Parthenon, a popular Greek restaurant in Washington, D.C., was the first restaurant to be featured in Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service. Was Ramsay able to help the struggling business and turn things around? Is Parthenon still open? Here's what we know.

Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service is a departure from Kitchen Nightmares in that the celebrity chef is being called to restaurants by an unknown insider informant and given behind-the-scenes access so as to help the struggling businesses to overcome challenges.

In the case of Parthenon, the insider revealed that the owner and family patriarch has been letting things go at his restaurant for years. Parthenon has been struggling to stay afloat while the family works to keep it running, and they needed Ramsay's help to see that his family, and his son in particular, are ready and willing to step up and take over.

Here's the episode description from the May 21 episode: "In Gordon Ramsay’s all-new series, Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service, Gordon infiltrates struggling restaurants under the cover of night with the help of a secret insider to gather raw, unfiltered evidence and get a 360-degree view of the major issues facing each restaurant. In his first mission, Gordon spies on Parthenon, a beloved family-run Greek restaurant in Washington, D.C. Once a pillar of the community, this restaurant’s decor, utilities, and hygienics are severely out of date. Gordon’s assignment: embolden the owner to modernize and pass the torch of his nearly four-decade legacy to his son."

We're happy to report that as of this writing, Parthenon is still open.

We took a look at the restaurant's website, which features a very enticing menu for the restaurant and a separate pub menu for the bar.

As of publication, the restaurant holds a 4.5-star rating on Google Reviews (425 reviews), with many diners praising the great food and staff. One longtime customer lamented the changes in the Greek salad while another guest noted in a 4-star review that the bread was "meh," leading to a comment from Junior and the Parthenon staff asking for feedback to make sure they earn the fifth star next time around. That same guest added that "the restaurant just got an extreme makeover by Gordon Ramsay and is definitely worth a visit," leading the owners to mention how proud they are to be "part of the recent transformation" with Ramsay.

Needless to say, we're thrilled to know Parthenon is thriving after Gordon Ramsay's intervention!

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is known for his no-holds-barred approach, and in the case of Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service episode "Caffe Boa," his tough love approach was needed to get through to the owner, Patrick, who refused to believe that his management style was the cause of his restaurant's problems. So was Ramsay able to help Caffe Boa? Is Caffe Boa still open?

Caffe Boa Ahwatukee is located in Phoenix, Ariz. Husband and wife co-owners Patrick and Jenny have been working hard since purchasing the restaurant in 2021, but things have not gone well; Jenny isn't a cook but she's serving as executive chef and Patrick's harsh, "I-wish-AI-could-replace-workers" (his words) mindset, wasn't helping to foster a healthy working environment. That's why an insider from Caffe Boa reached out to Ramsay, asking for help to turn things around.

Here's the episode description: "Caffe Boa, an Italian bistro which prides itself on delivering home-style cooking, is deteriorating from within. Utilizing his high-tech surveillance capabilities, Gordon exposes the toxic working relationship between married co-owners. While the husband is considered ‘Front of House Manager,’ his wife is stationed in the kitchen without prior professional cooking experience. He continues to disrespect his partner, as well as the rest of the staff. Gordon’s assignment: persuade the stubborn owner to change his poor practices in order to restore his business and his marriage."

As of this writing, Caffe Boa is still open.

The Caffe Boa wasn't an easy episode to watch. There was a lot of strife in the restaurant and so much tension between Patrick and Jenny that even Ramsay could hardly break through. After some big changes were implemented, the whole establishment turned a new page and embarked on a much healthier journey.

The Caffe Boa menu boasts Build Your Own Boa Bowls, panini sandwiches, Italian fried chicken, tortellini bolognese and more.

According to Google Reviews, Caffe Boa still boasts the 4.6-star rating (754 reviews as of publication) that Patrick bragged about in one of the cringier moments of the episode. "The whole dining experience was phenomenal!" one reviewer raved while another guest noted that "the staff is so knowledgeable, welcoming and fun."

It sounds like things have really turned around at Caffe Boa, and we're glad to see that Gordon Ramsay was once again able to work his magic.

In Kitchen Nightmares season 9, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay traveled to Louisiana and Texas to help struggling restaurants stay open and turn their businesses around. Now that the season is over, you might be wondering about what's next. So, is there going to be a Kitchen Nightmares season 10? Here's what we know.

Fox has not released any information about a potential tenth season for the popular restaurant rescue show, but that doesn't mean it won't happen. In fact, Fox announced Kitchen Nightmares season 9 in November 2024, just two months ahead of the show's January 2025 premiere.

Unlike Ramsay's other shows like Next Level Chef, which received a two season pickup shortly after the new season premiered, Fox tends to keep Kitchen Nightmares closer to the vest. We know that Ramsay, who has been working with Fox Television Network for 20 years, has several other shows with the network, including the iconic Hell's Kitchen and Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars. With that in mind, it feels like a fair bet that there will be more episodes of Kitchen Nightmares in the future, even if Fox doesn't announce it right away.

Kitchen Nightmares season 9 was special because Ramsay spent half the season in New Orleans offering help to struggling local restaurants in hopes of preparing them for a surge of visitors ahead of Super Bowl LIX. Once the big game was over, Ramsay traveled to Texas to help restaurant owners overcome their obstacles to stay in business.

In season 9, Ramsay had a 90% success rate; of the 10 restaurants he worked with over the course of the season, only one, Kindred, ended up closing its doors. All of the others remain open as of this writing.

Hit cooking show Kitchen Nightmares season 9 is proving one of 2025's best cooking shows, with Gordon Ramsay returning to his role of fixing struggling restaurants.

This season sees Ramsay focus on eateries linked to Super Bowl LIX, which took place in New Orleans in February. He wants to fix them, but will these establishments play ball?

That was for the first half of the season, at least, and episodes after the football showdown moved over to Austin and Houston, for the second half of the season.

To watch episodes of Kitchen Nightmare season 9, you'll have to tune in to Fox. Episodes air every Tuesday at 8 pm ET/PT.

The Super Bowl wa on Sunday, February 9, and that's when the series ticked over from New Orleans to Texas restaurants.

Fox is available in a variety of ways: you can use a TV antenna, your typical cable pay-TV provider or using a live TV streaming service. Most of the latter options include it like Sling TV, Fubo, YouTube TV and Hulu with Live TV. The former is the cheapest but the latter might be your best pick if you aren't sure you'll watch each episode live, for reasons we'll get into in the next section.

Depending on where you live, you might be able to watch Kitchen Nightmares outside of the US, but it's not reliable.

Viewers in the UK will be able to watch Kitchen Nightmares season 9 on Channel 4, the free streaming service (and possibly the TV channel too). However we don't have an exact release date just yet, and we'll likely have to wait until all episodes of season 9 are out.

Select other regions may offer Kitchen Nightmares season 9, but most don't have confirmed release information. You may need to use a VPN for streaming to watch it, in that case.

Fans love tuning in to see celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay transform struggling restaurants on Kitchen Nightmares season 8. It's appointment television for lots of people, so you might be asking yourself, is Kitchen Nightmares on this Monday, October 30? Read on for important scheduling information for the beloved cooking show. 

Fox will be in the thick of MLB's World Series on Monday, October 30, with the Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks tied at one game apiece going into Game 3. That means there will be no new episode of Kitchen Nightmares or Special Forces season 2. (We're still confirming whether a rerun of one or both shows will air for West Coast viewers if the game happens to end early; as soon as we have this information, we’ll have it for you right here.) 

The next new episode of Kitchen Nightmares will be the "Juicy Box" on November 6. That episode that was originally scheduled to air on October 23.

So far this season, Gordon Ramsay has helped four struggling restaurants — the Bel Aire Diner, Bask 46, In the Drink and Da Mimmo — and after their transformations all three restaurants have seen a great deal of success. Though he's known for being tough and gruff on Hell’s Kitchen, Ramsay balances tough love and a healthy dose of reality for restaurant owners in Kitchen Nightmares while also being compassionate and sympathetic to the challenging situations that led to their struggles.

This is a great time for Gordon Ramsay fans, as he has a handful of shows on Fox. Over the summer we were treated to Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars and MasterChef, and this fall we're enjoying Kitchen Nightmares and Hell's Kitchen. In the spring we'll have Next Level Chef and MasterChef Junior to look forward to.
