Jean Slater uncovers Dean Wicks' evil scheme to keep daughter Jade Green close in Monday's episode of EastEnders (7:30 pm. See our TV Guide for full listings).

Jean Slater is shocked when she discovers that Jade Green is out of hospital already and back in the Square. 

Things looked bad for teenager Jade, who is recovering from a lung transplant, after she collapsed with a chest infection at the charity auction.

When a reporter from The Gazette asks her dad Dean Wicks for an interview, he asks Jean to look after Jade. 

Despite the rapist's attempt to avoid the reporter from doing any digging, Dean's name is blackened by his victim Linda Carter's son Johnny Carter, who offers to tell the reporter exactly what kind of man Dean is!

Left alone with Jade, a suspicious Jean gently questions her, wanting to find out if something untoward is going on.

Jade is no idea that her scheming dad Dean has put her life at risk by secretly emptying the cases of her antibiotics down the sink, to keep her ill so she can't move away to Pakistan with her mum.

When Jean discovers the empty pill cases she is HORRIFIED and tries to hustle Jade out of the door, determined to take her home to the Slaters where she'll be safe.

Dean walks in and demands to know what's going on. 

Is Jean in danger? 

Zack Hudson is feeling guilty following his misguided drunken attempt to kiss Lauren Branning! After falling out with pregnant girlfriend Whitney, Zack moved in for a smooch when a kind Lauren gave him a chance to have a heart-to-heart.

The couple had been spending time in Milton Keynes visiting Whitney's step mum Bianca Jackson. Frustrated with Whitney's obsession over taking care of local latchkey kid Britney, Zack left Whitney behind to return to the Square alone when she refused to leave.

Zack was upset when she went behind his back to tell Britney's social worker that they wanted to foster her. With Whitney FINALLY due to return, Zack arranges a welcome home baby shower.

Terrified that Whitney will find out about his almost kiss with her best mate, he's awkward when he invites Lauren to the party along with her sister Penny Branning.

Lauren senses that Zack is on edge and pays him a visit, promising to keep quiet about what happened for Whitney and the baby's sake.

Things take an unexpected turn when Whitney arrives home with Britney in tow, revealing that she's her new foster mum. Zack is furious that she didn't tell him!

Callum Highway is feeling hurt that husband Ben Mitchell appears not to have bothered arranging anything for his birthday. 

Instead of voicing how he feels, he makes out he's not bothered to save face. When Jay Brown and Lexi Pearce give Ben an ear bashing for not doing something special for Callum, Ben decides to throw him a surprise party.

Callum walks in to his birthday bash and is genuinely surprised and touched by the effort that Ben has gone to.

Things take a shocking turn, however, when the police turn up to arrest Ben...

Also, Ravi Gulati is jealous when his ex Priya Nandra-Hart gets flirty with Martin Fowler. Elsewhere, Denzel is expecting a special delivery as his fitness obsession grows.

Jean Slater blacks out after a terrifying incident at the Slaters' in the New Year's Day episode of EastEnders (6:30 pm. see our TV Guide for full listings).

Jean Slater has shut herself away in her bedroom as the Slaters' New Year's Eve party starts to ramp up.

As the revellers fill the house, Jean is worried that the one person she wants to see more than anyone will stand her up.

After sharing a kiss with Harvey Monroe, Jean is concerned that he'll get cold feet and back off, considering their tricky relationship history.

When Nish Panesar and wife Suki Panesar arrive with a bottle of whisky for Eve Unwin, she's rattled. She remains cool, however and encourages them both to stay for the celebrations.

Harvey has turned up but Stacey Slater is alarmed to spot him showing Martin Fowler a suspiciously ring-shaped box! When Jean finds out she panics that Harvey is going to propose.

After the disaster that was their previous engagement when a bipolar Jean was going through a manic phase, she assures Stacey that she's no interest in getting married just yet.

It's close to midnight and as the clock counts down the revellers prepare to raise a glass to the New Year. Nish is trying to find Suki but she's nowhere to be found.

Something terrible is about to happen as Eve collapses...

After Eve's collapse, more of the revellers begin to fall ill. Lily Slater throws up then blacks out and Jean faints in Stacey's arms.

Bobby Beale raises the alarm and an ambulance is called. When the paramedics arrive they tell everyone to leave the house immediately as there's been a carbon monoxide leak.

In the hospital, a terrified Stacey sits her her daughter Lily's bedside, willing her to pull through...

Ricky Butcher reveals to Sonia Fowler that he's going to head back home to Germany. He invites Sam Mitchell to see in the New Year with him then suggests that maybe she could go to Germany with him.

The pair locks lips and things get steamy. Ricky has to nip out and while he's gone Sam gets a text from Phil.

Phil has been seeing in the New Year at Peggy's but his mood soon darkens and he delivers a serious threat.

Also, Whitney Dean is about to tell Zack Hudson that she wants to be with him when he gives her some shock news...

Jean Slater vows to settle herself back into normal life in Wednesday's episode of EastEnders (7:30 pm. see our TV Guide for full listings)

Jean Slater has been on pins since her return to Albert Square earlier in the week. After leaving hospital following treatment for her recent bipolar episode, she went to stay with Big Mo Harris in a caravan park.

When her daughter Stacey Slater accidentally spotted her while on a caravan holiday, Jean was forced to admit that she felt too embarrassed to return home.

With Stacey's help, Jean realised that she needed to go back to Walford and try to get on with her life. But her first few days have been hard going.

After spotting her former fiance Harvey Monroe she shut herself firmly inside the house, unable to face him or her neighbours. They were witness to her erratic behaviour before she was taken in for treatment.

Stacey's boyfriend Kheerat Panesar realises how much she's struggling and he's determined to help. Although Jean points out that Kheerat has his OWN fears to face over supporting his mum Suki Panesar.

The pair fell out spectacularly after Kheerat found out that she framed his brother Jags Panesar and got him sent to prison. No wonder Kheerat felt he couldn't forgive her, as Jags was shockingly murdered while he was inside.

After opening up to each other about their fears, the pair make a pact to face them. Jean agrees to leave the house if Kheerat will agree to look out for his struggling mum.

Meanwhile, Harvey is planning a leaving do for his daughter Dana Monroe. Her ex Bobby Beale and Rocky Cotton are on board to help. Dana is all set to begin her new life at university and Harvey wants to give her the perfect send off.

While planning the party, the subject of Jean comes up and Harvey insists he doesn't want her to be there. Unfortunately, Jean, who is in the market, has overheard. 

Billy Mitchell realises that Jean has been left upset by Harvey's comments and, concerned, he tells Eve Unwin.

An exasperated Eve warns Harvey to be more sensitive towards his ex and a guilty Harvey wonders if he should pluck up the courage to visit her.

Ravi Gulati pays Peggy's a mystery visit and Sam Mitchell is surprised to see him there. She assumes that he's in cahoots with drug dealer Jonah but Ravi reveals he needs a word with his former prison mate, Phil Mitchell.

When Ravi lets slip that he's associated with Suki Panesar, an unimpressed Sam tells him to get out. Determined to see Phil, Ravi heads to the Mitchells to wait for him to return home.

There's a moment of danger when Ravi ALMOST catches Phil on the phone to Keeble, who is pressuring him to keep his half of the bargain to let him out of prison by giving her some criminals' names.

Ravi has a request for Phil but will he agree to it?

Also, Phil calls a contact Dodge, asking them to get some dirt on Keeble.

Jean Slater reveals a familiar face to Stacey Slater in Wednesday's episode of EastEnders (7:30 pm. see our TV Guide for full listings).

Jean Slater is a rabbit in the headlights after being caught out at the caravan park by daughter Stacey Slater! Instead of giving Stacey some answers about why she was working as a waitress, she tries to escape.

Kheerat Panesar manages to convince Jean to talk things through with Stacey and explain exactly why she's at the caravan park without telling her.

There's another shock in store, however, as Jean is with Big Mo Harris! The former Albert Square resident hasn't been seen since waltzing off on a cruise last year.

Wanting to know why Jean is with Mo instead of staying with friends, as she'd agreed, Jean is evasive. As Stacey tries to persuade Jean to come home to Walford, it's soon clear that Jean is worried that everyone's been gossiping about her.

Her bipolar episode was pretty explosive and she explains that she's ashamed of the way she behaved. Stacey tries to soothe her fears but Jean is insistent that she can never go back to the Square.

Can Stacey talk her round?

Kheerat has left Stacey alone with Jean while he rushes back home. He's finally listened to the desperate voicemail left by mum Suki Panesar after she was being overpowered by Ranveer Gulati and realises that despite their falling out, he needs to help!

Meanwhile, Suki is in shock after hitting Ranveer over the head following his attack on her. When his son Ravi Gulati walks in he's stunned to see his dad's lifeless body.

Will Suki explain what she's done?

Amy Branning is in bits after Denzel and Nugget's teasing. When Chelsea Fox finds her crying, she explains what happened and Chelsea is fuming! 

A grim faced Chelsea finds the boys and puts them firmly in their place for being nasty to Amy.

It's no solace for Amy, however, as she feels self conscious about the comments they made.

Also, Bobby Beale is feeling miserable about mum Kathy Beale selling Walford East and he's grateful when a sympathetic Dana Monroe offers to meet him for a drink.

Stacey Slater visits her mum, Jean in hospital after her recent bi-polar episode. But, Stacey is shocked and upset when Jean begs her to get her out.

When Stacey sees another patient called Ruth winding Jean up, she's conflicted, but she sticks to her guns and tells Jean that the hospital is the best place for her to be. However, Jean is devastated by the news.

It's a dramatic day on the Square as Kathy Beale and Callum Highway are furious after discovering Ben Mitchell's vigilante antics. But, Ben attempts to defend his actions and shows no remorse for what he has done.

Kathy tries to support Callum, but what will he do? Will he report his husband to the police? Could this be the end of their marriage once and for all?

Meanwhile, Albert bar manager Lewis and Ben are getting drunk at Ruby's, where Ben tells him everything. How will he react?

After a heated exchange with Janine Butcher, Linda Carter returns to Sharon Watts' ready to drink, which leaves Jada Lennox fuming.

As Linda struggles to cope with her alcohol addiction, Mick Carter and Janine bump into a very drunk Linda while out on their date night.

At the same time, Denise Fox is reeling from the salon robbery as her conflict with Sam Mitchell continues.

Denise's sister, Kim also has stress on her shoulders as she's anxious that the burglars could be after her and recruits Howie to protect her.

Stuart Highway discovers that Mitch Baker has been helping his wife Rainie with baby Roland and is worried when he sees how good Mitch is. Later on, Rainie leaves Roland with a tense Stuart. How will he get on?

Jean Slater catches Harvey Monroe off guard with a surprise proposal in Monday's episode of EastEnders (7:30 pm. see our TV Guide for full listings).

After Martin takes Jean home to Sharon Watts', she gushes about her night, revealing she spent most of her time having fun with a group of guys on a stag do!

Despite being up all night, Jean is still full of beans and she rummages through guest Linda Carter's suitcase, admiring some of her outfits.

Jean's daughter Stacey Slater arrives and tells Jean she's got her a doctor's appointment for Friday. This doesn't go down well with Jean, who storms out.

Meanwhile, Harvey Monroe is stewing over his break up with Jean but is shocked when son Aaron Monroe's nasty thug of an associate Neil Hughes gets into his cab. Neil tells Harvey that he has something he wants him to do and he makes it clear Harvey won't like the consequences if he refuses.

Jean interrupts their stand off, wanting to clear things up with Harvey. But shaken by Neil's threats, Harvey fobs her off and insists that it's over between them.

When Jean sees the groom from the stag party getting married, she's delighted. Having had quite enough of Jean's company, he makes sure she catches the bride's bouquet as a way to get rid of her.

This suddenly gives Jean a surprising idea... 

She finds Harvey and asks him to marry her!

Nancy Carter stays the night with Zack Hudson but it means a VERY awkward encounter the next day, as Linda Carter is staying at Sharon's. 

Although Linda tries to talk to her daughter, Nancy makes it clear that her recent boozy behaviour has pushed her too far.

When Nancy later finds a bottle of booze stashed in Linda's case, but tucked next to a photograph of the Carter family in happier times, she consumed by an attack of the guilts. 

Feeling bad for abandoning her alcoholic mum she finds Linda and tries to make peace. Will Linda accept?

Ben Mitchell is rattled when Callum Highway casually tells him that he's been asked to be the face of an LGBT+ campaign at work.

He's clearly still on edge over the homophobic attack that left Callum in a bad way. But Kathy Beale's new bar manager at the Albert congratulates Callum and enthuses about the idea. It puts Ben on the back foot and he's forced to put on a brave face.

Callum, however, knows his husband and can tell that Ben isn't best pleased about the idea.

Later, Ben is alarmed when he hears a loud noise at the club, as memories are stirred about Callum's attack.

Also, Stuart Highway is due to go in for surgery and confesses to wife Rainie Highway how worried he is that he may get addicted to painkillers again.

Gillian Wright, who plays EastEnders favourite Jean Slater was spotted filming scenes for the soap at the Adventure Island theme park in Southend on Tuesday, March. 15.

Jean was pictured running through the park in a wedding dress, looking visibly panicked, but who is she running from and why is she wearing a wedding dress? Could she be marrying new man Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) despite only being together for a few weeks? 

Over recent episodes, Jean’s daughter Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), has become worried about Jean’s deteriorating mental health and has expressed concerns over her mum’s welfare.

Jean, who has bipolar, has recently pursued a relationship with Harvey and it seems her mental health may be getting worse after she stole money from Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) to fund a trip away.

But now it seems that Jean will flee Walford, with Stacey and former son-in-law Martin Fowler (James Bye) giving chase.

In upcoming episodes, Jean pressures Stacey into telling Arthur the truth about his father, Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami), after they recently discovered that he was murdered by serial killer Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith).

Later on, Stacey is increasingly worried about Jean’s condition and is anxious when Jean tells her that she is planning a surprise for the children. 

Stacey is horrified when Jean blocks the market by buying a bouncy castle for the kids and Jean soon jumps into the bouncy castle herself, keen on joining in on the fun.

However, things soon take a turn for the worst when Jean accidentally hurts her grandson Arthur and a mortified Stacey attempts to evict Jean from the bouncy castle. 

Things only get worse when Harvey decides to join Jean, which angers Stacey as she feels as though he doesn’t really understand Jean’s condition.

The mother and daughter’s relationship is set to become even more strained when Stacey bans Jean from seeing the children until she’s seen a doctor, which sparks a huge row.

After Jean confronts Kat about Stacey’s demand, Jean manages to escape to the tube station with Arthur and tells him what happened to Kush. 

With the help of Martin, Stacey finds Jean and Arthur, but is destroyed by what Jean has done, will the pair ever manage to move forward from this?

Jean Slater is hurt that daughter Stacey Slater has banned her from looking after the children on her own, as she's worried about her mental health. Jean confronts Kat Slater and tells her that Stacey's being unfair and she's more than capable of looking after the kids.

Defying Stacey, Jean sneaks out with Stacey's son Arthur Fowler. She takes him to the tube station and she reveals to him that his dad Kush Kazemi was pushed off a tube platform by killer Gray Atkins.

A panicking Stacey has been searching for Jean with Martin Fowler and when they finally find them she's horrified that Jean's told Arthur the truth about his dad. Laying into Jean for what she's done, things soon start to get nasty.

Later, Jean turns up at Harvey Monroe's place with a packed bag, telling him that she's moving in with him and Rocky Cotton. Stacey is dead to her!

Suki Panesar is frustrated when she finds out from her imprisoned son Kheerat Panesar's lawyer that he's planning on pleading guilty to his charges. She begs his lawyer to find a way to get Kheerat out of prison.

After Dotty Cotton hears what Kheerat's planning to do, she talks to Sonia Fowler and asks her for some money. Sonia is persuaded and Dotty confronts Eve Unwin, asking for her some legal advice to help Kheerat.

Zack Hudson is looking forward to his lads' night out with Martin Fowler. But Zack is suspicious that a shift Jada Lennox is up to something... 

After the boys go out, Jada's mates come over for her party. Will Mitchell turns up as well, but it seems that no one else is going to turn up after all. What has happened?

Sonia Fowler realises that something's going on at Sharon's and she pops over to find out. She puts an end to the 'party', chucking out Jada's mates and dragging Will back home.

Zack finds out what's been going on and is disappointed that Jada broke his trust. She begs him not to tell Sharon but what will he do?

EastEnders legend Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) had viewers howling with laughter during last night’s episode (Monday, Feb. 7) after receiving some expert advice from Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) on how he gets people to do what he wants. Now, from drug dealer to mafia boss, it looks like Jean's days as a cleaner are over!

Recently, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) embarked on a new business venture by launching a food van on the market. Jean was ecstatic to see that her daughter was getting her life back on track and was eager for Stacey to excel at the new business.

The market traders soon learned that Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) was given the new role of market inspector and, after seeking some much-needed advice from Phil on how he gets people to do what he wants in business, Jean came up with a cunning plan on how to persuade Honey to give Stacey a prime spot on the market.

Dressed in a fur-trimmed coat and hat, with purple sunglasses and leather gloves to complete her new look, Jean went out on her mission to bribe Honey with a homemade cake for the best spot on the market... 

“I need you to listen very carefully because I am going to tell you this once,” Jean warned Honey.

Honey and Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) were puzzled as to what Jean was up to, questioning if she was okay, to which Jean responded with: “I will be when Honey gives Stacey the best pitch on the market.”

“And why would I do that?” Honey asked.

“Because I’m asking… Sorry, telling you to and because I am giving you this,” Jean hilariously replied, forcing Honey to take the cake tin.

Honey refused the bribe, but Jean wasn’t having any of it, saying: “You wouldn’t insult me by refusing my present, would you?” before shoving it in her arms. “Good. I’m glad we agreed on this because I wouldn’t want things to get nasty.”

Jean marched off, with Billy relieved that it was a cake in the tin rather than a horse’s head. However, Jean’s mastermind plan backfired when a fuming Stacey yelled at her for making things worse and landing her a place next to the fish stall on Turpin Road instead. It looks like Jean is more of a cake boss than a mob boss!

Fans on social media couldn’t stop laughing at Jean’s actions, with one even calling her the 'Godmother of Albert Square'.

EastEnders stars Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) and Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) have been teased as surprising new love interests in scenes set to air in the soap next week.

The Walford residents find themselves forming an alliance when Jean accidentally breaks Kat Slater’s (Jessie Wallace) new ceramic leopard in the cab office just after Kat had been proudly showing it off and had left.

As Jean panics and scrambles to find a way to repair it, Harvey and Vinny Panesar both kindly swoop in to help her fix it.

While they repair the leopard, romance begins to blossom between Jean and Harvey, but things soon turn awkward when Harvey’s son, Aaron (Charlie Wernham) turns up and makes remarks about them dating.

Before Kat suspects anything, the pair of masterminds quickly put the statue back in the right place, and Harvey soon drops a bombshell and asks Jean out! What will Jean say?

Harvey’s time in Walford has not been smooth sailing since his arrival on the Square earlier this year. After finding out that his daughter, Dana (Barbara Smith) was dating killer Bobby Beale, (Clay Milner Russell) he has been struggling to accept the relationship. 

At one point, Harvey had managed to get his head around the relationship, but that was soon shattered when Dana was involved in a hate attack and Bobby struggled to help her.

As for romance on the Square, Harvey had a short romantic entanglement with Bobby’s grandmother, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth).

He was also sacked from his job at the cab office for saying a racist remark to Ash but managed to get his job back after Ash had a word with Kat.

However, things could turn nasty for Harvey as Aaron has been acting suspiciously, especially around Bobby, and was seen washing blood off his hands. In more scenes set to air next week, Harvey finds Aaron’s shirt covered in blood and is disturbed when Aaron asks him to be his alibi.

Recently for Jean, she’s been ecstatic that her daughter Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) is back home after being wrongly imprisoned. But she was left fuming after finding out that Stacey got married to her cellmate Eve Unwin (Heather Peace), who then moved in with them, which has caused tension for the Slater family.

Jean Slater may have accidentally told Zack Hudson her big secret in Thursday’s episode of EastEnders (7.35 pm, see our TV Guide for full listings).

Jean Slater is sure that Mo Harris is up to no good, as Mo prepares to go cruising with Fat Elvis.

She catches her behaving in a VERY shifty manner around the garage when a police car pulls up.

As Jean goes to say goodbye to Mo, she has a sudden pang about Mo leaving. With her terrible secret about her cancer fears weighing heavily on her mind, she mumbles under her breath that she may not be around when Mo returns.

Zack Hudson is curious when he overhears Jean’s cryptic words and later he sees an agitated Jean in the Queen Vic.

After Jean and Kat Slater say their goodbyes to Mo, Zack pulls Jean to one side.

He asks her what she meant by her mumbled comment, but Jean refuses to divulge any more information.

But Jean is grateful when Zack says if there’s anything he can do to help her out, he will. Has she got a task for him?

Kat's words of wisdom 

Phil Mitchell really knows how to hold a grudge and it doesn’t look like he’s going to forgive his new son-in-law Callum Highway anytime soon. Still furious over Callum’s betrayal, when he spots him in the cafe he turns on his heel and walks straight out.

With Phil still brooding over Callum’s lies, girlfriend Kat Slater sees he’s hurting. She encourages him to make amends with his son Ben Mitchell and not to push him and Callum away.

While she’s on the subject of sons, Kat also points out that he should ask Denise Fox to be more involved in their young son Raymond’s life.

It’s a dad kind of a day for Phil, as notwithstanding his troubles with his own sons, Kat’s two boys Bert and Ernie have a question to ask him.

The pair are feeling miserable that their dad Alfie Moon isn’t around to come to the ‘Bring Your Dad Day’ at school, so they ask a surprised Phil to come along!

Linda Carter is recovering after her frightening collapse and trip to the hospital.

But it’s getting increasingly difficult to keep Nancy in the dark about her pregnancy. Nancy, in fact, knows her mum only too well and realises she’s hiding something.

When she confronts Linda and demands to know what’s up, will Linda be able to tell her the truth?

Furious with Sharon calling them out, Jean takes her frustrations out on a delivery van. When the driver gets out, Jean clambers into the van and refuses to leave!

The horrified van driver insists that the police will be called. Instead of the threat forcing Jean to back down, she says bring it on! 

Things are about to get a whole lot worse, however, when Jean starts up the van and crashes it. Mo is stunned. Will Jean be arrested?

Kush Kazemi is less than impressed that with Stacey Fowler away from the Square, his son Arthur Fowler has moved in with ex-step dad Martin Fowler and his duplicitous wife Ruby Fowler.

Ruby is also not overjoyed that she’s had all of Martin’s kids and step kids dumped on her. While at work, events take an alarming turn when Ruby sees something on her phone and rushes back home.

She arrives to find Stacey’s kids Lily Slater and Hope Fowler chopping up her late mum’s wedding dress. Appalled, Ruby insists that enough is enough and she wants a troublesome Lily out of her house.

Sheree Trueman can’t help meddling in her family’s lives and she has some words of warning for son Isaac Baptiste’s girlfriend Lola Pearce. Sheree insists that Lola keep news of Isaac’s condition from his dad Patrick Trueman, as she doesn’t want him upset. She also warns her not to break Isaac’s heart in case it makes him relapse.

After Sheree later forbids Patrick from taking part in a clinical trial for stroke medication, Isaac finds out that she’s been laying things on the line with Lola. Frustrated, he tells his interfering mum that if Patrick wants to go on the trial then it’s his decision - not hers.

Iqra Ahmed is horrified when Kim Fox blithely tells her that the romantic shoot of her and Mila has been posted online. Knowing that it could jeopardise things for Mila, she insists it’s taken down.

Breaking the news to Mila, Iqra is concerned when she freaks out. Lavishing her with apologies, Iqra is relieved when she calms down. But is she as fine as she’s making out?

Also, Sharon Beale bumps into Kheerat Panesar in the Minute Mart and they arrange to go for a drink.

Jean Slater reassures Stacey Slater over her future, Gray Atkins drives a wedge between Whitney Dean and Kush Kazemi, and Ben Mitchell takes revenge

Jean Slater is on a mission to help Stacey Slater in Thursday’s first episode of EastEnders (7.40 pm, see our TV Guide for full listings).

Jean Slater is feeling anxious ahead of daughter Stacey Slater’s appointment with the lawyer. She later catches up with Ruby Fowler and demands to know what she’s going to do.

Ruby tells a relieved Jean that she’ll call DS Barnes and drop the charges against Stacey.

Stacey is sitting down with the lawyer, who tells her that she can get the sentence down to six months if she pleads guilty to pushing Ruby down the stairs.

Jean bursts in and tells her that Ruby is dropping the case.

Surprised, Stacey wants to talk to Ruby herself but a panicky Jean tells her not to, insisting she needs to stay away from her.

At the club, Ruby leaves a message for DI Barnes saying she needs to talk.

Ruby and her husband Martin Fowler have an appointment with the doctor to talk about her fertility.

The couple are devastated when they learn that she seems to have endometriosis and it could have implications for her fertility in the future.

Kush Kazemi plans a day out with girlfriend Whitney Dean and his son Arthur Fowler to talk about his future. When he bumps into Whitney’s employer Gray Atkins, he tells him what he’s up to.

Gray advises Kush to talk to Arthur alone about his possible prison sentence. Whitney is left disappointed when Kush cancels their date but she is understanding. When she tells Gray that she’s available to look after his kids after all, Gray hides his triumph. 

Later, Gray is shocked when he gets a call from the children’s school to say that there’s been trouble with his son Mack and a teacher will visit to talk to him.

Whitney offers a concerned Gray her support. He uses the opportunity to plant seeds of doubt in her mind about her relationship with Kush.

Also, Callum Highway is turning 30 and boyfriend Ben Mitchell and friend Lexi Pearce are determined to help him celebrate.

They set up a party so he can say goodbye to his twenties.

But is Ben about to ruin things for Callum when he helps Kheerat Panesar take revenge on the Minute Mart thief?

Jean Slater is stunned after a visit to the hospital but she is worried about how it will affect her relationship with Daniel Cook

Jean Slater makes a bittersweet discovery in Thursday’s episode of EastEnders (7.30 pm, see our TV Guide for full listings).

The day of Jean Slater’s oncology appointment, she’s feeling overly anxious. When it looks like she’s going to try to get out of going to the hospital, Daniel Cook forces her to go. At the appointment, Jean is overwhelmed when she’s told the fantastic news that her MRI scan has come back clear of cancer.

Jean heads home to the Square. Although she’s delighted about her good news, she doesn’t want to tell Daniel following his promise that he’d wait to die until after she got her results. Pretending that she hasn’t got the result yet, Jean is horrified when Mo Harris lets slip to Daniel that Jean has been given the all clear.

A happy Daniel suggests to Jean they get some fresh air and they sit together in the Albert Square gardens. Leaving Daniel on the bench, Jean heads off to fetch him a drink. But when she returns she is stunned by what she finds…
