Max Thieriot reprises his role as young convict Bode Leone who joins a prison release firefighting program in a bid to shorten his sentence. This time, Bode is a free man as he continues his journey towards redemption in his hometown, all while battling huge wildfires across Northern California.

In Fire Country season 4, Station 42 faces internal turmoil following the Zabel Ridge fire, but they must band together for a dangerous rescue that tests their strength, loyalty and the future of the firehouse.

Suits LA

This Suits spin-off takes us to the cutthroat world of Los Angeles entertainment and criminal law. The legal drama, which debuts on C4 streaming on 1 July, follows Ted Black (Stephen Amell), a former federal prosecutor from New York who has reinvented himself as a power player in LA, representing the city’s most influential and dangerous clients.

The series was a big hit with What To Watch writer Sarabeth Pollock as she wrote in her Suits LA review that it's "flashy, entertaining and it delivers on all fronts, with lots of promise for the future of the Suits universe."

Silo season 3

One of the best Apple TV shows is back as the third season of dystopian drama Silo debuts on 3 July. The book-to-screen adaptation tells the story of 10,000 people living in an underground silo under mysterious circumstances, while revealing an origin story set centuries earlier.

The official synopsis of season 3 reveals: "In the present, Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson) survives her forced 'cleaning' but returns with memory loss as the silo recovers from rebellion and faces a dangerous new threat. Meanwhile, in the 'Before Times,' journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) uncover a conspiracy that pulls them into a chain of events with catastrophic, irreversible consequences."

Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2

The hit Netflix adaptation of the beloved Nickelodeon cartoon is back for a second season on 25 June. After saving the Northern Water Tribe from the invading Fire Nation, Avatar Aang (Gordon Cormier) and his 'Gaang' — Katara (Kiawentiio), and Sokka (Ian Ousley), have another battle on their hands. This time, the crew go on a mission to convince the Earth King to help them in their fight against Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim).

The Bear season 5

There's more culinary chaos in the final season of critically acclaimed dramedy The Bear, which picks up after Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richie and Natalie “Sugar” (Abby Elliott) discover that Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) has walked away from the restaurant and left them to run the business. The new partners must try to earn a Michelin star with no money, the threat of a sale and a torrential storm in their way. Although they soon realise that what makes a restaurant “perfect” might not be the food, but the people.

The Bear season 5 has its last service on Disney+ on 26 June.

House of the Dragon season 3

Betrayal and bloodshed await as House of the Dragon season 3 swoops onto our screens on 22 June. In the third instalment of the Game of Thrones prequel, Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy) is confident of peace after agreeing a deal with her arch-enemy Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) that will allow her to waltz into King's Landing unchallenged.

Unfortunately, her plans soon turn to ash as she fears for the life of her son Prince Jacaerys Velaryon (Harry Collett) in the Battle of the Gullet. Happy Valley star James Norton joins the cast as fearsome new foe and Alicent's cousin Ormond, while Matt Smith returns as Daemon Targaryen.

Power Book III: Raising Kanan season 5

The final season of Power Book III: Raising Kanan hits MGM+ on 13 June, with Mekai Curtis and Patina Miller reprising their roles as Kanan Stark and Raquel "Raq" Thomas one last time in the prequel Power series.

The hit crime drama explores a teenage Kanan Stark (played by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson in the original series) and his entry into the drug business with his mother, Raquel Thomas.

It's John Nolan's (Nathan Fillion) last shift as The Rookie season 8 comes to an end on 16 June. UK comedy drama Doc Martin has got the US reboot treatment with Sky One's Best Medicine on 9 June. The original series featured Martin Clunes as the blunt but brilliant GP Martin Ellingham at work in the fictional Cornish village of Portwenn.

Now, this 13-part American adaptation sees Josh Charles play Martin Best, who develops a blood phobia and leaves his career as a surgeon in Boston to become the general practitioner for the fishing town of Port Wenn, Maine. However, his abrupt bedside manner quickly rubs the locals up the wrong way. Martin Clunes also guest stars as Dr Martin Best’s father, Dr Robert Best.

Ramón Rodríguez reprises his role as Special Agent Will Trent in the fourth season of the hit police procedural series.

Based on Karin Slaughter's novels of the same name, Will Trent is a Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) detective who was abandoned at birth and had a tumultuous youth growing up in Atlanta's foster care system. Now, he uses his unique point of view to ensure nobody is abandoned like he was and has the highest clearance rate in the GBI.

Cape Fear

The 27th season of hit police procedural Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is coming to UK soil on Sky Witness on 25 May. In this new instalment of the iconic Dick Wolf franchise, Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) continues to lead her elite team of NYPD detectives in tackling some of the most harrowing crimes, including sexual abuse and domestic violence.

Set in the world of For All Mankind, this new sci-fi thriller is an "alt-history" of the space race. Apple TV transforms the historical event into a "propulsive paranoid thriller that takes us back to the key moment in the alt-history retelling of the space race — when the Soviet Union became the first nation to put a man on the moon."

Star City takes us behind the Iron Curtain as it offers a what-if take on the global space race from the Soviet Union perspective, where the cosmonauts, engineers and intelligence officers on the Soviet space program all took risks to propel humankind forward.

Set to premiere on May 29, the Star City cast features Rhys Ifans, Anna Maxwell Martin, Agnes O’Casey and Alice Englert.

The Four Seasons season 2

Following on from season one's tragic twist, The Four Seasons season 2 sees the six old friends continue their tradition of holidaying together — but this time with a baby in tow.

Convinced she witnessed a crime, Paula begins her own investigation — all while struggling through a custody battle and an identity crisis.

Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser dust off their boots as they reprise their roles as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler in this Yellowstone spin-off series, which airs on Paramount+ on May 15.

Nemesis

This bold Netflix crime drama stars Matthew Law as Detective Isaiah Stiles, an LAPD cop who is hellbent on taking down criminal mastermind, Coltrane Wilder (Y'lan Noel) after he commits a string of heists. What comes next is a daring game of cat-and-mouse, but only one can come out on top.

Citadel season 2

Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Stanley Tucci are throwing themselves into more exciting espionage as they reprise their roles for the second season of Prime Video's hit spy series Citadel on May 6.

The trio return as elite operatives Mason Kane, Nadia Sinh and Bernard Orlick who work for a global spy agency that was destroyed by a powerful syndicate eight years ago. The Disney+ Star Wars spin-off The Book of Boba Fett is coming to ITVX on April 29. Set within the timeline of The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett centres on the titular bounty hunter (Temuera Morrison) and mercenary Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) as they navigate the criminal underbelly of the Star Wars universe and fight for Jabba the Hutt's old territory.

Richard Gadd’s Baby Reindeer follow-up sees childhood friends reunite with devastating consequences. Gadd created, wrote and stars in the new drama alongside Jamie Bell, playing childhood friends Ruben and Niall, once as close as brothers, now navigating adulthood apart. But, when Ruben turns up at Niall’s wedding 30 years on from their days as carefree youngsters, it’s clear he’s changed — on edge, shifty and far from his old self, it’s not long before things build to an explosion of violence which leaves the pair reassessing their decades old friendship.

Delving back in to Ruben and Niall’s relationship from the 80s to present day, Half Man explores male relationships and toxic masculinity through the lenses of violence, brotherhood and love and looks at just how fragile these seemingly unbreakable bonds can really be, with Mitchell Robertson (Niall) and Stuart Campbell (Ruben) portraying the younger iterations of the pair.

Much of Gadd’s previous work has explored masculinity, particularly Netflix sensation Baby Reindeer, but Half Man points the lens straight at what it means to be a man in the modern world. “All of my stories explore human feelings, but this time, I wanted to come up with an idea that explores what it means to be a man in this ever-changing world through these two characters” says the writer, “I think that much of how society has been structured can lead to men having an inability to express themselves and express love and vulnerability, so it felt interesting to posit that conversation through Niall and Ruben.”

The fifth season of For All Mankind makes its way to Apple TV and with Happy Valley now a thriving colony in the years since the Goldilocks asteroid heist, friction builds between those who live on Mars and the people on their former home.

Now time-jumping to the 2010s, the 10-part space drama sees the nations of Earth demanding law and order on the Red Planet, as they seek to gain control. Cross S2 finale

Season two of Prime Video's edge-of-your-seat thriller, based on James Patterson’s best-selling book series, builds to a dramatic climax this week. But will gifted homicide detective and forensic psychologist Alex Cross (Aldis Hodge) catch vigilante Rebecca/Luz (Jeanine Mason)?

The investigation has taken Cross and his team to Chicago and Texas in pursuit of the killer. Will he crack the case?

He’s already come face-to-face with the murderer and deciphered her Mexican-inspired Kill List, but she managed to evade capture by double-crossing him. So now it’s a race against time to stop her campaign of vengeance against billionaire Lance Durand (Matthew Lillard) and the other human traffickers that murdered her mother.

No decision has yet been made on a season three renewal. But showrunner Ben Watkins has spoken previously about having a four-season plan in mind.

The final episode is available on Prime Video from Wednesday, March 18.

Imperfect Women

Executive produced by and starring Elisabeth Moss and Kerry Washington, Apple TV’s eight-part limited series centres on a crime that destroys the lives of three women who have been friends for decades.

The psychological thriller is based on Araminta Hall’s novel of the same name and covers themes of guilt and retribution, love and betrayal as well as decisions and compromises that forever change the course of people’s lives.

The drama also features Kate Mara, Joel Kinnaman, Leslie Odom Jr, Audrey Zahn, Jill Wagner, Rome Flynn, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Violette Linnz, Indiana Elle, Jackson Kelly, Keith Carradine, Ana Ortiz and Wilson Bethel.

The Affair

After decades of anticipation, Patricia Cornwell’s best-selling book series finally makes it to the small screen. Prime Video’s forensic crime thriller stars Nicole Kidman as Dr Kay Scarpetta, a highly skilled medical examiner who’s determined to identify a serial killer, and to prove that her career-making case from almost 30 years ago isn’t going to undo all her hard work.

Set across two timelines, the eight-part drama also stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Bobby Cannavale, Simon Baker and Ariana DeBose.

Virgin River

Season six’s wedding(s) finale was a long time coming after two years of Jack (Martin Henderson) and Melinda’s (Alexandra Breckenridge) engagement. The Rookie season 8

FBI season 8

Two of the best cop shows collide as Juliana Aidén Martinez joins the cast of FBI season 8 as Special Agent Eva Ramos, after previously playing Detective Kate Silva in Law & Order: SVU.

Grosse Point Garden Society

Garden clubs are supposed to be a peaceful retreat, but not for the Grosse Pointe Garden Society. In this drama, four suburban garden club members get their green fingers dirty with a murder mystery.

Alice (AnnaSophia Robb), Catherine (Aja Naomi King), Brett (Ben Rappaport), and Birdie (Melissa Fumero) get rid of the evidence by burying the body in their own garden. However, "as dark truths begin to rot their lives under the surface, they struggle to remain as perfect as the flowers blooming in their garden above.”

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

An epic new adventure awaits in Westeros with the Game of Thrones spin-off A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which is inspired by George RR Martin’s trio of Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas.

This new addition to the hit fantasy franchise is set around a century before the events of the original saga and 100 years after the first prequel series, House of the Dragon. The six-parter follows knight Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey) and his squire Prince Aegon "Egg" Targaryen (Dexter Sol Ansell) as they navigate dangerous exploits in a world where the Targaryen family still hold the Iron Throne, but have lost the dragons that made them so respected.

The Beauty

The Beauty is yet another dark creation from the mind of TV hitmaker Ryan Murphy which asks the question: Would you willingly contract a sexually transmitted disease if you knew it would make you beautiful?

Following on from his recent success of Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story and Grotesquerie, The Beauty is inspired by the comic book series of the same name and features an all-star cast of Evan Peters, Ashton Kutcher, Jeremy Pope, Anthony Ramos, and Rebecca Hall. Also making guest appearances are Bella Hadid, Billy Eichner, Meghan Trainor and Ben Platt.

The official plot synopsis reads: "When international supermodels begin dying in gruesome and mysterious ways, FBI Agents Cooper Madsen (Evan Peters) and Jordan Bennett (Rebecca Hall) uncover a conspiracy that threatens the future of humanity. The investigation leads them directly into the crosshairs of The Corporation (Ashton Kutcher), who will stop at nothing to protect his trillion-dollar empire."

Evil seasons 1-4

If you want to start the new year with a spooky series, then look no further as all four seasons of Evil are coming to Sky Box Sets and NOW on January 4.

The hit supernatural drama sees sceptical psychologist Kristen Bouchard (Katja Herbers) join forces with priest-to-be David Acosta (Mike Colter) and tech expert Ben Shakir (Aasif Mandvi) to investigate supernatural phenomenon's in the church, including "supposed miracles, demonic possessions and other extraordinary occurrences."

Soon, Sophie is drawn into their world of dangerous secrets, obsession, and murder when a teenage girl is found dead in the woods — but who pulled the fatal trigger?

Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2

Another epic quest awaits for the titular demigod in Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2. The Disney Plus show, based on Rick Riordan's iconic fantasy novels, will return on December 10 and sees Percy (Walker Scobell) take on the choppy seas to rescue his friend.

This time, the second season will be adapting Riordan's second novel, The Sea of Monsters, where Percy goes on a quest through this location to save Grover (Aryan Simhadri) and Camp Half-Blood.

The Abandons

Saddle up for a Western showdown between Gillian Anderson and Lena Headey as The Abandons rides on to Netflix on December 4. Set in the Washington Territory in 1854, this dusty drama follows the matriarchs of two very different families - the wealthy Van Nesses led by Constance (Gillian Anderson, and the Abandons, a found family of orphans and outcasts protected by Fiona Nolan (Lena Headey).

The families find themselves linked by "two crimes, an awful secret, a star-crossed love, and a piece of land with silver underneath. The collision echoes the American struggle of the haves and have-nots, in a place just beyond the reach of justice."

Doc season 2

The doors of Westside Hospital are swinging back open for Dr. Amy Larsen (Molly Parker) in Doc season 2. The medical drama continues the story of brilliant physician Amy as she tries to rebuild her life after a car crash caused her to forget the last eight years of her life.

As Amy attempts to become the doctor she once was, she will come face-to-face with challenging truths about her missing years and try to repair fractured relationships. In this week's episode, which airs on Sky Witness on December 3, Amy grapples with having memories while treating a mother-to-be with a mysterious condition, and Amy's mentor Dr. Joan Ridley (Felicity Huffman) visits Westside.

Pluribus

After creating the critically acclaimed Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, Vince Gilligan has another TV masterpiece on his hands with Pluribus. The Apple TV sci-fi show centres on Carol Sturka (Rhea Seehorn) and a small group of others who are immune to a virus that has transformed humanity into a happy, hive mind. This collective consciousness known as "the Others" are on a mission to assimilate Carol and the individuals to join them, forcing her to save humanity from its own bliss.

Episode 6 airs on December 5 and it's worth watching purely for Seehorn's performance of the cynical novelist. Caryn James writes in her BBC review: "Seehorn's empathetic performance is both dramatic and witty, grounding the sci-fi plot in her visceral, fearful, determined reactions."

Stranger Things season 5

We're heading back to the Upside Down as the final season of Netflix's sci-fi juggernaut Stranger Things premieres with the first four episodes on November 27 in the UK. After nearly ten years of suffering Vecna's reign of terror, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and the gang must unite to find and kill the monstrous creature.

It's the fall of 1987 and Vecna has vanished — but that's not the only obstacle complicating their mission. With Hawkins placed under military quarantine and Eleven on the run from the government, the group must come together for a deadly showdown one last time.

Hawkeye

Hawkeye never misses, so you shouldn't miss this six-part series coming to ITVX on November 23. Available to watch as a box set, this Marvel show has a festive twist as it focuses on the iconic Avenger, Hawkeye aka Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) and his mission to get back to his family for Christmas.

Helping him to do this is Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a superhero. As per the official synopsis: "The pair are forced to work together when a presence from Clint's past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit."

Watson season 1

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are one of the most iconic duos of all time, but this series puts a different spin on the trusty sidekick. In Watson, the beloved character (played by Morris Chestnut) is at the heart of the action and takes place six months after his partner Sherlock dies at the hands of Moriarty.

The official plot reads: "The show stars Morris Chestnut as Dr. John Watson, who resumes his medical career as the head of a clinic dedicated to treating rare disorders. Watson’s old life isn’t done with him, though — Moriarty and Watson are set to write their own chapter of a story that has fascinated audiences for more than a century. Watson is a medical show with a strong investigative spine, featuring a modern version of one of history’s greatest detectives as he turns his attention from solving crimes to solving medical mysteries.”

Taylor Sheridan's creative reign over Paramount Plus continues with Landman season 2, which premieres on November 16. The rural American drama is based on the podcast Boomtown and focuses on the 21st century Texas oil boom in the Permian Basin.

Landman features Billy Bob Thornton as oilman Tommy Norris, who is reaching breaking point in the second season as he faces mounting pressure from M-Tex Oil, Cami Miller (Demi Moore) and the shadow of his kin. As per the logline: "Survival in West Texas isn't noble — it's brutal. And sooner or later something's got to break."

Doc season 1

Doc puts a unique spin on the medical drama genre with this remake of a popular Italian series. It tells the story of Dr. Amy Larsen (Molly Parker), a high-ranking doctor who is forced to contend with a brain injury that erases eight years of her life. Not only does that mean she forgets patients and medical developments, but she also has no recollection of her recent divorce, her child growing up into a teenager, and another major tragedy.

The heart-pounding finale, which sees a mass casualty event require all hands-on deck at Westside Hospital, airs on Sky Witness on November 19.

Mayor of Kingstown has been re-elected on Paramount Plus as season 4 of the hit crime thriller airs on October 26. Co-created by Yellowstone's Taylor Sheridan, Mayor of Kingstown season 4 once again follows Mike McLusky (Jeremy Renner) as he tries to maintain order in the corrupt town.

According to the official synopsis, Mayor of Kingstown season 4 sees "Mike's control over Kingstown threatened as new players compete to fill the power vacuum left in the Russians’ wake, compelling him to confront the resulting gang war and stop them from swallowing the town. Tales of the Walking Dead

Although The Walking Dead came to an end in 2022, it's come back to life in the UK with Tales of the Walking Dead — and even better that the first two episodes drop on Sky Max on October 31, making it perfect Halloween viewing.

This latest spin-off takes us to Nashville, where we follow the heroic first responders and their family sagas of power and glamour in one of America's most diverse and dynamic cities. A new cast is at the centre of the high-octane drama this time, with Chris O'Donnell, Jessica Capshaw, LeAnn Rimes and Kimberly Williams-Paisley all set to star.

The Hunting Party

U&Alibi has added another crime drama to its sprawling library with The Hunting Party, which airs on October 22. The official synopsis reads: "A high-concept crime procedural about a small team of investigators who are assembled to track down and capture the most dangerous killers our country has ever seen, all of whom have just escaped from a top-secret prison that’s not supposed to exist." Melissa Roxburgh leads the team as Rebecca "Bex" Henderson, a former FBI profiler who is battling with a mysterious conspiracy and her complex past.

The hit crime-solving CBS franchise NCIS has now reached UK soil as NCIS: Origins lands on 5USA on October 13. With its various spinoffs such as NCIS: Sydney and NCIS: New Orleans, there have been more than a thousand episodes — now there's more to add to the list with this spin-off.

NCIS: Origins is a prequel series that explores the backstory of the iconic character Leroy Jethro Gibbs. Boots season 1

Inspired by former US Marine Greg Cope’s memoir, The Pink Marine, Netflix’s Boots stars Miles Heizer (13 Reasons Why) as bullied, gay high-school student Cameron Cope.

It's 1990, when it was still illegal to be gay in the military, and this comedic drama follows troubled Cameron as he impulsively decides to join the Marine Corps in the hope it’ll turn him into a ‘real man’. And he’s not going it alone. Alongside him is his straight best friend Ray McAffey (Liam Oh), who’s following in the footsteps of his own father, a decorated military man.

Joining a diverse group of recruits at boot camp, for Cameron’s sexuality to be revealed would mean a prison sentence – or worse. This coming-of-age eight-parter promises a lot of heart and sharp wit as it navigates friendship and resilience. It also stars Vera Farmiga (Bates Motel) as Cameron’s narcissistic mother, Barbara.

The Last Frontier season 1

If you love high-octane, stunt-filled dramas with things exploding, then Apple TV+’s The Last Frontier is a must-see.

When a prison transport plane crashes in the Alaskan wilderness, chaos ensues, and it’s up to Frank Remnick (Jason Clarke) as the sole US marshal in charge of the area, to deal with the unprecedented situation.

And it soon becomes clear that this was no accident. With 11 convicts captured and 18 missing, Remnick learns that an unscheduled pick-up was made to collect a prisoner known as Havelock. When boarding the plane, he was hooded and restrained, but it seems he may have known what was about to happen. And this is his one shot at freedom.

It’s a race against time as the town and its residents come under threat. But what exactly does Havelock may have had planned?

The 10-part series begins with a two-episode drop, followed by weekly episodes and the ensemble cast includes Dominic Cooper, Haley Bennett, Simone Kessell, Dallas Goldtooth, Tait Blum and Alfre Woodard.

Twisted Metal, season 1

Having previously aired on Paramount+, this action comedy that’s based on a PlayStation game, now arrives free-to-air on BBC One, with two episodes a week.

Set in a post-apocalyptic US – now known as the Divided States Of America, with cities having become walled fortresses – it stars John Mackie (Captain America) as John Doe, a very chatty milkman who not only has amnesia, but also a strange past. This outsider is offered the chance of a better life by Raven (Neve Campbell) if he agrees to retrieve a mysterious package. But his mission takes him into terrifying territories, and he encounters some dangerous characters, including a sinister clown known as Sweet Tooth.

Waterloo Road season 16 is here - and the big news for the new series is that stand-up comedian Jon Richardson is joining the cast.

Waterloo Road season 16 opens its doors for a new term on Tuesday, 23 September, when eight brand-new episodes land on BBC iPlayer.

Those who want to watch the series terrestrially are in for a treat as, each Tuesday, two episodes will be shown on BBC1 at 9pm, then again at 10.40pm. That's Tuesday nights sorted!

Waterloo Road season 16 cast

The big news for Series 16 of Waterloo Road is that stand-up comedian Jon Richardson is joining the cast.

The star of Meet the Richardsons and 8 Out of 10 Cats had everyone stumped when he announced via his social media earlier this year that he’d be quitting comedy to become a teacher.

There was some truth to his April Fool’s Day prank, however, when the BBC later revealed Jon was going back to school as media studies teacher, Darius Donovan.

"I'd mentioned to producers that I'd found a genuine old diary entry where, aged 15, I’d written: 'I'd love to be a comedian, but I'll probably end up being a teacher' and that’s how that prank video came about,’ Jon, 42, tells What To Watch, who joins regular cast members Lindsey Coulson as head teacher Dame Stella Drake, Adam Thomas as caretaker turned PE teacher Donte Charles, with Jason Merrells back as show favourite Jack Rimmer, in his new position as school counsellor.

"My first day on set was the most scared I've been since I started doing stand-up - but Lindsey, Jason, Adam and others were so kind. What a privilege to be in that cast - it’s like warming up for five-a-side and getting straight into the England team!"

Alongside Jon, Waterloo Road's other new faces include Fintan Buckard and Savannah Kunyo will play Stella's grandchildren, Ben and Hope, while Christine Bottomley appears later in the run as their mum - and Stella's troubled daughter Sam Drake.

The Other One's Christopher Jeffers jumps on board as Mitch Swift, the new SenCo (Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator) lead.

Which other show favourites are returning?

Returning staff include James Baxter as languages teacher Joe Casey, Jo Coffey as Stella's PA Wendy Whitwell, Kym Marsh as dinner lady Nicky Walters and Hollie-Jay Bowes as Nicky's sister Debs Rafferty.

What do we know about the plot for Series 16?

Well, it seems new boy Darius is marking his territory the minute he arrives at Waterloo Road.

"We first see Darius taking drugs in his car then walking into school - that tells you all you need to know about him as a person," explains Jon. "A womanising sociopath, Darius comes from a military background and sees Waterloo Road as somewhere to put roots down. Early on, however, he’s caught up in a dog-eat-dog scenario that could go one of two ways: either he loses his job or someone else does, so Darius does what he needs to do to survive - and doesn’t feel guilty about it."

Surely that kind of behaviour will come back to bite him?

"Darius always believes he’s just a good guy trying to make the best of bad situations," reveals Jon. "But, later, something truly awful happens - he makes a huge mistake and doesn’t mean for it to spiral as badly as it does. He’s then chasing his own tail, trying to cover it up. Darius is fun to play because he’s confrontational, direct, brave and bold - all things I don't think I am."

What's happening elsewhere?

Stella is distracted as she struggles to integrate her estranged grandkids, Ben and Hope, at the school. With their mother Sam still in hospital, Stella is under pressure to bring her A game at home and at school - but runs into problems when Hope makes a decision that has life-threatening consequences...

"As a grandmother myself, I know you must be extra vigilant when caring for somebody else’s child," says Lindsey Coulson, who plays Stella. "For Stella to know she hadn't been, isn’t a place you’d ever want to go to. Filming those scenes was emotional."

Meanwhile, Cat Guthrie and Izzy Charles lock horns over new boy Ben, as Schuey Weever and Agnes Eccleston cause uproar when they rebel against Stella’s 'inclusive' new rules. And as Jack Rimmer returns as School Counsellor, does he have what it takes to tackle the troubles of a new generation on his first day.

Does Jack form a friendship with new boy Darius?

Darius and Jack bond, yes, over their shared histories of dealing with addiction, as Jon explains...

"Jack has had his problems with addiction and has gone away and dealt with them, Darius feels he’s on top of his own demons, so sees Jack as a kindred spirit - but the pair eventually clash," he says.

"People might be able to understand Darius defending himself when backed into a corner - but what he does to Jack is unforgivable and they’ll begin to hope Darius gets a taste of his own medicine."

Plot

All is not well between the dynamic duo when we join them. Lu has started her own investigation business. "Obviously, it's Lu’s fault," says Mark. Jo: "No, it’s Frank’s fault! We’ve always felt they’re like a couple who’ve been married for 30 odd years - they missed all the romance and went straight to the low-level bickering. The idea is it finally broke them and Lu stormed off and now she’s got herself a nice, bright office full of young people."

Mark adds, “Frank doesn’t want him and Lu to be apart, but he’s so stubborn. He’s always been scruffy but, without her, his whole world disintegrates.”

It’s not good news for their assistant Sebastian, who ends up secretly working for both of them! Jo explains: “Yes, poor Sebastian is running between the two of them, and they both think he’s sided with them! Lu and Frank end up working the same case for two different clients, and they eventually realise that two minds are better than one."

The first case involves feuding married social influencers.

After his terrifying takes on Jeffrey Dahmer and Lyle and Erik Menendez, Murphy's latest project focuses on convicted murderer and suspected serial killer Ed Gein (Charlie Hunnam).

Gein, also known as 'The Butcher of Plainfield,' terrorised rural Wisconsin and confessed to killing two women between 1954-1957. His crimes went on to inspire a number of classic horror films, such as The Silence of the Lambs, Psycho and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

Netflix reveals that it's the "most harrowing instalment yet" as "Monster: The Ed Gein Story tells the story of how one simple man in Plainfield, Wisconsin, became history’s most singular ghoul. He revealed to the world the most horrific truth of all — that monsters aren’t born, they’re made... by us."

The Rookie season 7

Although nothing seems to be stopping cop John Nolan (Nathan Fillion), it can't be said for The Rookie season 7 as it concludes on Sky Witness on September 30.

The Rookie follows forty-year-old John, who moves to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of joining the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). As their oldest rookie, he's met with disbelief by colleagues who view him as a walking midlife crisis and must navigate the challenges of being a cop.

What To Watch writer Terrell Smith writes that: "The series has become ABC's premier crime procedural and continues to wow viewers who clamour for more." So it's good news that The Rookie has since been renewed for another season.

Billy the Kid season 3

Billy the Kid season 3 gallops its way onto MGM+ on September 28, with Tom Blyth reprising his role as the notorious outlaw for one last ride. This refreshing modern Western story explores the life of Billy the Kid through exciting action, so saddle up as this saga is set to come to an epic conclusion.

Billy and Sheriff Pat Garrett (Alex Roe) have a reckoning to come; meanwhile, "Billy has the opportunity to quit New Mexico altogether and pursue a future with Dulcinea (Nuria Vega), the love of his life. But he has unfinished business with Garrett, who has betrayed him, and decides to stay. Kit Harington is to star in a new four-part adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic A Tale of Two Cities, to be shown on the BBC.

The four-part series will see the Game of Thrones actor joined by François Civil (Beating Hearts, The Three Musketeers) and Mirren Mack (Miss Austen, Hedda).

A Tale of Two Cities will start filming in October, meaning it's likely to hit our screens in late 2026 or 2027.

Setting up the series, the BBC says: "London, 1782. Tensions run high in the war between France and Britain. A young woman, Lucie Manette (Mirren Mack) has her life upended when she receives a message from Paris — her father, assumed dead for almost 20 years, may be alive.

"The messenger — idealistic French emigré, Charles Darnay (François Civil) — is arrested and charged with treason. Lucie enlists the help of a brilliant but erratic young lawyer, Sydney Carton (Kit Harington), to free Darnay in the hope he will lead her to Paris to track down her father.

"Lucie's collision with Darnay and Carton unleashes a powerful and complex love triangle. Both men fight to be worthy of her love, and Lucie is torn over which one to choose. Yet neither man — physically so alike, spiritually poles apart — can escape the other. Instead, they find themselves bound together in life and death, through triumphs, tragedies, marriage, and murder.”

All Creatures Great and Small star Nicholas Ralph has revealed why there's a big time jump in the new season.

The action in season 6 moves forward to May 1945, nearly four years on from the events of the last series, with the conflict drawing to a close.

Nicholas, who plays James Herriot, tells us they were concerned about "getting bogged down" in the war years.

"It felt like we could get bogged down if we kept going through the war years, so this is the beginning of the next chapter in their lives. All of them have changed. But now it's a return to basics, back to veterinary life."

Co-star Rachel Shenton, who plays Helen, also backed the decision. "I was pleased that was what we were doing. Now there is a feeling of hope, and they can look forward and see that there's a world beyond the hell that everyone has lived through."

The big change for James and Helen is that they now have not one but two children.

Rachel explains: "Yes, they've had little Rosie. James and Helen's relationship matures every season, which is gorgeous, and now they’re a family of four, there’s a lot of navigating life but also fun.”

Nicholas adds, "James and Helen love being in each other's company with their kids. And one of the joys for James is that Jimmy is just over four years old now, so he can come on the vet visits with him, like in the opening episode when a lamb is born."

As for what creatures we will be seeing in the new series, which also sees Samuel West back as Siegfried Farnon and Callum Woodhouse as Tristan, Nicholas says: "Well, the miniature horse had the best hair — like [singer] Rod Stewart in his prime! And we have a story regarding a greyhound track, and one lovely whippet was played by a sweet rescue dog called Danny Boy. And we, of course, have Tricki [the pampered Pekinese belonging to Mrs Pumphrey, portrayed by Patricia Hodge] back, too!”

The new series will see Tristan arrive home from serving in Italy with the Royal Army Veterinary Corps, and stalwart housekeeper Mrs Hall (Anna Madeley) has also had some time away.

The Hack is a new 7-part series on ITV that takes a fresh look at the phone hacking scandal that engulfed the News of the World.

Written by BAFTA, Tony and Olivier award-winning screenwriter, Jack Thorne (the man behind Adolescence and Toxic Town), The Hack is produced by the same team who brought us Mr Bates vs The Post Office and boasts an all-star cast including David Tennant, Robert Carlyle and Toby Jones.

The Hack will land on ITV1 on Wednesday, September 24 at 9 pm.

The Hack plot

Set between 2002 and 2012, the series intertwines two real-life storylines, beginning with that of investigative journalist Nick Davies (Rivals’ David Tennant), who receives an anonymous tip-off about the News of the World intercepting private voicemails.

As Nick tenaciously gathers evidence of how the paper was using illicit methods to secure splashy headlines, the drama also examines an investigation by Metropolitan Police detective Dave Cook (The Full Monty’s Robert Carlyle, who appears from Episode 2) into the still-unsolved 1987 murder of private investigator Daniel Morgan.

"Dave’s story was new to me, and we thought it’d be interesting to tell it separately to Nick’s and then twist them together," says BAFTA-winner Jack. "It’s about great journalism and remarkable people who are brave."

How does it feel to be portraying the man who helped uncover one of the UK’s darkest media scandals?
"It’s an honour to be telling Nick’s story. He’s a great investigative journalist because he can smell where the story is and uncover it. He’s like a dog with a bone when he senses injustice, malpractice or deception. The story we tell is that he’s not an uncomplicated individual, but he’s someone who did something very heroic."

Did you meet him?
"We hung out before filming and it was great to get a sense of what motivates him. He fulfilled my expectations. He also visited us on set when I was wearing the wig, which is not a direct copy of how he looks, but a nod in that direction. I think it would be quite odd to see somebody being a spectre of you, but I hope he’s pleased with what we’ve done."

Can you tell us about his dynamic with Alan Rusbridger, played by Toby Jones?
"Jack created that relationship in the way he wrote the two characters, but it’s absolutely based on reality. They have a deference for each other that’s moving. They see how they bring out the best in each other, and playing opposite Toby made that very easy. He’s someone I look up to professionally, and he’s a wonderful, twinkly, warm presence."

"We have a Rolls-Royce of a cast! People who should be leading a series would come in and play roles with relatively little screen time, but they make so many moments sing. Robert is great casting for Dave, too. We’d never met before this, which is weird as we’re both from the homeland."

And what does telling the story from two different angles bring?
"It’s fascinating and bold, but then Jack does bold storytelling like no one else. Nick and Dave’s stories take you on slightly different journeys, until those two journeys collide. Jack found a way in through these two characters who were living separate lives but discovering the same unpleasant truth. It’s thrilling to watch!"

Cosy crime drama Sister Boniface Mysteries is back for fourth season with Lorna Watson reprising her role as the scooter-riding crime-solving nun who knows her way around a Bunsen burner and this time there are eight new mysteries to solve in the picturesque Cotswolds village of Great Slaughter.

Once again, the bespectacled wimple-wearing sleuth, who has her own forensics lab at St Vincent’s Convent, will be assisting DI Sam Gillespie (Max Brown) and DS Felix Livingstone (Jerry Iwu), along with WPC Peggy Button (Ami Metcalf), as they face more baffling murder cases in this new run of the Father Brown spin-off.

Sister Boniface Mysteries season 4 release date

Lorna Watson as Sister Boniface

Lorna plays the forensic-scientist Catholic nun who is a big fan of Agatha Christie, rides about in a motorbike-and-sidecar combination and has a host of other talents that come in handy while solving mysteries in Great Slaughter.

Comedian and actor Lorna Watson first played the forensic-scientist nun in the first series of Father Brown in 2013. She appeared in the second episode of the 10-part run, "The Bride of Christ", which saw her help the sleuthing priest as he investigated the murder of two nuns.

From 2012 to 2013, Lorna and her comedy partner Ingrid Oliver appeared in the sketch show Watson & Oliver on BBC2. They co-wrote the series with Black Books writer Kevin Cecil and comedian and actor Alex Lowe, best known for his comedy character, medium Clinton Baptiste, who first appeared in Phoenix Nights.

Lorna has also appeared in Lead Balloon, Horrible Histories, The IT Crowd, The Catherine Tate Show and Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators.

Max Brown as DI Sam Gillespie

Max plays the detective inspector who has an eye for the ladies – especially journalist Ruth Penny – and relies on Sister Boniface to help him crack cases.

Max made his television debut in 2001, playing heart-throb Danny Hartston in long-running children’s drama Grange Hill.

He went on to have roles in Crossroads, Hollyoaks, Doctors, Casualty, Mistresses, Spooks, Foyle’s War and The Tudors.

In the first Downton Abbey film (2019), he played Richard Ellis, the valet of King George V, who came to stay at the stately home with his wife Queen Mary. Richard was a romantic interest for butler Thomas Barrow.

Jerry Iwu as DS Felix Livingstone

Jerry plays the detective sergeant who travelled from his home country Bermuda to join Scotland Yard in London, but found himself in Great Slaughter by mistake. Initially, he planned to leave as soon as he could, but later couldn’t bring himself to leave the Cotswolds village and its oddball residents.

Jerry’s previous TV credits include 5’s police procedural drama Intruder, ITV1 crime drama Innocent and Netflix hit Sex Education.

He also appeared in the 2017 film Halal Daddy.

Ami Metcalf as WPC Peggy Button

Ami plays woman police constable Peggy Button, who’s often referred to as the best WPC in the county - although the jury’s out if there are any other WPCs in Gloucestershire! She often has to fend off the amorous attentions of her former classmate Norman Whalley, who now works as a news reporter at The Albion Bugle.

Ami rose to fame as Sapphire Cox in BBC1’s long-running soap Doctors and won the Best Dramatic Performance from a Young Actor or Actress at the 2010 British Soap Awards.

She’s also appeared in Bad Education, Call the Midwife, Silent Witness, Father Brown and Birds of a Feather.

Sister Boniface Mysteries season 4 – Other returning cast

The main cast will be joined by the regular supporting cast, which includes Robert Dawes as Chief Constable Lowsley, David Sterne as the indecipherable Tom Thomas, Belinda Lang as B&B owner Mrs Vera Clam, Sarah Crowden as the dotty Miss Dotty Thimble, Jack Gouldbourne as Norman Walley, reporter for local newspaper The Albion Bugle, and Olivia Lovibond as journalist Ruth Penny.

During this fourth season of Sister Boniface Mysteries, a bucking bronco goes haywire on the set of a game show, a killer scarecrow stalks the streets of Great Slaughter and the diva co-star on American action series Foxman plummets to her death in a stunt gone wrong. Meanwhile, Reverend Mother Adrian is hiding a secret about the future of St Vincent’s Convent and CC Lowsley arranges a team-building exercise… Here’s more about the eight-part series.

EPISODE 1 – BIFF! POW! ZAP!

American TV show Foxman is filming its series finale at Lord Matthew Sedgewick’s (Sam Alexander) stately home. Walt North (Dan Skinner) plays Foxman, but he is less than gracious to Brett Hyde (Nathan McMullen), who plays sidekick Beaver, frequently upstaging him. To make matters worse, dedicated producer/director Hank Sawyer (David Bedella) has hired the biggest diva in England to play the Minx, Camilla Cattermole (Elisabeth Dermot Walsh). Camilla is instantly attracted to Sam (Max Brown), but he is drawn to her long-suffering twin sister and stunt double, Jane (also played by Elisabeth Dermot Walsh).

Later, when Camilla insists on doing a stunt on a zipline, the rope snaps and she plummets to her death. Swooping in to investigate, Sister Boniface discovers it was an act of sabotage. By why, and by whom?

EPISODE 2 – A MURDER OF CROWS

It’s the annual Scarecrow Festival in Great Slaughter and the locals proudly display their scarecrows hoping for a chance at nabbing the £500 cash prize.

Martin Hubbard (Tony Gardner) is the favourite to win the annual Scarecrow Festival with his effigy of Winston Churchill and will stop at nothing to come out on top.

Later, however, he’s found dead with a mouth stuffed with straw!

As Sister Boniface and Sam investigate, their main lead is Miss Dotty Thimble, who claims a scarecrow killed Martin.

She may be Dotty by name and dotty by nature, but could Miss Thimble be right? Especially after intrepid reporter Norman Whalley also spots a scarecrow seemingly coming to life.

EPISODE 3 – ARE YE DANCIN’?

Mrs Clam’s (Belinda Lang) sister Jeanie McIntyre (Elaine C Smith) returns to Great Slaughter after decades living in Scotland. She’s planned a surprise birthday ceilidh for Mrs Clam and has travelled down with jovial husband Angus (Gordon Kennedy) and their musician son Callum (Calum Gulvin).

They are joined by the rest of the ceilidh band; the severe John Adams (John Mackay) and his children, Jimmy (Joseph Prowen) and Maggie (Alyth Ross).

After John forbids the siblings from going out for the evening, they sneak out to the pub for a sing-song, but their furious dad soon storms in and drags them away in front of the other punters.

The next morning, John’s body is found slain under the cake table in the village hall…

With a list of suspects, including Angus, Callum, Jimmy and Maggie, to get through, can Sister Boniface locate the murder weapon and identify the killer?

EPISODE 4 – KILLER HEELS

As the launch of Groovy Shoo’s fashionable new go-go boot approaches, the women working in the factory are informed they must work longer hours by tight-fisted owner Arthur Millington (Peter Wight).

Union leader Bernice McDowell (Dani Moseley) complains that they should be paid overtime, but her hard-up friend Daisy Dunn (Amy Murphy) doesn’t want to rock the boat.

When Arthur is later found dead on his office floor, Sister Boniface smells bitter almonds and deduces that he was poisoned!

As the women’s pay dispute leads to a strike, Sister Boniface is hot on the heels of a killer as she must navigate the picket line while trying to find out who murdered Arthur…

EPISODE 5 – LET THE GAMES BEGIN

Game show Let The Games Begin is filming in Great Slaughter and CC Lowsley has his eyes on the cash prize to raise funds for the retired police dog charity.

EPISODE 6 – THERE’S NO ‘I’ IN SLAUGHTER

Sam, Felix and Peggy aren’t exactly cock-a-hoop when they find themselves spending a weekend at an old army base,

It’s been organised by CC Lowsley with ex-cop Len Shepherd (Phil Cornwell) leading them in a series of team-building exercises.

Great Slaughter’s cops will be competing against their Stowington Police rivals, with Lowsley’s enemy, CC Horace Winthrop (Mark McDonnell), leading the team, who he frequently undermines. And it soon becomes clear he has beef with Len, too.

When Winthrop is later found dead, it looks like his death was an accident, but Sister Boniface soon finds evidence to the contrary…

EPISODE 7 – THE HAPPIEST FAMILY

Reverend Mother Adrian surprises the sisters with a wholesome weekend away. However, they soon encounter a group of naked hedonists frolicking in the swimming pool!

The house where they are staying has been double-booked with Charity Gray (Genesis Lynea) having booked her stay to celebrate her birthday with inventor Miles Fletcher (Oliver Dench), hairdresser Vivian Ashbrook (Sophie Ablett) and Dr Saatvik Bose (Jaz Singh Deol).

Surprisingly, the Reverend Mother claims there is room for all and they should continue with their plans.

Sister Reg knows Charity from her pre-nun life in Soho, and she’s not best pleased when her former acquaintance teases her about her past indiscretions.

The next day, when Charity is found dead in her bed, the evidence stacks up against Sister Reg…

EPISODE 8 – AND THEN THERE WERE NUN

It looks like the end of an era for the nuns of St Vincent’s, when Reverend Mother Adrian and Lord Matthew Sedgewick hand over the keys to property developer Ronny Panesar (Alistair Toovey).

As town councillor Lynn Goodwin (Emily Joyce) reveals the model for the new housing development to Ruth Penny, Sam is devastated that this will mean parting company with Sister Boniface.

Meanwhile, Sister Boniface’s heroine, archaeologist Sister Helena (Rachel Bell), wants to document the chapel before the historic interior is ripped out, but a row breaks out between her and Lynn and Ronny, and a few hours later the sister is found bludgeoned to death in the chapel.

Can Sister Boniface catch the killer before the nuns are forced to leave Great Slaughter for good?

Q&A with Lorna Watson, who plays Sister Boniface

Hi Lorna, so you’re back as Sister Boniface, in her habit and wimple…

"Yes. I love the costume. You transform as soon as you put it on. It just changes the way you move and it changes the way you listen because everything's a bit muffled under the wimple. You get used to it but when you take it off at the end of the day, it's like hatching out of an egg. Suddenly you can hear and the world is different! I'm still getting rid of the tan line from the wimple. Even if you wear sun cream, you still get an embarrassing 'nun tan line' on your face! It's not the best, but my hair covers it, which is great."

What can you tell us about the fourth series?

"A lot happens in this series. I'm always amazed by what the writers come up with next. An overarching theme of the series is that all is not what it seems at the convent. There is this slight panic for the Reverend Mother, who goes on quite a journey in this series because it looks like we may lose the convent. She's trying to keep things running smoothly and keep a tight ship, but the nuns are none the wiser up until a certain point. ‘Nun the wiser!’ Ha!"

What can you tell us about some of the mysteries that Sister Boniface is faced with this time around?

"There’s such a diverse range of stories. Opening the series, we have this sort of homage to the 1960s Batman show called Foxman. It’s called Biff! Pow! Zap! It’s about this American series, Foxman, that is shooting its series finale at this stately home in the Cotswolds. And there's a murder, naturally, or we wouldn't bother turning up! We had so much fun filming that episode. Dan Skinner and Nathan McMullen star as the actors Walt North and Brett Hyde, who play Foxman and his sidekick Beaver, and they played those characters so brilliantly. Elisabeth Dermot Walsh [who played Zara in Doctors] plays twins in that episode, too. I don’t know how she did it. It was extraordinary. But yeah, so we had a lot of fun. It was so much fun."

Tell us about some of the other episodes…

"We also have Mrs Clam’s surprise birthday with [Two Doors Down star] Elaine C Smith playing her sister. Then there’s a game show episode where Miss Thimble, Norman Whalley, Mrs Clam and CC Lousey all have to team together, and they have to do various silly things like dancing the tango and so on. Obviously, there’s another murder. Also, the nuns leave the convent. Reverend Mother Adrian's feeling so guilty about everything that's going on, she decides to treat them to a trip. Basically, they arrive at this lovely retreat, only to find it's been double booked, and they have spend their weekend there with these people who are a bunch of people that the nuns wouldn't normally hang out with, let's just say. The nuns end up in a swimming pool at the end, which is something I never thought I’d see on this show!

"There’s also a really lovely episode where the female workers in this boot factory are sick and tired of not having equal pay and the same rights as their male counterparts. They stage a strike, and Mrs Clam gets very vocal on the loud hailer, which is just brilliant!"

Sister Boniface is often seen drifting into a daydream or a trance. Are there more of those moments in this series?

"Yes, those bits are really fun and quirky, and really quite unique. I don't know any other show that does that. But it is a fun way of showing the audience where Sister Boniface’s brain is going, and it’s nice to see it broken down in layman's terms, with visuals to back it up. It’s a good way of showing how she's linking thoughts, linking clues and so on. We don't get an insight into her brain otherwise and it’s nice to show that in a lighthearted way. It’s a little bit of light relief, a bit of silliness. We always enjoy doing them, that's for sure, and just when you think they couldn't get any dafter, they do!"

Talking of silliness, in the first episode, Sister Boniface describes Foxman as a slice of silliness. Do you think that’s a good way of describing Sister Boniface Mysteries as well?

"Yes it does. I'm a big fan of silly. My whole career has been a bit silly, really. And I like the fact that there are contrasts in the show. There are really tender moments, there are dramatic moments, there are edge of your seat moments and there are serious moments. And to sandwich those moments with a slice of silly I think is good for the show. It's nice for the audience, and I think it also is what helps this show have that more palatable. It is about murder at the end of the day!"

You were just talking about ‘tender moments’ and in the first episode there’s a lovely moment where Sister Boniface voices what Sam means to her…

"I really loved that. And there is another tender moment between Sam and Sister Boniface later in the series, too. Until now, they have this unexpected but lovely working relationship and friendship. It's really nice to explore what they mean to each other. They're not usually very demonstrative, but they definitely have each other's backs. He’s very protective of her, and she looks out for him. To have an episode where they put it into words is very lovely to see and certainly lovely to play. We both enjoyed exploring that. I hope I wasn't too snotty nosed!"

A running joke of the series is Miss Thimble and her horrendous culinary creations. And she's at it again with more bizarre fare, including a three-tier birthday cake with a layer of liver and onion meatloaf! Has anyone ever been tempted to sample her wares?

"I seem to recall a Thimble spread of strange delicacies in the first episode. There was all sorts going on. Never at any point did I feel tempted to try any. But it is a running joke that I love and I’m always intrigued to see what they come up with. I don’t think they are safe for human consumption."

Tell us about filming the series in the Cotswolds. You must miss it when you're not there?

"It's really magical and I think, because we're four seasons in now, we are like a massive family and it’s a big old reunion every year. Everyone knows each other very well now, cast and crew. It's a really lovely working environment. I mean the guest cast often comment on it actually. They say how friendly, warm, funny, fun it is to work on the show. And that backdrop, it just never gets old. It's so beautiful there. We do work long hours, but who cares? You're in the Cotswolds, in the sunshine and it’s lovely. I can't complain. I feel very lucky."

Tulsa King season 3

Superstar Sylvester Stallone is back pulling punches as aging mobster Dwight "The General" Manfredi in Tulsa King season 3. The Taylor Sheridan-created gangster drama features Stallone as a New York mafia capo who is exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma after his release from a 25-year prison stint — but he has no plans of going straight.

The official plot synopsis reads: "As Dwight’s empire expands, so do his enemies and the risks to his crew. Now, he faces his most dangerous adversaries in Tulsa yet: the Dunmires, a powerful old-money family that doesn’t play by old-world rules, forcing Dwight to fight for everything he’s built and protect his family."

There are some exciting cast additions in season 3, with Robert Patrick and Beau Knapp joining as the villainous father-son duo, Jeremiah and Cole Dunmire. 9-1-1 season 1
