Tony DiMera is a man on a mission in Days of Our Lives. He’s trying to put the family business back in the family to honor his father, so will he be the one to discover Stefano’s possession?

Tony (Thaao Penghlis) returned to Salem with a plan to restore DiMera Enterprises to the DiMera family. Upon his arrival, he found EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) fighting to keep Johnny (Carson Boatman) from going to jail for shooting him. With EJ’s mind occupied, Tony told Anna (Leann Hunley) that getting the company back was all up to him.

We think that as someone who isn’t living in Salem full-time, but as someone who knows Stefano better than most, Tony is the perfect person to figure out the mystery of Stefano’s return.

We’ve previously speculated that Rachel might be possessed by Stefano’s restless spirit, and what’s more is that she might be the person who shot EJ. This theory starts to solidify as we consider the motivation to shoot EJ.

Stefano could be angry that EJ isn’t working harder to get DiMera Enterprises back from the Kiriakises and is instead focusing on his own endeavors. It’s easy to imagine Stefano trying to get EJ out of the way using the only vessel he has available, one that would not arouse suspicion: Rachel.

Rachel, of course, was plagued by health issues as a result of “witnessing” the shooting, even though she only saw Johnny (Carson Boatman) with a gun and never saw him pull the trigger. We know Stefano’s nickname, The Phoenix, referred to his ability to come back to life time and time again, and what better way to come back than to take the form of a child who can carry out actions without anyone suspecting anything?

As an observer, Tony might be able to see that while Rachel already had some troubling traits, her recent actions are reflective of his father’s trademark personality quirks. In fact, with everything going on, he might just be the only person to really be able to see what’s going on with her, and from there, he might turn to Marlena (Deidre Hall) for help casting his father’s spirit out of the child.

Tony could be the only person to stop Stefano before he starts causing even more problems for his children and the residents of Salem. But first, he’ll have to find a way to convince people that Rachel is possessed by the spirit of The Phoenix, and that could prove to be challenging.

Rachel Black could be right in the middle of Stefano DiMera’s posthumous return to Days of Our Lives, and the signs have been pointing to it for a while. Not only that, but the little girl could be the perfect target for possession because she already has psychic gifts.

I remember thinking there had to be something going on with Rachel’s stomachaches this past spring. They were too intentional to be a coincidence.

The little girl, played to perfection by Alice Halsey, was plagued by stomachaches after witnessing what she believed to be Johnny (Carson Boatman) shooting her uncle EJ (Dan Feuerriegel).

Not only that, but she had a very troubling dream about her Grandpa John (Drake Hogestyn) that led to another stomachache. She told her mother that she dreamed he was dead, leading Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) to reassure her daughter that John was perfectly fine and they would pay him a visit soon. Little did Kristen know, John was near death in the hospital, and he died soon after. This had me wondering if the little girl had some latent psychic powers coming to the fore.

Over the past few days, there has been a lot of social media and internet chatter that it’s possible that Stefano DiMera’s return could be tied to Rachel. Could it be that his spirit decided to take over the body of a little girl in hopes of drawing the least amount of suspicion possible? Is that why EJ’s mother, Susan (also played by Haiduk), can feel Stefano’s presence all around the DiMera mansion?

What’s more is that if our theory is true, then it’s also very possible that Rachel’s stomachaches are tied to when Stefano is possessing her, and that could be why she’s so upset about the night her uncle was shot.

EJ can’t remember who shot him, and despite Johnny, Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Roman (Josh Taylor) being present at the mansion with an available gun, there’s nothing linking them to the shooting. But Rachel was there, and Rachel saw Johnny with the gun. It looked like her stomachaches were tied to being upset about Johnny getting in trouble for shooting his father, but what if they’re actually a result of the little girl being locked in a battle for control with The Phoenix?

There’s no doubt that Stefano would jump at the opportunity to wreak havoc on Salem without anyone realizing it’s him. Taking over his young relative’s body is a great way to go unnoticed, and it’s also a great explanation as to why Rachel has been acting so strangely.

While the first season was a little tricky to see in the UK at first, Twisted Metal is coming day-and-date for UK viewers.

You'll be able to see the series on Paramount Plus, where the first season was previously added too. The streamer has announced that the series will premiere on Thursday, July 31, and it's not clear whether all 12 episodes will be available to see at once, or if the series will follow the US release (above).

There’s not a lot of stability in the TV world these days, and that’s why the Days of Our Lives two-year renewal makes me very happy.

Currently in its 61st season, the Days of Our Lives renewal will extend the Peacock soap through seasons 62 and 63, which coincides with the 2027-2028 television season. In an era of uncertainty, the news offers production teams the ability to plan for the future with long-term story arcs and thrilling new and returning cast members.

Days of Our Lives moved from NBC to Peacock in 2022. Established fans followed the show to its new home, but the show also grew a new fan base of viewers who were just discovering the show in the streaming sphere. I know it’s a lot easier for me to tune in on Peacock whenever I like than to be stuck watching at a certain time or the following day.

But in an era of TV contraction when series are frequently cancelled after a single season (or worse, after a handful of episodes), I have come to really and truly appreciate the bedrock foundation and stability of soap operas.

CBS added Beyond the Gates in February 2025, making it the newest soap opera to debut after several longstanding soaps, like Guiding Light, All My Children and As the World Turns, were sent packing in recent years. The addition of a new soap is encouraging when it would be so easy for networks to add another hour of local news coverage or another syndicated talk show.

As the only soap that calls a streaming platform its home, Days of Our Lives is the best of both worlds. It offers the nostalgia of days gone by with a soap that has been around for over six decades, while paving the way for a strong future with hot new stars who learn the ropes from beloved soap veterans who guide them along the way.

Like other soaps, Days of Our Lives loves a good long-form story, and knowing that the show will have at least two more seasons to play with gives writers time to plot what’s going to happen next. That creative freedom will pay off in dividends as the show continues into season 62 this fall.

I’m glad the powers that be at Peacock can see that continuing the legacy of Days of Our Lives is a smart investment, and I’m hopeful that the renewals will continue so that the stories coming out of Salem never end.

Unbeknownst to her, little Victoria Kiriakis has been caught in a tense battle in Days of Our Lives as Xander and Sarah fight over the precious tot. Things seem to have reached a point of no return for the once happy-ish couple. Is there a world where they could ever see eye-to-eye again?

Xander (Paul Telfer) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) would prefer that their daughter grow up in a loving household, but at the moment, there’s nothing but tension and derision between them, and it’s not likely to go away any time soon, or ever, for that matter.

When Sarah announced that she was going to Bermuda with her mother and planned for Victoria to come along, Xander immediately refused, believing that this was really a ploy on Sarah’s part to keep Victoria from him.

As their marriage continues to unravel, the only thing Xander wants is his daughter, and he sees no reason why she wouldn’t be able to stay with him instead of Sarah. They both work demanding jobs, with him working as the co-CEO of Titan DiMera and Sarah working as a doctor. There’s a good argument for Victoria staying with her father, even though Sarah believes the young girl should be with her mother.

In the July 16 episode, Xander had trouble trying to get Victoria to calm down, and it was Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) who stepped in and soothed her to sleep. Xander seems to know he’s in over his head trying to be a good CEO and father, but at this point, there’s no way he and Sarah will ever get back together.

Sadly, the only thing that could bring the former couple back together would be if something happened to Victoria. While morbid to think about, Victoria getting sick or being kidnapped or having some other unfortunate situation befall her would bring her parents back together again. Sarah doesn’t seem likely to forget all the things Xander has done, nor can he forget her transgressions either. But when it comes to their daughter, Xander and Sarah would do anything to make sure she’s safe and healthy, even if it meant having to work together to do it.

Love Island Games is back on Tuesday, September 16, on Peacock. In order to watch the series in the US, you’ll need a subscription to the streaming service. Currently, Peacock offers a few options for would-be subscribers. It’s anticipated that Love Island Games season 2 will stream on ITVX in the UK.

As of publication, there are no confirmed islanders for Love Island Games season 2. However, like season 1, season 2 will be filled out with former islanders from various Love Island franchises from across the globe. If we had our say, Love Island USA season 5’s Leo and Kay Kay, Love Island USA season 6’s Liv and Love Island USA season 7’s Jalen and Coco would be in the new season of Love Island Games season 2. But again, nothing has been confirmed at this time.

Now what has been confirmed is that the new host of the series for season 2 will be Ariana Madix.

Paulina learns about shocking new evidence in Days of Our Lives, and it’s about to turn everything upside down. Will she pull some strings to help her daughter?

Paulina (Jackée Harry) had just delivered a motherly pep talk to Chanel (Raven Bowens) about the possibility of new evidence coming through that could clear Johnny’s (Carson Boatman) name and identify a new suspect when she received word that the memory card finally yielded exactly that…only it’s not at all what Paulina was hoping for.

Chanel has been furious at her mother for her role in arresting Johnny for EJ’s (Dan Feuerriegel) shooting. Things have calmed down a bit, especially after Paulina was able to help expedite the hearing so Johnny could go home instead of staying in jail overnight. However, Chanel is still unhappy that her mother has been prioritizing her role as mayor and her obligations as mayor, instead of being a concerned and protective mother and mother-in-law.

However, the memory card shows that Chanel was also at the DiMera mansion before EJ was shot, and she threatened him. Her arrival seems to follow Johnny’s, which would likely clear him from the crime and implicate her, as (so far) she seems to be the last one to be with EJ before he’s shot.

Paulina made sure she was at the station when Chanel arrived, and she insisted that Chanel needed a lawyer before she gave a statement to Jada (Elia Cantu). Paulina had been able to help Johnny get a speedy hearing so he could go home on bail, but since Chanel isn’t being arrested (yet), there’s not much she can do to help her daughter, aside from protecting her interests while she’s under investigation.

We know from past experiences that Paulina has been willing to do whatever it takes to protect her daughter, even when things look bleak. In this situation, it doesn’t help that Johnny’s father, who was also the victim of the shooting, is also Johnny’s lawyer. EJ wants to see his son’s name cleared, and we can imagine that he’d be willing to throw Chanel under the bus to get what he wants, even though he’d be risking immense pain for his son in doing so.

At this point, we imagine Paulina will be trying to keep Jada from arresting Chanel so that Chanel stays out of jail. She can only hope that no new evidence arrives that makes this situation any worse than it already is.

Chanel and Paulina’s relationship may have taken another turn for the worse on Days of Our Lives as Johnny is arrested for shooting EJ.

As Salem’s mayor, Paulina (Jackée Harry) knew that there was going to be a lot of scrutiny about Johnny’s (Carson Boatman) arrest, so she tried to get in front of it by instructing Jada (Elia Cantu) to arrest him instead of simply bringing him in for questioning.

Between the high-profile shooting of EJ DiMera (Dan Feurriegel) and the possibility of Johnny receiving special treatment, Paulina had to be careful.

For Chanel (Raven Bowens), though, Paulina could have prevented her husband from being arrested in the first place.

Everyone believes Johnny is innocent, Chanel tells him during their precious few moments together before he’s taken to his cell. In Chanel’s mind, it’s Paulina that they have to worry about. “Mama is the one who stabbed us in the back.”

Chanel isn’t about to forget her mother’s role in Johnny’s arrest, but Johnny points out in the July 1 episode that having the mayor as his mother-in-law is actually helpful, as Paulina was able to schedule his arraignment and bail hearing the night of his arrest so he didn’t have to be in jail overnight.

Of course, it’s another blow between Paulina and Chanel, coming just as the mother-daughter duo was starting to heal from their myriad rifts.

At the moment, though, Chanel has more pressing concerns as her husband accepts EJ’s help to defend himself. She doesn’t think having his father — and the shooting victim — defending him is a good idea, but Johnny and EJ think it’s a great idea. Now Chanel is left trying to keep her husband from going to jail while also ensuring that EJ doesn't do anything that could jeopardize that. And even if EJ is truly on their side, it means Chanel has to put up with him when that's the last thing she wants to do right now.

With everything going on, Chanel’s rift with Paulina might have to wait while she figures out how to help Johnny get out of this mess. But you can bet that if things go sideways with Johnny's trial, Chanel isn't going to forget her mother's role in it.

If a single mess can start the ball rolling toward an even larger mess, then Johnny’s current messy situation on Days of Our Lives is about to upend a lot of Salem residents’ lives.

The June 30 episode began with Johnny (Carson Boatman) being arrested and ended with Roman (Josh Taylor) turning in his gun, which he believed was the gun used to shoot EJ (Dan Feurriegel).

Of course, that’s not the only drama from the episode. Chanel (Raven Bowens) discovered what Johnny had been hiding from her, Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) realized that if she has to testify in the case then EJ will be even angrier with her and Paulina (Jackée Harry) realized that her actions may have put a strain on her relationship with Chanel.

Belle (Martha Madison) has been recused from the case but now that EJ is going to represent his son, she’s going to be in a very tough spot. Rafe (Galen Gering) is furious that Jada (Elia Cantu) took his tip and arrested Johnny instead of bringing him in for questioning while EJ, whose focus was on the new vote at the hospital, is now going to be laser focused on keeping his son out of prison.

Suddenly, it seems like all of Salem is wrapped up in this scandal anew.

Johnny’s arrest comes right after he and EJ cleared the air. Until that moment, EJ truly believed Johnny shot him and he was bound and determined to protect his son from the fallout. However, Johnny made it clear that he never pulled the trigger and instead gave the gun to EJ before he left.

The problem, of course, is that EJ still can’t remember who actually pulled the trigger. He’s been trying to protect Johnny but now he’s on the hook because he told Jada that Johnny didn’t pull the trigger despite the fact that he doesn’t even remember Johnny giving the gun to him before leaving.

With EJ’s memory still fuzzy, Johnny insisting that he didn’t pull the trigger and lots of pieces are parts of the puzzle coming in from all sides, it now seems that all of Salem is tied up in this mess with no clear picture of who actually pulled the trigger and it’s only going to get worse from here.

Marlena and Roman are facing quite the mystery on Days of Our Lives after discovering that there’s a gun, a missing bullet and no suspect. But if Johnny didn’t pull the trigger, who did?

Though it has been weeks since EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) was shot, we still don’t know who pulled the trigger.

Rachel (Alice Halsey) has been plagued by stomach aches because she heard EJ and Johnny (Carson Boatman) arguing. She confided in her grandmother Marlena (Deidre Hall) that she saw Johnny with a gun, and now she’s supposed to keep it all a secret because her mother told her she’d never see her other grandmother again if she tells anyone what happened.

Naturally, Marlena went to Roman (Josh Taylor) for help and discovered he already suspected Johnny could be involved since the gun was missing from the bar. They confronted Johnny, who insisted he didn’t pull the trigger. He admitted to going to the DiMera mansion and confronting his father, but he’s adamant he didn’t shoot him — and that he left the gun with EJ before he left.

So how did the gun end up in the bushes outside, and why is it missing a bullet?

And who shot EJ?

EJ has a long list of people who would like nothing more than to see him dead. And EJ had a hidden camera recording everything the night he was shot; he’s protecting his son from being implicated, but it seems like he’s also hiding the truth about who killed him… unless it really was Johnny.

What’s interesting about this murder mystery is there are lots of possible red herrings… or maybe they aren’t red herrings at all. EJ must know who shot him if he has it recorded.

Rachel stands by what she saw and heard that night, and she’s been told that something terrible will happen to her grandmother if she reveals her secret.

Johnny admits he was there to shoot his father and he has the best motive of anyone: he’s there to get payback for his father raping his mother, which led to his birth.

Since Johnny’s motive to kill his father is so strong and there’s a witness to support it, we’ve no doubt that he’ll probably be implicated in some way, if not charged outright.

However, we’d love to see a vast conspiracy taking place, one where someone else happened to be in the house at the same time Johnny was there, and the stranger is the one who shot EJ on the heels of Johnny’s departure. But surely anyone staking out the house would know that Rachel was there. Did they not know the young girl was nearby, or did they simply not care?

As the evidence seems to stack up against Johnny, without some new evidence it’s possible the young man will be charged with EJ’s shooting. But that means there’s a murderer loose in Salem and no one is safe.

Tony DiMera is back in Salem on Days of Our Lives, but the charismatic count gets the cold shoulder when he proposes that the DiMera family reclaim their birthright to honor their father.

Tony is always a welcome figure in Salem, but it looks like he picked the wrong time to return home.

EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) is in the middle of a big mess as he attempts to keep people from discovering that his estranged son, Johnny (Carson Boatman), not only was in the house the night he was shot, but that Johnny had a gun and Rachel (Alice Halsey) saw the whole thing. EJ had just retrieved the memory card from the hidden camera that captured the whole thing, hoping to use it as insurance to protect his son, as Tony arrived.

Tony, realizing that his half-brother was up to something, asked to be clued in so he can help, but it’s a bigger secret than he expected.

Not only that, but Chad (Billy Flynn) was at The Bistro in the middle of a deep conversation with Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) about “his birthright.” She wants him to think about returning DiMera Enterprises to the family but Chad wants no part of it. He’s busy running The Spectator and that’s where he wants to be.

Needless to say, Tony, having arrived in Salem to bring the family together, was surprised to see that neither EJ nor Chad were willing to do anything to bring the company out from under the control of Titan Industries and the Kiriakis family.

“Yes, I broached the subject,” he tells Anna (Leann Hunley, who will be joining Penghlis once again on the canvas soon) in a phone call at the end of the episode. “It seems that neither of them want to make a move. So if the family business is to be saved, it seems I have to be the one to do it.”

With EJ and Chad distracted, Tony will likely look for allies to help him return control of DiMera Enterprises to his family. What he’ll find, however, is an uphill battle given that there aren’t many people in Salem who want to help EJ at the moment, especially not after he took control of the hospital recently.

That leaves Tony to figure out a solution on his own and that could involve trying to mend more than a few fences around town, especially the ones that EJ has torn down. In a way it’s perfect because we’ll get a chance to see the always suave and debonair Tony using all of his charm and resources to find a solution and it will be so much fun to see.

Rachel’s tummy trouble is fast becoming a problem for EJ on Days of Our Lives, so will he end up sending her away to protect his secret?

In the June 20 episode of Days, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) discovered that Brady (Eric Martsolf) knew that Rachel (Alice Halsey) saw Johnny (Carson Boatman) shoot EJ on that fateful night. Since then, the young girl has been plagued by stomach issues, no doubt caused by the stress of her uncle’s secret eating away at her.

After getting sick ahead of the graduation ceremony, Brady took Rachel to the hospital to visit Sarah (Lynsey Godfrey) for yet another check-up. Sarah figured out that something was bothering Rachel, and it wasn’t the loss of her Grandpa John (Drake Hogestyn). Given how close Rachel was to John, Sarah quickly determined that whatever the secret is, it’s a big one. Brady assured Sarah that Rachel will continue with therapy, but that’s not the end of it.

Later, during a girl’s night sleepover with her grandmother, Rachel mumbled “No, don’t shoot him” while she was dreaming, leading Marlena (Deidre Hall) to wonder what was going on. Naturally, it won’t take much to connect the dots between Rachel’s upset stomach — a result of stress — and the fact that EJ is the only person who has been shot (recently, at least) in Salem.

This presents a massive problem for EJ, who is working to protect his son from being charged with the crime. EJ will do anything to protect Johnny, but we doubt he’d go so far as to “disappear” Rachel. Now that Brady, and eventually Marlena, know what’s going on with Rachel, it’s going to be a race against time for EJ to find a way to get Rachel away from Salem until the heat dies down.

This leads us to wonder if he’ll propose a grand summer trip for her. Whether it’s summer camp or a European getaway, or heck, even a whole summer traveling to theme parks, EJ will likely do whatever he can to get Rachel out of town before too many people start asking questions.

Like so many Days of Our Lives fans, I was glued to the TV for John Black’s funeral, Bo and Hope’s reunion and the 40th anniversary celebration of Stephen Nichols’ time on the canvas. I’m left thinking about the show’s history and the flashbacks are an absolute treasure trove.

I grew up watching soap operas in an adjacent way, like so many kids before me, because my mother was watching them and I was present for it. I can vividly remember my mother getting me ready for preschool, fixing my pigtails (with brightly colored bows, of course) while talking on the phone (a landline with a 25-foot cord that could nearly travel through the whole house) with my friends’ mothers. Each day they would discuss the day’s soaps and what was going on.

At that moment in time as a young child, their conversations were going over my head and I had no idea what I was watching but there was a lot of kissing and crying from what I remember. I wish, in retrospect, that I’d been paying closer attention.

I started watching Days a few years ago and relied on anecdotal stories from friends about things that happened decades ago. Yes, I could find clips online and read summaries of characters’ family trees and storylines, but seeing it…well, that’s a whole other story.

The past few weeks have been a treasure trove of Days' history between the celebration of John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) life, Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope’s (Kristian Alfonso) relationship and Nichols’ time on the show. Seeing how “Patch” ended up with the trademark patch over his eye, and hearing how it was Bo who played a role in the incident that led to the injury, was so valuable.

For those who haven’t been watching for years (or decades), these snippets from the past are so valuable mainly because there really aren’t any ways to revisit them. With only two seasons available to stream, there’s no place for fans to travel back in time in the annals of Days past until there’s another opportunity to share clips in a current episode.

All I know is that I was hooked on those little blasts from the past. From the big hair of the 1980s to white-water rafting adventures to fights on hillsides and thrilling supernatural adventures, Days of years past was a sight to behold and I would love to see more of it, especially because I could go back and figure out what had my mom and her friends talking back in the day.

In the current landscape of American TV, Law & Order: SVU has served as the premier police procedural of the past two decades and it looks to continue to do so with Law & Order: SVU season 27.

Again leading the series is our favorite fictional captain, Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay). While her squad room will undergo yet another change given the departure of a few detectives, she happily welcomes one detective back on her team.

Law & Order: SVU season 27 release date

Law & Order: SVU is back, helping to round out NBC's fall 2025-2026 primetime lineup. While a set date has not yet been announced, we do know that new episodes will roll out in the show's usual 9 pm ET/PT slot on Thursdays. Once more information becomes available, we'll pass along the update.

New episodes of Law & Order: SVU premiere live exclusively on NBC. For those that don't have traditional cable/satellite television, you still have the opportunity to watch the show live when it airs using live TV streaming services such as Fubo, Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV and YouTube TV. All episodes of SVU become available to stream on Peacock the day after they premiere.

We don’t have a UK release date for the new season, but we anticipate new episodes will debut on Sky Witness and NOW when the time comes.

Law & Order: SVU season 27 plot

Law & Order: SVU season 27 continues to show some of the most gut-wrenching cases centered around sexual assault. As in years past, viewers should anticipate seeing a few storylines in the police procedural inspired by real-life events, "ripped from the headlines."

Law & Order: SVU season 27 cast

Leading the show is the legendary Mariska Hargitay. Since the inception of SVU, she's been playing Olivia Benson, a role for which she's received an Emmy, a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards. Additionally, while portraying the famous detective, she's made appearances in Chicago P.D., Law & Order and Law & Order: Organized Crime.

Joining Hargitay is another tenured member of the show, Ice-T, who plays Fin Tutuola. Prior to his stint on SVU, he was a hit rapper and a recognizable face from New Jack City and New York Undercover. Also on hand as series regulars are Peter Scanavino (Deception) as Dominick Carisi and Kevin Kane (Life & Beth) as Terry Bruno.

In some great news for show fans, Kelli Giddish is returning as a series regular as Amanda Rollins for season 27. While she's guest-starred in the show since her official departure on season 24, season 27 makes her grand, triumphant return.

Please note that Juliana Aidén Martinez (Griselda) and Octavio Pisano (Coyote), who portrayed Silva and Velasco respectively, will not be returning as regulars in the new season. However, it is expected that Aime Donna Kelly (Chicago Med) is back as Renee Curry, again in a recurring role.

The iconic duo of the Coen Brothers, Joel and Ethan, have not made a movie together since 2018’s The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. To date their solo careers haven’t drummed up the same kind of buzz, despite both good work. That reevaluation should begin with Ethan Coen’s first solo outing when the underrated Drive-Away Dolls lands on Peacock.

Available to watch on Peacock as of June 12, Drive-Away Dolls returns to a major streaming platform after only being available to buy or rent via digital on-demand recently. The ease of streaming Drive-Away Dolls should hopefully give people who haven’t seen it a try, and those that maybe have but weren’t fans of it initially to give it another watch.

Directed by Coen, from a script he co-wrote with his partner Tricia Cooke, Drive-Away Dolls centers on two friends, Jamie (Margaret Qualley) and Marian (Geraldine Viswanathan) who, needing a change in their lives, decide to drive down to Florida, opting to use a drive-away car service. However, the car that they get happens to be carrying something in the trunk that puts shady (but inept) criminals on their tail. Colman Domingo, Beanie Feldstein, Joey Slotnick, C. J. Wilson and Bill Camp also star, with cameos from Pedro Pascal and Matt Damon.

In my Drive-Away Dolls review, I said that the movie “offers familiar wit and eccentric characters” reminiscent of classic Coen Brothers comedies ultimately making for an entertaining watch. I'm not necessarily saying Drive-Away Dolls is quite on the level as a Raising Arizona of The Big Lebowski, but the movie does deserve better than the reception it’s gotten from general audiences.

On Rotten Tomatoes, despite a “Fresh” rating from critics, Drive-Away Dolls has a low score of 37% from audiences. I fully understand that the movie is a bit out there at times, may cross a line or two of decorum for some (though not any more than what comes out of Deadpool’s mouth in Deadpool & Wolverine) and generally may not be for everyone, but Drive-Away Dolls is too entertaining for such a low score.

I’d urge Peacock subscribers to give Drive-Away Dolls another try now that it is back on streaming (and nice timing with it being Pride Month). While the movie is streaming exclusively on Peacock, it is also available via digital on-demand if you’re interested. Drive-Away Dolls is streaming on Sky TV in the UK, as well.

Excited about the release of the live-action How to Train Your Dragon set for next Friday, June 13? Well then, you’re probably going to want to watch Soaring to Life: The Making of How to Train Your Dragon, a behind-the-scenes special for the movie that is airing on NBC on Friday, June 6, at 8 pm ET/PT.

How to Train Your Dragon, one of WTW’s most anticipated summer blockbuster movies of 2025, is a remake of the classic 2010 animated movie of the same name about a Viking boy named Hiccup who goes against his people’s traditions of fighting dragons to befriend one named Toothless. Dean DeBlois, who directed the original animated movies, directs the live-action version as well, which stars Mason Thames as Hiccup, Nico Parker as Astrid and Gerard Butler as Stoic, taking on the role he voiced in the original movie.

In Soaring to Life, NBC has put together a half-hour special that shows how DeBlois took his original animated vision and reimagined it for this new adaptation. That included elaborate hand-crafted sets and cutting-edge filmmaking technology, which will all be previewed by Thames, Parker and Butler in the special.

To watch Soaring to Life: The Making of How to Train Your Dragon on NBC, you must have access to the broadcast network. That can be through a traditional pay-TV provider, a TV antenna or a live TV streaming service (Fubo, Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV and YouTube TV are all examples of ones that carry NBC). Peacock Premium Plus subscribers can also watch the special live on the streaming platform, while all Peacock subscribers can watch it on-demand starting Saturday, June 7.

If the special has you itching to watch the original animated How to Train Your Dragon again ahead of the live-action remake, the movie is currently streaming on Peacock (as well as Max).

At this time, there are no reviews for How to Train Your Dragon. However, the movie was shown in its entirety at the annual CinemaCon conference in April, where early reactions were quite strong, as shared by Rotten Tomatoes.

NBC has been helping to build the excitement for some big Universal Picture movies recently. Last fall they had a Wicked special ahead of the movie musical’s release; they’ll be doing the same this fall ahead of Wicked: For Good.

But tonight is for How to Train Your Dragon. Again, you can tune in for the special at 8 pm ET/PT on NBC, or stream it on demand on Peacock starting June 7.

It’s not often that we get to see our favorite soap opera characters going through the long laundry lists of people with whom they have shared relations in the past, so it’s fun when it happens and we can see the characters themselves cringe (even if it’s just a little bit) when confronted by the magnitude of their amorous endeavors. We had one such moment in the May 28 episode of Days of Our Lives in a conversation between EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) and Kristen (Stacy Haiduk).

After learning that John Black (Drake Hogestyn) had been in a terrible accident and wasn’t expected to survive, Kristen was left speechless, and EJ tried, awkwardly, to console her.

When Kristen admits that John was the first man she ever loved, EJ points out that she was willing to do anything — including passing him off as her child. Kristen sighs, reminding him, “I wasn’t in my right mind, obviously.”

Kristen goes on to say that she was blinded by her feelings for John. “Feelings that you subsequently transferred onto his son, which isn’t creepy at all, Kristen,” EJ replies drily.

Their conversation continued thusly:

“Oh come on, are you calling me creepy right now?” the exasperated sibling retorts. “I mean, look who’s talking. I mean, you what, are sleeping with your ex-wife’s sister?”

“Again,” EJ agrees.

“Again, yes,” Kristen says. “And as I recall, you were with Kate Roberts at some point, and later with her daughter, Billie.”

“All right, point taken,” EJ admits.

Kristen sighs again. “I guess us DiMeras are a bit twisted in our own way.”

As a relative newcomer to soaps (I’ve been knee-deep in soaps for two years now), hearing how many characters have been romantically involved with each other at one time or another never ceases to amaze me.

This is one of the rare moments when the characters themselves try to piece together their own romantic interludes and have to reckon with their life choices.

For EJ, who is trying (to the best of his morally grey ability) to be a new man, he’s not ashamed of his choices, but he’s clearly looking at the world through a new lens. That said, we don’t get the sense that patterns won’t repeat with him in the future, because they always do. Kristen freely admits she’d do anything for love, and we’re not entirely sure she wouldn’t do it again if the opportunity presented itself.

You’d be hard pressed to find characters on a long-running soap opera like Days of Our Lives who haven’t had their fair share of relationships and entanglements over the years. That said, I hope EJ and Kristen keep up their “twisted” DiMera way because that’s what makes watching them so much fun!

One of the biggest movies coming in June 2025 is a spin-off of a hit action franchise and if you need to catch up, a new deal at Peacock will make doing so easy.

Many people will want to sign up for this Peacock deal to stream Wicked, the hit 2024 musical which was added to the streamer in March. It's only going to be on Peacock until Sunday, July 20, and you can also see loads of bonus features on the streamer.

But if that's not your cup of tea, another recent upload may appeal to you. On Thursday, May 15, Peacock uploaded the four John Wick movies (that's the original, Chapter 2, Chapter 3 - Parabellum and Chapter 4) where they join the spin-off TV show The Continental which is already on the streamer.

These Keanu Reeves-starring movies are massive hits, and remain some of the most popular action movies of recent years. Another spin-off, Ballerina, arrives in theaters on Friday, June 6, so getting the Peacock deal will let you catch up.

Other exciting new Peacock shows include Love Island USA season 7 on Tuesday, June 3, travel competition show Destination X on Wednesday, May 28 and the return of Twisted Metal season 2 in July.

If you're more into your sport, Peacock will show Big Ten Football in fall and NBA games from October this year. It also shows Premier League soccer, primetime NFL matches and a lot more, basically anything that shows on NBC channels.

Peacock's good at offering deals year-round, but I don't imagine we'll see the price of an annual membership go any lower in the near future, and it could even go up given how frequently price hikes come to streaming subscriptions. So whether it's for Wicked, John Wick, sports, one of the new additions or something in the expansive Peacock library, I'd recommend signing up now.

In the Law & Order: SVU season 26 finale episode, “Post-Rage,” Olivia (Mariska Hargitay) and her team are called to work a case where a therapist has been attacked in her home. When it becomes evident that the suspect is a patient, SVU has a hard time narrowing down who that patient is. Can they arrest the suspect before someone else becomes a victim?

Elsewhere, someone from SVU gets a job promotion. Does this mean this person is leaving the team? Here’s what happened in Law & Order: SVU season 26 episode 22.

A promotion and an attack

Olivia walks into the squad room and asks what Velasco (Octavio Pisano) is doing there alone, working late. She offers to take him for a quick drink, and when the shock wears off, he takes her up on the offer.

Walking to the bar, he thanks her for not giving up on him. Olivia notes there were a few times she thought about throwing him out, but it turns out he’s not a lost cause. As the smiling SVU captain and her detective walk into the bar, the rest of SVU is all there and surprises Velasco with a party, celebrating his promotion to detective second grade. He’s stunned by the promotion, as Olivia didn’t tell him she was making the recommendation to the higher-ups.

Meanwhile, across town, psychiatrist Dr. Gretchen Stewart (Betsy Brandt) is awakened by an intercom buzzer. She pulls a gun and gets out of bed.

The next day, Olivia, Curry (Aimé Donna Kelly), Silva (Juliana Aidén Martinez) and Bruno (Kevin Kane) arrive at the scene of the crime. Dr. Stewart’s assistant found her lying on the floor, bludgeoned and the victim of an apparent sexual assault. Olivia and Curry survey the scene and surmise the suspect forced his way into Dr. Stewart’s home, and CSU finds gun shell casings. Additionally, Olivia finds one of Dr. Stewart’s notebooks, but pages have been torn out.

Bruno and Silva speak to the assistant, and she says Dr. Stewart didn’t mention to her about being afraid of patients. She comments that Dr. Stewart went to dinner with colleague and friend, Dr. Schwartz (Michael Torpey), the night before.

Bruno and Silva meet with Dr. Schwartz, and while he admits he’d like something romantic with Dr. Stewart, he doesn’t believe she’s interested. They’ve gone to dinners several times before. Additionally, Dr. Schwartz mentions that Dr. Stewart was counseling a couple where the husband was very problematic. SVU learns the couple in question is Anthony Fierro (Nico Coucke) and his wife Anne (Sarah Goeke), and Anthony has two prior arrests for domestic violence.

Did Anthony Fierro do it?

At the hospital, Curry and Olivia ask Dr. Stewart what she remembers. The psychiatrist says she was asleep when she heard the downstairs buzzer, the one from her office intercom panel. Sometimes she has patients with late-night emergencies, but she first got her gun and went into the office. The assailant lunged at her and pressed his thumbs into her eyes. She then blacked out.

Dr. Stewart can’t think of anyone who would do this. They show her a picture of Anthony, and she says he did a lot of ketamine and became increasingly paranoid. Anne took out a restraining order on her husband and was planning to leave him.

Silva and Bruno spot Anthony coming out of a store, but don’t approach him. He hops in an SVU and drives off, and Fin and Velasco in another nearby vehicle tail him. As Anthony in his SVU, Fin and Velasco in their SVU and Silva and Bruno behind them in their own vehicle approach a ramp, traffic stalls. Fin radios Olivia, and he suggests getting Anthony now before traffic picks up. Olivia okays it and sends Velasco and Bruno to apprehend him. Seeing the officers approach the SVU, Anthony flees on foot.

Velasco and Bruno pursue Anthony, and he fires a gun at them. He keeps running until he’s cornered on a bridge. Rather than surrender, he opts to jump off the bridge, landing on a car below and dying.

Olivia is confident the police chase signals Anthony’s guilt. However, when Silva and Bruno later meet with Anne, she’s able to pull receipts from the email account she shares with her soon-to-be ex that put him at a hotel the night of Dr. Stewart’s attack. Additionally, hotel camera footage shows Anthony on the property.

Back at the hospital, Curry and Olivia tell Dr. Stewart that Anthony didn’t do it. She is upset, and the detectives inform her that they have to look at the rest of her patients.

Who is Keith Sparks?

At the precinct, SVU narrows down the patient list to Keith Sparks, whom they can’t find. He only did a consultation with Dr. Stewart. As they continue the discussion, Silvia gets an alert about another therapist being attacked and sexually assaulted, so the squad takes off. Dr. Laura Wright was murdered by blunt force trauma to the head. Her eyes were gouged out, and she was covered with a blanket.

Oliva and Curry meet with Dr. Stewart at Dr. Schwartz's home and inform her of Dr. Wright’s murder. They ask how Keith Sparks scheduled his consultation, which leads Dr. Stewart to recall that the service Keith used sends appointment info to her laptop, which she doesn’t use often. On the computer, she only finds Keith Spark’s email. The detectives leave, thinking Dr Stewart may not be Keith’s first victim and wanting to widen the scope of their investigation outside of New York.

Bruno and Silva talk with Dr. Wright’s husband, and he shows them handwritten notes his wife took regarding her patients. The notes suggest one patient in particular had a previous physical altercation. Thinking that the person is Keith Sparks, Bruno and Silva pick him and interrogate him. The man admits to not only killing Dr. Wright, but also the former president of the United States. It instantly becomes clear he is unwell.

Later, Curry found a case in Danbury, Connecticut with the same M.O. Fin and Curry head to Danbury and go to the old apartment of the victim in that incident, and the son meets them. He shares his mom wouldn’t charge for initial consults of patients, and she gave discounts to those who made new patient referrals to her. Combing through a list of the victim’s past referrals, they’re led to a former patient, Mindy Davis (Leslie Black).

Mindy tells detectives that she referred her former coworker, Ted Schramm (Brian Krinsky), but he’s no longer working in Danbury. He’s taken a job with the Manhattan branch of their company.

Bruno, Velasco and Silva show up at Ted’s job to arrest him, and he takes off running. Bruno and Velasco chase him to the third floor of a parking garage, and he knocks Velasco before running to the roof. When Bruno corners him on the roof, Ted jumps to an adjacent building, and Bruno follows. Velasco eventually catches up and arrests Ted. Olivia and Fin interrogate him, and he's the right assailant.

As the season finale closes out, the entire SVU squad shows up to Velasco’s promotion ceremony. The episode scrolls through Velasco’s time with SVU, seemingly signaling his goodbye as Deadline reports Pisano won’t be returning as a series regular.

American Ninja Warrior season 17 hosts

Comedian Matt Iseman (Clean House) and former pro-football player Akbar Gbajabiamila (Access Hollywood) return for another season, along with co-host Zuri Hall.

Iseman has been with the series for 16 seasons and Gbajabiamila is entering his 13th season. Season 17 marks Hall's seventh year with the show.

The comedy world lost one of its brightest stars when Joan Rivers passed away back in 2014, but her spark still hasn’t been extinguished. Exhibit A to that is the fact that NBC is airing a one-hour comedy special, Joan Rivers: A Dead Funny All-Star Tribute, where many of today’s best comics will pay homage to the Rivers’ legacy.

The special, which airs at 10 pm ET/PT on NBC on Tuesday, May 13, will celebrate the decade since Rivers’ passing by having a series of comedians “revisit Rivers’ legendary cabinet of jokes and add their own personal spin to reflect today’s social and cultural landscape.”

Filmed at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, N.Y., the slate of comedians appearing on the special include Rachel Brosnahan, Margaret Cho, Nikki Glaser, Tiffany Haddish, Chelsea Handler, Neil Patrick Harris, Bill Maher, Howie Mandel, Joel McHale, Tracy Morgan, Patton Oswalt, Aubrey Plaza, Sarah Silverman, Melissa Rivers, Jean Smart and Rita Wilson.

Rivers got her start performing in Borsch Belt showrooms and Greenwich Village cabarets before she earned a chance to headline in Las Vegas and eventually her first appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in 1968. She parlayed that success into becoming the permanent guest host for Carson.

Rivers would eventually get to have her own late-night show, though The Late Show Starring Joan Rivers only lasted about a year. She had more success as a day-time talk show host, with The Joan Rivers Show earning her an Emmy. Rivers was also a fashion icon, launching her own line of jewelry, apparel and accessories and becoming a fixture on Hollywood red carpets for years, as well as starring in the likes of Mel Brooks' Spaceballs and often as a version of herself in things like Curb Your Enthusiasm and Shrek 2.

Despite the star-studded list of comedians that are performing as part of the special, in an interview with NBC’s Today, Melissa Rivers, Joan Rivers’ daughter and a producer of the special, said that “my mom’s clips still got the biggest laughs. We all walked away saying, ‘still the funniest person in the room.’”

In order to watch Joan Rivers: A Dead Funny All-Star Tribute live on NBC, you need a traditional pay-TV provider, a live TV streaming service (Fubo, Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV and YouTube TV all carry NBC) or a TV antenna. You will also be able to stream it on Peacock on-demand the next day for all subscribers, while Peacock Premium Plus subscribers can watch it live on the platform.

From Scranton to Toledo, there's a lot to love about The Paper for fans of the mega-hit NBC comedy The Office. The Peacock original series is set in "the universe of The Office," only this time the documentary crew that followed the Dunder Mifflin team has their sight set on a small-town newspaper, the Toledo Truth-Teller, struggling to stay alive in the age of online media.

Though the setup is different, there will be at least one familiar face from the flagship series as Oscar Nuñez returns, only this time he's the accountant for the same documentary team that followed him around at Dunder Mifflin.

The spinoff was created by Greg Daniels (who created the US version of The Office) and Michael Koman (co-creator of Nathan for You). Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, who co-created the UK version of The Office, are also executive producers.

The Paper arrives in the US on Peacock on September 4.

In the meantime, you can catch up on all nine seasons of The Office, including the supersized Superfan episodes, on Peacock.

The Paper is a Peacock original series, which means you need a subscription to be able to watch. You might have Peacock as part of your existing cable package, or you can subscribe to the streaming service directly.

In Law & Order: SVU season 26 episode 21, “Aperture,” SVU is called to the scene of a crime where the victim, a high school senior, won't cooperate. However, as Olivia (Mariska Hargitay) and her team work the case, they pull back layers to a convoluted investigation.

Once the squad gets the cooperation of the victim and her family, the shocking motive behind the assault slowly becomes clear. Olivia herself couldn’t have predicted where this investigation would have taken her, especially when she finally identifies the perp.

Here’s what happened in Law & Order: SVU season 26 episode 21.

An open house goes wrong

Jeremy (Jason Pintar) and Avery Smith (Jenny Ashman) tour an apartment open house. When Jeremy looks through a telescope by the living room window he spots a teenage girl (Ava Jean) in a tee and underwear being held at gunpoint. Jeremy immediately calls for help.

Velasco (Octavio Pisano) and Curry (Aimé Donna Kelly) arrive at the scene, and Jeremy shares what he saw, noting it appeared as if the young woman was sexually assaulted. Fin (Ice-T) and Olivia search the crime scene in the apartment and notice imprints in the carpet that may have belonged to a camera tripod. The duo suspects the attack may have been recorded.

Back in the squad room, the detectives look at elevator footage of the girl, the suspect and another guy (Tristan Spohn), who appears to try and protect her. Carisi (Peter Scanavino) suspects the crime was premeditated.

Who was in the elevator?

The owner of the apartment shows up at the precinct, not pleased the police caused at least $50,000 worth of damage combing the scene. Velasco and Curry shift the conversation and ask who he sublet his apartment to. His documents show Virginia Hefferman as the renter. The officers learn that Virginia’s credit card was stolen and was last used by her at a Houston gas station.

After running the elevator footage through facial recognition software, Silva (Juliana Aidén Martinez) learns the victim’s name is Josie, a senior on her way to Stanford’s pre-law program in the fall. Josie’s father is Gordon DeWinn (Christian Campbell), a wealthy businessman. The other guy in the elevator footage with Josie, not the perp, is Josie’s step-brother, Atlas, also a senior in high school. Atlas’ mom is a top lawyer from Goldman Sachs.

Because Josie is 18, Curry and Silva speak with her directly instead of speaking with her parents. Although initially hesitant, Josie admits to being sexually assaulted, but claims the suspect threatened to hurt her family if she went to the cops. Josie becomes adamant she doesn’t want the detectives’ help and walks away. Curry and Silva find it interesting she didn’t mention being filmed or the fact her brother was in the elevator.

Hearing about Josie’s reluctance to report the crime, Olivia and Carisi meet with Gordon and Natalie DeWinn and show them the images from the elevator. he parents are shocked to learn their kids had a gun pointed at them yesterday, and neither one said a word about it. Olivia convinces them to come to the station with Atlas, who is 17, to talk.

Fin and Velasco speak with Atlas, who shares the suspect approached him and Josie, flashed his gun and pushed Josie inside the apartment building. Atlas followed, not wanting Josie alone with him. Once the three were in the apartment, he put Atlas in the bathroom and said if Atlas came out, he would kill Josie. He could hear Josie crying. When it was over, they went to school like nothing happened.

Curry asks Gordon if he has any enemies. As the CEO of a publicly traded insurance company making cuts, he has a lot. Natalie, meanwhile, tells Olivia she met Gordon while they worked together and were married to other people. They divorced their spouses and got married when their kids were toddlers. Natalie notes her ex-husband, Derek (Robert Beitzel), could be upset she is about to cut off his alimony, but she doesn’t think he did this.

As Olivia and Natalie continue to talk, Natalie gets a text with a video from a number she doesn’t recognize. Olivia instructs her to press play. It’s of the gunman forcing Josie and Atlas to kiss and have sex.

Olivia learns the truth

Fin, Silva, Curry and Velasco go to the DeWinn home to speak with Josie and Atlas again. Josie claims the guy pointed a gun at them, made them kiss and forced them to have sex. Silva says she and Atlas were raped, and promises justice.

Velasco and Fin speak with Atlas, who he’s worried Josie is mad at him. He’s mad with himself, though the detectives explain it's not his fault. Before SVU leaves the DeWinn family home, the DeWinins receive a ransom demand for $5 million.

Having just arrived in town from his residence in the Bahamas, Fin and Velasco speak with Derek in an interrogation room and inform him of what happened to Josie and Atlas. The detectives then grill him about a previous arrest in the Bahamas. He was arrested for having hundreds of photos of an underage Josie in a bikini.

Derek claims Atlas always spends summers with him in the Bahamas, and one year, Atlas asked if he could bring Josie. Natalie and Gordon were fine with it. At the end of the vacation, Atlas dropped his phone and it stopped working. Atlas bought himself a new phone, and after he went home, Derek went to an electronics store to get Atlas’s phone working, and those images were found on it.

Curry and Siliva talk to Josie, who's unaware that Derek had been arrested for taking photos of her in a bikini. Josie is also in disbelief that Derek claimed the photos were taken by Atlas.

Back in the squad room, they view camera footage of a gas station where Virginia Hefferman is using her credit card at a register, and the suspected perp is working as the cashier. He steals information from the card. Josie then calls Silvia, panicked that her brother is going to beat up his father after she informed Atlas of her recent conversation with SVU. Fin and Velasco arrive at Derek’s hotel in time to stop Atlas from beating his father and arrest him.

Back at the DeWinn home, Olivia speaks with Josie. She remembers Atlas dropping his phone in the Bahamas. Olivia then asks Gordon and Natalie to search Atlas’ room for something to incriminate his father. Olivia finds dozens of candid pics of Josie hidden under Atlas’ bed.

At the precinct, Olivia and Fin speak with Atlas and Natalie. He claims to have beaten up his dad for what he did to Josie. Olivia responds by noting they have their suspect in custody and shows Atlas the suspect being taken through the squad room. Fin notes that the guy claims to know Atlas.

The perp from Houston explains he met Atlas in a video game chat room years ago. When Atlas learned his sister was going away for college, Atlas came up with the idea to rape his sister and film it. The guy was paid $2,000 by Atlas for his help, but after googling the DeWinns, he demanded a ransom for millions.

Back with Olivia, Fin, Natalie and Atlas, Atlas winds up snapping. He states he didn’t want Josie to leave. He loves her and doesn’t want anyone else to be with her. He becomes worried he’ll never get to hear Josie’s voice again. The expression on Olivia’s face is one of disgust.

I'm guilty of being a reality TV buff. I’ve seen my fair share of unscripted shows, but I recently find myself taken with a brand-new Bravo series I stumbled across while looking through Peacock — Bravo's Love Hotel.

Now in full transparency, I knew the series was set to air this spring, so it wasn’t completely off my radar. However, between Love Island USA, Love Is Blind, Queens Court, Perfect Match and other dating shows, I kept thinking, "does the world really need one more?" Well, I’m here to say, the world needed Bravo’s Love Hotel.

The new series follows four Real Housewives cast members as they attempt to find love in the comforts of a breathtaking beach resort. Shannon Storms Beador (The Real Housewives of Orange County), Gizelle Bryant (The Real Housewives of Potomac), Ashley Darby (The Real Housewives of Potomac) and Luann de Lesseps (The Real Housewives of New York City) are all single and ready to mingle. It’s been a refreshing watch for a few reasons.

For starters, I enjoy the nuance of seeing divorcées date as they seem to have a better handle on what they should be avoiding and what qualities they should be prioritizing in a mate. It’s as if there’s this added level of maturity in the way they carry themselves in this reality TV setting that I can appreciate and respect.

Then there’s the sheer comedic factor, thanks primarily to Gizelle and Ashley. Say what you will about the duo’s antics on RHOP, and you can even fall in line behind those who critique some of the mess they find themselves in with their RHOP castmates, but on Bravo’s Love Hotel, they are funny. Their commentary about the dating pool, each other and their own desires in romance has gotten a number of laughs out of me. Their comments would classify as “fun shade” as they aren’t made to offend, but rather entertain.

While Luann’s remarks aren’t what I would call witty in the series, she too, adds humor just in the way she interacts with the gentleman suitors. Luann has a brazen way in how she approaches dating, which as a non-New Yorker, I was initially inclined to question, but I have come to find charming and comical.

Speaking of the gentleman suitors, I really am loving the fact that they allegedly don’t watch the Housewives franchises, so they seemingly have no preconceived notions about the reality stars. Now they’re all on a reality TV show, but the guys so far don’t come off as if they are chasing fame.

All in all, while many Bravo fans may find themselves fixated on The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 16, The Valley season 2 and other shows currently in the weekly lineup, Bravo’s Love Hotel is the best new show from the network, and actually, the best show currently airing on the network.

For those interested in tuning in, Bravo’s Love Hotel airs live on Sunday on Bravo, and becomes available to stream the next day on Peacock.

Hear ye, hear ye, court is in session as a new dating show is taking to the streaming world in Kings Court. The spinoff of the popular Queens Court series, the new show features some high-profile eligible bachelors in their quest for romance. With Hollywood supercouple Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete guiding the experience as the co-hosts, viewers will have to watch and see if real love connections are formed.

The 2025 Kentucky Derby will be shown on Saturday, May 3 on NBC. Coverage will begin at 2:30 pm ET/11:30 am PT and the big race itself is expected to begin at 6:57 pm ET/3:57 pm PT.

NBC is free to watch but you can also see the race on NBCSports.com and the NBC sports app. But there are other ways to watch online too.

Where is the Kentucky Derby 2025?

The Kentucky Derby is held at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky.

In Law & Order: SVU season 26 episode 20, "Shock Collar," Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish) joins Olivia (Mariska Hargitay) and the SVU squad as they investigate the abduction of a little girl. Looking into the usual suspects, they zero in on a parent as the parent mysteriously goes off the grid around the same time of the kidnapping.

However, as the detectives work the case, they soon learn something more sinister is at play, and there’s another victim. When it’s all said and done, Olivia is asking what kind of mother does this to her child?

Here’s what happened in Law & Order: SVU season 26 episode 20.

A delivery gone wrong

Cady Greene (Lea Zawada) buckles her daughter Haley (Aislin Echo Wood) in the back seat of the car. Haley doesn’t feel good, so Cady is taking her to the doctor’s office. However, Cady makes a pit stop to deliver breakfast to a regular, and while dropping off the food, someone steals her car with her daughter in it.

Meanwhile, Olivia and Amanda walk their kids to school when Amanda thanks Olivia for getting her daughters into the gifted program. Olivia is happy the girls are going to Noah’s (Ryan Buggle) school. Their conversation is cut short when Olivia gets a call about the abduction and heads to the scene with Amanda.

There, Olivia brings her team up to speed and sends them canvassing the neighborhood. Curry (Aimé Donna Kelly) and Silva (Juliana Aidén Martinez) speak with a woman who reports seeing a white rental van that followed Cady’s car.

Where is Haley’s dad?

In the squad room, Olivia and Amanda ask Cady if there is anyone in her life who may have targeted Haley, but she can’t think of anyone. They wonder about Haley’s father, Dylan (Joshua Bess). Cady claims Haley sees him a weekend a month as he’s a musician with gigs. The two parents aren’t having custody disputes, but when Cady calls him, she just gets his voicemail. Subsequently, SVU has no luck tracking Dylan down or even getting a ping off his cell phone.

NYPD’s tech team is able to get an image of the kidnapper from Ring cameras along the block, learning the suspect is a woman. She approached the car with a mask, waved at Haley sitting in the back, then took the car. Olivia and Amanda show Cady the footage, but she doesn’t recognize the woman. Silva and Velasco (Octavio Pisano) then inform Amanda and Olivia that Cady’s car has been found burned under a bridge. When SVU arrives, there are no signs of Haley.

Back at the squad room, Silva finds it odd that they can’t reach Dylan. Olivia sends her to Brooklyn to ask his neighbors about him. The young detective speaks with one of Dylan’s neighbors, who shares he is “cool” and believes he’s a decent guy. The neighbor claims she saw Dylan yesterday morning get into a white van with his guitar. Curry and Velasco later receive some footage from the tech team of Haley and the mystery woman walking from Cady’s burning car to a white delivery van, where a man with his face covered is the driver.

Dylan finally shows up at the squad room, curious to know what’s going on. He states he’s been in a recording session where no phones are allowed. Olivia and Amanda ask if he knows where Haley is. He says he doesn’t. The detectives inform him his daughter has been kidnapped. He appears to panic, and Olivia asks if there is anyone he can think of who may have taken his daughter. He can't. Olivia later confirms Dylan’s alibi, so he is no longer a suspect.

Another victim comes to light

SVU is debriefing Carisi (Peter Scanavino) when Amanda gets disturbing news. She shares that Haley’s image popped up on a website. Amanda shows footage of a mystery woman putting a shock collar on Haley’s neck, then shocking the young girl. Amanda calls it “delegated sadism.”

Meeting with tech team, Curry asks if they can track the content creator’s whereabouts. Unfortunately, the creator used a VPN to hide their location. However, some subscribers didn’t use a VPN, so they can be tracked down. The squad picks up these subscribers and interviews them to see what they know. One man in particular claims he’s not a big fan of seeing Haley in the video, but used to watch the other videos on the site that featured the “original” girl. While those videos were taken down, he has screen recordings of them.

The detectives look at one of these videos. Amanda says there is nothing in the databases about the girl shown. Watching the footage again, Olivia points out the dogs in the background and suspects the kidnappers may be held up at a dog training facility or kennel. After analyzing the footage, the acoustics lab narrowed the breed of dogs to either Rottweilers, Dobermans or Cane Corsos. Curry comes up with a shortlist of nearby breeders for these kinds of dogs, and Olivia sends her team to talk to all of them.

Where is Haley?

Velasco, Curry and Silva go from one kennel to another until they stumble across one where they learn some interesting information. After showing her a picture of the other missing girl, the owner claims she’s the daughter of the Carwoods, a husband/wife duo who breeds Rottweilers.

Once they’re able to confirm Dennis (Skylar T. Adams) and Nicole Carwood (J.J. Pyle) had a daughter, SVU and Amanda arrive outside of their home, ready to go in with local authorities. Before they get the chance, Nicole shoots Dennis. When cops burst in, Dennis is on the couch bleeding and Nicole has a gun to her head. Olivia convinces Nicole to put down the weapon, and she’s arrested.

In the basement of the home, they find the set from the videos, but no sign of the two girls. Olivia has the canine unit called in, and a dog finds the body of a dead girl. The girl is later identified as the biological daughter of Dennis and Nicole, the first girl in the videos.

In police custody, neither Dennis nor Nicole is very forthcoming about where Haley is being held. That is, until a deal is mentioned. Ultimately, Nicole talks first, and detectives track Haley to a greenhouse.

Later at the hospital, Olivia and Amanda speak to Cady, who says she and Haley are moving to Vermont with her parents. Amanda then gets a text from Carisi that the Carwoods will get 25 years to life in prison.

New episodes of Law and Order: SVU air on Thursdays on NBC and become available the next day on Peacock.

Steve Soderberg is hurting, but there’s something we can do to cheer him up: watch Black Bag now that it is available to stream on Peacock.

This won’t fix the fact that one of the best-reviewed movies of the year (and one we gave four stars in our official Black Bag review) has made a disappointing $21.4 million at the US box office — making it the 26th highest grossing movie of 2025 as of publication — and less than $40 million globally.

But what we can do is show Sodebergh and those in Hollywood that there is an interest in these types of well made, mid-budget movies that are more geared toward older audiences, even if it is after the fact. That may be something Soderbergh needs to hear right now after comments he gave in an interview to Business Insider.

“It’s not fun to spend a lot of time and effort on something that just occupies zero cultural real estate,” said Soderbergh. “That’s not why any filmmaker wants to make movies. You want as many people to see them as possible.”

Black Bag is an original script from Jurassic Park and Mission: Impossible writer David Koepp and stars Michael Fassbender, Cate Blanchett, Rege-Jean Page, Pierce Brosnan and more. The movie centers on Fassbender's spy George Woodhouse, who has to try and figure out if his wife (Blanchett), a fellow spy, betrayed her country before a catastrophic event occurs.

That seems like the exact kind of antidote to what so many people I hear complain about with the movies. It’s not based on any existing IP, it’s not simply geared toward a child or middle-brow audience. Heck, the movie isn’t even long — Soderbergh packs a fully effective, taut spy thriller into just over 90 minutes.

And again, this isn’t me stumping for a little publicized movie that had mixed reviews. This is a movie that had the backing of a big-name specialty distributor that is part of a larger studio, Focus Features, and its 96% “Certified Fresh” score from critics is among the best of the year, with a positive audience rating as well on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite all of that, Black Bag performed less than other 2025 new movies Flight Risk and Snow White at the box office, both of which were panned by critics.

We’re seeing time and time again that people are willing to go back to the movies. Sinners has become one of the biggest hits of the year and is rejuvenating moviegoers, which is perfect timing as we head into the 2025 blockbuster movie season. Like Soderbergh, though, I’m surprised that that same level of enthusiasm can’t be found for a movie as well-made as Black Bag.

If this continues to happen, as Soderbergh warns, it could spell doom for these mid-budget movies, which are often where filmmakers get to do some fun and different things (even Sinners was made for less than $100 million, less than typical Hollywood tentpoles in the superhero genre).

Again, at this point there’s nothing we can do to fix Black Bag’s box office performance. But this is where streaming can do what it does best — give an overlooked movie or TV show a second chance that shows we do want these type of projects.

It's Wednesday and if you're a One Chicago fan then you know that NBC's trio of Dick Wolf shows own the night. But is Chicago Fire on TV tonight, April 30? Here's what you need to know.

The technical answer to the question is, yes, there is an episode of Chicago Fire season 13 on TV tonight, but it's a repeat episode from earlier in the season. As is customary with the One Chicago shows, NBC is spacing out the new episodes so that they stretch into May for what's sure to be a thrilling season finale.

Thankfully, fans won't have to wait long to see what happens next on Chicago Fire. The next new episode of Chicago Fire season 13 airs Wednesday, May 7. The title of the new episode is "Cut Me Open" and here's the episode description:

"With the crew stretched thin, a performance efficiency expert evaluates Firehouse 51; Kidd and Severide bond with the mother of the baby they hope to adopt."

Not surprisingly, since Chicago Fire is a rerun the other two shows in the One Chicago Block, Chicago Med season 10 and Chicago P.D. season 12, are also repeats. Both shows will also return May 7 with new episodes.

The next new episode of Chicago Med is titled "The Invisible Hand." The description for that episodes read, "The hospital faces a staffing crisis as the nurses stage a sick-out; Archer and Frost bet on who can discharge their patients first; Charles' distrust of a patient complicates his treatment."

The May 7 episode of Chicago P.D. is titled "Black Ice." Here's the description: "Ruzek witnesses a tragic accident on an icy bridge, leading Intelligence into a dark, sinister case involving sex trafficking."

Looking ahead at the upcoming schedule, the season finales of all three One Chicago shows is Wednesday, May 21.

Chicago Fire season 13 airs Wednesdays at 9 pm ET/PT on NBC, with new episodes available to stream the following day on Peacock. Chicago Med season 10 airs at 8 pm ET/PT, and Chicago P.D. season 12 caps off the night at 10 pm ET/PT.

Before The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 16 kicked off, my favorite person announced to be a part of the cast was the returning vet, Porsha Williams. Porsha has usually been a source of laughs amongst all the drama of reality TV. Although she’s not above arguing and shading some of her castmates, her natural comedic antics are what I remember most.

However, as the season 16 episodes continue to roll out, I can say Porsha isn’t the runaway star of the franchise. After eight weeks, I’m surprised to say that Angela Oakley is the star of the season, ironically thanks in part to Porsha’s antics (honorable mention to Shamea Morton).

Porsha and Angela have been clashing from the moment the group touched down in Nashville for Porsha’s birthday celebration. To be fair, I have to call Angela out for inviting Drew Sidora on Porsha’s trip, knowing Porsha and Drew are at odds. Angela may have had the good intentions of wanting to patch things up between the two women, but in terms of birthday trip decorum, Angela was out of order. But Porsha’s visceral response has felt entirely unwarranted, even calling Angela an "it" in a conversation with Shamea.

In The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 16 episode 8, “Boots on the Ground,” Porsha takes things to a place where they didn’t need to go. At her birthday dinner, Angela brings up the fact that Brit Eady mentioned that Porsha believes Angela has been playing victim in their back-and-forth. Shamea further clarifies that Porsha believes Angela is guilty of “gaslighting.” Angela calmly addresses Porsha directly, asking why Porsha feels gaslit, and Porsha passive-aggressively answers with “I don’t remember.” Angela tries her best to clear the air, but between Brit and Shamea taking up Porsha’s battle and Porsha ignoring the conversation, things go left.

Angela asks why she’s the only one “ever held accountable?” She then turns to Kelli and wonders if she ever got her response from Porsha, referencing when Kelli wanted to know “why did she [Porsha] take that woman’s husband?” As Angela sees it, Porsha was never held accountable for the issues surrounding her second marriage, and believes “the world” never got the answers.

Cynthia tries to break up the very tense moment at this point by suggesting the group move on. She questions if Porsha wants to address anything Angela said first, and Porsha responds, “No, I want Angela to kiss my a**.”

Fast forward to later, and Porsha, Brit, Shamea and Kelli have a late-night party at the pool. As Angela recaps, around 2:30 am, she was on the phone with her husband, retired NBA star Charles Oakley, and she heard her name. Angela alleges that Porsha was “inebriated” and she heard Porsha say, “I should f**k Charles.” According to Angela, the four ladies continue to talk about her, and in a move I can’t help but respect, she goes to the pool to confront the ladies (which is seen on camera). Porsha, in particular, claims she didn’t say anything about Angela or her husband.

Now in her confessional, when a producer questions Porsha directly if she talked about Angela or Charles at the pool, subtitles state Porsha replied, “I didn’t say anything, okay?” But if you ask me, it sounds like she said “I didn’t say hennything” ( a reference to Hennessy drink). Either way, Kelli in her confessional confirms that Porsha stated, "She [Angela] better stop before I f**k her husband."

When Andy Cohen subsequently asked Porsha about the comment on Watch Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Porsha laughingly states, "First off, all my public apologies, but I don’t know hennything.” She further goes on to say it was a “late-night kiki” and “she [Angela] wasn’t supposed to hear that.”

Considering all the turmoil that ensued surrounding Porsha’s engagement to her soon-to-be ex, I was stunned Porsha would make such a statement, even if it was perhaps in jest. Not only that, but I’m not a fan of anyone being trashed by a group of people when the person is within earshot of the gossip.

Kudos to Angela for not only confronting them, but also for being able to crack jokes about the whole ordeal in her confessional. Additionally, I applaud her for not putting on for the cameras when Kelli approached her, all smiles, the day after the pool incident. Angela bluntly told her she didn’t want to dabble in fake conversation. Judging by the following preview clip for the episode airing on May 4, Angela is going to further address the elephants in the room in a mighty shady, yet comical, way.

Outside of Angela's ability to go toe-to-toe with Porsha and address things head-on, I also appreciate her as a housewife because her storyline with her family appears real and relatable. Her dynamic with her husband is enjoyable to watch, especially as it appears he's not playing it up for the cameras. I love it when reality stars come off as authentic.

Preparations for the annual gala continue in Grosse Pointe Garden Society. What to Watch has an exclusive clip of the April 25 episode in which Catherine (Aja Naomi King) presides over a tasting menu.

It has been busy for the gardeners as life continues to throw challenges and roadblocks in their way.

As you can see, Catherine has a lot to say about the tasting menu from one of the prospective caterers for the gala. The chef might have a Michelin star, but Catherine isn't impressed by the food despite Alice (AnnaSophia Robb) and Brett's (Ben Rappaport) attempts to put a positive spin on the offerings.

Birdie (Melissa Fumero) is feeling utterly nauseous by the massive spread and it doesn't help when Catherine says the next tasting menu, presented by a James Beard Award winner, will arrive in a few days. Unfortunately, Alice has a new puppy at home and Brett's hosting a house full of sick kids. They know Catherine is feeling the pressure of selling her childhood home, even though she says it's not a big deal and she looks forward to the commission.

After explaining that her puppy has to go outside to potty every two hours, Birdie suggests a night nurse while Catherine jokes that maybe she should have had a baby. No, Alice says quickly, "that would have been way worse."

Needless to say, there's a lot of life happening amongst the Grosse Pointe Garden Society gardeners, and that's not even counting all of the other drama in their lives. We can't wait to tune in to see what happens next!

Brilliant Minds was one of many bright spots in the 2024-2025 TV schedule. In a crowded field of new medical shows, including Doc, The Pitt and Pulse, Brilliant Minds stood out from the crowd as a medical drama with heart. Fans are currently awaiting word on Brilliant Minds season 2, but I believe the Zachary Quinto medical drama deserves another season.

In Brilliant Minds, Quinto plays Dr. Oliver Wolf, a brilliant neurosurgeon with a penchant for solving challenging medical mysteries. His heightened sense of perception comes from his own experiences dealing with face blindness, a condition that prevents him from being able to recognize the faces of people around him.

Dr. Sacks is joined by a team of interns, played by Ashleigh LaThrop, Aury Krebs, Spence Moore II and Alex MacNicoll, who start out questioning his outside-the-box methods, only to realize that the eccentric doctor is practicing a very special kind of medicine.

Brilliant Minds stands out from other medical dramas because it rejects the idea of "treat 'em and street 'em;" instead of pushing patients through the system, Dr. Wolf took time to ensure that he not only had the correct diagnosis, but that he also had the proper treatment plan in place even when the hospital higher-ups encouraged him to pick up the pace.

Each week, the show focuses on a couple of cases and takes time to do a deep dive on the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of each patient's case. While it's not technically a medical mystery show, like Watson, Brilliant Minds turns the diagnosis into a character unto itself, and that's what makes it special.

ER dramas are best when they operate at breakneck paces, like The Pitt, and we love soapy medical dramas like Grey's Anatomy and Pulse because the doctors' personal lives take center stage. Brilliant Minds isn't set in an ER, and though we do learn a lot about the doctors' personal lives, it's what they do for their patients that really matters.

Of all the medical dramas this season, Brilliant Minds seems the least realistic of all and that's what makes it enjoyable. No symptom is too small, and things that might be dismissed or overlooked by exhausted doctors in a packed ER are usually the key that unlocks the medical mystery and leads to the proper course of treatment.

Brilliant Minds stands apart from the crowd by being different. It's inspiring and entertaining, and in a crowded landscape of medical dramas it absolutely deserves a second season.

When will we be hearing the classic call to welcome — “Live from New York, it’s Saturday Night” — next? Well, it won’t be this week, Saturday, April 19, as the Saturday Night Live season 50 not airing a new episode. In fact, it’ll be a couple of weeks, as it looks like the next time the comedy series will be back with a new episode is on May 3.

SNL is coming off three straight weeks of new episodes that aired on March 29, April 5 and April 12. Hosts for those episodes included Mikey Madison (and Morgan Wallen’s now infamous quick exit after being the musical performer), Jack Black and Jon Hamm. On average that’s been about how many shows SNL produces in a row this season before taking a mini break.

But if you have made watching SNL part of your weekly habit, NBC is going to air a rerun of the show at its usual 11:30 pm ET time slot on April 19 (we’d expect the same for next Saturday, April 26). You can watch that if you have access to NBC through a pay-TV provider, TV antenna or live TV streaming service. Or you can watch any previous episode of SNL if you are a Peacock subscriber.

As for the May 3 episode of SNL, Abbott Elementary star and creator Quinta Brunson has been tapped to host, joined by musical guest Benson Boone. Abbott Elementary season 4 recently wrapped, which WTW’s own Terrell Smith called the best of the series to date.

This will be Brunson’s second time hosting SNL, she previously hosted during SNL season 48 in 2023. Among the highlights from Brunson’s initial episode was this hilarious sketch depicting a traffic altercation:

We’re approaching the end of SNL’s historic 50th season. While nothing is confirmed, most SNL seasons the last few years have had about 20 episodes (save for 2023, which had 18, impacted by the 2023 Hollywood strikes). Brunson’s episode on May 3 is going to be the 18th episode of SNL this season, so many expect there to be two to three more before they shut things down for the year.
