While YouTube TV is currently the most popular live TV streaming service, boasting over 8 million subscribers as of early 2024, a new deal means its dominance is about to see a huge threat.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, two of its biggest competitors are about to team up in a deal that's apparently being confirmed officially very soon.

These rivals are Hulu with Live TV, Disney's cable-streaming offering, and Fubo, which began life as a sports streaming option but now focuses on cable channels, too.

THR's report states that these two live TV streaming services will be merged together if the deal goes through, although apparently Hulu and Fubo will still offer their platforms individually under separate names. There won't be one giant 'Fulu' or 'Hubo' platform, by the sounds of it.

While the details are still up in the air about the deal, it'll likely mean great things for Fubo and Hulu with Live TV subscribers if it passes.

For one, it'll likely mean that certain channels that are currently only available to one group of streamers, will now be available on the joint platform. For example in April 2024, Fubo lost access to plenty of Warner Bros. Discovery channels like Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, Food Network and Investigation Discovery. Hulu with Live TV still has this, so it seems likely that a successful merger would see Fubo streamers get access to this again.

Fubo has more channels than Hulu with Live TV overall, though, with over 280 on its top plan compared to Hulu's roughly 100. So current Hulu TV's subscribers could see their channel count multiply too.

The THR report suggests Fubo will be receiving millions from Disney, partly through a loan and partly through payment, which could see the streamer invest in its user interface, which fans often complain about.

These benefits are all hypothetical for now, but any attempt by Fubo and Disney to take on YouTube TV has to mean good things for subscribers: the two streaming services will naturally need to get more competitive to win over YouTube TV subscribers, be it by bolstering the channel list, reducing the price or improving the user experience.

Another aspect of this deal is that Venu Sport is back on the books. This sports streaming service bundle package was delayed due to an anti-competition injunction filed by Fubo, but it'll apparently be dropped if the deal goes through.

As mentioned before, Fubo and Disney are expected to announce the deal themselves soon, so we'll find out more then.

If you've been paying close attention to the Cyber Monday streaming deals, you'll know that they're all about to end in a matter of hours. However that's not the case for the Fubo Cyber Monday deals.

Fubo has confirmed two things that make its deal even better. Firstly, while the deal was initially for $20 off your first month, it's now actually $30 off, saving you even more money on the live TV streaming service. You can see the deal below.

Secondly, the deal will remain active until the end of December. Basically every other Black Friday / Cyber Monday streaming deal ends at midnight on Monday, December 2 (Cyber Monday) so Fubo has pipped its rivals to the post on this front.

The one exception to both of these points is on Fubo's Latino plan. This is $14 off for your first month and the deal is active through Sunday, December 15, which is still way later than Fubo's streaming rivals.

It’s clear how prevalent social media is in all of our daily lives — heck, you likely found this article on X, Facebook or the like — but a new docuseries is delving into exactly what life is like for hyper plugged-in teens, the world’s first generation of digital natives. 

Premiering on FX tonight, September 27 at 10pm with its first two episodes, Social Studies is “a groundbreaking, character-driven documentary series” and social experiment that chronicles a school year in the lives of a diverse group of Los Angeles teens, who “open up their lives and phones to offer an intimate glimpse into how social media has reshaped childhood,” reads the official series description, per FX. “From battling bullying, grappling with beauty standards, coping with comparison pressures and racism, exploring sexuality, and making life-altering decisions, their compelling and relatable experiences take us on a raw, visceral and urgent journey through the challenges of growing up in the digital era.”

Directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Lauren Greenfield, the limited series will have five episodes total. The premiere, entitled “Social 101,” sees the California teens return to school post-Covid and share their phones and lives to explore the effects of social media.

Greenfield talked to ABC’s On The Red Carpet ahead of the series’ premiere, discussing how Social Studies differs from other coming-of-age chronicles of modern-day youth. “The things that they're dealing with about identity are what we always dealt with coming of age, the 'who am I?' But it's so hard to kind of find yourself when you're looking at others constantly," Greenfield said. 

The director continued: “Kids have always compared themselves to the people in their class, the people in their clique, the people in another clique. But imagine comparing yourself to the whole world of people, and some people that are not even real, that photoshopped their bodies, that perfect their images, that use a ring light before they come on their socials. And that's the pressure that kids are grappling with every day."

To tune into tonight’s airing of the first two episodes of Social Studies, you’re going to need access to the FX network. In order to do that, you need to have either a traditional pay-TV service or a live TV streaming service that carries FX. In the case of the latter, Fubo, Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV and YouTube TV all carry FX as part of their channel lineup. The docuseries will also be available to stream with a Hulu subscription.

Netflix continues to make its mark in the sports documentary space with its latest series, Starting 5. The docuseries follows in the footsteps of shows like Simone Biles Rising, Receiver, Quarterback and Full Swing (Full Swing season 3 premieres in 2025). 

As it pertains to Starting 5, the show follows some of the premier players in the NBA as they deal with on-the-court competition and pressures, while balancing the demands of their personal lives. Front and center of the cast is Lebron James, who without a doubt will go down as one of the greats in basketball and who currently holds the title for the oldest active player in the NBA. Fans of video games can set their clock by the Future Games Show, a regular showcase of upcoming new games, and the 2024 Summer Showcase is set to take place on Saturday, June 8.

The next Future Games Show after the Spring showcase in March, this latest iteration of the event promises to give us a sneak peak at over 40 upcoming new video games.

These include supernatural survival games, a mech base defense game, a parkour detective adventure game and a delivery driver simulator that's been compared to Crazy Taxi. His name is synonymous with martial arts and movie stardom, but a new-to-TV documentary manages to reveal the man behind the pop culture icon that is Bruce Lee. 

I Am Bruce Lee—a non-fiction film centered on the legendary actor and martial artist of films like 1971's The Big Boss, 1972's Fist of Fury and The Way of the Dragon (which he also wrote and directed), 1973's Enter the Dragon and 1978's The Game of Death, who tragically died in 1973 from a cerebral edema at the age of 32—will air on The CW on Saturday, May 18 from 8 pm to 10 pm ET.  

The 95-minute documentary film is readily available for anyone with a traditional pay-TV subscription or TV antenna that receives local station signals, as well as live TV streaming subscribers to Fubo, Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV and YouTube TV.

Directed by Pete McCormack, the doc traces Lee's too short but storied career as the "Father of Martial Arts Cinema," from his beginnings in the Hong Kong film industry to his days of training notable folks like Chuck Norris and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as a martial-arts teacher in Los Angeles, to the film legacy that prompted TIME magazine to name Bruce as one of the 100 most important people of the 20th century.

As well as his pioneering professional career, the film also gives insights into his personal life, with extremely rare footage and archival clips of the star interwoven with intimate testimonies and home videos from those who knew Lee best, including his widow Linda Lee Cadwell and their daughter Shannon Lee. (Bruce and Linda's son Brandon Lee faced a similarly tragic end as his father: while starring in the 1994 superhero film The Crow, Brandon was fatally wounded on set by a prop gun at just 28 years old.) 

The in-depth doc will also include interviews from fellow martial artists, athletes, actors and directors who discuss Lee's legacy, including Mickey Rourke, Ed O'Neill, Kobe Bryant and martial-arts great Dan Inosanto, among others. 

The film is the latest installment in the "I Am" documentary series, a series of celebrity biography docs that were commissioned for the Paramount Network and now are airing on The CW. Similar star-focused titles including I Am Heath Ledger, I Am Paul Walker and I Am Patrick Swayze.

Rich, famous, athletic; it's a combination that usually guarantees love, but in Love Undercover, five famous soccer players try to find romance without the trappings of their status and job.

The show, which debuts on Thursday, May 9, stars Jamie O'Hara, Ryan babel, Lloyd Jones, Marco Fabián and Sebastián Fassi. These non-US soccer players are taken to Los Angeles and must meet and fall for one of the cast members of 19 women...

... the catch is that they can't tell these people that they're a rich and successful athlete, and must rely on their own personalities and charm in order to find a match.

To watch Love Undercover in the US, you'll need to be a subscriber to NBCUniversal's streaming service Peacock. The show is an original production for Peacock, and so almost definitely won't show up anywhere else.

Peacock costs $5.99 per month for its base tier, so it's one of the more affordable US streaming services. This tier makes you watch commercials, but $11.99 per month gets you ad-free streaming.

The first four episodes of Love Undercover will be available to watch on Peacock straight away, on Thursday, May 9.

For the next batch of three episodes, you'll have to wait a week, as they're landing on Peacock on Thursday, May 16.

You no doubt know their hit songs: "Our Lips Are Sealed," "We Got the Beat," "Vacation," "Head over Heels" and "Turn to You," among many others. But do you know the real story behind The Go-Go's? A music documentary chronicling the meteoric rise of the all-girl band is airing on TV tonight. 

Directed by Alison Ellwood, the hour-and-a-half-long documentary will chronicle the quintet of lead vocalist Belinda Carlisle, lead guitarist Charlotte Caffey, drummer Gina Schock, bassist Kathy Valentine and rhythm guitarist Jane Wiedlin through the band's beginnings in the L.A. punk rock scene of the late 1970s, to their MTV music-video stardom of the '80s, to the ups and downs the group experienced from the 1990s to today. 

Widely considered the most successful all-female rock band of all time, the pioneering group distinguished itself as one of the first all-women bands to write original material and play all of their own instruments. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021.

The Go-Go's will air tonight, March 16, on The CW from 8pm to 10pm Eastern. Though Carlisle acknowledged that the rockers were initially hesitant about having a documentary film crew dig into their complicated history and complex dynamics, ultimately the musicians were pleased with the finished product. She told Entertainment Weekly: "Seeing them again and seeing it on the big screen, where everything was so loud, made us really very emotional. It was such a well-crafted story, and we were so happy with the results. We feel that it's a great way to bookend a career, and a lot of healing was done through that documentary...Now we can really watch this documentary and reflect on how much we've been through together and be proud of what we accomplished."

Does Fubo stream in 4K?

With the NFL playoffs underway, that means we are just a few weeks away from one of the biggest events of the year — the Puppy Bowl 2024.  

Puppy Bowl 2024, or Puppy Bowl XX, as the annual event celebrates its 20th anniversary, is an opportunity to celebrate adoptable dogs as well as the shelters and rescues that work to help these animals find their forever homes. To do this, the Puppy Bowl features more than 130 dogs playing on a faux football field with toys and each other, and maybe even occasionally score a touchdown.

Puppy Bowl 2024 is set for February 11 at 2 pm ET/11 am PT, giving football fans something else to watch on Super Bowl Sunday.

However, for those that haven't, the information on the shelters and rescues that they are from will be provided during the broadcast for interested viewers to check out. How to watch Puppy Bowl 2024

There are many options for US viewers to watch Puppy Bowl 2024, as the special event is airing on Animal Planet, Discovery, TBS and truTV, as well as streaming on Max and Discovery Plus.

Animal Planet, Discovery, TBS and truTV are cable channels, so subscribers to traditional cable/satellite pay-TV services should check to see if the channel is available on their service or look for one that does carry it. 

Many of these channels are also available on live TV streaming services, though which services depends on the channel. Animal Planet is available on Fubo, Hulu with Live TV and YouTube TV; TBS, Discovery and truTV are available on Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV and YouTube TV.

COPA 71, also called Storyville: Copa '71: The Lost Lionesses, is a documentary movie that unearths the incredible story of the pioneering unofficial Women’s World Cup of football/soccer that was held in Mexico City in August 1971, but was written out of history because of the widespread misogyny and prejudice in the world of football. 

The 2024 Women’s World Cup in Australia left audiences around the globe gripped, as stars such as England's Alessia Russo and Mary Earps plus Spanish star Jenni Hermoso were celebrated for their skill and talent. But what most fans of the sport probably won’t know is that back in 1971 a tournament took place that created similar fanfare. That year women’s football teams from England, Argentina, Mexico, France, Denmark and Italy gathered in Mexico’s two main stadiums for the second ever unofficial Women’s World Cup, a tournament that boasted crowds of 100,000 paying fans, extensive TV coverage and lavish sponsorship. But this was a time when women’s football was banned in many countries and while the players in Mexico were treated like rock stars by fans and the media alike, the event was dismissed by both the governing body and domestic football associations around the world and was therefore largely forgotten about — until now. 

Featuring archive footage, this documentary film has been executive produced by tennis legends Serena and Venus Williams and the story is told by the pioneering women who competed in the tournament. It also features current women’s footballers such as US star Brandi Chastain. “We first heard about the tournament during the Covid lockdown but there was nothing on the internet about it,” says COPA 71’s Rachel Ramsay, who co-directed the film with James Erskine. “There wasn’t even a Wikipedia page. It had completely dropped out of the bottom of history. How could something this big just disappear?”

Storyville: Copa '71: The Lost Lionesses will be shown on BBC4 and BBCiPlayer in June 2024. We will update when this television launch date is confirmed.

COPA 71 was released in UK cinemas from Friday March 8 2024, having previously been shown in US cinemas from October 22 2023. We’re waiting to hear if it will then feature on a streaming service such as Prime Video, Netflix, Disney Plus or Apple TV+ and will update you on this page as soon as an announcement is made. Run time is 91 minutes.

What happens in COPA 71

COPA 71 follows the unofficial Women’s World Cup that took place in Mexico City in 1971. Denmark became the tournament champions, winning the final 3–0 against hosts Mexico, in front of a 110,000 crowd.

The event attracted huge crowds and the players were worshipped by fans and the media alike. In fact, it still ranks as the best attended women’s sporting event of all time. Eventually injustice prevailed and those in control of the so-called beautiful game ensured that the tournament was written out of the sport’s history. The film details why it’s the biggest sporting event that most people will never have heard of. 

He's one of the world's most legendary movie stars (and movie mustaches, for that matter), but a new-to-TV documentary manages to reveal the man behind the myth that is Burt Reynolds. 

I Am Burt Reynolds—a non-fiction film centered on the iconic star of films like 1974's The Longest Yard, 1977's Smokey and the Bandit, 1981's The Cannonball Run and 1997's Boogie Nights, who passed in 2018 at the age of 82—makes its long-awaited television premiere on The CW on Saturday, December 30 from 8 pm to 10 pm ET.  

The documentary film is readily available for anyone with a traditional pay-TV subscription or TV antenna that receives local station signals, as well as live TV streaming subscribers to Fubo, Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV and YouTube TV.

Directed by Adrian Buitenhuis, the doc traces Reynolds' decades-spanning career, from his early work in television series like Gunsmoke and Hawk to his cinema heyday in the '70s and '80s, and his career revival in the late '90s. (He earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his work as adult-film director Jack Horner in Boogie Nights.) 

It also delves deep into his personal life, including his marriage to and subsequent divorce from actress Loni Anderson, who is an interviewee in the doc, alongside Quinton Reynolds, the son she and Burt adopted in 1988. Other candid stories about the actor come from fellow stars like Jon Voight, Bruce Dern and Marilu Henner. 

The film is the latest installment in the "I Am" documentary series, a series of celebrity biography docs that were commissioned for the Paramount Network and now are airing on The CW. Similar star-focused titles including I Am Heath Ledger, I Am Paul Walker and I Am Patrick Swayze, all of which were also directed by Buitenhuis. 

Buitenhuis told The New York Post why Reynolds made for such a compelling biographical subject: “Burt’s story is the thread of someone who had been around since old Hollywood and how [the industry] evolved through him. When you go back through someone’s life and films in relationship to their personal life it changes how you look at their movies."

The filmmaker continued: "This is a man who hasn’t been given his due and it was an amazing story to be told—the scope of his generational, decades long career with tons of great films to pull from and a family that was behind the idea."

2023 once again confirmed that nothing beats the NFL in terms of viewership, but of the best of the rest in terms of most-watched telecasts from the year, Gordon Ramsay's Next Level Chef season 2 and the Oscars were able to make some headway amongst the gridiron games.

As it has done in recent years, Variety gathered data from Nielsen and put together the 100 most-watched TV telecasts of 2023. The first 14 were all NFL games, led of course by Super Bowl LVII between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs with 114.95 million viewers. But two non-NFL telecasts were able to crack the top 25: the Oscars, which came in at 15 with 19.41 million viewers, and Next Level Chef's season 2 premiere at 22 with 16.89 million viewers. 

After those two, you have to go to the number 40 spot to find a non-sport or award show, with the 60 Minutes episode that featured an interview with Prince Harry taking that spot with 12.46 million viewers.

While Next Level Chef has definitely proven to be a hit amongst viewers for Fox, its season 2 premiere did have some help to crack the top 25. Namely, the Super Bowl's 114.9 million viewers, as the Next Level Chef episode aired immediately after the big game.

Only one scripted episode of TV made it into the top 50 most-watched telecasts of the year. The most watched episode of scripted TV in 2023 was Fire Country season 1 episode 12, which aired on January 29 and had 12.22 million viewers; though again worth noting it had the NFL's AFC Championship game as a lead-in.

Once you get beyond the top 50, there is some more variety in the most-watched shows. Among the highlights, Yellowstone season 5 episode 8, which was the last episode from part one of the final season to air and tied for 51st with 11.47 million viewers. 

NCIS season 20 was the scripted show with the most top 100 watched telecasts, with 11 episodes making the list. It's highest being NCIS season 20 episode 11, at 55 and 11.25 million viewers.

In addition to Fire Country, new series Accused (59) and Night Court (94) both made the list with their series premieres.

Based on this list coming out on December 29, it's obvious that it doesn't account for the entire year. Specifically, the data covers from January 1 to December 3.

After the popularity of the first season of Wednesday on Netflix, and ahead of the anticipation for Wednesday season 2, it sounds like the Addams Family tree is about to get a little bigger. Per Deadline, an Uncle Fester spinoff is in early development. 

Fred Armisen's Uncle Fester made a single appearance in Wednesday's first season, but it was enough to get fans buzzing with excitement. The Addams uncle was on the run from the law at the time, but he managed to swing by Nevermore Academy to hide out while offering some avuncular advice to his niece, Wednesday (Jenna Ortega).

While we don't have many details about the new series, we do know that Wednesday was one of the biggest hits for Netflix, and with a whole universe of Addamses out there, the Uncle Fester spinoff could be the first of many.

The Uncle Fester spinoff is still in the very early stages of development, so there's no indication of when the series might premiere. If it starts filming this year, it's a safe bet that the series could debut in 2025 or, possibly, early 2026.

We don't know what the Uncle Fester spinoff is about yet, but there are some very interesting possibilities. 

We know from his appearance on Wednesday that he was running from the police after a bank robbery. It's possible that the spinoff could feature his life on the run, or what happened leading up to the crime. 

We could also jump to other moments in Fester's life, possibly giving us more ways to spend time with Wednesday's father, Gomez Addams (Luis Guzman).

One thing's for sure: there's no shortage of stories that could be explored in this new universe. 

Uncle Fester spinoff cast

Fred Armisen is the only cast member linked to the project at this point, as he originated the character on the Wednesday series. Armisen is a Saturday Night Live alum who's known for his work in Portlandia, Big Mouth and Unbreakable  Kimmy Schmidt. 

It's more than likely that fans will see cameos from the Wednesday cast in the spinoff. We'll keep you updated as more information becomes available.

Fubo Latino plan

While Fubo Latino may offer a much smaller number of channels – around 50 to date – the options here are perfect for those looking exclusively for Spanish-language tailored content.

At the very reasonable price of $33 per month, Fubo Latino’s content on display ranges from sports to documentaries to movies. These include channels such as Fox Deportes, ESPN Deportes HD and BeIN Sports among many other Spanish-speaking options.

However, compared to the other plans, Fubo Latino only offers 250 hours of Cloud DVR storage and support alongside simultaneous streaming on just two screens (on the go or at home). If this is a dealbreaker for you but you still want all this content, it is possible to upgrade Cloud DVR and simultaneous streaming access at an extra fee.

People are always asking whether there's a Fubo free trial, and for good reason: Fubo is one of the priciest live TV streaming services on offer, especially if you opt for the higher-tier bundles. Thankfully a new Black Friday streaming deal can save you more money than even a free trial would.

The overall premise for Full Swing is not changing after its first season. The docuseries follows some of the world's top professional golfers both at home and on the course, including them at some of the biggest tournaments in the world, like the four majors (The Masters, PGA Championship, US Open, Open Championship).

But as the game continues to change, Full Swing is there to capture it. Here is the description of what to expect this season from Netflix:

How do you choose your subscription to include Fubo Latino?

You can include add-on options to your plan when you create your account on the Fubo website . The first payment is made as soon as it's added to your account.

If you already have a Fubo account and want to change to Fubo Latino, all you have to do is log in on the Fubo website , press My Account , and press Manage Add-Ons . From there you'll be able to make any changes you like.

How to cancel your Fubo subscription on an Apple TV

1. Go to the Settings on your Apple TV.
2. Select Accounts.
3. Select Manage Subscriptions under Subscriptions.
4. Select Fubo TV.
5. Select Cancel Subscription.

Canceling your subscription during a free trial will cause the trial to end immediately. Fubo doesn't offer refunds for canceling your account in the middle of a pay cycle. When you cancel the account, you will still have access to all the features you paid for until the end of your billing cycle. At that point, the subscription won't be renewed and you shouldn't be charged.

Your subscription will have a Renew button to the right of the listing on the Fubo website. If you decide to reactive your account before your billing cycle is over you can press that button to renew your account.

So... now what?

Time to check out a few other subscription options! Fubo is sad to see you go, but that doesn't mean there isn't another service out there for you.

Make sure you look into Sling TV. There are plenty of plan options to watch with or without ads and even a Live TV add-on! How to watch Tour de France: Unchained

Tour de France: Unchained is a Netflix original docuseries, so a subscription to the streaming service is required if you want to watch. If you're OK with ads, you can get a Netflix subscription for as little as $6.99 per month, though if you want to avoid any ads subscription prices start at $9.99 per month. 

Streaming and movie theaters can often seem like they're rivals, but AMC Theaters and Vudu are teaming up with a new deal. Starting June 1, Fandango's on-demand and streaming service Vudu is the official streaming platform for AMC Theaters on Demand, a digital platform that allows subscribers to digital rent and watch movies online and with mobile devices.

As a result of this deal, AMC Theaters on Demand users automatically become Vudu customers, getting access to the more than 200,000 new release and catalog movies and TV shows available to rent and buy on the platform while also keeping movies they previously acquired through AMC Theaters on Demand.

AMC Theaters on Demand users can immediately transfer their accounts to Vudu with no additional subscription required. In addition to getting access to Vudu's library, the streaming service is upgrading applicable movies previously purchased through AMC Theaters on Demand to 4K UHD video quality at no cost. Also, they'll get 15% off every purchase made in Vudu for the first month.

If AMC Theaters on Demand users already had a Vudu account, they can use the same email to link accounts and begin migrating their AMC library to Vudu; if not, they can simply create a new Vudu account. You can also begin to transfer your AMC Theaters on Demand account over directly through the AMC website.

If you were hoping to enjoy a brand new episode of The Rookie, Will Trent, Accused or CBS' FBI franchise on Tuesday, February 7, you're going to be out of luck. All of those shows, and more, are taking the night off because of President Biden's 2023 State of the Union address, which is set to air on the four major US TV networks (ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC), in addition to all of the cable news channels.

The State of the Union address is the annual speech from the president where they speak directly to a joint session of Congress to provide an update on a varying number of topics impacting the country. The speech is scheduled to begin at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT, with most networks planning about two hours of coverage.

Because of this, ABC and CBS have opted not to air any new episodes of their Tuesday night lineups. For ABC that includes the new drama Will Trent, The Rookie season 5 and its spinoff, The Rookie: Feds. For CBS that means there is not going to be any new episode of its FBI franchise, which consists of FBI, FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International.

However, there are still going to be some TV shows airing new episodes ahead of President Biden's speech. NBC is going to air the latest episodes of Night Court and American Auto, while Fox has an all-new episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star set to air. The rest of those network's Tuesday night programming — La Brea on NBC and Accused on Fox — are not airing new episodes. 

If you're curious about the staples of Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune, both of those shows are expected to air new episodes in their usual time slots in all markets.

While the big four broadcast networks are all taking the time to cover the State of the Union, many cable networks are sticking with their usual lineups. That includes the Real Housewives of New Jersey season 13 making its season premiere on Bravo at 9 pm ET/PT, as well as plenty of sports, including college basketball airing on ESPN and Fox Sports, NBA on TNT and WWE wrestling on USA.

If you do happen to be a political junkie and not only want to watch President Biden's State of the Union address but coverage before and after the speech, most of the broadcast networks are going to have some reaction from their main news teams, while cable news networks like CNN, Fox News and MSNBC are dedicating their night to State of the Union pre and post-speech coverage.

All of the shows not airing on Tuesday, February 7, because of the State of the Union are slated to return with new episodes at their usual time on February 14.

If you use a live TV streaming service to stream cable channels without a physical cable, then there's a good chance that Hulu with Live TV is your cord-cutter of choice, as it's one of the biggest options in the US.

However there are many reasons you'd want to cancel Hulu with Live TV. Perhaps the price is too high, you want a different selection of channels, or you signed up with a Hulu deal that isn't valid any more.

Sling TV is still one of the least expensive ways to watch Live TV. It's also as close as you can get to having a true "a la carte" service, wherein you only pay for the channels you watch. And there's a Sling TV free trial, so be sure to use that.

For $50 a month you'll get either the Sling "Blue" or Sling "Orange" plan. (You can get both for a little more, and check out our guide to Sling TV packages for all the info). From there you'll add on the "Extras" — packages that include things like more sports channels, or more news channels, or various entertainment channels. It's not quite a la carte, but it's closer, and it lets you build your own lineup better than any other service out there.

Philo TV

If you just want the basics — and only the basics — and don't want to pay too much for them, definitely check out Philo TV.

This one's pretty simple. It doesn't have all the major channels you'll find elsewhere, but it does have a surprisingly decent lineup for just $25 a month.

You really can't find a cheaper deal on live TV anywhere.

Frndly TV

If you want to pay the same monthly cost as Netflix, but for a selection of live TV channels, then you'll want to opt for Frndly TV. There are a few different Frndly TV packages but they begin at just $7.99 per month, which is a tempting price before you consider the presence of a Frndly TV free trial.

Frndly TV has a svelte channel list that offers broad entertainment channels instead of news, sports, new movies or other options that generally cost you. However if you're usually a streaming service fan who just wants a few live channels to put on now and then, it's a great pick.

YouTube TV

Google's live TV service — YouTube TV — is one of our favorites to use because it's so simple. One monthly fee of $65, tied to your Google account. One list of channels. Just a few add-ons (including Showtime and NBA TV and Fox Soccer Plus), and that's it. And be sure to take advantage of the YouTube TV free trial.

Plus YouTube TV has unlimited cloud-based DVR, support for multiple profiles, and works well on just about any hardware you have.

21 Jump Street

Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are the actors most associated with 21 Jump Street nowadays, but the popular films were based on the hit 1980s TV series that starred a young Johnny Depp and others as young-looking cops who would go undercover to investigate youth crimes.

Everybody’s favorite Stone Age family has made their way to Tubi. Fred, Wilma, Barney, Betty, Dino and little Pebbles and Bamm Bamm get into funny and wacky adventures in Bedrock.

The character of Hannibal Lectre is iconic thanks to the performance of Anthony Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs. But the infamous cannibal made an impression on TV audiences with Hannibal.

Mads Mikkelsen took on the role on Lectre in the series, a prequel to the events of Silence of the Lambs, where Lectre assists FBI agent Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) in solving violent grimes (the show really pushed the limits for broadcast TV), all while hiding his own secret identity as a serial killer. Hell's Kitchen 

Gordon Ramsay has become one of TV’s most prolific chefs, with a multitude of series that he takes part in. Some see him lending hands to struggling businesses or encouraging young chefs, but it was his incredible rants and devastating insults in the competition series Hell’s Kitchen that made him a star.

Hell’s Kitchen brings together aspiring professional chefs as they attempt to win challenges dealing both in the kitchen as well as the dining experience. In addition to trying to be the best, they have to contend with Ramsay’s imposing presence throughout the challenges.

The Joy of Painting With Bob Ross

Bob Ross became a beloved figure with The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross, his simple yet endlessly enjoyable painting program. We all joke about painting our happy little bushes, but it is all in jest as Ross' wholesome nature could charm even the biggest cynic.

Ross did The Joy of Painting for an incredible 31 seasons, with all but the first season available to watch right now on Tubi.

Unfortunately, the base proves not to be impenetrable as a trader finds himself among the young FBI officers in training.

Quantico proves to have just the right amount of mystery and excitement that should make for an interesting watch over the course of three seasons.

However that price doesn't take into account RSNs, or Regional Sports Network fees, which are extra (and compulsory) fees to stream sports depending on which region you live in — and a lot more are joining FuboTV to coincide with the price hike.

If you live in an area covered by a single RSN, you'll find yourself paying $10.99 extra per month, but if your area has multiple, that's $13.99 extra on top of your monthly bill, so you could easily pay over $100 each month to FuboTV with this new change.

That means, if you're a sports fan, you'll find yourself paying a lot of money to stick to FuboTV. This won't necessarily be the worst decision in the world as the streaming service, which originated as a solely sports-oriented one, has all the important channels including ESPN, ABC, the Golf Channel and more. However it's now more expensive that alternatives like Sling TV, YouTube TV and Hulu with Live TV, the prices for which you can see below.

The late 2022 and early 2023 period has brought many changes to FuboTV. In January 2023, the live TV streaming service gained a host of channels that had previously left the service including TNT, Cartoon Network, CNN and TBS. However an early January announcement confirmed that several AMC channels would be leaving the service too: AMC, BBC America, Sundance TV and six other channels left FuboTV at the beginning of the month. 

None of these are vital for sports fans, but for owners with a range of interests, or who buy their cable for a whole family instead of just themselves, it could be noteworthy.

Making his feature directing debut with 80 for Brady is Kyle Marvin. His lone previous directing credit, per IMDb, was the TV series All Wrong.

However, Marvin has had success on the big screen, serving as a writer, actor and producer on the critically-acclaimed indie comedy The Climb. Most mainstream audiences, though, probably know him from his role on WeCrashed, where he played Miguel McKelvey.

Granda told Reuters that he began having a sexual relationship with Falwell Jr.’s wife Becki when he was 20 years old back in 2012. To further complicate this bombshell revelation, Granda alleged that Falwell Jr. was on hand to witness the affair.

While extramarital events aren’t necessarily breaking news for everyone, for someone like Jerry Falwell Jr. and his family, who have built their careers on the notion of being straightlaced pillars of morality, this sordid tale put him on blast in conservative circles and cost him his job with the university.

God Forbid: The Sex Scandal That Brought Down a Dynasty was directed by Billy Corben. Corben is well-known for his work in the documentary genre having led behind the camera for Cocaine Cowboys, Cocaine Cowboys 2, Screwball, Magic City Hustle and a number of episodes of ESPN’s 30 for 30. 

Corben not only serves as director for the new film, but he’s also a producer alongside super producer Adam McKay. McKay has been behind some recent big hits including Succession, Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty and Don’t Look Up.  

The Tokyo Olympics are here! After a pandemic delay turned the traditional four-year wait for the summer Olympics into five years, the Tokyo Olympics will begin this week.

The Olympic games feature some of the world’s best athletes in a wide range of sports, from the track to the pool, from the hard court to the balance beam, promising to make the games’ two weeks packed with plenty of action.

Even though some sports will get underway on July 21 in Japan (the evening of July 20 for us here in the U.S.), the Tokyo Olympics officially begin with the Opening Ceremony on July 23. The Opening Ceremony is always one of the most anticipated events of the games as the host countries love to put together elaborate performances and the athletes get to walk into the main Olympic stadium behind their country’s flag. For YouTube TV subscribers, they will be able to watch the Opening Ceremony in 4K.

Of course, the Opening Ceremony, and the rest of the games, will be different from past Olympics because of the lingering effects of the global pandemic. Spectators are not permitted at events, and you’d have to imagine that something to mark the last year will be shown during the Opening Ceremony.

After the lighting of the torch, the Tokyo Olympics will be off in full swing. Fans will be treated to traditional Olympic events including track & field, gymnastics, swimming, basketball and more, while new events like rock climbing and skateboarding are joining the lineup this year, as well as the return of softball and baseball to the games. Past Olympic stars like Simone Biles, Katie Ledecky, Adam Peaty, Caleb Dressel and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce are all back to compete and add to their legacy, as are professional athletes like Kevin Durant, Naomi Osaka, Megan Rapinoe and Novak Djokovich looking to add to their trophy cases. Of course, one of the great things about the Olympics are the new athletes who will break out over the next two weeks.

Between now and Aug. 8 fans will have the chance to enjoy the summer Olympics once again. Here’s everything you need to know about doing so.

How to watch the Tokyo Olympics in the U.S.

As it has since 1988, NBC is the exclusive home for the Olympics. Since that time, the network has expanded its coverage to include its slew of cable networks (including the launch of The Olympics Channel) and now, for the first time, it’s Peacock streaming service.

NBC’s coverage of the Tokyo Olympics will begin on July 20, with softball and men’s and women’s soccer playing on NBCSN, USA and The Olympic Channel. Then it kicks things into high gear with its broadcast of the Opening Ceremony on July 23 on the flagship NBC network.

To watch the flagship network, which is available as a local station in all TV markets, viewers need either a basic cable package or a good old-fashioned TV antenna. If you’ve cut the cord, vMVPD services like Fubo TV, YouTube TV, Sling TV and Hulu with Live TV also offer live NBC coverage.

For NBC’s other cable channels, which include the likes of NBCSN, USA, The Olympics Channel, the Golf Channel, CNBC, Univision and more, a cable or vMVPD subscription is required.

Now for the Peacock of it all. In addition, Roku and NBCUniversal have announced a partnership that will make NBCU's Olympics coverage available right from the Roku home screen.

How to watch the Tokyo Olympics in the U.K. 

Unlike in the U.S., broadcast rights for the Tokyo Olympics are split between the BBC and Eurosport.

The BBC is available to viewers with basic cable packages or through the Freeview TV service, which is in partnership with the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky to provide free access to programming for millions of viewers.

Eurosport, meanwhile, is a premium cable channel. You can subscribe to Eurosport directly, or it is included in some cable packages, like BTV.

The U.K. will also offer streaming coverage of the Olympics. This will include the BBC iPlayer, which is free to anyone with a U.K. TV license, and Eurosport Player, which is available either as part of Discovery Plus, which runs  £4.99 per month, or as an add on channel for Amazon Prime Video at a cost of  £6.99 per month.

How to watch the Tokyo Olympics in Canada

The CBC has announced it will make 3,775 hours of Olympics coverage available to viewers in Canada through CBC, TSN and Sportsnet, starting with softball and women’s soccer coverage on Wednesday, July 21. He began as the WBA regular champion, and won the IBF and The Ring titles against Emmanuel Rodriguez in a semi-final fight. Then he was involved in an instant classic fight that won several Fight of the Year awards in 2019 against Nonito Donaire. The fight was an epic battle, with two boxers at the top of their games going back and forth the full twelve rounds of all action. In the end, Inoue earned the win and took Donaire’s WBA Super championship. What’s next for “The Monster” after this fight isn’t clear, but with Donaire now the WBC champion, another unification rematch would be very appealing to fans around the world.

Michael “Hot ‘N Spicy” Dasmarinas (30-2-1) is the mandatory challenger for Inoue, and the few people who know of his career see that he is coming in hot. He is 12-0-1 in his last thirteen fights, and his last loss was in 2014. But Dasmarinas has never faced a challenge like the one before him tonight. He’s only fought outside of his home country of The Phillipines a handful of times, with quick trips to South Africa, Japan, China and Singapore. It features plans with access to beIN Sports channels, CBS Sports Network, ESPN networks, Fox Sports, NBA TV, NFL Network, NHL Network, the Olympic Channel and other networks dedicated to golf, soccer, college sports, racing and more. It also features news and entertainment channels that rival other streaming services.

With its arrival on LG smart TVs, Fubo TV offers a variety of features geared toward the user experience. First, up to six personalized user profiles can be created within a single subscription, with each profile able to have their own set of recordings, personal recommendations and a guide based on their specific preferences.

Speaking of the guide, users can favorite channels and move their selections around the guide for easy access to the content they watch most often.

A pair of recording features are also available. The Record Series feature lets users record an entire series and not worry about missing an episode. Similarly, Record Teams lets them do the same by selecting a specific team to automatically record all of their games.

In addition, What’s Next is a new feature that automatically suggests the next episode when watching a series to allow for easy bingeing.

FuboTV is also offering LG smart TV users to start a free trial by scanning a QR code placed within the FuboTV app directly on their LG smart TV.

There are a range of FuboTV packages and prices, starting with the $64.99 per month Family package that features 115 channel, and the Elite package for $79.99 per month with 159 channels. A Spanish-language package, Fubo Español, offers 32 Spanish-language channels for $29.99 per month.

LG smart TVs is the latest platform that offers FuboTV. The streaming service is also available on the internet, Android and iOS mobile and tablet apps, Chromecast, XBox One’s family of devices, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Hisense, Roku and Samsung smart TVs.

FuboTV — the smallest of the live TV streaming services in the United States — continues its growth spurt. The service today announced that it added some 42,550 subscribers in the first three months of 2021 for a total of 590,430 subscribers as of the March 31, 2021. That's a 105 percent increase year over year, and above the guidance it gave in an update in March.

Revenue in Q1 was up 135 percent year over year to $119.7 million.   

"The first quarter of 2021 was an inflection point for fuboTV," David Gandler, co-founder and CEO of FuboTV, said in his letter to shareholders. “For the first time in any first quarter, we reported sequential revenue and subscriber growth, despite past seasonality trends. This tells us that consumers are increasingly cutting the cord. We believe they are choosing fuboTV, enticed by superior value, our year-round content offerings and a customer-centric, innovative consumer product experience relative to legacy pay TV (cable / satellite / telco). We see this trend continuing to accelerate as more consumers discover they can cut the cord without losing access to the sports teams, live channels and content they love."

FuboTV now expects to eclipse 600,000 subscribers in the second quarter, and finish the year between 830 million and 850 million total subscribers.

That'd still leave it about a quarter the size of Sling TV, and about a fifth as big as Hulu With Live TV, which finished its first quarter with 4 million subscribers. 

FuboTV plans start at $65 a month for some 95 channels, 500 hours of cloud-based DVR, and the ability to watch on three devices at one time. The Fubo Elite plan costs $80 a month and gets you 153 channels, 1,000 hours of DVR, and the ability to watch on five devices at a time. 

FuboTV also has a number of premium add-ons, including a some sports packages that simply can't be found elsewhere in the United States. FuboTV also is one of the only ways to watch the occasional lives sports in (upscaled) 4K resolution. It also has begun to dip its toes into online sports betting and will launch a sports book by 2022.

More good news for anyone who likes to watch World Cup qualifying matches. North American games are on Paramount+, and today FuboTV announced that it will stream the South American Football Confederation's qualifying games for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed, but it'll cover the remaining 70 matches, scheduled to begin in June and continue into early 2022. FuboTV also will have license to replay the games, and all matches will have English and Spanish commentary.

In addition. FuboTV also will produce original programming throughout the qualifiers, including pre-game, halftime and post-match shows.

Regional Sports Networks can be a big factor when choosing a live streaming service. And FuboTV just landed another one. Fubo will carry the Marquee Sports Network, which will bring its subscribers broadcasts of Chicago Cubs baseball games in 2021.

The regional sports network on FuboTV means that you'll be able to watch all non-nationally televised Chicago Cubs games, including pregame and postgame shows. FuboTV today announced that it added more than a quarter-million new subscribers in the second half of 2020 — a year in which we collectively stayed home and streamed more than ever. Fubo officially ended 2020 with 547,880 subscribers, up some 73 percent year over year, having added 92,800 in the final three months of 2020.

FuboTV also noted that the number of content hours streamed reached 206,000 in the three months ending Dec. 31, 2020, up 66 percent year over year. The quarter also marks the first time that FuboTV eclipsed more than $100 million in revenue, coming in at $105.1 million. 

“fuboTV’s fourth quarter closed our strongest fiscal year to date,” David Gandler, co-founder and CEO, fuboTV, said in a press release. “Our record 547,880 paid subscribers streamed more sports, news and entertainment content than ever before. Building on this quarter and year, we remain focused on continued innovation and are excited about our growth opportunities for 2021, including the ongoing expansion of our advertising business and the development of our own sportsbook.”

In its filing with the SEC, FuboTV gave guidance for revenue between $101 million and $103 million, and it expects to actually lose subscribers thanks to the seasonality of viewership thanks to its strong emphasis on sports content. Current guidance for Fubo's Q12021 puts subscribers between 520,000 and 530,000. That would still keep it in last place in our list of the biggest live TV streaming services in the United States, unless AT&T TV somehow falls off a cliff. But FuboTV is forecasting between 760,000 and 770,000 subscribers at the end of 2021, which likely would put it ahead of AT&T, should recent trends continue.

And as it announced in January, we'll see FuboTV begin its push into sports betting in 2021.

“Our goal for 2021 and beyond is to develop fuboTV into a new kind of media company that combines both innovative streaming video and sports wagering,” Edgar Bronfman Jr., executive chairman, fuboTV, said in the press release. “We intend to deliver leading sports, news and entertainment content to a growing subscriber base that transcends the industry's current virtual MVPD model, and are excited about our ability to capitalize on the future market opportunity."

Miguel "The Scorpion" Berchelt (37-1) is the reigning WBC Super Featherweight Champion and one of the elite fighters hailing from Mexico. Berchet has held this title for over four years, after taking it from Francisco Vargas with a knockout late win. Since then he’s had a solid run of defenses, including running it back with Vargas in May of 2019. In that fight, Berchelt finished things up in just six rounds, beating Vargas so badly that his trainer threw in the towel.

The title picture at 130 pounds, which is called both Super Featherweight and Junior Lightweight, is a bit of a mess right now, but Berchelt could have a chance to pick up more belts if he plays his cards right. Also the IBF title was just lost by JoJo Diaz on the scales, as he came in way overweight before his title defense draw earlier this year. Oscar Valdez (28-0) is undefeated and a former WBO world champion from one weight class down as a featherweight, and now he has his mind set on being a two division world champ. Valdez won the title at 126 pounds in July 2016, and he held that title for just under three years before jumping up in weight. Now that he’s had two knockout victories in his two fights at 130 pounds, Valdez looks primed for a shot at a title.

Valdez has something big in common with Berchelt beyond their Mexican heritage. Both fighters have high career knockout rates. Valdez has a total of 22 knockouts in 28 wins, and Berchelt has 33 knockouts in 37 wins. Sign up for ESPN+ today,  either by itself or as part of the Disney Bundle, and you can see Berchelt vs. Valdez on February 20.

Our list of the best streaming services is littered with many different options cord-cutters to pick from, so if you're thinking about cancelling Sling TV, then you'll be glad to know that there are plenty of other similar services you can opt for.

Whether you're cancelling because the Sling TV packages don't include the channels you want, or because you signed up for a Sling TV deal which has expired and you want something more affordable, there are options out there for you.

These will be organized by cheapest to priciest (roughly, as some have multiple plans) to give you a sense of the scope.

Frndly TV

Your cheapest option for streaming live TV channels is via Frndly TV, a budget-friendly option for people who don't need sports, news or certain other big areas.

Frndly TV starts at just $7.99, a tenth of some other options on this list, however there's a catch. The live TV streamer offers just over 50 channels but they're generally entertainment ones like Crime & Investigation, Hallmark Channel and A&E. So no sports, no news, and no prestige TV.

There's also a Frndly TV free trial which lets you save even more money.

Philo TV

Another affordable option is Philo TV. It costs a little more, at $28 monthly, but it gets you more channels too.

Philo's selection of channels includes some big ones like BBC America and Accuweather, though again the big (and expensive) channels are missing. It's fuss-free, with only a single tier, although there's also a selection of free channels which non-subscribers can use.

Fubo

Fubo is a newcomer that has one thing going for it that no other streaming service can compete with — it's a sports-lovers dream.

Fubo's standard plan runs $75 a month forover 130 channels. And for $85 a month you'll get closer to 190. There are even pricier Fubo packages if you really want every channel available.

And the add-ons are where Fubo really gets interesting. Sure, there's Showtime and FX+ and AMC Premiere, but there's also an add-on for cycling. And international sports. And regional sports. And outdoor sports. Plus a latino plan.

Hulu with Live TV

Hulu already has made quite the name for itself over the years with its extensive catalog of on-demand content, and award-winning original series like The Handmaid's Tale and the new A Teacher.

But Hulu also has a great live TV offering, with dozens of channels — including locals.

Starting Dec. 18, 2020, the live service runs $64.99 a month and also includes the full on-demand catalog. For $70.99 you can get rid of most commercials in the on-demand shows.

Hulu with Live TV also has optional add-ons for things like HBO, Cinemax, Showtime and STARZ, enhanced DVR, and additional live channels. (Also be sure to check out YouTube TV vs. Hulu.)

YouTube TV

Google's YouTube TV is available just about everywhere these days, and that's good because it's an excellent option for live TV. Plus it's simple. It's got a single plan for $65 a month, with loads of channels .

Plus it's got a bunch of optional add-ons for things like NBA League Pass, Showtime, STARZ, HBO, CuriosityStream, Fox Soccer Plus, and more.

And the kicker? You can share your YouTube TV subscription with up to five other family members — each has their own account, and each gets unlimited cloud DVR.

AT&T TV

AT&T TV Now isn't accepting new subscribers, but AT&T TV is. The difference is mostly semantic. AT&T TV is IP-based and in addition to having its own hardware to plug into your TV, it also allows you to watch on most major streaming platforms via an app.

But that doesn't mean it's a bad streaming service. AT&T TV Now has more options than just about any other service. More channels. More add-ons. Plans start at $50 a month for its thinnest package (though it does include HBO) and top out at a whopping $135 a month, and you've got options for premium add-ons.

And if you're an AT&T Wireless subscriber, there's a good chance you're eligible for a discount.

FuboTV — the No. 6 live TV streaming service in the United States that has a heavy lean toward live sports — today announced that it's increasing its plan that will ultimately launch a sportsbook by 2022 and is acquiring sports betting and online gaming company Vigtory.

Terms of the deal, which is expected to close by April 2021, were not disclosed.

FuboTV previously acquired Balto Sports, which it will use to launch its free-to-play gaming experience in the summer of 2021. The scheme will be available to anyone — not just FuboTV subscribers, of which there are more than 545,000 as of the end of 2020. The gaming service will be a standalone app initially. It will be directly integrated into the FuboTV television experience later.

“We believe online sports wagering is a highly complementary business to our sports-first live TV streaming platform,” David Gandler, co-founder and CEO, fuboTV, said in a press release. “We don’t see wagering as simply an add-on product to fuboTV. Instead, we believe there is a real flywheel opportunity with streaming video content and interactivity. Our free to play gaming experience, which will be available to all consumers, will build further scale to fuboTV, essentially acting as another lead generator for driving subscribers to our streaming video platform and, ultimately, our sportsbook. We not only expect sports wagering to become a new line of business and source of revenue, but we also expect that it will increase user engagement on fuboTV resulting in higher ad monetization, better subscriber retention and reduced subscriber acquisition costs.”

FuboTV has seen significant growth in the run-up to going public in October 2020. While it still lags behind all the other live options in the United States, it now has a competitive slate of channels and competitive pricing, which starts at $64.99 a month. FuboTV also has a number of premium add-ons that bolster its live sports content — particularly international sports that you can't find on other services.

FuboTV also is available on every major streaming platform in the United States, including Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, smart TVs, and in web browsers.

“The addition of Vigtory to fuboTV is a pivotal event in the sports entertainment industry,” Scott Butera, co-CEO of Vigtory, said in the press release. “As sports fans increasingly desire interactive sports events, sports betting and related businesses such as iGaming and free to play contests have become a critical component of fan engagement. Combining fuboTV’s broad and deep offering of live streamed sporting events with Vigtory’s world-class sports betting products creates the ultimate sports betting experience for consumers.”

FuboTV — which just announced higher-than-expected earnings and subscriber growth for the fourth quarter of 2020 — has quietly killed off its least-expensive streaming plan option.

The $60-a-month "Standard" plan — which already was buried pretty deep on its site — has been removed entirely, FuboTV has confirmed.

That effectively means FuboTV has enacted a price increase for new subscribers, with the $65-a-month "Family Plan" now the least expensive option. With that plan you'll get 115 channels, 250 hours of cloud-based DVR, and the ability to watch on three devices at once. (That's actually a few more channels than the Family Plan had previously, so that's a good thing.)

Subscribers who currently are the less-expensive "Standard" plan will keep that pricing, FuboTV told us over email. When asked, there was no mention of any sort of grandfathering period.

That doesn't mean FuboTV isn't still a viable option. That Family Plan price is still in line with other major competitors. Hulu With Live TV (4.1 million subscribers) and YouTube TV (3 million-plus subscribers) — the No. 1 and No. 2 live TV streaming services in the United States, respectively — each cost $65 a month. FuboTV is much lower on that food chain, at 545,000 subscribers — sixth on our list of the biggest live streaming TV options in the United States.

And the FuboTV Elite Plan, which weighs in at $79.99 a month, now sports some 159 channels in that package, plus another 44 channels of "Fubo Extra," 1,000 hours of cloud-based DVR, and the ability to stream on up to five devices at once.

Sling TV still undercuts everyone, though, with its $30 Orange and Blue plans. (They're just $40 if you buy them together.) But that price increases as you add on the "Extra" options for additional channels.

FuboTV remains an excellent option for sports fans, especially now that it has ESPN. It's also still the only live streaming service in the U.S. to offer some sports in (upscaled) 4K resolution, and it's got a strong contingent of premium sports add-ons that you can't find on there services.

FuboTV today announced preliminary fourth-quarter earnings numbers and says the it expects to end 2020 with even more subscribers than it anticipated. 

When the final numbers are official, FuboTV will have more than 545,000 subscribers as of the end of 2020, up 72 percent year over year. (FuboTV previously had expected to see between 500,000 and 510,000 subscribers.) The addition of 90,000 subscribers in the quarter represents a nearly 20 percent increase from Q3 to Q4.

“FuboTV’s strong preliminary fourth quarter 2020 results exceeded what was already expected to be a record year for the company, and demonstrate continued consumer excitement for the company’s live TV streaming offering,” David Gandler, co-founder and CEO of fuboTV, said in a press release. “In 2021, we will continue to be laser focused on executing our growth strategies, which include continuing to grow advertising revenues, working to implement sports wagering into our product and further establishing fuboTV as a leader in sports and live streaming.”

The increase in subscribers still leaves FuboTV at the tail end of our list of the largest live TV streaming services in the United States, but it's continuing to gain ground on AT&T TV Now, which is the next largest with 683,000 subscribers as of Sept. 30, 2020. (AT&T will announce its Q4 2020 earnings on Jan. 27, 2021.)

In addition to the subscriber growth information, FuboTV says it expects Q4's total revenue to between $94 million and $98 million, an increase of 77 percent to 84 percent year over year. The company's previous guidance expected between $80 million and $85 million in revenue.

FuboTV is a competitive option in the live TV arena, with more than 95 linear channels available with plans starting at $59.99 a month. It also has a bevy of premium add-ons that offer a number of international sports, making a must-try service for sports fans. It also is the only live streaming service in the U.S. that offers the occasional sporting event in (upscaled) 4K resolution.

FuboTV — a small but growing option for live streaming TV — has added the EPIX suite of channels as a premium option. The movie service costs $5.99 a month, but you can get it for just $2.99 a month if you sign up in the next 30 days.

In addition to the main EPIX channel, you'll also get EPIX 2 and EPIX Hits.

“Adding EPIX allows fuboTV to further expand our entertainment offering, providing even more value to our users,” Ben Grad, head of content strategy and acquisition for fuboTV, said in a press release. “From original series and documentaries, to an extensive library of movies; EPIX has a robust lineup that spans across a variety of genres, providing entertainment the whole family can enjoy.”

The live EPIX channels aren't all you're getting, either. You'll also have access to thousands of pieces of content on EPIX's video-on-demand in the coming weeks.

FuboTV, if you've yet to check it out, is a competitive option in the same vein as Hulu With Live TV, YouTube TV and Sling TV. It has three main plans: FuboTV Standard starts at $59.99 a month for 95 channels, 30 hours of cloud-based DVR, and the ability to watch on two screens at once. (It's also one of the only streaming services to carry The Weather Channel.)

The next plan up is Fubo Family, which keeps the same FuboTV channels but increases your DVR to 500 hours and adds a third simultaneous screen. It costs $64.99 a month.

Fubo Elite, meanwhile, gets you 153 channels for $79.99 a month, 1,000 hours in the DVR, and up to five simultaneous streams.

FuboTV also has a wealth of add-on options — particularly if you're a fan of international sports. It's available on most every major streaming platform, including Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV and more.

The PlayStation 5 is here! And it's even money that you've either got one, got one on the way, or are trying to find one. But questions remain. Questions like whether you can watch FuboTV on PlayStation 5.

Unfortunately, there's nothing but bad news on that front, at least as the PS5 initially launches. FuboTV is not available on PlayStation 5. (Or PS4, for that matter.)

We've reached out to FuboTV to see if there's any movement on this front, and whether it has plans to get FuboTV onto the PlayStation platform. Theoretically that should be less of a political minefield now that Sony has shut down its PlayStation Vue streaming service, but we've still gone through the bulk of 2020 without FuboTV being available on PlayStation.

That's not to say that there aren't relatively inexpensive workarounds. You can snag a third-generation Chromecast for just $30, which will let you stream FuboTV that way. But that tops out at 1080p resolution, and one of the more important features of FuboTV is that it has some live sports in upscaled 4K resolution. So for that you'd want to go with the $50 Chromecast with Google TV.

Chromecast with Google TV is the option that not only includes 4K support, but it also has a full built-in operating system — that's the new Google TV — plus a full remote control, so it's easier than ever to fire up the FuboTV directly and not through your phone. (Same goes for most every other streaming service, too.)

So, yes, you'll need a separate bit of streaming kit for now to watch FuboTV alongside PlayStation 5, but you can do so relatively inexpensively.

FuboTV, which at the time of this writing has nearly a half-million subscribers, features a competitive lineup of live channels, a number of add-on services, and a price that competes with the big boys. And as mentioned above, FuboTV has some sports in upscaled 4K via Fox Sports, which is an excellent way to watch, if possible. (Yes, it's not the same as true source-fed 4K, but it's absolutely better than 1080p. You have to see it to believe it.)

FuboTV today announced its earnings for the third quarter of 2020 — and announced that it now has some 455,000 subscribers.

That keeps it at the tail end of our list of the largest live streaming television services in the United States, but also has it gaining significantly on AT&T TV Now, which sported some 683,000 subscribers as of Sept. 30, 2020. (And it's mostly been shedding subscribers the past couple years.)

FuboTV, which went public in October 2020, has been on the upswing. Its channel lineup is competitive. And while its packages became more expensive halfway through 2020, it still remains a solid option for those looking for something other than YouTube TV or Hulu With Live TV.

Everything is up and to the right. Revenue came in at $61.2 million, up 47 percent year over year. Subscription revenue was up 64 percent year over year at $53.4 million. And advertising revenue was up 153 percent year over year to $7.5 million.

“Q3 was the strongest quarter in fuboTV’s history, exceeding targets in all of our key metrics," David Gandler, co-founder and CEO of FuboTV, said in a press release. "A heavy sports calendar, busy news cycle and Hollywood’s fall entertainment season delivered many viewing options for consumers. We continued to grow fuboTV’s premium, personal viewing experience with the launch of new product features and new programming including Disney Media Networks (ABC, ESPN, many more), MLB Network, NBC News Now and more.”

Along with its Q3 earnings, FuboTV also announced that it has new content agreements with EPIX and STARZ and will offer premium subscriptions by the end of the year.

Fubo says its monthly active users watched an average of 121 hours per month for the quarter, up 20 percent year over year. Total content streamed came in at 133.3 million hours, up 83 percent. That includes both paid subscriptions and free trials.

Fubo's big claim to fame has been that it's offered some sporting events in upscaled 4K resolution. (No, it's not true 4K but, yes, it does make a difference.) That feature fell by the wayside while sports were shut down for the global pandemic, but 4K sports are back again now that leagues are in play. College football and the NFL are the only game in town for that, and you only get a couple of games per week in the higher resolution. Still, it's worth checking out.

The Standard package for FuboTV runs $59.99 a month. That'll get you 95 channels, 30 hours of cloud-based DVR, and the ability to stream on two devices at the same time. The next package up is Fubo Family, which ramps things up to 500 hours of DVR and three devices at once. Then there's Fubo Elite, which gives 153 channels, includes the Fubo Extra channels, 1,000 hours of DVR, and up to five devices at once.

Sports is where FuboTV really shines, though, and there are a number of add-on packages available on that front. That includes Sports Plus, which adds NFL RedZone, Stadium and others for $8.99 a month. There's also a cycling add-on, adventure add-on, Italian add-on and Spanish add-on. And if premium movies are more your thing, you can get Showtime for $10.99 a month, or AMC Premiere for $4.99 a month.

FuboTV today announced that it'll carry AT&T SportsNet on its base plan. That's a big deal for sports fans in the extended Pittsburgh area, which includes Pennsylvania and West Virginia, and portions of New York, Ohio and Maryland.

“We are thrilled to announce this deal with fuboTV and give fans even more options to watch the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins in their home market,” Nina Kinch, Vice President of Affiliate Relations for AT&T Sports Networks, said in a press release. “Both teams have enormous fan bases and we have had a lot of demand to bring these teams to OTT providers. We are very excited that customers will now have that option with fuboTV.”

The addition brings more than 225 live regular-season Pittsburgh Pirates (that's Major League Baseball) and Pittsburgh Penguins (that's the NHL) games to the streaming service.

“In talking with many fans over the past year, a recurring theme I have heard is the strong desire for expanded streaming options to watch our games, especially among families and young professionals,” said Travis Williams, President, Pittsburgh Pirates. “We appreciate AT&T’s SportsNet and fuboTV reaching an agreement to bring this additional option to our fans. Now family members who are seemingly constantly on the run and others that want to watch our games from any device, anywhere within our home territory have another option to do so.”

The only catch? You'll have to be within that AT&T SportsNet service area.

“As a sports-first live TV streaming platform, our goal is to offer consumers regional sports networks with leading local market position and full team coverage, at pricing customers can afford,” said Ben Grad, Head of Content Strategy and Acquisition for fuboTV. “Therefore, we are excited to bring full home coverage of Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins to their fans with our new agreement with AT&T Sports Networks. fuboTV is now a great choice for sports fans in Pittsburgh and, with our leading live sports, news and entertainment content portfolio, there is something for everyone at home to watch and enjoy.”

AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh will be a part of the Fubo Standard plan, which has more than 100 channels for $59.99 a month. The next step up is Fubo Family, which adds 500 hours of DVR and three screens at a time. Or there's Fubo Elite, which gets you more than 150 channels, 1,000 hours of the cloud-based DVR, and up to five streams at once for $79.99.

FuboTV is available on just about every modern hardware platform, and it's one of the few ways to watch the occasional sports event in upscaled 4K resolution.

The final round of the MLB Playoffs started off with a bang last night, so everyone wants to know how to watch Game 2 of the World Series 2020 live stream with Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Tampa Bay Rays. World Series 2020: Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Tampa Bay Rays MLB World Series Preview

The Los Angeles Dodgers (43-17) now hold a 1-0 series lead over the Rays, and that Game 1 win was a complete team effort. They had a mix of slugging and small ball to run up the score, putting up eight runs in bunches. Both Cody Bellinger and Mookie Betts hit home runs, while the bottom half of the batting order strung together key singles to produce a four run fifth inning. Pitcher Clayton Kershaw got the win with six innings of pitching with only one earned run.

In Game 2, the Dodgers will give the ball to pitcher Tony Gonsolin (2-2). He’s a second year player who has an outstanding career 2.60 earned run average, but this is his first ever postseason and he lost his only start to Braves in the Championship series. Can he tune out the pressure and bring the heat?

The Tampa Bay Rays (40-20) put up a fight in Game 1 of the World Series even if it didn’t go their way. Centerfielder Kevin Kiermaier hit a home run and drove in two runs on two hits, but he was the only Ray to have more than one hit. Additionally, the Rays batters only managed to draw one walk the entire game. The Braves managed to frustrate the Dodgers in the last round by working the count for long at bats, and that can lead to more walks. It’s a strategy the Rays should consider.

The Rays turn to starting pitcher Blake Snell to help them rebound in Game 2. Snell has had an excellent season and very good postseason, with a 3.38 earned run average this October. The bigger question will be if the hitters can step up at the plate and produce runs early.
