful sport. It’s so difficult but so rewarding, it’s one of the most incredible things I’ve ever done. I think when I got the call, I didn’t think much about it, I’ve always loved the show so of course I was gonna say yes."

How's training been going? Have you sustained any injuries?

"We had a bit of a setback, yes. I fractured my wrist so I was off the ice for four weeks but we're back now, all mended and throwing everything into it."

You were born with a limb difference and also wear a stoma bag, after being diagnosed with ulcerative colitis aged 11. Are you hoping that doing Dancing on Ice will help raise awareness of these conditions?

"Oh, it’s definitely part of my reason for doing this. I’ve heard from Adele Roberts, who did the show last year — she has a stoma as well and she was incredible. Seeing Adele doing Dancing on Ice last year was massive. It's great to see that representation on the screen."

How are you feeling about your first live performance?

"I’m feeling nervous. I think I've let the nerves get on top of me a little bit but, this week, I'm trying to be a lot more positive, no negative energy. We've worked so hard, and I'm excited to show everyone what we’ve done, so that’s the focus. I’m not a performer, so it’s very new. The whole thing’s new. Skating is new. Performing is new. The outfits are new. The hair is new. It’s all new to me. And I LOVE a spray tan. Especially in January!"

What do your family think of you doing this?

"My mum and dad are very supportive and very proud. They got me a skate necklace for Christmas, it’s very cute. My mom, dad and brother will definitely be here on Sundays screaming in the crowd!"

How are you feeling about being judged by the Ice Panel? How do you handle critique?

"I think it's important to take the criticism as a positive thing. I'm very lucky to be taught by such an amazing pro but then to have the judges critique as well, you can improve week by week. And I think you've just got to take it on as a positive. You can go out, you do your best, and improve next week if you get the opportunity. So I’m thinking of it as a positive… but, of course, there's a chance I might cry!"

We have to ask you about The Traitors. Are you watching?

"Yes, I am watching. I'm really enjoying it."

Who do you think is going to win?

"So much can change in there, so it's way too early to say but I think if the Faithfuls are gonna win they need to work together a bit more. You can’t get people out and find the Traitors if you don’t work together, so it’s finding that balance."

What advice would you give this year's contestants?

"Well, obviously I would say don’t trust anyone— but don't listen to advice from me, because I lost! Have I forgiven Harry? Of course, it’s been so long, I forgave him ages ago!"

Dancing on Ice starts on Sunday January 12 at 6.30 pm on ITV1.

Ferne McCann - second to leave

TV personality Ferne McCann was the first celebrity confirmed to be taking part in the new series of Dancing on Ice. Talking exclusively to GMB, Ferne said: "I'm so excited, it's going to be a huge challenge but I'm excited for the glitz and glamour of the show."

Ferne was skating with Brendyn Hatfield.

Ferne was the second celebrity to leave the show after scoring the lowest marks and leaving without a skate-off. Speaking of her departure, Ferne said she was 'gutted' to be leaving so early in the competition.

Mollie Pearce - sixth to leave

Traitors star Mollie Pearce was the second celebrity confirmed to be taking part. Talking exclusively to Lorraine, Mollie said: "It will be fun. I want to challenge myself, I'm ready for the challenge."

Mollie was skating with Colin Grafton.

Mollie left in week 7 after ending up in the skate-off against Dan Edgar during the show's Musicals Week. The majority of the judges chose to save Dan, with only Oti Mabuse choosing to save Mollie.

Sir Steve Redgrave - third to leave

Olympic rowing legend Sir Steve Redgrave was the third celebrity confirmed to be taking part in the new series. Talking exclusively to This Morning, Sir Steve said: "It's like going back to being an athlete again, I've been competing for most of my life."

Sir Steve Redgrave was skating with Vicky Ogden.

After Steve found himself at the bottom of the leaderboard, presenter Holly told him: "I'm so not ready to say goodbye to you!"

Sam Aston - WINNER

Coronation Street star Sam Aston was the fourth celebrity confirmed for the new series. Talking exclusively to This Morning, Sam said: "I'm nervous but excited to get going. It will be nice for the public to see me for me rather than Chesney."

Sam was skating with Molly Lanaghan.

Charlie Brooks - fifth to leave

Former EastEnders star Charlie Brooks was the fifth celebrity confirmed to be joining the line-up. Talking exclusively to Loose Women, Charlie said: "I'm going to embrace the spray tan. All I want to do is enjoy it and try not to break my leg."

Charlie Brooks was skating with Eric Radford.

Speaking of being the fifth person to be sent home, Charlie admitted she had started to feel out of her depth on the show and was the right person to send home, but thanked partner Eric for his guidance throughout her time on the show.

Josh Jones - pulled out due to injury

Comedian Josh Jones was the sixth celebrity announced. Talking exclusively to Gaydio Josh said: "I've not got any skating experience whatsoever, I did it once for a date years ago and I wasn't very good, I was holding onto the railings the entire time and we aren't together now. My dancing isn't great either, for a gay man I have no rhythm, I struggle to clap along to a beat so this will be fun."

Josh was skating with Tippy Packard.

Sadly for Josh, he was forced to pull out of the show due to injury in week 3. Announcing his departure the show said: "Josh and Tippy's partnership will be greatly missed. We will be helping to support Josh and wish him well with his recovery." Josh's injury occurred during rehearsals and it is yet to be revealed whether the couple will be replaced.

Anton Ferdinand - finalist

Footballer and Pundit Anton Ferdinand was the seventh celebrity revealed to be taking to the ice. Talking to talkSPORT Radio, Anton said: "I decided to sign up for the show because it's a challenge first and foremost. I'm in a new phase of my life since retiring from football and the one of the things I've missed about playing is the structure it gives you.

"Dancing On Ice will give me that focus but I'm also doing it for my daughter because she loves dance and performing arts. My son always had my football to shout about so this will give my daughter and me something to share."

Anton Ferdinand was skating with Annette Dytrt.

Chelsee Healey - first to leave

Actress Chelsee Healey was the eighth celebrity to be announced and she revealed the news on Heart Radio. Chelsee said: "I'm ready, I'm good to go, let's go! I've got a bit of rhythm but skating on ice is completely different, I'm excited. I'm most excited for the live shows, getting to perform live every week will give me a buzz, I can't wait for the live shows."

Chelsee was skating with Andy Buchanan but sadly they were the first couple to leave the show after finding themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard. Chelsee praised Andy for her "amazing" journey on the show, adding: "I honestly couldn't have done it without him".

Dan Edgar - seventh to leave

TOWIE star Dan Edgar was the ninth celebrity announced, and he revealed the news on Heart Radio. Dan said: "I'm looking forward to it but the thought of the live shows and performing is very real. I like to think I can ice skate a little bit but I'm a terrible dancer so that bit is going to need some work."

Dan was skating with Vanessa James.

Dan narrowly missed out on a place in the final after finding himself in the dreaded skate-off against Anton Ferdinand.

Chris Taylor - fourth to leave

Reality Star and Presenter Chris Taylor was the tenth celebrity confirmed. Chris said: "I'm somewhere between absolutely terrified and very excited and I keep flitting between the two quite aggressively throughout the day. I've not even started stretching yet, I need to. I can skate but my dad got the snakehips, unfortunately, I didn't inherit that genetically from him."

Chris was skating with Vanessa Bauer.

Chris found himself in the bottom two with Anton Ferdinand and partner Annette Dytrt, as the dreaded skate-off returned after four weeks and both couples were forced to perform again for the judges. Sadly Chris was the celebrity they chose to send home.

Michaela Strachan - runner up

Television Presenter Michaela Strachan was the eleventh celebrity announced and she told Lorraine the good news... "It's going to be a big challenge the last time I was on ice was four years ago when I took the kids, I'm not one of those people who holds onto the sides I guess because I was trained as a dancer I've got a bit of balance. I've always been one of those people who says yes, I'll do that."

January 19 - Chelsee and Andy

Chelsee found herself in the bottom two with comedian Josh and in the end it was Chelsee and Andy who left the show. As she thanked Andy for their time together and added: "I feel personally there's been a lot going on with me that I've been struggling with so I couldn't completely focus. Andy knows. I'm just really grateful. I had the best time!"

January 26 - Ferne McCann and Brendyn Hatfield

Ferne became the second celebrity to leave after skating to a Trolls-inspired number for her young daughter, Sunday. She said she was ‘so gutted’ to be leaving the show so early, adding: ‘We were having so much fun, I’m really sad. Brendyn, you’ve been amazing, thank you so much. It’s been brilliant. So fantastic.’

February 2 - Sir Steve Redgrave and Vicky Ogden.

After Steve found himself at the bottom of the leaderboard, presenter Holly told him: "I'm so not ready to say goodbye to you! I was just talking to your children and they were like he has loved every second of this, you really have haven't you?" He replied: "I haven't enjoyed the falling over, but it's been absolutely amazing and this young lady [his skating partner Vicky Ogden] has been incredible."

February 9 - Chris Taylor and Vanessa Bauer

Chris found himself in the bottom two with Anton Ferdinand and partner Annette Dytrt, as the dreaded skate-off returned after four weeks and both couples were forced to perform again for the judges. After Chris’s exit, Holly Willoughby said: "You’ve been brilliant, and I feel like you’ve loved this even though this partnership hasn’t been long, it’s been enjoyable," she said referring to the fact Chris's first skating partner, Vanessa Bauer, was forced to withdraw from the series after tearing ligaments in ‘an accident’ backstage meaning Chris was then partnered with Robin. Chris agreed it was a ‘brief encounter’ but jokingly quipped that he is ‘used to that.’

February 16 - Charlie Brooks and Eric Radford

Former EastEnders star Charlie and her skating partner Eric showed off their best moves to the 1981 tune Never Too Much to mark 80s week but sadly found themselves in the skate-off against Anton Ferdinand. Speaking of her exit Charlie said she had begun to feel "out of her depth" as she confessed that she was the "right person" to go home.

February 23 - Mollie Pearce and Colin Grafton

The Traitors star Mollie Pearce became the sixth celebrity to be eliminated from Dancing on Ice after ending up in the skate-off against Dan Edgar during Musicals Week. Mollie performed to the Mamma Mia soundtrack, but in the end, the majority of the judges chose to save Dan, with only Oti Mabuse choosing to save Mollie. "I've had the best time, these are happy tears," Mollie said of leaving the show. "This was the experience of a lifetime and I'm so happy that I made it this far."

March 2 - Dan Edgar and Vanessa James

Dan narrowly missed out on a place in the final after finding himself in the dreaded skate-off against Anton Ferdinand. Speaking of his time on the show, Dan said: "Just want to say thank you to everyone for the support and everyone involved. I'm very grateful and enjoyed the whole experience."

Who won Dancing on Ice 2024? 

Ryan Thomas and his professional partner Amani Fancy were crowned the Dancing on Ice 2024 champions on Sunday, March 10 after impressing the judges week-on-week.

Ryan and Amani reached the final, battling it out to win the coveted title against Miles Nazaire, Vanessa Bauer, Adele Roberts, and Mark Hanretty. Ryan and pro partner Amani skated to the song "Believer" by Imagine Dragons, where they performed a Game of Thrones-themed routine and were awarded a perfect 40 score.

Speaking after his win, Ryan said: "I'm speechless. I just can't... I'm so happy for Amani, because she's put so much work into this." He also dedicated his trophy to Greg Rutherford, who was forced to pull out of the final due to an injury, by saying: "This one's for you!".

Dancing on Ice 2024 is over after weeks of intense skating battles, and now one couple has emerged victorious.

Former Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas and his professional partner Amani Fancy are this year's winners, managing to impress judges and improve week-on-week, earning them the coveted title.

Made in Chelsea's Miles Nazaire and Vanessa Bauer placed second, while Adele Roberts and Mark Hanretty came third, and it was no doubt a tough decision to decide who was walking away as the newest Dancing on Ice champion.

This news comes after Olympian Greg Rutherford pulled out of the final due to an injury, meaning only three couples were skating to win, making the competition even closer. 

A spokesperson at the time confirmed Greg's departure, saying: "Greg and Vanessa [James] have been such a popular couple this series and have performed some truly memorable routines.

“We will be helping to support Greg and wish him well with his recovery. We also want to thank him for being such a treasured member of the Dancing on Ice family."

Speaking after his win, Ryan said, "I'm speechless. I just can't... I'm so happy for Amani, because she's put so much work into this." 

He also dedicated his trophy to Greg, by saying: "This one's for you!", which fans branded a "sweet gesture" on social media.

Ryan and pro partner Amani skated to the song "Believer" by Imagine Dragons, where they performed a Game of Thrones-themed routine. They seriously impressed judges and they were awarded a perfect 40.

But they weren't the only perfect score of the evening. Adele and Mark performed a Western-style routine to "Texas Hold 'Em" by Beyoncé, also receiving a top score of 40.

There was drama on the ice too, as Miles and Vanessa to "Turn to Stone" by Ingrid Michaelson, and Miles suffered a heavy fall during the performance. Despite the mishap, everyone was okay, and the pair scored 38.

Meanwhile, third-place winner Adele Roberts said: "I've absolutely loved it, and I couldn't wish for a better experience. She added that inspiring others with a stoma was "[our] trophy".

Ryan's win means he's following in the footsteps of 2023 winner Nile Wilson, concluding the beloved ITV skating competition for another year.

Dancing On Ice fans were moved by Ryan Thomas's tribute to Greg Rutherford after he missed the show's grand finale this evening. 

Ryan Thomas was crowned the winner alongside pro partner Amani Fancy during tonight's final episode of Dancing On Ice (which aired Sunday 10th March 2024). 

Greg - who was a favourite to win the show - pulled out at the last minute due to an injury. Ryan went on to win the competition and in an emotional speech dedicated his trophy to Greg. 

"I'm speechless!" Ryan said after the news was announced. "I just can't, it's Amani, I'm happy for her because she's put so much hard work in with me. Listen, Greg, if you're watching this at home... this trophy is for you, mate!" 

And it was a gesture that wasn't unnoticed by fans, who took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their approval. 

'Well done Ryan, well deserved. You were certainly the best tonight. Nice dedication to Greg too,' wrote one fan on X (formerly Twitter).

While another said, 'Ryan dedicating his win to Greg, sweet sweet man,' alongside crying emojis. 

And another fan wrote, 'Ryan and Amani incredible and class tribute to Greg at the end there.'

Before the show aired, Greg posted a video of himself receiving medical attention on Instagram, explaining: "Hello, I know this looks very dramatic and everything else. 

"Sadly, I picked up a big injury in rehearsals and I'm on my way to the hospital. So I will not be performing on Dancing On Ice tonight. 

"I am devastated but these things happen. So stay tuned, we'll keep you updated, what a nightmare way for this to finish."

The Dancing On Ice the final aired this Sunday at 6:25pm on ITV and ITVX. Dancing on Ice is expected to return next year.

Dancing On Ice has crowned its winner! Ryan Thomas skated his way to the top spot tonight alongside pro partner Amani Fancy during tonight's Dancing On Ice 2024 final. 

In tonight's final episode of the series of Dancing On Ice (which aired Sunday 10th March 2024) Ryan was crowned the winner, much to the delight of fans. 

Ryan beat Made In Chelsea's Miles Nazaire and his partner Vanessa Bauer, with Adele Roberts finishing in third place. Unfortunately, popular contestant Greg Rutherford had to quit hours before due to an injury. 

'So glad Ryan won if it wasn’t Adele,' wrote one fan on X (formerly Twitter).

While another wrote, 'Ryan and Armani did amazing I had a feeling they'd win after since I met Ryan 2 weeks ago so so so proud of them both!!'

While another said, 'Ryan was the best of tonights skaters and in my eyes deserved to win. The energy he had brought won it for me! Look how happy he is.'

But not everyone was convinced, with another fan writing, 'Its a great achievement but cant help but feel like Ryan won #CBB #CBBUK because of the Roxanne incident and now #DancingOnIce because of the anti #VanessaBauer vote, glad she never won, think Vanessa has done more #Bolero than #TorvillAndDean have now.'

And another wrote, 'Thought Miles was a more polished performance, Ryan had more lifts etc. Tough final #DancingOnIce I'm on catch up, not looking to see who won.'

And another wrote, 'I really like Ryan but Miles is a better skater so i would have preferred him to win.'

Dancing on Ice 2024 could feature one less contestant on Sunday night's episode, as reports suggest that Coronation Street star Claire Sweeney has suffered an injury.

Claire was due to perform on the second episode of the hit ITV competition series, where she's paired with model and figure skater, Colin Grafton. But there's a chance she won't be taking part.

Speaking about the unfortunate event, an insider told The Sun: "Claire has been training really hard, but has managed to injure herself.

"She’s really gutted and is following the advice to help her back on her feet. Everyone’s really hoping she will be OK because she’s put so much effort into it."

Meanwhile, a source close to the show added: “Claire is in great hands. ITV has medical support on-site and health and safety across the board. The stars know the risks when joining the show, but they are fully looked after throughout. Everyone wishes Claire a speedy recovery."

Last week, we saw retired boxer Ricky Hatton, former S Club 7 singer Hannah Spearritt, Love Island star Amber Davies, athlete Greg Rutherford, actor Ryan Thomas and Emmerdale star Roxy Shahidi take to the rink.

In week 2, a fresh set of celebrities get their skates on, and Claire was set to be among them. According to the synopsis for the second episode: "Six more celebrities and their professional skating partners perform in the hope of avoiding the first skate off of the series. 

"The formidable Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean head up our ice panel alongside dance supremos, Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse."

But Claire may not be competing, so we could see some shake-ups in the coming weeks when the celebrities will start to face the dreaded skate-offs, which could leave them eliminated from the competition.

Speaking on This Morning, Claire spoke more about her training and how extensive it was, including some unexpected mishaps and further injuries.

She said: "What’s interesting about the ice is that you have falls when you least expect it. It’s not only a physical thing, it’s a mental thing.

"So when I fall - I put my shoulder out the other week and I did my wrist in - it’s getting the confidence [back]. The ice is unforgiving."

Last weekend we saw the first six celebrities taking to the ice, West End star Amber Davies, Olympic gold medallist Greg Rutherford, S Club star Hannah Spearritt, boxing champ Ricky Hatton, Emmerdale actress Roxy Shahidi and ex-Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas, who has revealed he’s been getting tips from a certain Dancing on Ice legend…

What’s your main motivation for doing Dancing on Ice?

"It's a strange one... I got a phone call out of the blue one day from my eldest daughter, Scarlett [Currently playing Izzy Charles in Waterloo Road], who rang me up and said: ‘Dad, would you please do Dancing on Ice? I think you’d be really good.’ I said I’d think about it, then a week later, I got a call from producers asking if I’d do Dancing on Ice! So, after that chat with my daughter, I instantly said yes. Instinctively, I thought this is the reason I’m doing it: for Scarlett."

You're best friends with your former Coronation Street co-star Chris Fountain, who came runner up on series three of Dancing on Ice in 2008. What does he think of you taking part?

"Ah, Chris Fountain, the main man! He's pretty special on the ice and I'm privileged enough to to call him a friend. I'm his biggest fan and now he’s gonna be my biggest fan. He had a little skate around with my pro-partner Amani [Fancy, two-time British national champion] and he put me to shame - they were like magic on the ice. It was amazing to watch. I doubt I could pull off something like his Cry Me a River routine but if I'm even half the man he is on the ice, it'd be nice to do him proud."

What tips has he given you?

"Well, Chris was around my house on Christmas Eve just gone and my partner Lucy walked into the living room and saw me and Chris standing really close to each other, holding hands and doing all the footwork and skating moves. And she’s like: ‘What’s going on here? Is there something you’re not telling me?’ He was just being Amani for that evening. Anyone who’s done the show before knows there’s so much to take in that your brain is frazzled by the end of each day, so Chris has told me to enjoy the whole process because it’s over before you know it."

What has training for Dancing on Ice taught you about yourself so far?

"Well, I actually thought I could ice skate until I started to figure skate, so it’s taught me that I couldn’t before and now I can! You learn so much in such a short space of time, so the most valuable lesson I've got from this is don't get too confident with something you think you're good at - once you get on the ice with those pros, they really teach you a lesson!"

How competitive are you?

"I don't think I’m competitive but other people say I'm competitive, so I don't know what I am any more! I just think it's all about trying your best. I can sometimes have some self doubt in my capabilities and give myself a hard time. So, for me, it's just about having a little bit of self belief and remembering that there were things I couldn’t do at the start that now I can."

Judges Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabuse and, of course, ice dancing legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will be critiquing the performances. How do you handle criticism?

"I love constructive criticism, I thrive on it. It makes me work harder. You know, there was always that teacher at school who’d tell me off; it makes me work harder and that's my favourite bit because I know it's coming from a good place. I don't want anyone to say I'm amazing because I won’t improve anymore. I want them to say: ‘That was terrible. Try harder next time!’ That’s when you’ll get the best out of me."

The next episode of Dancing on Ice airs on Sunday, January 21 at 6.30pm on ITV1.

Dancing on Ice 2024 is here and it's already gotten off to a dramatic start when one of the celebrities "punched" new host Stephen Mulhern.

As we met the new skaters in this year's competition, World Champion Boxer Ricky Hatton MBE was among them, having been the first to be announced last year. He is partnered up with professional skater Robin Johnstone.

In a statement before the show began, Ricky admitted his kids had said: "Don't go embarrassing us, Dad" which he joked "filled him with confidence". He was certainly the star of the show on Sunday night's episode, after an unexpected encounter with Stephen Mulhern.

Stephen, who has joined Holly Willoughby to host the ITV series, asked Ricky to hold a microphone for him in the style of a boxing announcer and, after he had finished his bit to the camera, Hatton put the microphone down.

Mulhern forcibly took back the microphone three times, making an unimpressed face to the camera. Then, Ricky landed a blow to his arm which knocked him back, leaving Holly looking "shocked" at what had happened.

Of course, no one was hurt and it was a setup, but it seemed like Ricky had hit Stephen fairly hard, which had everyone on Twitter talking about the hilarious moment. That was quite the way to kick off the 2024 series!

Fittingly, Ricky Hatton's debut performance was boxing theme, and the official social media account teased it was a "knockout", so hopefully they can keep that momentum going.

There's a great lineup on Dancing on Ice this year, with Ricky joined by Eddie “The Eagle”, S Club 7's Hannah Spearritt, Coronation Street star Claire Sweeney, Love Island 2017 winner Amber Davies, former Olympian Greg Rutherford, Neighbours star Ryan Thomas, EastEnders star Ricky Norwood, reality TV star Miles Nazaire, comedian Lou Sanders, Emmerdale's Roxy Shahidi, and radio host Adele Roberts.

Once again, there can only be one winner and these celebrities will be battling it out in the hopes of joining the Dancing on Ice winners list.

This year, the judging panel stays the same with Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse, Olympic skating champions Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, and Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo all returning to give their critiques.

Dancing on Ice 2024 continues Sundays at 6:30 pm on ITV1 and ITVX. 

Dancing on Ice 2024 could see Holly Willoughby replaced by another This Morning star! 

According to The Sun, the TV favourite is yet to commit to working on the new series, but I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2023 star Josie Gibson could well be the frontrunner to replace her if she decides not to take part. 

Their source said: "Josie's stint in the jungle shows she has the perfect blend of humility, confidence, humour and unflappability. And she's already proved she's able to handle live TV during her time as a co-host on This Morning where she's also developed quite a following among viewers.

"ITV will be hoping she'll bring that popularity across to Dancing on Ice if she ends up bagging the job in Holly's absence", they added.

ITV has not confirmed whether this presenter switch will take place but has stated that further announcements about Dancing on Ice series 16 "in due course".

This comes just a few weeks after Willoughby took a step back from TV. Back in October, the star revealed she had quit This Morning after 14 years, saying that she needed to make the decision "for me and my family" at the time. 

Josie Gibson first found fame as the winner of Big Brother back in 2010. She scooped victory with a huge proportion of the public vote (77.5% overall!) and has been on screens and in magazines ever since. She ended up placing fourth in the jungle, behind Nigel Farage, Tony Bellew, and our newest addition to the I'm A Celebrity winners list, Sam Thompson.

If Willoughby doesn't return to the series, we're on for an entirely new Dancing on Ice presenting partnership. Former presenter Phillip Schofield also won't be returning to the series. 

It has been rumored that Stephen Mulhern — who had stepped in as a temporary replacement in the past when Schofield had COVID — will be taking on the role, though no official statement has been made on that front, either.

We at least know the Dancing on Ice 2024 lineup. Among the new stars are: ski-jumper Eddie "the Eagle" Edwards, actress and singer Hannah Spearritt, ex-Olympian, Greg Rutherford, comedian Lou Sanders, and Coronation Street star, Ryan Thomas.

Dancing on Ice is due to return in 2024, though we haven't had a release date for the latest series at the time of writing. 

Dancing on Ice has yet to confirm who is on presenting duties for the upcoming 2024 series, meaning Holly Willoughby's future with the beloved competition is unknown.

Holly has been a part of the Dancing on Ice cast since 2006, where she presented alongside Phillip Schofield, who was also her long-running This Morning co-presenter.

But, as it stands, it seems Holly has not confirmed whether or not she will be back on hosting duties for Dancing on Ice 2024, with new reports suggesting ITV producers are in "limbo" about the situation.

An insider told The Sun: “In many ways, the producers of Dancing on Ice are in limbo until they can resolve the issue of who’ll be steering the ship when the show returns.

“Although it usually doesn’t start until mid-January, bosses still now find themselves working on a timescale measured in weeks, not months."

So far, we know which celebrities will be taking to the rink next season, so it seems the show is set to go ahead as planned but the source added that it was a challenging situation as no one is confirmed to present.

They said: “It’s a very precarious position to be in when they have all the crew and a group of celebrities already working towards the first show, but nobody nailed on to present it.”

Recently, Holly Willoughby stepped down from her long-running presenting role on This Morning, where she released an emotional statement telling fans she was focusing on her family.

Holly had presented the ITV magazine show for 14 years before departing earlier this year, and her statement said: “I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning.

“To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much. This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we’ve done together. Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you.

“Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You’ve been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day."

Dancing on Ice returns in 2024.

Dancing on Ice 2024 has added to its star-studded line-up with a Gogglebox star confirmed to be joining the ranks.

Stephen Lustig-Webb revealed his involvement in the next installment of the reality competition, which will air early next year, seeing a brand new group of celebrities skating to impress the judging panel.

He is best known for appearing on Channel 4's Gogglebox, where he spent ten years as an armchair critic alongside his husband Daniel. The duo stepped down from the series last month and said they were looking to "explore other opportunities".

Stephen joined TV presenter Lorraine Kelly on ITV's Lorraine to announce the big news and admitted he found the process quite challenging at first, especially since he'd been out of practice.

He revealed: "The last time I was on the ice I think I was 14 [years old], so [it was] almost 40 years ago. I have been back on the ice since just for a quick spin around. I didn't fall over, so that was a good thing!

"I’ve got a new appreciation for skating. I can see how truly difficult it is. From the comfort of my sofa, I was probably a little too judgy. I didn’t realize how hard it is!"

Stephen Lustig-Webb is the seventh celebrity to be announced, joining World Champion Boxer Ricky Hatton MBE, actress Claire Sweeney, actress and singer Hannah Spearritt, West End star Amber Davies and Olympic Champion and presenter Greg Rutherford MBE and TV personality Miles Nazaire.  

In total, twelve celebrities will embark on the ultimate challenge as they take to the ice each week, skating live in a bid to impress both the panel and viewers at home. But so far we've only had seven confirmed names.

So we're eagerly waiting to find out who the five remaining skaters are, as well as who they'll be paired up with to show them the ropes and hopefully help them lift the coveted Dancing on Ice trophy.

Dancing on Ice returns on ITV1 and ITVX next year.

Dancing on Ice 2024 returned as 12 new celebrities took to the ice to perform live dazzling routines to impress the judges and audience.

As Dancing on Ice came back to bring more sparkle to our Sunday evenings, we saw famous faces lace up their skates to take on the ultimate challenge and pull off show-stopping performances.

After weeks of watching the contestants brave the ice, we have now got a new champion to add to our Dancing on Ice winners list.

We also saw a new change to the hosts as Stephen Mulhern presented alongside Holly Willoughby after replacing Phillip Schofield.

Dancing on Ice 2024 has now finished and all episodes are available to watch on ITVX if you want to re-watch your favourite routines from the series.

Who won Dancing on Ice 2024?

Ryan Thomas and his professional partner Amani Fancy were crowned the Dancing on Ice 2024 champions on Sunday, March 10 after impressing the judges week-on-week.

Ryan and Amani reached the final where they battled it out to win the coveted title against Miles Nazaire and Vanessa Bauer and Adele Roberts and Mark Hanretty. Ryan and pro partner Amani skated to the song "Believer" by Imagine Dragons, where they performed a Game of Thrones-themed routine and were awarded a perfect 40 score.

Speaking after his win, Ryan said: "I'm speechless. I just can't... I'm so happy for Amani, because she's put so much work into this." 

He also dedicated his trophy to Greg Rutherford, who was forced to pull out of the final due to an injury, by saying: "This one's for you!", which fans branded a "sweet gesture" on social media.

Unfortunately, Gogglebox star Stephen Lustig-Webb broke his left ankle during training and had to medically withdraw from the competition.

A spokesperson for Dancing On Ice said: "Stephen Lustig-Webb has had to withdraw from the show due an injury he sustained to his ankle during training. He is still very much a part of the Dancing On Ice family, we will be helping to support Stephen and we wish him well with his recovery. "

Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards — seventh to be eliminated

Ski jumper legend Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards joined the Dancing on Ice cast after Gogglebox star Stephen Lustig-Webb had to withdraw from the show due to an injury he sustained during training.  

Swapping skis for skates, Eddie took to the ice alongside his fellow celebrities as he said: “I had a phone call saying that somebody had broken their ankle on Dancing on Ice and would I like to take part in the show. I was thinking, 'Oh, shall I? Shall I?' I thought it was way too late because people had already started training. I decided, 'yeah, why not? Give it a go. It's worth a challenge.' I like the fact that I'm way behind everybody and I've got to catch up. I like that kind of thing. I decided to jump in and try and help out, as it were.”   

Eddie skated with professional skater Vicky Ogden, after his original partner Tippy Packard sustained an injury to her knee.

Eddie was the seventh contestant to be eliminated after he lost to Amber Davies in the skate-off. His skating partner Vicky praised him as being "amazing to skate with."

"He’s just legendary. I watch him, even on his own going out doing his edges, he’s incredible to work around," she said.

Ricky Hatton — first to be eliminated

World Champion Boxer Ricky Hatton MBE was the first contestant to take part in the new series of Dancing on Ice and skated with Robin Johnstone.

Talking about what his family and friends thought of him doing the show, he revealed: "They all thought it was crackers because I can't dance on a solid floor, so I don't know how I'm going to do it on ice! But it was great. The reaction of my kids, Millie and Fearne, they watched the show and they went, 'Oh my God, dad. Oh honestly, are you dad? Can't wait for this. Don't go embarrassing us, dad.' That fills you with confidence, doesn't it?"

Ricky was the first celebrity skater to be knocked out of the competition after landing in the skate-off against Lou Sanders.

Ricky told the judges after his exit: "I'm gutted to be going home, yeah, because I've tried to be a winner in all my life in everything I've done. It's been a while since I saw the second round! I think I will carry on skating. I may be out in the first round, but I've had a great time, met some wonderful friends."

"Even though I'm going home in the first round, The Hitman will be going home happy!" he added.

Claire Sweeney — third to be eliminated

Actress Claire Sweeney was the second celebrity confirmed to be taking part in the new series of Dancing on Ice and skated with Colin Grafton.

Claire commented: "I love watching the show. I'm a fan of the show. I've had quite a few friends who've done it who've absolutely loved the experience, and I wanted to get a skater's bum for Christmas! I look at what The Vivienne lost, like nearly four stone. How wonderful to learn a new skill, get a really fit body, and you know what? As you get older, you get a bit more fearful and you get a bit more cautious. To really conquer something that is terrifying is wonderful."

Claire was the third contestant eliminated from the competition after losing the skate-off against Lou Sanders. 

After her elimination, Claire, who was forced to make a last-minute routine change following a rib injury, said of her time on the show: "I've absolutely loved it, and I just want to say a huge thank you to Karen, Dan, to Sharon the physio and her team, Marcus in make-up and this man [Colin] of course, to everyone.

"I'm really relieved [my son] Jaxon's in the audience and not in the kitchen watching me get eliminated, so I'm really pleased he's here. Thank you."

Hannah Spearritt — second to be eliminated

Actress and singer Hannah Spearritt was the third celebrity confirmed to be taking part and she skated with Andy Buchanan. 

She said about her biggest fear about doing the show: "One of my biggest fears initially was hurting my partner. Just losing focus and catching him with my blade. It really worries me - having a terrible, terrible accident. Now I've started I'm not fearing that much at the minute. I’ve fallen so many times. I haven't hurt myself that bad, really. Maybe when I do fall and I really hurt myself, maybe that will become a fear. I am quite tentative so maybe there's a bit of fear." 

S Club 7 star Hannah left the competition after she received the lowest amount of votes as there was no skate-off this week.

Speaking after her elimination she revealed: “I have [enjoyed it]. Everyone has been fantastic and to be partnered with Andy, it’s been an absolute joy. Thank you for the journey.”

Amber Davies — eighth to be eliminated

West End star Amber Davies was the fourth celebrity confirmed to be taking part in the new series and she skated with Simon Senecal.

Amber was excited to embrace the sequins, Lycra and fake tan on the show: "I said the bigger, the better. The more sequins, the better. If there's feathers, stick them on! I want crazy hair, crazy makeup, things that I wouldn't do in my normal day-to-day life. I want to squeeze as much out of this experience as I possibly can because you don't know how long you're going to be in for. I want to get more dramatic and more wild as the weeks go along."

Amber was eliminated in the semi-final after scoring a full 40 points for her routine. Despite this, she found herself in the skate-off against Adele Roberts and Mark Hanretty.

The judges chose to save Adele and Mark, meaning Amber missed out on a place in the final.

She said after the decision: “Honestly, I just feel like younger me would not believe that I’ve had this experience. And thank you so much for having me on,” she continued, before turning to Simon. “You have been life-changing for me in so many ways.”

She praised the whole team behind Dancing on Ice, branding everyone from her co-stars to the paramedics as “amazing."

Greg Rutherford MBE — pulled out of the final due to injury

Olympic champion and presenter Greg Rutherford was the fifth celebrity confirmed for Dancing on Ice 2024 and he skated with Vanessa James.

Asked on what made him say yes to the challenge, he replied: "Madness, stupidity! No, for me, I love the challenge and I thought, 'It's about time I do another challenge. It's been so long now.' I loved ice skating as a kid, it was actually 25 to 30 years ago that I was skating. It was quite a long time ago. I used to love watching ice hockey. I used to be a big fan. We had a local team that we'd go and watch every week, so, I thought, 'Why not? It'd be a brilliant challenge. It gives me a good reason to train.' I'm really looking forward to it actually."

Greg pulled out of the final due to an injury, meaning only three couples were skating to win. 

A spokesperson at the time confirmed Greg's departure, saying: "Greg and Vanessa [James] have been such a popular couple this series and have performed some truly memorable routines.

“We will be helping to support Greg and wish him well with his recovery. We also want to thank him for being such a treasured member of the Dancing on Ice family."

Miles Nazaire — runner-up

TV Personality and Made in Chelsea star Miles Nazaire was the sixth celebrity confirmed to be taking part in the new series of Dancing on Ice. He skated with Vanessa Bauer.

Talking about his first day on the ice: "Awful! I was sliding all over the place. My boots were not done up properly. I remember Torvill and Dean were like, 'Yeah, your boots are way too loose.' So I went, 'I don't know how to do them, right?' Thinking about where I am now is actually quite crazy. I have to admit, I'm really proud of myself. I've really put in the work over the last few weeks and it's definitely shown up and I'm excited."

Miles and Vanessa placed second in the competition after putting on some impressive performances throughout the series. The pair skated to "Turn to Stone" by Ingrid Michaelson, and Miles suffered a heavy fall during their opening performance for the final. 

After performing the Bolero in front of Torvil and Dean, Miles and Vanessa battled it out with Ryan and Amani for the tropy and came runners-up.

Lou Sanders — fifth to be eliminated

The eighth celebrity who took part in the new series was comedian and writer Lou Sanders. She was skating with Brendyn Hatfield.

She revealed on what made her sign up for the show: "I love adrenaline, I love learning new skills, I’ve always wanted to be a backing dancer and I think this is as close as I’ll get. I can’t actually dance and I think you don’t start as a backing dancer with no skills in your forties. Don’t quote me on that - it’s just a hunch."

There was a twist during Musicals week — the lowest placing pair would skate straight off the ice, with the second and third lowest taking part in the skate off.

The episode also included the Judges' Challenge, where each celebrity had to perform either a solo spin for a minimum of two revolutions or a freestyle jump with both skates leaving the ice. Two time Olympic figure skater champion Johnny Weir was also a guest judge.

Lou and Brendyn and Ricky Norwood and Annette Dytrt were the lowest scoring pairs and found themselves in the skate-off. All of the judges chose to save Ricky, meaning that Lou was eliminated.

After her elimination, Lou said: "It's all about never giving up, so we will be back next week. I've had the time of my life – [Brendyn's] been amazing. He said his insurance has gone up working with me!"

Ricky Norwood — sixth to be eliminated

EastEnders legend Ricky Norwood, who played Arthur 'Fatboy' Chubb for five years, was the ninth celebrity to take part in this year's competition and he skated with Annette Dytrt.

He had high hopes that the EastEnders fans would pick up the phone and vote for him.

"The EastEnders fans have always been behind me ever since I've left. They're such a great bunch and they're such a special group of fans. They've supported me ever since I've left in whatever I have done. They're probably going to support me again and I hope they do. They're a fantastic bunch and I've got so much love for EastEnders and all the EastEnders fans, so fingers crossed they pick up the phone."

Ricky was the fifth celebrity to be sent home after landing in the skate-off against Amber Davies. The judges chose to save Amber, so Ricky was eliminated from the competition.

Upon his exit Ricky said: "From not being able to walk on the ice to getting to this point, I never thought I'd make it this far! I'm just so pleased and I appreciate all of you guys."

He added about his professional partner: "She's amazing, she pushed me, she believed in me, every single week, every single day, I don't know where I would have been without you sweetheart."

Adele Roberts — third

Broadcaster and DJ Adele Roberts was the tenth celebrity to compete on Dancing on Ice and she skated with Mark Hanretty.

Adele admitted that she was "starstruck" to be working with partner Mark Hanretty. 

"I was a bit starstruck when I met him because I've watched the show for years and I felt a bit bad for him because his partners have been stellar. He's had Kimberly Wyatt or last year, Carley Stenson. I told him I'll give it everything that I've got. He's just such a lovely, gracious guy and he wants us to do well. Obviously he knows I'm never going to be figure skater level like him, so they know to just work with what they've got. It's been lovely getting to meet him and work with him."

In the final, Adele and Mark performed a Western-style routine to "Texas Hold 'Em" by Beyoncé and came in third place after receiving a top score of 40.

Adele said: "I've absolutely loved it, and I couldn't wish for a better experience." She added that inspiring others with a stoma was "[our] trophy."

Ryan Thomas — winner

Actor Ryan Thomas was the eleventh celebrity confirmed for Dancing on Ice and skated with Amani Fancy.

He is best known for playing Jason Grimshaw in Coronation Street for 16 years, before going on to star as Rafael Humphreys in Neighbours in 2018.

On what made him take on the challenge, he said: "It was like it was fate. The week before I got the phone call my 15-year-old daughter had just out of the blue said to me 'Dad will you do Dancing on Ice?' It was so random when she said it to me and I had just said 'Maybe one day Scarlett.' A week later I got a phone call from my agent saying would I like to do it! It wasn’t even a discussion, I immediately said 'I want to do it.' Of all of the shows it’s the one I’ve always wanted to do. I love skating, there’s something about it that I really enjoy. I’m so happy that I got the phone call and I’m onboard for this series."

Ryan and Amani skated to victory and were crowned the winners of Dancing on Ice 2024. In an extra special final to mark the 40th anniversary of Torvill and Dean's gold medal win at the Winter Olympics in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ryan and his fellow finalist Miles performed a routine inspired by the duo's performance to Ravel's Bolero in Sarajevo at the 1984 Games.

Ryan said he was “speechless” as he was crowned this year’s Dancing on Ice winner and Amani broke down in tears of joy as they were given the trophy.

Roxy Shahidi — fourth to be eliminated

Emmerdale star Roxy Shahidi was the twelfth celebrity taking to the ice and skated with Sylvain Longchambon.

Roxy revealed if any of the Emmerdale winners had given her advice: "Matthew [Wolfenden] just said to me, 'Look, it's really, really, really hard work. Be aware it will take over your life. It's every single day.' Some days you work on top of it and then suddenly you realise how full on it is physically and schedule-wise. He really warned me about that but he also said, 'You're going to absolutely love it.' And so far he's right. It's really intense but also I am enjoying it as challenging and as scary as it is."

Roxy and her partner Sylvain skated straight off the ice after they scored the lowest overall mark in Musicals week. 

Following her elimination, she told Holly: "It's brutal, I was looking forward to doing my save dance! I'm really proud of what I've done, what I've learnt. [Sylvain]'s been amazing, and the whole experience has been incredible."

Dancing on Ice 2024 professionals

Dancing on Ice confirmed the 2024 line-up of professional skaters all taking to the ice with their celebrity partners.

Vanessa Bauer, Colin Grafton, Mark Hanretty, Brendyn Hatfield and Sylvain Longchambon all returned to the ice for this year's series.

Tippy Packard was originally partnered with Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards but sustained an injury to her knee, so was unable to skate in the competition. However, she did return for the group numbers.

An ITV spokesperson told us at the time: "Tippy sustained an injury to her knee and is no longer skating with Eddie. We are hopeful that Tippy will be back on the show performing in our group numbers."

After a break from one series and having both first featured on the show in 2013, Andy Buchanan and Robin Johnstone made their comeback to the show. 

Karen Barber and Daniel Whiston also returned to the show as Head Coach and Creative Director. 

Matt Evers announced that he would be leaving the show, who has been part of the pro line-up since the first series in 2006. 

Series regulars Alexandra Schauman and Łukasz Różycki took a break from the new series. 

Dancing on Ice also welcomed four brand new skaters to the ice:

• Amani Fancy — Two time British national champion, has previously appeared on the German version of Dancing on Ice.
• Vanessa James — Six time French national champion who represented Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympic games.
• Annette Dytrt — Former German and Czech national champion, also appeared on the German version of Dancing on Ice.
• Simon Senecal — Former Armenian national champion and Winter Olympian.

Dancing on Ice 2024 hosts

Holly Willoughby, who has presented the series since 2006, came back to host the brand-new series.

Joining Holly was Stephen Mulhern, who replaced Philip Schofield.

Speaking about the news, Katie Rawcliffe, head of entertainment commissioning at ITV, said: "Holly and Stephen are two of our best-loved presenters, so reuniting them 20 years after they first appeared on screen together to host Dancing on Ice marks the start of an exciting year for the show."

The judging panel stayed the same for the new series, with former Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse, Olympic skating champions Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, and Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo all returning.

Gogglebox star Stephen Webb has reportedly signed up for the upcoming season of Dancing On Ice.

Brighton hair salon owner Stephen recently announced he and his husband Daniel Lustig had quit Gogglebox after 10 years.

The much-loved couple decided not to return for Gogglebox season 22 in an emotional Instagram post.

Stephen wrote: "After careful consideration, Daniel and I have decided we will not be returning for the new series of Gogglebox. We feel the time is right to move on and explore other opportunities.

"We would both like to thank Channel 4 and Studio Lambert for letting us be part of this amazing, funny and heartwarming show. We are also extremely thankful to the cast and crew, or Gogglebox family as we call them and of course, the fans, thank you for all of your love & support over the years."

They also shared a clip together where they thanked their fans from over the years. "We thought we would put out this little video, especially for the fans of the show", Stephen said. "Just to say thank you for all your love and support over the years, it has really meant a lot.

"If you do get withdrawal symptoms, we are always available on Netflix", he joked. 

Now, it has been reported that the former armchair critic has joined Dancing on Ice according to The Sun.

A TV insider reportedly told the publication: “Many Gogglebox stars face a dilemma at some point. Many of them develop profiles in their own right and inevitably receive offers to appear on other shows.

“If they do go on other things they are making official their transition to celebrity, and Gogglebox reviewers are meant to be regular members of the public.

“Stephen had very much developed his own profile. It wasn’t a surprise he received other offers, though no one would have necessarily guessed he’d be doing Dancing On Ice.”

Stephen was one of the original stars who joined Gogglebox when it first aired in 2013.

He was joined by his former co-star Christopher Steed, before Stephen's mum Pat Webb took his place from series 10 to 12.

Stephen's new partner Daniel then took his place on the sofa alongside Stephen in 2019.

Gogglebox 2023 airs every Friday at 9pm on Channel 4.

EastEnders legend Shona McGarty is reportedly in talks to join Dancing On Ice following the news that she will be leaving the soap after 15 years.

Shona has played Walford favourite Whitney Dean since she was 16 years old, but recently announced that she will be leaving EastEnders as she wants to "spread her wings". 

Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, Shona said, “I have decided to spread my wings and will be leaving EastEnders. I have loved my years in the show.

“I have been trusted with some incredible storylines and have made amazing friendships — and family — which will endure.”

Now, Shona could be donning her skates as she is said to be on ITV's wish-list for Dancing On Ice next year.

A source allegedly told The Sun: “Shona is a great name for Dancing On Ice and she is on ITV’s wish-list.

“She is a huge talent and a very well-known name – and to walk off EastEnders and straight onto their rival channel’s biggest show would be a huge coup. Shona is in the running for a stint on the ice when the show begins in January but it’s all early dates.

“A number of stars who are being courted for the next series are already practising on their local rinks to make sure they have the basics down. Snaring Shona would be massive for ITV and they would love her to come on board.”

If Shona were to take part, she would be following in the footsteps of her former co-star Patsy Palmer, who played Whitney's adoptive mum Bianca Jackson when she was first introduced to the Square in 2008.

Shona has taken on many hard-hitting storylines throughout her years in Walford, which recently saw Whitney lose her baby Peach after she was diagnosed with Edwards' Syndrome.

Not only that, but Whitney has endured many other hardships including being sexually abused, suffering a miscarriage, being jilted, stalked, going on trial for murder, losing her boyfriend Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) and exposing serial killer Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) for murdering his wife.

So, can you name all the Dancing on Ice winners? The ITV hit has been keeping us entertained since it reached our screens for the first time back in 2006 with skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean as head judges. 

Over the years the judging panel has seen many famous faces come and go. As well as Torvill and Dean, we have seen Jason Gardiner, Emma Bunton, Louie Spence, Karen Barber, Robin Cousins, Ashley Roberts, John Barrowman, Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse all take their place on the ice panel. 

Now after weeks of watching the contestants brave the ice for Dancing on Ice 2025, we have another Dancing on Ice champion to add to the list.

Here are all the Dancing on Ice winners from 2006 - 2025...

2025 — Sam Aston

Coronation Street star Sam Aston faced former footballer Anton Ferdinand and Springwatch star Michaela Strachan in the 2025 final, with all three showing off their skating skills in dazzling performances. In the end, Anton was the first to be voted from the final, leaving Sam and Michaela to perform their Bolero-inspired skates. Eventually, it was Sam and his partner Molly Lanaghan who were crowned champions.

Speaking of his win, Sam said: "I've literally got no words! It's just been such a journey, and a mad one. And was always Molly's dream to be on this show since watching it as a young girl".

2024 — Ryan Thomas

Actor and former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas was crowned the Dancing on Ice 2024 champion alongside his professional partner Amani Fancy. 

Ryan and Amani reached the final where they battled it out to win the coveted title against Miles Nazaire and Vanessa Bauer and Adele Roberts and Mark Hanretty. 

Speaking after his win, Ryan said: "I'm speechless. I just can't... I'm so happy for Amani, because she's put so much work into this." 

He also dedicated his trophy to Greg Rutherford, who was forced to pull out of the final due to an injury, by saying: "This one's for you!", which fans branded a "sweet gesture" on social media.

2023 — Nile Wilson

Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson and his skating partner Olivia Smart won the 2023 instalment of the series, beating drag queen The Vivienne and reality television star Joey Essex in the final.

On social media, he wrote: "WOW 🤯 Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts 🤍🙏🏼 What a journey it has been! I worked so hard to become the best skater I possibly could & I hoped it put a smile on people’s faces 🥰⛸️ 

"Olivia you’re an incredible human being! DOI 2023 Winners baby let’s Go! See ya on the beach 🥂🏖️🫡"

2022 — Regan Gascoigne 

Professional dancer, singer and actor Regan Gascoigne won the 2022 series alongside his skating partner Karina Manta. The duo beat Kimberley Wyatt and former Strictly Come Dancing professional Brendan Cole.

In a social media post at the time, he said: "I’m still out celebrating with @karinamanta so sorry if this is short but i will add way more to this 😂 I mean you only WIN DANCING ON ICE once in your life 😜 Thank you to Everyone who voted for us! 

"You have no idea how much it means to me! Winning your favourite show
After watching it since series 1 when I was a kid dreaming of Skating! I wish we could carry on skating together! Thank you Again Love me & @karinamanta"

2021 — Sonny Jay

Capital Radio DJ Sonny Jay and his skating partner Angela Egan won Dancing On Ice 2021 against some tough competition, including beating former Coronation Street actress Faye Brookes and Olympic athlete Colin Jackson in the final.

It was a close call and everyone skated remarkably, however, Sonny and Angela were the ones to lift the Dancing On Ice trophy. Ever since his win, Sonny still presents the Capital Breakfast Show, alongside Roman Kemp and Sian Welby.

2020 — Joe Swash 

The 2020 winners were former EastEnders star Joe Swash and his skating partner Alex Murphy. The pair beat Diversity's Perri Kiely and Paralympian Libby Clegg to be crowned champions. Joe was something of a surprise winner after getting off to a  shaky start to the competition. 

But, his skating improved week after week, with Christoper Dean telling him he went from a "flat-out faller to a finalist". Dancing on Ice isn't the first reality TV show that Joe has won... he was also crowned king of the jungle in the 2008 series of I'm A Celebrity. 

2019 — James Jordan 

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional James won the 2019 crown with his skating partner Alexandra Schauman. They beat Love Island's Wes Nelson who came second and Saara Aalto who was third.

James managed to win the trophy despite the fact her was nursing a shoulder injury at the time, and claimed that he had to work harder than ever to make sure he beat Wes, who put up a huge fight for the coveted title of 2019 champion. 

2018 — Jake Quickenden 

Jake, known for his appearances on The X Factor and I'm A Celebrity, and his partner Vanessa Bauer were the first couple to win after the show took a four year break from our screens.

They beat Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent and rugby star Max Evans in the action-packed final after performing amazing routines week after week. 

2014 — Ray Quinn 

Ray became the first ever person to win two series on Dancing on Ice after taking part in Dancing on Ice All Stars. After being partnered with Maria Fillipov once again, Ray cemented his title as the ultimate Dancing on Ice champion by beating many of the other former winners. 

As well as seeing many of the former champions take to the ice once again the additional Dancing on Ice show also welcomed back memorable favourites including Todd Carty, Gareth Gates and Bonnie Langford. 

2013 — Beth Tweddle 

Olympic gymnast Beth won the crown in 2013, a year that went down in Dancing on Ice history as one of the most memorable. Not only did celebrities like Anthea Turner, Keith Chegwin and Pamela Anderson take part in the series, but Beth also beat boxer Luke Campbell and actor Matt Lapinskas in the final. 

2013 is also the year that Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon met her professional skater husband, Sylvain. 

2012 — Matthew Wolfenden 

Emmerdale favourite Matthew found himself up against some stiff competition in the 2012 final as he took on Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter and The X Factor's Chico. But in the end Matthew managed to impress the ice panel and the viewers at home with his amazing skating skills. 

2011 — Sam Attwater 

Sam, who played Leon Small in EastEnders won the sixth series of Dancing on Ice in March 2011 with skating partner Brianne Delcourt. He also came fourth in the Dancing on Ice All Stars spin off series, where he was partnered with his professional skater fiancee, Vicky Ogden, who he met on the Dancing on Ice tour.

 The pair went on to get married in 2014, becoming the first Dancing on Ice couple to tie the knot. In 2016 they welcomed their first daughter, Rosie, into the world, and in 2019 Vicky gave birth to their second daughter, Daisy.  

2010 — Hayley Tamaddon 

Former Emmerdale and Coronation Street favoutie Hayley skated her way to victory with professional skater Daniel Whiston in 2010, and the pair clearly made a compatible couple, because they also came second in Dancing on Ice All Stars a few years later. 

The final in 2010 was a soap star-packed show with Hayley fighting Hollyoaks and EastEnders star Gary Lucy and Hollyoaks favourite Kieron Richardson for the trophy. 

2009 — Ray Quinn

The first time Ray won Dancing on Ice was back in 2009. His appearance on the skating show came not long after he had come third in the 2006 series of The X Factor. The final saw Ray beat Donal MacIntyre and Liberty X star Jessica Taylor to the trophy. 

Ray has since performed in stage shows like Grease, Dirty Dancing, Aladdin and Legally Blonde. He also landed a role in Hollyoaks as right-wing extremist Jonny Baxter. 

2008 — Suzanne Shaw 

In 2008 Suzanne proved that she couldn't just sing, but she could also skate beautifully, too. The Hear'Say star and her partner Matt Evers beat Hollyoaks star Chris Fountain and Coronation Street and EastEnders actress Zaraah Abrahams to the skating crown. 

Since her Dancing on Ice win Suzanne went on to perform in big west End productions like Chicago, The Vagina Monologues and White Christmas. She also landed a role in Emmerdale as Edna Birch's granddaughter, Eve, in 2010. 

2007 — Kyran Bracken 

Kyran was the second celebrity to win the Dancing on Ice crown, proving that even a professional rugby player could be graceful and elegant on the ice. Kyran was paired with Melanie Lambert and they beat a trio of pop stars to win the trophy, including Boyzone's Stephen Gatley, Blue's Duncan James and Steps' Lisa Scott Lee. 

After Kyran won the show, he went on the tour with Holiday on Ice in their show Romanza and finished fifth in the Dancing on Ice All Stars in 2014.  

2006 — Gaynor Faye 

Former Emmerdale star Gaynor was crowned the first ever winner of Dancing on Ice after beating Stefan Booth and Bonnie Langford in the final. The actress was paired with Daniel Whiston. 

Dancing on Ice 2023 returned to bring more glitz and glamour to our Sunday evenings, where we saw a brand new celebrity winner crowned skating champion.

The new Dancing on Ice winners followed in the footsteps of 2022 champions Regan Gascoigne and his professional partner Karina Manta, after a tough competition which saw them taking on a variety of challenges each week.

Meet this year's group of celebrity skaters below...

Patsy Palmer

EastEnders legend Patsy Palmer was the first confirmed celebrity for next year's Dancing on Ice competition, with the news being officially announced on daytime show This Morning.

Confirming that she was taking part, Patsy said: "I wanted to challenge myself and get out of my comfort zone. I thought ‘I’ll just go for it’ and it seems like a lot of fun.

"My pact that I made with myself when I was 50 was I have to do things to challenge myself for the next couple of years. This is for all the 50-year-olds out there that think they can’t challenge themselves!"

John Fashanu

Former professional footballer John Fashanu is joining the Dancing on Ice 2023 line-up. Sports fans will know him from his eight-year spell at AFC Wimbledon, but what will happen when he swaps the football pitch for a skating rink?

In a statement confirming his involvement, John told fans: "I'm so excited to be a part of Dancing on Ice! I don't think it'll come as a surprise to people that I'm very competitive — I am definitely in it to win it. And this may be one of the scariest things I've ever signed up for but I couldn't be more ready for the challenge!"

Nile Wilson

Former British artistic gymnast Nile Wilson will be trying his hand at skating next year, as he joins the Dancing on Ice line-up where he hopes to "feel like an athlete" after retiring from gymnastics in 2021.

He announced the news on YouTube, saying: "I'm going to be on ITV's Dancing on Ice! This is a really cool thing. I've certainly not done much ice skating but I am so excited for the opportunity. I’m so excited to get into that routine and to feel like an athlete again."

"My biggest goal on the show is to do something that no one has ever done before!"

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu

Love Island 2022 winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu will take part in Dancing on Ice 2023, after being a fan-favorite among reality TV fans where she and partner Davide Sanclimenti stole both the show and the hearts of the nation.

Confirming the news on Good Morning Britain, she said: "I’ve got some amazing news to tell you, I’m going to be doing this year’s Dancing on Ice! I’m so excited, I can’t wait to get myself on the ice and skate. Stay tuned and see you on the ice."

Mollie Gallagher

Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher is also taking to the ice this year, which is definitely a change of scene from the cobbles we're used to seeing her on!

Confirming the news on ITV's Lorraine, she said: "I’m really excited. I’ve not really felt nervous yet, strangely. But being here today, I am now feeling it a little bit!"

She added that she's been asking her fellow Corrie stars for advice, claiming: "I’ll be getting all the tips I can because I’m going to need it!"

The Vivienne

RuPaul's Drag Race UK season 1 winner The Vivienne is the first drag performer to take part in Dancing on Ice.

Revealing the news on social media, The Vivienne said: "I'm beyond excited to announce that I will be competing in Dancing on Ice in 2023! 

"This is honestly a dream come true and I can't wait to start training on the ice. To be the first drag artist to take part in one of the big UK reality competition shows is truly an honour. I think it's a big step forward for queer representation on TV."

Joey Essex

The Only Way is Essex star Joey Essex is joining the line-up of stars competing for the trophy.

Joey announced the news on This Morning, telling hosts: "I would love to win. I’m going to put all my energy into this. This stage in my life, I’m so ready for this." 

Speaking about how he’d feel about receiving comments from the judges, Joey said: "I’m doing it for me. I want to impress the judges but I want to impress myself. I’m going to put all my effort into this."

Michelle Heaton 

Liberty X star Michelle Heaton will be taking to the ice this year too, and admitted she has wanted to do it for a long time.

Revealing the news this morning exclusively on Lorraine, Michelle said: "I’m so excited — I can’t believe it. Me and the kids are such huge fans of the show in general. 

"I’ve always wanted to do it but I know I would never have been able to complete anything because of the way I was 18 months ago, so I’m really truly grateful that I’ve got it this year when I’m a lot stronger.”

Former Hollyoaks actress and West End star Carley Stenson is also joining the 2023 line-up, where she's told fans she's "terrified" but also looking forward to competing on the ice.

Speaking about signing up for Dancing on Ice 2023, Carley said: "I'm so excited that I get to learn how to dance...on ice! I'm terrified but can’t wait - I just want to make the most of this whole experience."

Love Island: Aftersun presenter Darren Harriott joins the line-up, so we've got two Love Island stars taking part in the competition for 2023, but he isn't feeling too optimistic!

Revealing the news exclusively to Trisha Goddard on Talk TV, Darren said: "I’ve got giant feet, I don't skate and I can't dance! My family has already made bets - they’re making bets that I’ll fall on the first episode!"

Siva Kaneswaran

The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran is the final celebrity confirmed for Dancing on Ice 2023.  

His role was revealed live on Good Morning Britain on October 11, where he chatted to Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid about his upcoming time on the ITV show, where he revealed that one of his inspirations for going on the show was his fellow band member Tom Parker who passed away from cancer in March 2022.

Football legend John Fashanu was the first celebrity to leave the competition after competing in the dreaded skate-off against Ekin-Su.

After the result was announced, John said: "It's been great. It has been wonderful. FA Cup final again. I shall carry on skating and who knows, I might even start teaching people."

Sylvain Longchambon, Vicky Ogden, Klabera Komini, and Matt Evers also return to the show alongside fellow series favourites Alexandra Schauman and husband Łukasz Różycki, Mark Hanretty, Brendyn Hatfield, Vanessa Bauer, Tippy Packard, and Colin Grafton.

Dancing on Ice 2022 saw Regan Gascoigne and his professional skating partner Karina Manta join the Dancing on Ice winners list, with Brendan Cole and Vanessa Bauer as runner-ups, and Kimberley Wyatt and Mark Hanretty taking third place, in a final that fans called "the best ever".

Dancing on Ice 2023 fans were baffled after Matt Hancock made an unexpected appearance alongside Paul Chuckle in the audience of last night's episode (Sunday, January 5).

As the celebrity skaters took to the ice once again, there were some familiar, yet rather unlikely faces who appeared in the Dancing on Ice 2023 audience last night — Paul Chuckle of the Chuckle Brothers and the former Health Secretary Matt Hancock.

Despite being utterly confused by the pair's strange outing, viewers were unimpressed to see host Holly Willoughby interviewing Matt, who came third in I'm a Celebrity last year.

"Would you pop on a sequin and have a hop on our ice?" Holly asked him.

"I think I could do with dressing up a bit. This is so hard, eating cockroaches is nothing compared to how difficult this is," Matt replied.

In another bizarre twist, actor and TV presenter Christopher Biggins was also seen in the front row alongside Matt and TV star Paul Chuckle, who was seated next to Matt's partner Gina Coladangelo.

Fans were puzzled at seeing the unlikely pairing together in the studio audience and took to Twitter to voice their disbelief...

Last night's episode saw Love Island 2022 winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and her professional partner Brendyn Hatfield compete in the dreaded skate-off against EastEnders star Patsy Palmer and her skating partner Matt Evers.

Ekin-Su and Patsy were in tears after their emotional performance, with presenter Phillip Schofield reassuring them that: "I think this is the most emotional skate-off we've ever had on Dancing on Ice."

Sadly, it was announced that Ekin-Su would be leaving the competition after the judges voted to save Patsy.

Ekin-Su cried after it was announced and Phil and Holly gave her a comforting hug.

The reality star said: "We put so much time, and all the other work I had coming up at the time, this was my priority and I gave everything to it. And I love it, I fell in love with the ice."

Dancing On Ice 2023 was swamped with complaints last night (Sunday, January 22) after fans blasted the "screaming" audience for "ruining" the show.

It's a common complaint that's surrounded Dancing On Ice for years, with furious fans last year demanding that a screaming woman be removed from the studio.

During last night's episode, even host Philip Schofield tried to calm down the loud audience after the group routine at the start of the show.

The opening group routine had the audience on their feet as they loudly cheered and applauded while Philip tried to introduce the show. 

As he shouted over the whooping audience, he then bellowed: "You can sit down now.  You can sit down," before laughing at their excitement.

However, the "screaming" audience continued to be very loud throughout the show and fans were rather irritated that they couldn't hear the judges, contestants or music as the next set of celebrities took to the ice.

Fuming fans took to Twitter to express their anger and complained that the audience ruined the show, with some even saying that the competition was now "unwatchable."

The remaining celebrities performed their first skating routine this week with ex-footballer John Fashanu, Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher, comedian Darren Harriott, RuPaul's Drag Race UK season 1 winner The Vivienne and former Hollyoaks actress and West End star Carley Stenson all taking to the ice last night.

After receiving the lowest votes, Gladiators host John Fashanu was in the skate-off against Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, which saw John be the first to leave the competition.

The first episode of Dancing on Ice 2023 kicked off last night (Sunday, January 15) with judges Oti Mabuse, Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean and Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo all returning to The Ice Panel.

However, as the first six celebrities showed off their skating skills, viewers were left fuming with the results as popular reality star Ekin-Su and her professional partner Brendyn Hatfield found themselves in the skate-off.

Ekin-Su made an incredible first impression as she performed her first skating routine to Toxic by Britney Spears and included a hilarious nod to her Love Island appearance when she crawled along the ice, referencing the time she crawled along the villa balcony to sneakily kiss contestant Jay.

But, despite landing an impressive score of 21.5 for her performance, the public vote meant that she would be in the skate-off where she'll have to fight for a place in the competition against the five remaining celebrity skaters.

The other celebrities set to take to the ice next week are ex-footballer John Fashanu, Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher, comedian Darren Harriott, RuPaul's Drag Race UK season 1 winner The Vivienne and former Hollyoaks actress and West End star Carley Stenson.

This week, Ekin-Su skated alongside EastEnders legend Patsy Palmer, pop star Michelle Heaton, The Wanted singer Siva Kaneswaran, Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson and reality star Joey Essex.

How does it feel to be back for another series of Dancing on Ice?

Jayne: "It’s always good to be back and it’s exciting when we get to see the new group of celebrities. There’s always a buzz because you wonder what’s going to happen and how far they are going to go."

Chris: "Like a lot of shows, you get to a certain time of year and it’s Dancing on Ice time! We’ve established that, come January, when it’s dark and bleak, on TV there’s a glitzy and over-the-top jeopardy show…"

What are you hoping for from this series?

Chris: "Something we haven’t seen before, something new and creative! We want to be wowed, we want to be excited. Sometimes your expectation on somebody, you think they'll be great, but then you get really surprised by others who take it on and just become good at it. I have a feeling The Vivienne will surprise people. We’re tossing down the gauntlet to everyone but there’s a gymnast, Nile Wilson, in there too!"

What advice would you give to Dancing on Ice’s Class of 2023?

Jayne: "The same as every year — put the hours in with all the basic training. But also enjoy it! If you enjoy it then you’ll want to do more and you’ll want to work harder. It’s about having fun at the same time as working hard."

Chris: "Everyone takes it very personally — it’s their Olympics in a sense. You get into this bubble and everybody is trying to do the best they can, to survive each week and get to the final. Each week, we always used to say that when we leave the ice, we want to feel like we’ve achieved something."

Finally, which celebrity would you love to see on the ice?

Chris: "Margot Robbie! She did play a skater once in a film."

Jayne: "Regé-Jean Page from Bridgerton! Shall we see if he’s free?"

Dancing on Ice skates back onto our screens on Sunday, January 15 at 6.30 pm on ITV1.

Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher is the fifth celebrity confirmed to be taking part in Dancing On Ice 2023.

Speaking exclusively on Lorraine, Mollie said: “I’m really excited. I’ve not really felt nervous yet, strangely. But being here today, I am now feeling it a little bit!” 

On seeking advice from her Coronation Street co-stars, Mollie revealed: “I’ll be getting all the tips I can because I’m going to need it!” 

Mollie is best known for her role as Nina Lucas in Coronation Street and won the National Television Award for Outstanding Serial Drama Performance last year for her heartbreaking hate crime storyline.

Mollie's Coronation Street co-star Sally Dynevor took part in the show last year, as well as Samia Longchambon (Maria Connor), Lisa George (Beth Tinker), Antony Cotton (Sean Tully), Brooke Vincent (Sophie Webster) and Faye Brookes (Kate Connor) who have all had their stint on the ice.

She will be joining DJ and EastEnders star Patsy Palmer, football legend Josh Fashanu, Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and recently announced Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson.

Football legend John Fashanu is the second celebrity joining the Dancing On Ice 2023 line-up.

The football star will be joining DJ and EastEnders legend Patsy Palmer, who was confirmed that she would be taking part in the upcoming series on This Morning.

John said about signing up for the show: "I'm so excited to be a part of Dancing on Ice! I don't think it'll come as a surprise to people that I'm very competitive — I am definitely in it to win it. And this may be one of the scariest things I've ever signed up for but I couldn't be more ready for the challenge!"

The former professional footballer has played for Norwich City, Miramar Rangers, Lincoln City, Crystal Palace, Milwall, and Aston Villa.

He's best known for his eight-year spell at Wimbledon where he won the FA Cup in 1988 and has scored 134 league goals throughout his 17-year career.

After his football career, John co-hosted Gladiators in the 1990s and managed his own Sunday league football side Fash FC on Bravo between 2003 and 2004.

This won't be John's first reality TV rodeo as he came second in I'm A Celebrity in 2003 and also competed in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins in 2020.

EastEnders legend Patsy Palmer has been announced as the first celebrity to join Dancing On Ice 2023. 

The news was announced today (Monday, October 3) on This Morning. Patsy said: "I wanted to challenge myself and get out of my comfort zone. I thought ‘I’ll just go for it’ and it seems like a lot of fun."

She added: "My pact that I made with myself when I was 50 was I have to do things to challenge myself for the next couple of years. This is for all the 50-year-olds out there that think they can’t challenge themselves!"

Patsy is best known for playing the iconic role of Bianca Jackson on EastEnders from 1993 to1999. She then returned to Walford between 2008 and 2014, before most recently making a guest appearance in the role in 2019.

Dancing On Ice fans applauded last night’s grand final (Sunday, March. 27) and branded it the “best final ever” as the three remaining celebrities put on a spectacular performance.

Professional dancer Regan Gascoigne was crowned the winner of Dancing On Ice 2022 after beating former Strictly Come Dancing pro Brendan Cole and Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly Wyatt, who both came second and third respectively. 

The couples each skated twice, with one being a routine especially choreographed for them by Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean, and then their favourite dance from the series.

All of the finalists managed to bag perfect scores of 40 for all of their routines, however, it was up to the public vote to decide who won and the judges scores were only advisory.

Kimberly and her professional partner Mark Hanretty finished in third place and after weeks of intense competition she said: "Thank you so much, this has been such a beautiful experience and I'm so grateful to everyone for what they've done for us.”

This news comes after viewers wanted Kimberly to win the show after putting on many effortless performances and topping the leader board constantly for weeks.

After her elimination, the final two pairs skated their interpretations of Torvill and Dean’s gold medal-winning Bolero routine, which is a long-established Dancing On Ice tradition that has been performed for years throughout the competition.

Regan managed to skate to victory alongside his pro skating partner Karina Manta and he was in floods of tears after the news was announced. 

Excited fans took to social media to commend the "best final ever"...

Before his win, the 26-year-old dancer and son of Paul Gascoigne admitted that he was “battered and bruised” after suffering nasty injuries throughout the series, including popping his shoulder out and flying backwards onto the ice.

He revealed during his appearance on Lorraine in February that: “One tiny little movement can throw you. It sounds so stupid because it is so slippery, but it is so slippery to a point where you're like, you have no control but you genuinely don't. Even when you think you know what you're doing and you have the routine in your head.

“Like the other day when we were just on the practice rink, I went flying and landed on my back literally on something that I had been doing so easily, it just happens."

But who will be joining the list of past Dancing On Ice winners?

Each remaining couple will be performing a brand-new showcase routine as well as reprising their favorite routine of the series — but only the top two couples in the public vote will get the chance to perform their take on Torvill & Dean's iconic routine to Maurice Ravel's 'Boléro', for which they won gold at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo.

Ahead of the final, we caught up with Dancing On Ice's associate creative director — and former three-time champion with his celebrity partners Gaynor Faye, Hayley Tamaddon and Beth Tweddle in 2006, 2010 and 2013 respectively — Dan Whiston, to find out what we can expect from this year's grand final...

How has the standard of talent been on Dancing On Ice this year?

"This year has been unbelievable! Everybody, the whole team is so appreciative of where they are and what they're doing. We've come out of a time where West End shows are being cancelled and TV shows have had to be cancelled, and people have been struggling, now all we want to do is put on a fantastic show for the people at home. I just hope everyone's enjoyed it!"

Are you impressed with what the three finalists have achieved?

"Because everybody's taking the show so seriously, and they're so invested in it, the standard has never been higher — and for my role in the show, that's so wonderful because we can push boundaries. We can push the bar to a place it's never been before — the standard is not going to slip now!"

How have you found working with Brendan Cole?

"Brendan's done a fantastic job — he's got his experience of performance from Strictly and he's bringing that to the ice. It's similar to what [2019 winner] James Jordan did, and it's wonderful to work with someone like that because they have their own ideas as well which can be incorporated into the routines. I've loved and enjoyed working with him because he brings a different edge."

And what has it been like working with Kimberly Wyatt?

"Kimberly is so wonderful to work with — she's quite inspiring, actually, because she's obviously a trained dancer, but you have to teach the dancer how to skate. She's very dedicated and very professional, is Kim. She gives everything she's got, and she wants to get perfection — she'll go over and over and over a step until she gets it, she's very determined!"

And how about working with Regan Gascoigne?

"Regan has been under the radar, but he's got so much more to bring. For me, one of the standout routines of Torvill & Dean Week was 'Barnum', he really did deliver. I was on the edge of my seat, and it brought Jayne [Torvill] to tears! He is absolutely one to watch — I think he's completely in vision after that performance, and he could be one to watch!"

The show had a week's break between the semi-final and the final for FA Cup football. Will that be helpful for the finalists?

"I think that's a really positive thing. We've got an extra week to get their routine, and they've got a lot to learn! They've got the Boléro to get down, so I think it will make for a better quality final because they've got that extra week of training."

You've won the show three times yourself — how do you think the finalists will be feeling on Sunday?

"They're going to feel full of anxiety, and full of stress — but it's a case of dealing with that, turning it into the routine and making sure it works for you rather than against you. Some people may crumble a little bit under this kind of stress, other people will rise — and that's what will split the difference..."

Former Strictly Come Dancing pro Brendan and his skating partner Vanessa have constantly been impressing the judges throughout the competition, scoring perfect 40s across the board over the weeks. 

He also amazed the nation with his same-sex partnership routine with Brendyn Hatfield, a feat which was last done on the show in 2020, after Vanessa was unable to take part in the show due to testing positive for COVID. 

Regan Gascoigne and Karina Manta

Professional dancer Regan has been “battered and bruised” throughout the competition, but this hasn’t stopped him from putting on show-stopping performances alongside his pro partner Karina. 

Regan wowed audiences with his first effortless performance and since then, has been constantly amazing the viewers and judges with his skating skills.

Kimberly Wyatt and Mark Hanretty

Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly has put on some phenomenal performances, and some fans have been desperate for her to win the show after her themed dance routine with professional partner Mark.

She has also been constantly topping the leader board, making her tough competition for some, but will she remain undefeated in the final?

The Vamps drummer has earned a reputation for sustaining a lot of injuries during his time on the competition, with one of the most grisly being splitting his chin open and bleeding during his performance and 'ripping' his leg open.

Connor appeared on Lorraine this morning (Wednesday, March. 9) where he spoke more in-depth about his injuries.

"There’s been a lot. I split my chin open, so I had five stitches in there. I dislocated my shoulder and then I ripped my leg open in three different places and had 14 stitches down there," he said to Lorraine Kelly.

He continued: “There’s quite a lot of bruising going on,” after TV presenter Lorraine asked him if he was okay.

The 25-year-old musician has had to receive many treatments for his wounds, including when he fell on the ice during his routine after getting caught on professional partner Alexandra Schaumann’s skating blade.

He is also suffering a hip injury and is constantly having his shoulder reset when it gets dislocated, but he’s more nervous than ever for his upcoming solo routine this weekend.

“I’m terrified. I am excited, it will be fun, but it’s going to be scary without Alex next to me, because normally I can lean on her a little bit,” he revealed.

Earlier in the competition, Happy Monday’s star Bez suffered a horror accident during rehearsals where he fell so hard on the ice that his helmet flew off and former Strictly Come Dancing pro Brendan Cole was sent to A&E after smashing his head on the ice.

Brendan told The Daily Star: “I was on the ice and I took my mind off what I was doing for a second. I turned — and that’s the last thing I remember. I was taken to hospital and ended up with a concussion. When I realised what had happened, I was horrified.”

Dancing on Ice is coming to an end soon, but fans will have to wait a little longer to find out who the winner of this year's competition is!

The Dancing on Ice 2022 season has been filled with all sorts of exciting routines, and unfortunately some injuries too, but it hasn't stopped our celebrities from giving it their all in the hopes that they'll be crowned the winner.

Fans have had some strong thoughts this season, including feeling devastated when Stef left the competition and calls for more same-sex couples on the show following Brendan Cole and Brendyn Hatfield's performance.

We can now confirm that the final of the ITV skating competition has been pushed back from 20 March to 27 March, as a result of live football being aired in the usual Sunday evening Dancing on Ice slot.

The schedule change accommodates the FA Cup Quarterfinal on March 20, which will see Liverpool facing Nottingham Forest at The City Ground after they beat Huddersfield 2-1. 

Since it's a live game, this does affect regular TV scheduling, so Dancing on Ice fans will have to wait another week to see how the final of the competition plays out.

But first, we need to see the semi-finals which will air at 7.30 pm on Sunday, March 13, and we now know which celebrities will be skating to stay in the competition. 

Fans will see Brendan Cole, Connor Ball, Kimberly Wyatt, Kye Whyte and Regan Gascoigne facing off against each other, and there'll be a double elimination coming up too.

There's tough competition though as these are all strong skaters, and we even saw Pussycat Dolls' singer Kimberly Wyatt achieve a series first, where she performed an upside-down inverted split, the first celebrity to do it in Dancing on Ice history!

Week 8 saw some consistently good scores for all participants, with Brendan and Vanessa, Kimberly and Mark and Regan and Karina all scoring a perfect 40. But how will that compare to their semi-final performances?

Dancing On Ice 2022 viewers were heartbroken after last night’s show (Sunday, Mar. 6) as Paralympian Stef Reid was eliminated from the competition.

Stef has been constantly impressing the nation with her skating skills despite having a prosthetic leg. Last week, Stef wowed everyone at home by doing the first terrifying headbanger of the series. 

The British athlete made history by being the first prosthetic leg user to do the dangerous move on the show, which was adapted to use her left leg instead of the usual right leg with her professional partner Andy Buchanan.

It was Torvill and Dean week last night, and the contestants had to perform routines inspired by Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.

Stef scored an impressive 36.5 points for her routine, but she found herself in the skate-off against BMX Olympian Kye Whyte. 

It was the fourth time Kye had been in the skate-off with his partner Tippy Packard, but sadly Stef was the one to be eliminated from the competition, with the judges saving Kye for the fourth time.

Stef shared a touching post on Twitter, thanking everyone for their support during her time on the show and her “incredible” pro partner Andy.

The caption read: “I will miss this so much! Thank you to everyone for their support and encouragement! And thank you most of all to this incredible human! @AndyBuchananTV #dancingonice.”

Fans were not happy that we had to say goodbye to Stef and were quick to voice their upset on social media…

Kye has found himself in the skate-off against a number of the contestants, including: Coronation Street legend Sally Dynevor, S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens, and Love Island favorite Liberty Poole, all of which he has come out triumphant.

Dancing On Ice 2022 fans praised Paralympian Stef Reid for doing the first petrifying headbanger of the series during last night’s episode (Sunday, Feb. 27).

Not only is the headbanger one of the most dangerous moves to do on the ice, but Stef has managed to make history as she is the first prosthetic leg user to do the move on the show.

The stunt was particularly tricky for the pair as it usually involves the man holding the woman’s right leg and spinning her round with her head inches from the ice, but as the British athlete has a prosthetic leg they adapted the move and used her left leg instead.

“I really enjoyed it and I am really proud that we managed to do it,” Stef revealed after her performance.

To make the routine even more challenging, this week was Props Week, so the contestants had to incorporate a prop into their routine. Stef and her professional partner Andy Buchanan chose a clothes rail for their dance and skated to Material Girl by Madonna.

Their impressive routine, which also had a quick change included, scored them a whopping 36 points by the judges, leaving her joint third with pro dancer Regan Gascoigne on the leader board.

Fans at home couldn’t stop talking about her show-stopping attempt at the headbanger move and took to social media to share their amazement…

Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to Coronation Street legend Sally Dynevor this week after she appeared in the skate-off against BMX Olympian Kye Whyte. 

After her elimination, Sally shared a touching post on her Instagram account thanking her professional partner Matt Evers, with the caption: “What an incredible journey I’ve had with my wonderful partner @themattevers you’ve lifted me up and spun me around and I’ve made a lifelong friend. @themattevers @dancingonice.”

Dancing on Ice 2022 judges Oti Mabuse, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will be performing together for the first time this weekend, in a special one-off performance.

The performance comes ahead of Oti's upcoming I Am Here tour, and she has revealed she'll be giving fans a sneak peak of what she's been working on this Sunday when she takes to the floor with ice skating legends Torvill and Dean.

In a statement, Oti said: "It's so great to be dancing again and I can't wait for everyone to see what we’ve been working on for my I Am Here UK Tour when we debut the show on Dancing On Ice this Sunday! Someone pinch me! 

"Dance will always be my first love and this tour will be the end of the most amazing chapter of my life! My way to say thank you to everyone that has supported me on this journey."

She added: "I’m so honoured that the legendary Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean have choreographed the talented pro skaters for this special performance. It’s literally a dream come true. Thank you also to my tour cast  - Ladies - you are the best, and to my creative Director James Bennett and my wonderful team. Don’t miss it on ITV at 6:30pm this Sunday!"

Jayne Torvill also had her say on the performance, adding: "We always love to experiment with new ideas and it was so much fun working alongside Oti on this brand new routine. It really does show how much dance and ice skating can work in unison together, we really hope the viewers enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed working on it together."

While Christopher Dean said: "This is an exciting performance which showcases dance and skating perfectly. We have loved working with Oti and the collaboration was hugely exciting for us all." 

It's going to be a great show for Dancing on Ice this week, as alongside the performance it's also the return of Props Week where our remaining couples face their toughest challenge yet as each has been given a prop that they must incorporate into their routines!

Dancing On Ice 2022 has revealed the songs the remaining contestants will be dancing to this Sunday (Feb. 27), including Kye Whyte, Regan Gascoigne, Kimberly Wyatt, Brendan Cole, Stef Reid, Connor Ball, and Sally Dynevor. 

If skating a routine wasn’t hard enough, Props Week is about to make it more challenging, as the skaters will incorporate a prop into their performance. In recent news, Regan revealed that he had been left "battered and bruised" during rehearsals for his tricky upcoming routine for Props Week.

Former Strictly Come Dancing pro Brendan Cole will also be back with his professional partner Vanessa Bauer this week after she tested positive for COVID, leaving her unable to perform last week. Brendyn Hatfield replaced Vanessa in the routine, and now fans are calling for more same-sex couples to be on the show.

Dancing On Ice 2022 contestant Regan Gascoigne has been left “battered and bruised” after suffering some gruesome injuries during rehearsals, including popping his shoulder out and flying backwards onto the ice.

The 26-year-old dancer and son of Paul Gascoigne appeared on Lorraine today (Wednesday, Feb. 23) with his professional skating partner Karina Manta, where he spoke about his tricky upcoming routine for ‘Props Week.’

He revealed: “One tiny little movement can throw you. It sounds so stupid because it is so slippery, but it is so slippery to a point where you're like, you have no control but you genuinely don't. Even when you think you know what you're doing and you have the routine in your head.

“Like the other day when we were just on the practice rink, I went flying and landed on my back literally on something that I had been doing so easily, it just happens."

Lorraine went on to question: "You have to be absolutely focused all of the time. How is the little body? Is it bruised?”

"A little battered and bruised! Both of my knees have always got knee supports on, they're a bit swollen, and I popped my shoulder out," Regan confessed.

Luckily, this hasn’t stopped Regan from practicing the difficult routine, as Karina chimed in with: "He keeps going, he doesn't want to stop for anything."

There have been many injuries suffered by the Dancing On Ice contestants over the last few weeks, with some even forced out of the competition.

Rachel Stevens and Kye Whyte were both unable to take part at different stages of the competition due to serious injuries. The harsh rehearsals have also had a number of casualties including Brendan Cole and Bez, who fell so hard on the ice that his helmet went flying off.

Dancing On Ice 2022 viewers want more same-sex partnerships on the show after Brendan Cole and Brendyn Hatfield highly impressed the nation with their performance last night (Sunday, Feb. 20).

Brendan's pro skating partner Vanessa Bauer was unable to take part in this week’s show due to testing positive for COVID, so pro skater Brendyn stepped in as her replacement.

In 2020, Steps singer Ian 'H' Watkins made Dancing On Ice history when he took part in a same-sex partnership with professional Matt Evers and this is the first time since then a same-sex couple has taken to the ice.

For Musicals week, choreographer and West End royalty Arlene Phillips was welcomed as a guest judge to the panel, where she scored the pair the first 10 of the series for their skating routine to Beggin' from Jersey Boys.

Fans at home took to social media to applaud their amazing routine and are now keen to see more same-sex couples take part in the competition after this week’s success…

The former Strictly Come Dancing pro and Brendyn earned a whopping 47 points and came second on the leader board, following Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt who came first for the fourth week running. 

Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to Happy Mondays star Bez this week, who was eliminated after competing in the skate-off against Coronation Street legend Sally Dynevor. 

Bez was the first contestant in Dancing On Ice history to compete with a crash helmet on and entertained the nation with his hilarious performances, but he found himself apologizing to his fellow co-stars as he felt awful for remaining in the competition, despite being the worst skater.

In other Dancing On Ice news, viewers were wowed by Kimberly’s phenomenal performance last week and now want her to win the whole show. After topping the leader board four weeks in a row, she certainly has the potential to be crowned the winner.

Dancing On Ice 2022 professional skater Matt Evers has teased that his partner Sally Dynevor may be attempting a dangerous skating move for the competition this weekend, possibly hinting that she could be trying the terrifying headbanger.

Matt posted a video on his Instagram account showing a behind-the-scenes peek at their rehearsals, but with a new addition to the ice — a crash mat.

He captioned the video: “Day 1.. musicals Week. Straight from bed to the ice… crash mat? Hmmm wonder what we are doing? 😳🤣 #dancingonice @dancingonice.”

Could the crash mat be hinting at a major move for Sally? We’ll have to find out this Sunday!

Coronation Street legend Sally has won the hearts of the nation with her magical routines and transformations. Talking to What to Watch, she admitted that taking part in the competition was the scariest thing she had ever done, but was eager to face her fears.

She said: “This is the scariest thing I’ve ever done! I walked to Everest base camp but that was with a team and I was on two feet. I’m on two feet with this, too, but the ice is so slippery and that’s really scary. I think this will be really good for my confidence, though. 

“I don't have much confidence in myself and I just think if I can do this, if I can skate on a live show, then I’ll feel like I can do anything. It's really important to me, at this age, to face my fears. A couple of years ago I probably wouldn’t do anything that was scary, but as I get older I think I’ve just got to face my fears and do it."

At the start of the competition, Sally was hesitant to skate on her own due to nerves, with Matt revealing to The Sun: "Sally can skate. People forget she's 58 years old, you know, so she has been cautious. She's been nervous about it, Sally and I have always joked we have a combined age of 103, so we are the golden oldies of the series so I have always held her hand.”

But she has since taken the monumental step and skated on her own, with her perseverance being highly praised throughout the competition.

Current Dancing On Ice 2022 contestant and former Strictly Come Dancing pro Brendan Cole appeared on Loose Women today (Thursday, Feb. 17) where he admitted that he would 'absolutely' be up for judging Strictly if he was asked to.

This week on Dancing On Ice, Brendan will be skating with professional skater Brendyn Hatfield after his partner Vanessa Bauer tested positive for COVID and is unable to take part in this weekend’s show.

Ex-Strictly judge and West End royalty Arlene Phillips will be joining the panel as a guest judge for Musicals week, which Brendan spoke briefly about during his appearance on Loose Women.

“Arlene’s a phenomenal force within musicals and the West End. She’s a good friend of mine from working so many years on Strictly. I’m interested to see how she’s going to be this weekend because she’s going to have quite an eye for detail from the theatre. If we don’t bring that, she’s going to be quite harsh, I think,” he said.

He also touched on the rumor that Bruno Tonioli has been dropped from the show so that they can keep professional dancer Anton Du Beke as a judge. The Loose Women panel asked what he thought about this decision...

“I would be in Anton’s camp," admitted Brendan. "It is fresh for the show, I think he’s done a great job."

“I’d like him to be a bit more constructively critical. I think he’s a bit too nice, but maybe he’s being that way because he wants the seat. I think he’s done a good job on the panel, I think it needs a mix-up. Hey, get rid of half of them, I say!” he joked.

When Brendan was questioned if he would be willing to be a judge, he seemed keen on the idea.

“Oh, absolutely. I judged the New Zealand version for five years back in the day, and I enjoyed the experience. One, you never get voted off, which is always lovely, and then you get to give the couples something that they can bring back the following week."

Dancing on Ice 2022 has announced that professional skater Vanessa Bauer won't be performing alongside partner Brendan Cole this weekend, after testing positive for Covid-19.

A spokesperson for the ITV show said: "Unfortunately, Vanessa Bauer is unable to skate this weekend after testing positive for Covid-19. We look forward to Vanessa returning to the competition soon. 

"Brendan Cole will still perform in this Sunday's show and will be partnered with professional skater Brendyn Hatfield."

However, they have confirmed that Brendan will still compete against the remaining celebrities, and he will be performing with professional skater Brendyn Hatfield instead. 

Confirming the news, Brendyn said: "I'm thrilled that Brendan asked if I would skate with him this weekend — what an honor! Vanessa is a brilliant choreographer and I've loved watching her and Brendan skate each week. 

"I'm looking forward to putting together an exciting routine for this Sunday's show which I'm hoping will impress both the judges and viewers!" 

Brendan Cole has also spoken about the change, saying: "I am absolutely gutted that Vanessa is unable to skate this weekend. I know she would have put together another fantastic routine. However, and with Vanessa’s blessing I’ve been given an amazing opportunity to create something fantastic for Musicals Week with Brendyn. He's an exceptionally talented skater and I have no doubt we will be able to create something really special for the show! I can’t thank him enough for stepping in."

Brendyn was previously partnered with Rachel Stevens, who was the third celebrity to be eliminated from the competition. He'll now be stepping in to perform with Brendan, who's hoping to remain in the competition.

They'll be skating to Beggin' by Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons from Jersey Boys as part of Musicals Week, and Vanessa will return to the competition once her isolation period is over.

Dancing On Ice 2022 viewers were stunned by one particular contestant’s performance during last night's episode (Sunday, Feb. 13) and are now desperate for her to win the show.

The Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly Wyatt put on a phenomenal performance last night as she and her professional partner Mark Hanretty skated to Bad Guy by Billie Eilish. 

For this week, the contestants got to do a routine inspired by one of their favorite things in life. On top of this, they had to also complete the judges' challenge where they had to do a circular step sequence with their partner unaided.

Kimberly chose true crime documentaries as the theme of her dance and her routine clearly impressed the judges as well as fans at home as she scored an impressive 36.5 points, making this her third week in a row to top the leader board.

Dancing On Ice fans were blown away by Kimberly’s performance and now want her to win the whole show…

Liberty Poole was the fourth celebrity to be eliminated from the show after she fell on the ice, with Regan Gascoigne and Bez also suffering stumbles during their routines.

Regan also scored 36.5 points, while Bez found himself at the bottom of the leader board with his beekeeping routine at 19.5 points.

In other Dancing On Ice news, Bez confessed that he felt “so awful” and “guilty” for remaining in the show and has apologized to his fellow contestants as better skaters have been voted off.

Bez admitted to The Sun: “I feel so awful for everyone, like Ben. He skated brilliantly and he was really strong, doing massive lifts on his first skate. I felt really bad. Then Ria went out and I felt really bad again. Then Rachel went and she’s so beautiful. I was like, ‘Aarrrgh!’

“We’ve got a group chat and I send my love and that in there. I just feel so awful. The judges having the final say is my only saving grace. That stops me completely crumbling about it.”

Dancing On Ice 2022 contestant Brendan Cole has revealed how much he loves skating with his professional skating partner Vanessa Bauer, adding that he likes the "spice" in her.

The former Strictly Come Dancing pro was ecstatic to be partnered with the 25-year-old pro skater at the start of the show, where he posted a video on his Instagram story saying: “And there she is, it’s Vanessa Bauer. I am so excited to be partnered with her. Very, very lucky. An incredible skater, I’ve loved watching her on the show over the years and I’m ecstatic. Watch this space, people.”

Talking to The Mirror, Brendan showered Vanessa with praise, as he explained: “Within my field, I’ve had a handful of partners who I’ve absolutely loved working with, they were inspiring to me as a dancer and I’ve loved the feeling of dancing with them — and I’m so very thankful Vanessa’s exactly the same.”

He then went on to compliment her phenomenal skating technique and exceptional talent.

"She’s got something very special on the ice. She’s a phenomenal skater, exceptionally talented. I’m very, very lucky to have been partnered with her," he said.

"There are a few elements to our personalities that just work. We love that feeling of, 'It’s not quite good enough until the day'. We have that same drive, the same work ethic. She’s got a little bit of spice in her, which I like.

“She gives me a look every now and then and I know I’m in trouble and just go, ‘Sorry!’ She has to put up with my ridiculous sense of humour and the crazy things I say and do on the ice. So I think that just works.”

Brendan has fallen victim to many injuries on the ice during training, including one where he ended up in A&E after smashing his head, as well as accidentally slicing Vanessa’s back with his blade.

Luckily, his injuries have not forced him out of skating in the competition, which unfortunately happened to S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens and BMX Olympian Kye Whyte over the last few weeks.

Dancing On Ice 2022 contestant Bez has revealed that he feels "guilty" and "so awful" that he’s still in the show and has apologized to his fellow contestants.

Bez told The Sun: “I feel so awful for everyone, like Ben. He skated brilliantly and he was really strong, doing massive lifts on his first skate. I felt really bad. Then Ria went out and I felt really bad again. Then Rachel went and she’s so beautiful. I was like, ‘Aarrrgh!’

Happy Mondays star Bez is the first contestant in history to wear a crash helmet during his performances and has suffered brutal injuries throughout the rehearsals, including hitting his head so hard on the ice that his safety helmet came off.

The show has also been hit with criticism, with Ben Foden’s wife slamming the show for being "pointless" and "unfair," and the general public were furious when TV Presenter Ria Hebden and S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens were eliminated from the competition.

Bez is wracked with guilt as a result, saying: “I feel guilty, especially when you know the people who have been voted out are actually better than you.

"Last week in the dress rehearsal I actually went through elimination. Now I know what it felt like to get eliminated."

Despite this, Bez is grateful for all the support he has received, and that he’s determined to be as good as the other skaters.

"The public have given me massive support, which I really appreciate. I’m determined to improve again this week and skate a little bit better, and the other skaters are my inspiration now. I want to try to get somewhere near their level."

Although, Bez did say that he’s no closer to removing his safety gear as he went "flying" across the rink while chatting to his co-star Kimberly Wyatt.

He said: "Yesterday I wasn’t actually even skating. I was stood at the side of the rink talking to Kimberly Wyatt and I went flying for six. I don’t even have to be skating now. I just stood at the barrier, so that was really embarrassing."

Dancing On Ice 2022 star Rachel Stevens has spoken out on her recent exit from the competition after being eliminated from the show on Sunday.

Rachel posted a snap of her and professional partner Brendyn Hatfield on Instagram, where she thanked everyone for their support and that she had an amazing time on the show, despite her early exit. 

The caption read: “Wow, what an incredible experience… 💫 I’ve taken away so much from my time @dancingonice. I was surrounded by such an amazing team of people, learnt so much and made memories to last a lifetime. It definitely wasn’t the start @brendynhatfield and I had hoped for but I’m so so proud of what we achieved together and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better partner.”

She showered her partner Brendyn with praise, as she continued: “Just the most gorgeous human… kind, patient and so incredibly talented, it was such a pleasure to learn from you everyday and I’ve most definitely made a friend for life, thank you for everything.

“I also want to say a huge thank you for all your messages of love and support throughout my time at DOI it really has meant so much. “

Rachel went on to thank the production team and everyone involved, before wishing her fellow contestants loads of luck in the competition.

The former S Club 7 singer was the third celebrity to be eliminated from the competition after a tense skate-off against BMX Olympian Kye Whyte.

Her time on the show has been nothing short of eventful, as she was forced out of the live show on Sunday Jan. 23 after fracturing her wrist during a practice session and had to make her skating debut the week after.

She revealed to What To Watch at the start of the series: "I skated when I was younger, but when I got back on the ice for the first time I was definitely wobbly! I love the idea of getting fit and strong, but one of my weaknesses is that I’m a perfectionist, I don’t like getting things wrong."

Dancing On Ice 2022 viewers called for Stephen Mulhern to become a permanent fixture on the show after filling in for host Phillip Schofield who is isolating with COVID.

Sunday's show was the first time Stephen and Holly Willoughby were back hosting together in 16 years, since presenting children’s TV show Holly & Stephen's Saturday Showdown between 2004 and 2006.

Stephen shared a photo of him and Holly on the Dancing On Ice stage on Instagram, with the caption: “Standing in for the incredible @schofe on @dancingonice tonight ❄️⛸ Back with my right hand woman @hollywilloughby for the first time in 16 years! See you tonight at 6pm on @itv and @wearestv1 #dancingonice.”

During the last night’s show, Holly opened the show with: “You may have heard Phil is isolating, so for the first time ever he won’t be here this week. I know he’s watching at home. We are sending you lots of love Phil. However, the lovely Stephen Mulhern has stepped in to save the day.”

Stephen then said to Holly: “Can you believe it’s actually been 16 years since we have worked together on kids TV?”

Phillip was eagerly watching from home, filming Holly’s welcome to Stephen on his TV and posting the footage on his Instagram stories with the caption: “Well this is an experience I never expected!! I’m loving watching with a G&T.” Followed by another snap with Phillip jokingly adding: “Not too much fun Mulhern…I know where you live.”

Fans loved Stephen and took to social media to praise his appearance on the show, demanding that he become a permanent feature…

In other Dancing On Ice news, we sadly had to say goodbye to S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens after an intense skate-off with BMX Olympian Kye Whyte. Meanwhile, The Vamps band member Connor Ball performed with blood dripping from his face after bursting stitches on his chin from an accident that happened backstage.

Connor explained what happened, saying: "I was a bit stressed about the spin, so I kept trying to perfect the spin and I slipped out and smacked my face on the ice."

Dancing On Ice 2022 will reportedly be welcoming top choreographer and former Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips to the panel later this month.

On Sunday, Feb. 20 Arlene will be joining fellow judges Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, and newcomer Oti Mabuse, who replaced former judge John Barrowman.

Her one-off appearance commemorates the first time that the ITV show will have five judges. A TV insider revealed to The Sun: “ITV have been keen to get Arlene on board and have been talking to her for months about her guest slot on the show.

“She has decades of dance experience under her belt which producers wanted to draw on and enhance the panel even further. Plus, audiences will be thrilled to see her back judging on primetime TV, just as she once was on Strictly.”

A spokeswoman for ITV, also said to The Sun: “We’re looking forward to having Dame Arlene on the show - a very special, special guest for Dancing on Ice.”

The 78-year-old showbiz legend has used her judging expertise on many programmes over the years, including, So You Think You Can Dance, Strictly Dance Fever, DanceX, and Let’s Dance For Comic Relief. She has also directed and choreographed routines for huge theatre shows, such as We Will Rock You, Grease, and The Sound of Music to name a few.

Arlene left Strictly in 2008 after four years on the show and recently took part in I’m A Celebrity 2021 and was the oldest ever contestant to appear on the series.  

Sadly, Arlene was the first to leave the camp after votes opened for the public to choose who to save. She said she'd wanted to challenge herself and prove she's fearless and was congratulated by hosts Ant and Dec for being the oldest ever campmate.

Dancing On Ice 2022 professional Matt Evers has revealed that his skating partner, Coronation Street icon Sally Dynevor, will take an immense risk on the ice for their upcoming performance this weekend.

Sally has stunned the nation with her magical routines and transformations, but currently she has not skated on her own due to nerves. However, she’s set to make a monumental change for Dance Week this Sunday according to Matt.

He told The Sun that: "Sally can skate. People forget she's 58 years old, you know, so she has been cautious. She's been nervous about it, Sally and I have always joked we have a combined age of 103, so we are the golden oldies of the series so I have always held her hand.

"This week will be a huge step though, we are taking on the advice from the judges, and Sally will skate alone. We will be doing something different from what everybody is used to. It will have a great vibe."

This week, they will be skating to Build Me Up Buttercup by The Foundations and Matt highly praised Sally’s perseverance throughout the competition.

"Sally's not a dancer, some days it's not easy for her. When I come to her with some choreography she never complains, she's like, 'yes, we're doing this.'

"She is a great actress, and you see that when she is on the ice. She puts everyone at ease when she performs. Everyone loves her and she's a pleasure to work with,” he said.

Talking to What To Watch, Sally admitted that taking part in Dancing On Ice is the scariest thing she’s ever done, but is determined to face her fears. 

She said: "I don't have much confidence in myself and I just think if I can do this, if I can skate on a live show, then I’ll feel like I can do anything. It's really important to me, at this age, to face my fears. A couple of years ago I probably wouldn’t do anything that was scary, but as I get older I think I’ve just got to face my fears and do it."

Robin Cousins can't wait for all the winter sports action to begin in Beijing as he's among the BBC’s commentary team in China. 

Legendary figure skater Robin famously won gold for Britain at the Lake Placid Olympics in 1980 so knows firsthand what pressures the athletes might be facing, and where the pitfalls could lie.  

Beijing coverage in the UK is on BBC1, BBC2, and BBC Red Button. Following a spectacular opening ceremony at the Bird’s Nest Stadium on Friday Feb. 4, Team GB’s skiers and skaters take to the snow and ice from Saturday, Feb. 5 2022. This year, Great Britain is sending a squad of around 50 athletes to the Games, and we’re aiming to better our record haul of five medals — a tally achieved in Sochi in 2014 and matched four years later in Pyeongchang. 

So we caught up with Robin, 64, to get the lowdown on British medal chances and the international stars to look out for, plus we hear his own Olympic memories and more in our exclusive interview...

Who are you looking forward to seeing in the figure skating this Winter Olympics? 
Robin says: "The men’s reigning champion, Yuzuru Hanyu of Japan, is going for a third consecutive gold medal. He is a very cool, calm, and collected skater and something of an enigma. He has said he’ll attempt the first quadruple axel ever seen in competition, which would be incredible. He attempted the jump — the hardest in the sport — when winning the Japanese championship in December and he wasn’t far off making it." 

Would you have been capable of such a jump in your prime? 
Robin says: [Starts giggling] "Please tell your readers that I am laughing at the very idea of this! I never even did a triple axel in competition, let alone a quadruple. The changes that have taken place in figure skating in the past 10 years have been mind-boggling. These days, skaters aged nine are able to perform the same elements I did when I won the Olympics. It’s like a walk in the park for them."

Team GB has a great chance at curling?
Robin says: "Remember when it seemed like the whole nation stayed up to watch Rhona Martin led the British women’s curling team to gold in 2002? This year, we have a great chance with mixed doubles pair Bruce Moat and Jennifer Dodd who go into the Games as reigning world champions, plus the men's team led by Bruce and women's skippered by Eve Muirhead."

Which Brit should we look out for on the ski slopes?
Robin says: "Scottish skier Kirsty Muir is just 17 and appearing in her first Winter Olympics. She enjoyed a glittering junior career and will be Team GB’s youngest athlete in Beijing. There’s a similar vibe around Kirsty as there was around teen skateboarder Sky Brown in the Tokyo Olympics last year."

How about Bobsleigh?
Robin says: "Brad Hall will pilot Team GB in the four-man bob and the two-man bob, and his teams enter the Games ranked fourth and fifth in the world respectively. Olympic long jump gold medallist Greg Rutherford was hoping to make his Winter Games debut after switching to bobsleigh, but his four-man team failed to qualify."

Astonishingly, it’s 42 years since you won Olympic gold in Lake Placid. Do you ever watch your performance? 
Robin says: "Forty Two years! Thanks for the reminder! I’ve still never watched footage of the whole performance that day. I have a very clear vision in my head of how it played out for me and my family who were at the venue — and I want to keep that intact. I remember watching the Union flag being raised and seeing my family and coaches cheering. That’s my memory of the Olympics, even more so than the result."

How much skating are you doing at the moment?
Robin says: "I still like to keep my feet wet. I choreographed another Holiday on Ice production last year, but we only managed one week in Belgium in September before we had to cancel the tour because of Covid restrictions. Fingers crossed we’ll be able to resume later this year."

Have you ever tried your hand at any of the other Winter Olympics events?
Robin says: "I am a speed freak so I’ve always enjoyed downhill skiing. I would love to find time in my schedule to get on the slopes when I am in China."

Of course, the downside of you being out there is that you won’t be able to watch Dancing On Ice 2022…
Robin says: "I had a great time when I was a judge on the show, working with Jayne and Chris. It’s a reality show, but it has a big impact on getting families on the ice, and getting kids interested in taking up skating – whether it’s figure skating or speed skating. Team GB’s Lewis Gibson, who’ll be competing in the ice dance, was inspired to take up the sport by watching Dancing on Ice, so that shows how effective it is."

Dancing On Ice 2022 viewers were left irritated during last night’s show (Sunday, Jan. 30) as they demanded for a screaming woman in the audience to be removed from the studio.

As the remaining skaters took to the ice to perform their themed routines for Movie Week, fans found themselves distracted by loud screaming in the audience, with some even saying that they had to turn down the volume on their TVs.

Annoyed Twitter users fumed for the screaming to stop and begged for the culprit to be removed as it put them off watching...

Viewers were also not impressed with the decision to eliminate Ria Hebden from the show last night.

Ria was the second celebrity to leave the show, following rugby star Ben Foden, whose elimination was also met with grief from the public, especially from his wife who slammed the show for being “pointless” and unfair,” and branding it a “popularity competition.”

Ria found herself in the dreaded skate-off once again with S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens who made her skating debut last night after suffering from an injury that forced her out of the live show last Sunday, Jan. 23.

Unfortunately, this week also saw Olympic BMX star Kye Whyte unable to perform due to spraining his knee during training.

TV Presenter Ria put on a spectacular performance with her professional partner Lukasz Rozycki as they skated to Into the Unknown from Frozen 2, with Ria dressed up as Elsa. 

The judges scored Ria an impressive 26.0 points, alongside Coronation Street legend Sally Dynevor who also received the same for her performance to The Trolley Song from Meet Me In St. Louis.

Singer Kimberly Wyatt topped the leader board with 34.0 points as she skated to The Greatest Show from The Greatest Showman and Regan Gascoigne came second with 33.5 points, impressing the audience and judges yet again with his rendition of Singin’ In The Rain from the movie Singin’ In The Rain.

Kye Whyte has been injured so badly in training for Dancing On Ice he's been forced to miss this week's show. Kye has sustained a sprain to his knee and the Dancing on Ice medical professionals have advised he does not perform in this weekend’s show. 

A spokesperson for Dancing On Ice has revealed: “During rehearsals for this Sunday’s show, Kye fell on the ice and sustained an injury and will therefore not perform in this weekend’s show.”

Kye Whyte is understandably gutted to be missing out on performing with his 'Dancing On Ice' pro partner Tippy Packard. “It’s an unfortunate accident," he says. "I’ve trained and worked hard with Tippy to perform this weekend. For me, as an athlete, I’m used to stuff like this happening where you get injured and can’t compete. I’m more sad for Tippy, she’s worked hard so not being able to skate is obviously upsetting. We both really wanted to do this number, it’s a cool performance and we put a lot of effort into it. 

“I was so happy and excited for everyone when they skated last weekend. I was watching and couldn’t wait to skate this Sunday. I’ll be there cheering everyone on!”

Dancing On Ice 2022 has already been hit by an injury crisis when singer Rachel Stevens was also forced to withdraw from a show due to a fractured wrist.

More about 'Dancing On Ice' star Kye Whyte

Kye made history at last year's Tokyo Olympics when he became Great Britain's first-ever BMX Olympic silver medalist. He was the ninth celebrity to be announced joining Dancing On Ice in 2022. 

South Londoner Kye had started riding BMX at the age of three at Brixton BMX Club in Brockwell park. Later, alongside his brothers Daniel and Tre Whyte Tre he joined Peckham BMX Club as a youngster. The club was co-founded by his father Nigel and was also where Kye got his nickname the 'Prince of Peckham'.

Both Tre and Kye went on to become members of the Team GB cycling team. Kye suffered a crash shortly after first joining the British Cycling talent group, which led to him spending five days in an induced coma and unable to ride for a year. So Kye is no stranger to setbacks and this injury in Dancing On Ice will probably make him want to return stronger than ever.

Dancing On Ice 2022 contestant and rugby star Ben Foden was the first to be eliminated from the competition on Sunday Jan, 23 and his wife, Jackie Smith Foden, was not happy with the results, branding the show “unfair” and “pointless” in an Instagram story.

Jackie began the post with a heartfelt message full of praise to her husband, saying that: “So my thoughts on last night…(you all knew the rant was coming) I’m so so proud of you Benny, I couldn’t love you more. You are a beautiful person inside and out, I’m so proud of how far you pushed yourself, I know you put your heart and soul into the show

“I wish I got to see you develop even more and wish we could have seen how far you could have gotten in the skill of skating. But I’m so proud of you regardless, you did your best and you were awesome.”

Jackie then accused the show of being a “popularity competition” instead of a “skate competition,” saying that the “worst skater” remains in the show.

“As for the show, what’s the point of saying it’s a skate competition when it’s really just a popularity competition. Why divide the skaters into two weeks, groups of your choosing, and why not judge all their scores together after the two weeks. What's the point of getting a bunch of people together and then not judging them all together afterwards” the post read.

“And what’s the point of having a judging panel when it’s all down to a public vote. That’s not a skate competition, it’s a popularity competition. What’s the point of anyone doing this even really practicing and trying to learn, if you’re just going to be judged on your popularity?”

She continued: "It's a bit unfair, and we're a bit sad, the worst skater wasn't the first to go, I don't really see the point. Yes, it's how the show makes money but maybe leave the public vote for the save me skate offs or something? Otherwise it's just kind of pointless to even try."

Despite her disappointment, she reflected on how Regan Gascoigne’s incredible performance “blew her socks off” and that she was glad to see Ria Hebden remain in the competition. 

She finished the post off with: “And I’m glad we get to go home to NYC sooner!! Had my fair share of England for a while, time to get back to the real world and get our lives back. Thanks for all the support and love!!”
