The Masked Singer UK 2025 has once again had the nation gripped with more outrageous costumes, bonkers guessing and stunning vocals as we try to guess which famous faces are hiding under each mask.

The TV show, which has become a firm family favourite since it was launched in 2020, followed hot on the heels of The Masked Singer Christmas special 2024 and now we have a winner.

Who won Masked Singer UK 2025?

The 2025 final saw Wolf, Dressed Crab and Pufferfish all battle it out to be crowned winner, and in the end Pufferfish won the series and was unmasked as West End star Samantha Barks, who is best known for her roles in Les Miserables and for also playing Elsa in the stage version of Frozen. "I've had the best time, I really have had the best time," Samantha said following her win. "Underneath the mask I've been smiling so hard it's hurting my cheeks. It's been amazing.

This year's runner-up was Dressed Crab who was revealed to be Grammy award-winning singer Gregory Porter. He said the show "was just straight-up fun".

Wolf, who finished in third place, was Scottish singer Marti Pellow. He's the former lead singer of the pop group Wet Wet Wet. "I've had a fantastic time. It's just been an incredible experience for me," said Marti.

The Masked Singer UK 2025 release date

The Masked Singer UK 2025 kicked off at 7pm on Saturday, January 4 and Sunday, January 5 on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.

The grand final aired on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 7pm on ITV1.

Who has been unmasked in The Masked Singer 2025?

Week one: Spag Bol - Kate Garraway

Kate Garraway was unmasked in week one after singing Geri Halliwell's 'Look At Me'.

The Good Morning Britain host said: "It's been so much fun and everybody's been great. There is nothing better than being Spag Bol."

Week One: Pegasus - Dame Prue Leith

Dame Prue Leith was unmasked as Pegasus after Jonathan Ross correctly guessed who she was.

Speaking to ITVX and spin-off series The After Mask, the Great British Bake Off judge said singing on the show had been "the most amazing experience".

Prue said: "I have been having lessons and I've got slowly able to at least make a noise." She chose to sing 'Oh, What A Beautiful Morning' as it's a song she has known since her childhood.

Week two: Toad in the Hole - Macy Gray

The second weekend of The Masked Singer saw Toad in the Hole and Bear in the bottom two, and after a tense sing off, Toad in the Hole was unmasked as singing legend Macy Gray. It was no surprise what Macy was under the costume, with half of the panel guessing correctly who she was from her distinctive voice. She didn't seem to happy being voted off so early in the competition and left the stage, however, soon returned to be unmasked and sing one last time.

Week three: Tattoo - Carol Decker

The third week saw Tattoo unmasked as 80s pop star Carol Decker, who found fame as the leader singer of T'Pau. Carol's identity was revealed after finding herself in the bottom two against Dressed Crab. Talking about her time on the show, Carol said: “I’ve loved it and I’m going to say, I’m gutted! Everybody is amazing. I’m gutted because it’s the best fun ever."

Week four: Teeth - Mel Giedroyc

Mel Giedroyc had everyone totally baffled before she was revealed as Teeth after going head-to-head with Bear in the fourth week of The Masked Singer. The panel guessed everyone from Fearne Cotton and Alex Scott, to Su Pollard and Mel managed to keep her true identity hidden until the last moment. Speaking of her time on the show, Mel said: "It’s so nice to see you guys. I love these teeth so much! I was very pleased with Alex Scott. Such a fun show, it’s impossible not to have fun on this show!"

Week 5: Kingfisher - Grayson Perry

Kingfisher was revealed to be artist and presenter Grayson Perry, who managed to fool the panel. He said: "I've had a lovely time, the whole experience. When I'm normally here on stage I can't hear, I can't see, I can't even scratch my nose. The shock for me taking the head off is seeing you lot! I embraced the spirit of the show."

Week 5: Snail - Andrea Corr

The Corrs star Andrea managed to also fool the panel. Talking about the show, Andrea said, "I've had such a good time everybody has been so lovely. It's been really joyous. Also, I wanted to do it for my children and my nieces and nephews and friends and just for the laugh."

Week 6: Bear - Example

The first character to be unmasked in the semi-finals was Bear, who was revealed to be rapper and musician Example he said: "I sound like me when I sing my records and I rap like me, so I needed to do something different every week!"

Referencing Example's rendition of a Will Smith rap on a previous episode, Maya - who had correctly guessed Example - said, "That's when I knew it was you, the breath control, the movement, the flow I was like that has to be someone who has actually rapped."

Speaking of his costume, Example said: "They presented me options, they gave me a few character options and I just thought this (Bear) is the one. I probably should have picked one of the other ones, they might have been a bit cooler in terms of temperature. It's absolutely roasting in here!"

Week 6: Bush - Natalise Cassidy

The second celebrity to be unmasked in the semi-final was EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy as Bush. She said: "it's been one the best jobs I've ever done. Absolutely amazing. My fourteen year old she's either going to say, 'Mum I'm really proud of you or this is the most embarrassing thing for me ever!'"

Natalie said of her time on the show: "It was very nerve-wracking for me because I’m not a singer. I feel like I’ve challenged myself doing this and it is just so fun and because it's something I don’t do it doesn’t really matter. So there was no pressure and I kept going through, I couldn’t believe it. I kept going and going!

"I made Bush quite a nervous character, she was quite sweet and a bit erratic and all over the place and I’m going to miss her!"

Week 7: Wolf - Marti Pellow (Finalist)

Wolf was first to be unmasked in the final as Marti Pellow, who told host Joel Dommett, “I've had a fantastic time. It's just an incredible experience for me.

"It's been an absolute pleasure. From day one I threw myself into it and I enjoyed it. As soon as I got to meet all the people involved and saw their passion and enthusiasm for the show I knew that would rub off on me."

Week 7: Dressed Crab - Gregory Porter (Second place)

Dressed Crab was next to be unmasked in the final as Gregory Porter, talking about their experience on the show they said, "This is extraordinary. It's a real moment for me. Sometimes I'm singing all those serious songs and this was just straight-up fun. 

Week 7: Pufferfish - Samantha Barks (Winner)

And finally Pufferfish was crowned the winner, and was unmasked as Samantha Barks, who said, “I've had the best time. Underneath the mask, I've been smiling so hard - it's hurting my cheeks! It's been amazing.

"It's a funny thing because as the competition goes on you really get invested, you really care. Pouring your heart and soul into it and then you have to stop, have a look at yourself in the mirror, you are dressed as fish so before you get too nervous, you have to smile. It's been so fun to get to perform inside the mask. It's been so liberating in a way as well as you're not you. I loved it."

The Masked Singer wouldn't be the same without Joel Dommett at the helm, and he is confirmed to be back for the new season, helping guide the panel through their bonkers guesses at who might be behind the masks.

Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan and Davina McCall will all be back with their detective hats on, trying to work out which celebrities are hiding behind the elaborate costumes.

However, panel regular Rita Ora will be replaced by Love Island 2024 host Maya Jama. Pop star Rita has been part of the panel since the show aired its first run back in 2020, but Maya will now be stepping into her shoes for season 6.

Speaking of joining the show, Maya said: "I'm such a Masked Singer fan, so joining the panel alongside Davina, Jonathan, and Mo - and of course working with Joel - is going to be so much fun!

"I can't wait to figure out who's underneath all those incredible costumes, vibe to their performances, and get front-row seats to the unmaskings. I've watched the show for a long time, so I'm definitely bringing my A-game to the panel!"

We also have some more guest judges this series, including Vicky McClure, Suranne Jones, former Masked Singer winner and I'm A Celebrity 2024 winner Danny Jones, Tom Daley and Richard E Grant.

Behind the scenes and more on The Masked Singer UK 2025

For the first time, The Masked Singer 2025 will be accompanied by an all-new spin-off show titled The After Mask. According to Variety, the half-hour episodes will be presented by KISS FM presenter and singer-songwriter Harriet Rose, and will be available after the main show on ITVX and YouTube.

At the time of writing The Masked Singer has been renewed for one more season, likely to air in 2026.

Since bursting onto TV screens in 2020, The Masked Singer UK has reached a staggering 37 million viewers who have tuned in to guess who is hiding behind the mask.

The Masked Singer UK has been commissioned for ITV by Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment & Daytime Commissioning ITV, Joe Mace, Entertainment Commissioning Editor ITV.

The series will be produced by Bandicoot TV and the Executive Producers are Daniel Nettleton, Derek McLean and Claire Horton. The series producers are Ben Peart and Hannah Tomkins.

The Masked Singer wouldn't be the same without Joel Dommett on hoisting duties, and once again he is back for the festive special.

Speaking of the festive show, Joel said: "It's just such a great show and I love that it's now part of some people's traditions. Families have their meal and sit down and watch The Masked Singer, it's lovely. It’s joyous and it's for all the family. French and Saunders are on the show which is really special because they haven’t done anything together for quite a while. Seeing them together is just a mad thing, so much of my childhood just watching them."

But there's more Joel than you might expect in the Christmas special because for the first time in The Masked Singer history, producers surprised Joel Dommett with the ultimate Christmas present, an iconic Masked Singer doppelganger!

We will see Giant Joel unveiled on the Christmas special episode and hidden inside Giant Joel is a well loved celebrity with viewers and the panel tasked with trying to guess who is hiding behind Joel’s giant head!

But we have got a bit of a wait on our hands to find out who is hiding insode the Giant Joel mask because Giant Joel will be unmasked on the first show of the new series which airs on Saturday, January 4 at 7pm on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.

Talking about the iconic character host Joel said: "When I first saw it I thought, ‘Is my nose really that shape?’ Then everyone confirmed it is… and your teeth are that big! My wife has said that I’m not allowed to keep it because we don’t have space, so I have told her that we need to buy a marginally bigger house. Maybe we can turn it upside down and turn it into a really cool laundry bin or something!

The next new episode of The Masked Singer season 12 is supposed to be 60's Night, but the blast to the past will have to wait because the show isn't on as scheduled on Wednesday, October 30. Read on to learn why The Masked Singer season 12 isn't on tonight.

Every fall there are two things that are guaranteed to happen: new episodes of beloved shows returning to TV and Major League Baseball wrapping up its season with roughly a month of postseason games, culminating in the World Series. This year, MLB's postseason schedule has been kind to The Masked Singer, which airs at 8 pm ET/PT on Fox, the home of postseason baseball. In previous years, several episodes have been bumped from the schedule to accommodate the playoffs.

This year, though, the only interruption comes with Game 5 of the 2024 World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees. The Dodgers jumped ahead to a 3-0 lead over the Yankees, but the Yankees took home a decisive victory in Game 4 to stay alive and keep the competition going. Should the Dodgers win tonight, they'll be celebrating their World Series victory all night long and if the Yankees win, the show moves back to LA, where the Dodgers will try to bring home the title in front of a home crowd.

The Masked Singer will not air on October 30, moving its next new episode to November 6. The theme of the night is 60's Night and here's what you can look forward to in the episode:

Though we're awaiting official confirmation on the panelists, we imagine that The Masked Singer season 12 will feature several familiar faces. It's very likely that Nick Cannon (Drumline) will once again play host and master of ceremonies for the show, while Ken Jeong (The Hangover), Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg (Dirty Love) and singer Robin Thicke will make up the panel. We don't know at this point whether Nicole Scherzinger will be back to join the panelists or if Rita Ora (Wonderwell) will be filling in again.

ITV has reportedly renewed The Masked Singer UK for a sixth series in 2025, but they won't be bringing another prime-time show back. 

According to The Sun, ITV has decided to axe The Masked Dancer UK permanently after the network decided to 'rest' the format following just two seasons after being branded 'a tricky sell' for viewers. The good news is that The Masked Singer is 'definitely' returning for its sixth series.

Their source claimed: "The Masked Dancer was always something of a tricky sell. But ITV thought it was worth taking a punt on a concept that had clearly struck a chord with the public as The Masked Singer.

"But they made the mistake of shifting it from a show that ran every night over a week, to a weekly show that aired on a Saturday night. That saw it go out on the same evening as Strictly Come Dancing, which is a very challenging rival."

Like The Masked Singer, the reality series was also hosted by Joel Dommett and saw 12 celebrity contestants donning the franchise's trademark crazy get-ups and putting on a show on stage. Afterward, our celebrity panel tried to guess who was behind the mask.

The Masked Dancer season 2 — the most recent edition of the show —aired in Autumn 2022. Glee star Heather Morris was crowned the winner after competing as Scissors. Olympic gymnast Louis Smith won the first series as "Carwash".

Nick Cannon (Drumline) will once again play host and master of ceremonies for the show while Ken Jeong (The Hangover), Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg (Dirty Love) and singer Robin Thicke will make up the panel, along with a newcomer: singer, songwriter and actress Rita Ora (Wonderwell). The Masked Singer UK 2024 fans think an EastEnders legend is hiding behind Air Fryer's mask.

Air Fryer, Bubble Tea, Owl, Piranha and Eiffel Tower took to the stage for school disco week, with guest judge Jennifer Saunders joining the panel to replace Rita Ora.

As the masked celebrities battled it out, sleuths believe that they may have guessed who could be behind Air Fryer's mask.

Fans have speculated that Air Fryer could be Tameka Empson, who has played the legendary Kim Fox in EastEnders since 2009, after some clues they think could be related to the soap.

In week two, a pair of hairdressing scissors and a mirror were shown during her clue package, which could be hinting that Tameka's character Kim works at a hair salon.

On Saturday night's episode (January, 20) one of Air Fryer's Clue or False rumours were: "I'll tell you what, that maths lesson had me going around in squares," which could have been another hint to her soap role as Kim lives in Albert Square.

Throughout the competition, Air Fryer has proven to be an exceptional singer and Tameka is an experienced theatre actress, having appeared in a number of musicals.

Tameka has starred in Our House and is set to join the cast of the musical revival of The Big Life which she also co-wrote.

This means that Tameka is no stranger to the stage and given her funny personality, it wouldn't be a surprise if she was performing as Air Fryer.

Chef Simon Rimmer seemingly let slip a huge Masked Singer UK secret on live TV on Sunday Brunch yesterday (January, 21). 

The TV presenter accidentally revealed that he was one of the celebrities competing in The Masked Singer UK 2024 while speaking to Absolutely Fabulous legend Julia Sawalha after she was unmasked as Bubble Tea.

However, it's unclear whether Simon made a genuine mistake or was joking to put fans off the scent.

The blunder occurred when Julia confessed she had no idea what bubble tea was before she joined the show.

Simon chimed in: "I always assumed that you picked your own costumes because I know when I know with me as Dippy…"

He quickly stopped mid-sentence and let out an "Oooh!" before immediately covering his mouth in surprise.

"I think I gave it away then," he murmured to his Sunday Brunch co-host Tim Lovejoy.

A shocked Julia pointed at him and also covered her mouth as they quickly moved on to another subject.

The Masked Singer UK's Mo Gilligan has opened up about what producers to do ensure the celebrity's identity stays a secret, for both the judges and the viewers at home.

Speaking to This Morning hosts Rylan and Emma Willis, Mo revealed some behind the scenes secrets about how the beloved competition series works, and how he and the other judges are kept in the dark.

He said: "I get the same feeling the people at home get - you don't know who is going to be on and who is going to be singing and at the end of the show, you get a reveal. We don't know who it is. People still think we know who it is. 

"I get taxi drivers, friends, family, who say you know who it is. I still don't know who is behind the mask."

He added: "It is so so secretive. We go in at different ends of the building. I think that's what people love about the show. People play at home, they get their notebooks. It's a fun show!" 

"That's the craziest thing of the show, you never know who it is going to be," he explained. "It could be someone you know or it could just be a legend you never thought you would get to meet."

"We don't know what they’re going to perform. You see the costumes, the dancers come out. We’re trying to get any clue we can get.

"It could be someone we’ve met briefly, so you think is it someone I've met before? Sometimes you get to meet someone you want to meet. It's tough. We’re so competitive we don't show it much."

This year, TV chef Ainsley Harriott won the festive edition of The Masked Singer UK. He was under the Partridge (In A Pear Tree) costume and managed to wow the judges with his performance.

Other celebrities taking part were Carol Vorderman as Reindeer, Tony Robinson as Sprout, and Julian Clary as Decorations.

Dippy Egg was revealed to be radio and TV presenter Nicky Campbell, who is also Davina McCall’s co-host on the ITV show Long Lost Families.

After failing to correctly guess him for weeks, Davina screamed once Nicky took off his mask and ran on stage to hug him.

She said while fighting back tears: “This is the best surprise… better than any birthday. I love this man! Nicky’s a friend, we’ve been working together for 13 years and I can not believe I didn’t recognise your voice, I didn’t recognise your singing voice. I know your singing voice! This is insane.”

Speaking after his elimination, Nicky revealed: "It was incredible. I was emotional all the way through just trying to see her through the mask. Each performance, I could just sort of make her out, and I was thinking, 'it's so near, yet so far away!'"

Dippy Egg's first clue was: "This is a once in a lifetime experience" and their description was: "Guaranteed to give a cracking performance."

We thought Dippy Egg could have been someone who had come from a "once in a lifetime experience" before, such as taking part in a reality show. 

TV star and singer Stacey Solomon shot to fame after coming third on The X Factor in 2009. She's no stranger to the stage and her children would definitely love it if their mum dressed up as Dippy Egg!

However, after hearing Dippy Egg sing we knew it wasn't her under the mask!

Dippy Egg is a boiled egg in an egg cup with a cartoon face. They have yolk running down their head, with a spoon and toast sticking out of the top. The costume also has yolk arms and their shoes are egg cartons.

Given that the costume is heavily food-based, could it be The Great British Bake Off winner Nadia Hussain? The baking star has her own cookery shows, which of course usually involve a vital ingredient — eggs! 

But would Nadiya transform into an actual egg and take to the stage? It certainly wasn't the case after hearing Dippy Egg's voice. We weren't even close with our guesses unfortunately after Nicky's ultimate unmasking.

Weather's first clue was: "You know the weather is very unpredictable" and their description was: "Ready to storm the stage."

We thought that this clue could be hinting that the celebrity's personality was as unpredictable as the weather or maybe they hosted a game show with unpredictable outcomes.

Another way of looking at the clue was that it could have also meant that the star under the mask was someone we least expect? 

Although fans were stunned to see Dionne back on stage, fans knew immediately that it was her due to her distinctive singing voice.

Weather has a cloud head with a sun on their left and lightning bolts on the right, as well as another cloud on their right shoulder. They have a long blue dress with droplets hanging down at the sleeves to resemble rain and the bottom transitions into a white colour.

Weather presenter Carol Kirkwood was someone who came to mind. She is the main weather presenter on BBC Breakfast and has presented the BBC's The Weather Show, as well as The Great British Weather.

Although this is probably way too obvious of a guess, it wouldn't be the first time Carol has taken part in a reality show after she competed in Strictly Come Dancing 2015.

After her unmasking, she said: "I would say it's one of the best times of my life. I enjoyed every minute of it, it's way out of my comfort zone and I totally loved it."

Rat's first clue was: "The nerves I had for The Masked Singer are the worst nerves I've had in my entire life" and their description read: "Get ready to scream and jump on a chair."

This could have meant that the celebrity is no stranger to performing in front of a crowd or feeling nervous, but it seems that being on The Masked Singer still might be out of their comfort zone.

Given that Shirley Ballas is a professional dancer, we were correct on the fact that she is familiar to performing in front of crowds!

We also thought Rat's description could have implied that the celebrity may have a phobia of rats and they were trying to conquer their fears by taking part in the show.

We guessed that Rat may have been a bit of a handyman in real life and thought DIY SOS presenter Nick Knowles could have put down the hammer and grab a microphone instead. How wrong were we!

Bigfoot's first clue was: "Bigfoot just wants to have a good time and for the audience to have a good time!" and their description was: "Things are about to get hairy."

One of our thought was that this celebrity could have had a well-known catchphrase they used to entertain the audience? Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly still uses the late Sir Bruce Forsyth's iconic catchphrase where they encourage the audience to "Keeeep dancing!" 

The enduring catchphrase continues to be used by Strictly now even after Bruce's passing, with Tess and her new partner Claudia Winkleman saying it at the end of every show.

Could this have been a hint to the synonymous Strictly catchphrase she says?

The person under the costume was Alex Brooker, so we were wrong with our guesses!

Bigfoot is a brown and hairy sasquatch-like creature with purple lines across their body, along with purple paws and toes. They also have a cast on their leg and walk with a crutch. In week three, Bigfoot was seen wearing a purple bowtie.

What probably had us confused the most were the random purple lines across Bigfoot's body. Could they have had a meaning to the celebrity?

During his stint on I'm A Celebrity 2023, former politician Nigel Farage continuously listed off near-death incidents that happened to him throughout his life, including being run over and being in a plane crash. Could that have been one reason behind Bigfoot's broken foot by hinting at Nigel's many casualties?

He's already had viewers baffled by being in the jungle, but could things have taken an even weirder turn when he turns up as Bigfoot in The Masked Singer?

Maypole's first clue was: "Keeping it secret actually hasn't been that hard for me. I've decided to just hide in plain sight!" and their description was: "Here to lead us on a merry dance."

Two people came to mind at first, the first being The Traitors star Maddy Smedley, who is no stranger to keeping secrets and shot to fame on the hit Channel 4 series. The show requires the contestants to "hide in plain sight" in order to win the game and she infamously tried to conceal her acting career from her co-stars before being eliminated. Could she have successfully hid her identity again on The Masked Singer?

The second was The Traitors host Claudia Winkleman? It seemed possible that the celebrity may have been in the spotlight often and seen on TV a lot, so could they have been a daytime host who everyone sees nearly everyday?

We were clearly very far off with our guesses after Maypole's identity was revealed! Although, we were partly right when we thought that Maypole could have been a dancer too given that the Pussycat Dolls were all great dancers.

Who is Maypole in The Masked Singer UK 2024? Costume clues...

Maypole is based off the English May Day tradition. They have a ribbon dress and their head is made from a wooden hanging flower pot with flowers coming out of the top.

Given that the costume is inspired by an English tradition, one person who came to mind when we thought of British culture was Mary Berry. Mary is Britain's much-loved baking queen and is known for being a former judge on The Great British Bake Off, as well as creating traditional culinary delights in her abundance of baking shows.

Although we didn't get to see Mary Berry this time around, we were treated to an epic performance from Melody Thornton as Maypole.

The Masked Singer UK 2024 airs on Saturday at 7 pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

The Masked Singer UK 2024 returned as twelve mystery celebrities took to the stage wearing utterly bonkers costumes to disguise their identity.

The 12 brand-new outrageous characters looked crazier than ever, and one costume who bowled over the competition was Cricket.

Cricket hopped all the way to third place and was unmasked as soul singer Lemar Obika.

Talking about his Masked Singer experience, Lemar shared: "I thought it was gonna be fun, but it's been more fun than I could've imagined.

"I'm a fan of the show anyway but just getting to express yourself on different songs that people maybe wouldn't expect, that's been a lot of fun."

For the first time in Masked Singer history, we heard from each of the characters ahead of the show's launch. Were there any cryptic clues hidden within their opening statements?

Cricket's first clue was: "I like the fun content of The Masked Singer, I could be creative!" and their description was: "Ready to bowl you over."

Cricket's first clue was similar to Bubble Tea's, where they both talked about having the freedom to be creative in The Masked Singer. Could the celebrity have a more serious profession and want to bowl us over with their secret talent of singing and dancing?

After the unmasking, we were completely wrong with this guess as Lemar is a professional singer so getting up on stage is well within his comfort zone.

Who is Cricket in The Masked Singer UK 2024? Costume clues...

Cricket is a green cricket wearing cricket attire. He has a green chest plate, white arm pads, gloves, and knee pads, along with green trainers and a cricket helmet.

It was an obvious guess, but we thought of the possibility that the celebrity could be a former cricket star. England cricket legend Stuart Broad announced that he was retiring from the sport...but we couldn't see him swapping his cricket whites for a literal cricket costume!

Although this wouldn't have been the first time a sporting legend went on the show, with football icon Michael Owen being unmasked as Doughnuts in The Masked Singer UK 2022. So maybe Stuart could have surprised us?

If we were going with the cricket theme, Phil Tufnell is no stranger to reality TV having competed in Strictly Come Dancing and I'm A Celebrity. Could this have been another show to tick off his list?

We were way off with these guesses though as Cricket turned out to not be a sports star. Although it seems he was an avid cricket player!

It's time to celebrate on The Masked Singer season 10 as the show celebrates its 10th season with bigger celebrity reveals and even bigger costumes. The teaser features a a shadowy image of Cow with the caption, "Can you guess this legen-dairy performer?" Cow comes into view in all her black, white and red glory. 

So, "legen-dairy" has us thinking. There's a legend under the mask, but are they a singer? An actor? An athlete?

If you take a look at Cow's adorable costume you'll see that they are wearing an apron, and their hair is wrapped in a blue and white checkered bandana that matches their apron. Their red-rimmed glasses have a retro look to them.

Clue: Kate Flannery from The Office brought out the clue, which was "Moooosical." "The 2000s were really good to me," Cow said. "So much in fact, that I got to star in a musical."

Voiceover clue: "I am so over the moon after last week’s performance. And I am psyched to be here for the 2000s night, because that’s the decade that it all started for me. My friends and I decided to pack up a van and head to the Capitol Records building in Hollywood, determined to get a record deal. We pulled into the parking lot and started performing on top of the van, convinced we would get signed. Instead, security kicked us off the property. But we kept coming back, every single day. While we didn’t make it then, today my picture hangs in the Capitol Records hall, and the bigwigs see me all the time. Now that the group finals is in sight, I’m bringing that same determination because one thing is for sure: This cow isn’t coming home any time soon. Moo!"

Disco Night Clues: 

Clue: "Husband" "My husband, your husband Jenny. This cow is absolutely a lady. However, I have spent some time with your hubby."

Voiceover clue: "Getting everyone up and moo-ving on 2000s night was such a blast. I’m so thrilled to be in the Group A finals. My mom is the strongest person I’ve ever met. She’s been my foundation forever and she still is. Growing up, I recall my mom having seven jobs at one time. Like literally coming home from one, long enough to eat a sandwich, and then on to the next one. Watching her struggle was hard. So, it was always my dream to find a way to take care of her in the way she took care of me. And the day I was able to support her with my music was the day I felt like I really made it. If I learned nothing from her, it’s that you can fall a million times, but if you get up on a million and one, you’re still in the race. That advice has been the secret to my success, and I’m channeling it tonight to make it into the finale."

Finale clues: 

Clue: "I was a fan of this show before I got here. I always wanted to do the show. And so, this is already a dream come true. I’m having a ball."

Voiceover Clue: "I originally chose to become the Cow because I thought it would be a super fun way to get my friends on the panel off my scent. But, even though I’m used to wearing different hats, being here has challenged me in a whole new way. I’ve had to re-learn how to express myself entirely. From the way I move to the way I dance. When you get to my level of success and fame, there are certain expectations and pressures to perform the same old way. So, it’s been a blast, getting to take on this whole new persona. The Cow, in a way, has also become a tribute to my mother, who showed me it’s OK to be strong and sensitive. So tonight, I’m channeling that same fierceness into this finale. So I can win this thing. For her and all the strong women who made me who I am today."

The Masked Singer UK 2024 returned as twelve mystery celebrities took to the stage wearing utterly bonkers costumes to disguise their identity.

The 12 brand-new outrageous characters looked crazier than ever, and one costume who is swapped swimming for singing was Piranha.

Piranha was crowned the winner of The Masked Singer UK 2024 after amazing the judges and audience with their fin-tastic performances over the weeks  — but did you guess who was under the mask?

In the lakes and rivers, we're real head-turners. But on dry land...Agh! Scary! Piranhas weren't born to run. Even though we can kick it on the pitch, tonight is the night. Time for the performance of my life!"

Bedtime story clue: David Tennant reads, "Once upon a time, there lived a piranha. He was unlike any other piranha...he was scared of everything. The other piranhas were big and fierce, but Piranha knew he had a secret weapon - his incredible cooking skills. So, with trembling fins, Piranha took a deep breath and began to cook - chopping and stirring and sizzling all day long. When the scary piranhas tasted his fishy feast their eyes widened in amazement, their smiles teethy. From that day forward, Piranha's cooking skills and bravery were celebrated. He wasn't scared of the other fish anymore, he really was the fish of the day. The end."

Clue-se Mourini-clue: Joel Dommett dressed as a football manager giving Piranha a pep talk in the changing room. Piranha replied: "Is 'Bottle' one of the other characters? Listen, gaffer, I've been trying my best. My riddle ran rings around the panel. Check out the instant replay. Okay, they brought on a last-minute substitution, and I thought it was all over [pinecones]. We cam close to kissing the Championship goodbye, but they completely missed this [kissing booth]. Who is Piranha in The Masked Singer UK 2024? First clue...

For the first time in Masked Singer history, we heard from each of the characters ahead of the show's launch. Were there any cryptic clues hidden within their opening statements?

Piranha's first clue was: "Everything about this show is completely surreal" and their description was: "Hoping they can sink their teeth into their performance."

Well we could agree that dressing up as a Piranha must be a surreal experience! The masked celebrity was clearly determined to put their all into their performance. And of course they didn't disappoint when Piranha was unmasked to be Danny Jones!

Who is Piranha in The Masked Singer UK 2024? Costume clues...

Piranha is a giant red fish with purple fins, large white teeth and eyelashes. They are also wearing a set of light blue pyjamas.

Move over, Bananas in Pyjamas we now have Piranhas in Pyjamas! The usually vicious and bloodthirsty fish seems a lot more friendly when you put them in nightwear.

Could this have been a clever spin on the iconic children's TV show Bananas in Pyjamas? Maybe the star could have had something to do with the famous programme.

Given how deadly a piranha can be, Jeremy Wade could have been one of the famous faces behind the mask. He often encounters some of the world’s most dangerous fish on his hit series River Monsters and the biologist has also starred in other popular shows such as, Mysteries Of The Deep, Jeremy Wade’s Dark Waters and Unknown Waters with Jeremy Wade.

If we went with the fishing concept, famous comedians and lifelong friends Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse decided to go on a fishing adventure in their series Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing. They’re both entertainers, so it would have been unsurprising to see one of them take to the stage and perform as Piranha!

However, we were way off with our guesses as Piranha was McFly band member Danny Jones.
