Celebrity Race Across the World is about to return with four new celebrity duos heading on an adventure of a lifetime

The last series was an absolute cracker, and we particularly enjoyed watching Radio DJ Kelly Brook and her ultra-competitive husband Jeremy lovingly bicker throughout the whole journey. She wanted to see the sights, and he wanted to win by going on as many overnight buses as possible. They ended up coming last, so perhaps they should have just spent more time enjoying the fabulous locations!

This time, the celebs are heading to the Caribbean and the Pacific coast of Central America.

Celebrity Race Across the World line-up

The four celebrity duos embarking on the ultimate adventure are: Broadcaster and writer Anita Rani and her dad, Bal; Beyond Paradise actor Dylan Llewellyn and his mum, Jackie; partners, presenter and DJ Tyler West and actor and singer, Molly Rainford; broadcaster Roman Kemp and his sister, singer-songwriter, Harleymoon.

As normal, the celebs will have to survive without their bank cards and smartphones. Instead, they will have to struggle with local transport and limited budgets.

Route

The journey begins on the idyllic and tiny Caribbean island of Isla Mujeres, just off the easternmost point of Mexico. There are stunning beaches and amazing snorkelling opportunities, but the celebs won't have time for that as they're challenged to race 5,900km to reach the finish line in the remote and breathtaking Península de La Guajira in Colombia — the gateway to South America.

Daisy May Cooper and her brother Charlie, who shot to fame in This Country, will investigate the paranormal in a new BBC2 show.

Daisy May and Charlie Cooper’s NightWatch will see the pair locked together in some of Britain's most haunted places.

They said: "We've both had a brush with the paranormal, and really do love the concept of life after death, so we thought this could be the perfect way to prove to the world that we’re not delusional. It will be a miracle if we both come out alive and well."

The series will open at HM Prison Gloucester, which is close to their hometown. The prison was shut down long ago, but the pair will be locked together in a small cell as they pray not to be visited by the ghosts of ex-convicts!

Nightwatch certainly seems to have a similar vibe to Yvette Fielding's classic long-running paranormal series, Most Haunted.

Daisy apparently has a "spooky briefcase" full of the latest paranormal detecting wizardry to see if there are any ghosts about.

The BBC teases that the pair will also explore "a historic castle in Northumberland, an old pub frequented by highwaymen in Cannock Chase, bat-infested ruins in Herefordshire, a creepy cinema in York and an isolated bothy in the remote Scottish Highlands”.

Obviously, spending so much time together locked up, the pair will also get a chance to talk about their own lives, including their huge hit This Country.

So if you’re into ghosts and This Country, this certainly could be for you!

The BBC has yet to reveal a release date for Daisy May and Charlie Cooper's NightWatch. It's six parts, and each episode is 30 minutes.

The BBC has announced that Sophie Willan will take over from Sara Pascoe as the new host of The Great British Sewing Bee.

Sara has been at the helm for three series, but the BBC has decided to mix things up by having Alma’s Not Normal star Sophie taking over.

Sophie also featured in the first series of Ludwig opposite David Mitchell.

The star will make her debut in the show's upcoming Christmas special before fronting the new series when it arrives on BBC One and iPlayer next year.

Cal Turner, Commissioning Editor, said: "We are delighted to welcome Sophie Willan to The Great British Sewing Bee. With her boundless enthusiasm and energy, Sophie will bring her own unique spark to the sewing room alongside Patrick and Esme. We’d also like to thank Sara Pascoe for three brilliant series — her humour and charm have been a joy for viewers and stitchers alike."

Tom Davies, Executive Producer Love Productions says: "We are so excited to have Sophie join the Sewing Bee team and we cannot wait to see what she brings to the Sewing Room."

The BBC also took the chance to thank Sara for her contribution to the show.

Sophie follows in the footsteps of Sara, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Joe Lycett and Claudia Winkleman. The show has been a huge hit for the BBC, first launching in April 2013.

The final of the current series will air next Tuesday on BBC1 at 9 pm, which will be Sara's last appearance. The finalists tackle three challenges in their bid to be crowned this year's winner. They begin by following the pattern for a deceptively simple bias-cut slip dress, where one mistake in cutting the fabric could cost them the chance to continue.

In the transformation challenge, they make garments using sheer fabric before finally tackling the art of trompe l'oeil, creating illusions with fabric to fit their chosen friend or family member. Three finalists, three challenges — but only one will be crowned as the latest champion.

Strictly Come Dancing 2025 is heading for our screens next week, bringing glitz and glamour back to our Saturday nights once again. But, there is a big change heading for the series as the way we vote has altered.

It was announced by the BBC that phone voting has been dropped from the show, meaning all fans of the series will now need to vote for their favorites online.

The BBC says: "For years, shows like Strictly Come Dancing, BBC Sports Personality of the Year and Eurovision let viewers vote by calling premium-rate numbers. However, this is now an outdated system and also expensive to run.

"Online voting has become the go-to choice for most viewers. In fact, the overwhelming majority of votes for the last Strictly series were cast online."

Online-only voting can be done via your BBC account, which the BBC explains 'offers a more personalised iPlayer experience and weather updates tailored to your location'.

Back for the new series are Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman in their presenting roles, with Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Anton du Beke all returning to the judging panel.

The celebrity lineup includes Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Dani Dyer, Vicky Pattison, Alex Kingston, Balvinder Sopal, Stefan Dennis, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Chris Robshaw, Ellie Goldstein, George Clarke, La Voix, Ross King, Karen Carney, and Lewis Cope.

Actor Kristian Nairn was also announced but had to withdraw for medical reasons, with Lewis Cope replacing him.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to our screens on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

MasterChef has revealed that food critic Grace Dent and chef Anna Haugh will be the new judges for the upcoming 22nd amateur series of the BBC1 cookery show.

There's been plenty of speculation about who would replace axed presenters Gregg Wallace and John Torode.

Both of the new hosts have a history with the show, with Grace being a regular guest critic and appearing as a contestant on MasterChef: Battle of the Critics 2023. She's also a judge in the next series of Celebrity MasterChef. Meanwhile, Anna has been a judge on the Professionals version in 2022 and is also a judge in the final week of this year's controversial series.

Grace Dent says: "I'm over the moon to be coming back to the MasterChef kitchen and unearthing what culinary skills people have been cooking up behind closed doors. It’s a joy to be working with Anna, who brings all her incredible experience to the table. I am in for such a treat with this series, I can’t wait to get started."

Anna Haugh says: "I’m delighted to be back on MasterChef and judging alongside the wonderful Grace Dent, whose writing and wit I've admired for years. MasterChef has long inspired and resonated with cooks in home kitchens and of course in my industry. I can’t wait to get into the studio for what will be a great competition."

While some fans might have feared the series wouldn't come back after all the furore around the current series, the BBC has now confirmed the new presenters, as well as saying it will be 21 parts.

MasterChef Executive Editor, David Ambler, said: “A big welcome to Grace and Anna to the MasterChef judging team. Both are enormously respected in the hospitality industry and we can’t wait for them to uncover some more great cooking talent - from home kitchens across the country.”

Meanwhile, Matt Tebbutt is going to be the new judge on MasterChef: The Professionals.

The current series continues on Wednesday on BBC1 at 8 pm. The 16 heat winners will return for knockout week, competing for the final 10 places. The first group has to create a dish they would be proud to put on the menu of their own restaurant or menu, with only the best going through the next round — their first professional kitchen service. Chef Theo Randall puts them through their paces as they deliver food to customers in the five-star InterContinental Hotel.

It has been announced today (Monday, September 8) that I'm A Celebrity... South Africa has been commissioned for a second action-packed season.

The I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here spin-off show received rave reviews when it aired in 2023, with the all-star version of the iconic series bringing together some of the most memorable campmates from series' gone by.

The first season of I'm A Celebrity... South Africa was such a huge hit that ITV has announced a second series will air in 2026, as more faces from the show's past return to test themselves in brand-new trials and challenges in the South African wilderness.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will once again be hosting the new series, which promises to be bigger and better than ever before. ITV's official announcement said: "Campmates have already proved that they can survive the Australian jungle, but this is I’m A Celebrity… on a whole new level, it’s where legends are made.

"The trials are tougher than ever and with that, so are the stakes. With relentless twists and turns, the campmates will never know what’s coming next. They will be faced with challenges at every turn, quickly learning that with big decisions come even bigger consequences…"

There is also an exciting new twist heading for the next series, which will see the public have the power to decide who is crowned the ultimate legend 2026.

After weeks of shocks, showdowns and survival, viewers will be able to have their say and cast the final vote in a live grand final broadcast direct from London.

Speaking of the new series, Ant said: “The campmates really brought their A-game to the first series so we can’t wait to be back for more trials, challenges and surprises amongst the beautiful South African landscape.”

While Dec added: “Having a live final is an exciting addition to the new series with the viewers choosing their IAC Legend and we’ve heard some of the new trials are truly epic, even by I’m A Celeb… standards!.”

Strictly Come Dancing 2025 is just around the corner and, now that we know which celebrity contestants are taking part, everyone's trying to work out who might be joining the Strictly Come Dancing winners list.

While former Emmerdale favourite Lewis Cope is currently favourite to win at 7/2, Ross King is unfortunately predicted to be the first elimination for the new series at 80/1.

However, in a shock turn of events, Neighbours legend Stefan Dennis has been given virtually no chance of winning after being given whopping odds of 50-1. According to bookmakers Oddschecker, the Neighbours legend could be one of the first to leave the competition, but of course, this is based on nothing but speculation.

One thing Stefan most definitely has on his side is the number of Neighbours fans who will be voting in their droves. If viewers of the Australian soap can get the show renewed after it was axed by Channel 5 back in 2022, then who knows how far Stefan might get in the series.

One of the world's most popular baking shows returns when The Great British Baking Show gets its 2025 season on Tuesday, September 2 (though it's called The Great British Bake Off in the one country that gets it on release day).

This 16th season of the hit baking show is set to bring another 12 contestants into the tent including hairdressers, bridal designers and students. Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith return as do hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding.

Starting with Cake Week, the bakers will go through different tests each episode to see how they measure up. Two new themed weeks have been confirmed in Back to School Week and Meringue Week, the latter of which in particular will be sure to test whichever contestants are still in the running.

The honeymooners’ beach homes might look lovely and exotic but they had a tough time, particularly with bugs and the weather - the sunsets in the Philippines were extraordinary but when it rained, it was biblical," says Davina. "There’s no mirrors or make-up, so the women, in particular, are stripped of everything that makes you feel comfortable, safe and attractive. Bride Mae felt she was losing something of herself; we get to see how that manifests and how her partner reacts to that."

Tell us about some of the honeymooners…

"We really get to know the couples before seeing them getting married," reveals Davina. "Like bride Helen. She’s struggling with the fact her mum has cancer and her brother has a terminal brain tumor, but she wants to find love. We see how much it means to her and we're already invested."

And where do you fit into proceedings?

"These couples are genuinely stranded. I asked the producers: ‘Can I go out to the island?’ And they replied: ‘No, that's the point of the show, they’re stranded, no one else is there!’ So, instead, I pop up intermittently via an iPad delivered in crates that wash up onto the shore, usually bringing them some sort of news, sometimes good… sometimes not so good."

And what is Couples Cove?

"Couples Cove is where each couple eventually gets to meet the other stranded honeymooners, which means reuniting with people they met speed dating that they may also have connected with," explains Davina. "Maybe the person they married wasn't their first choice - and their first choice is now at Couples Cove! This show has every twist and turn you could dream of."

Sounds like this could cause ructions...

"Our stranded honeymooners can quit the process whenever they want," says Davina, "but they have to do it in a dramatic ‘I’m done’ kind of way by releasing an emergency flare, making their departure very final. And we get a ‘flare out’ VERY early on."

How do you think you'd cope with being Stranded on Honeymoon Island?

"I'm quite low maintenance in terms of makeup but nice clothes make me feel ‘me’, so I’d want at least one other dress with me, so I can feel pretty, and I’d love a warm bath," says Davina. "I’d want some protection from the insects because I’d have a bit of a problem with them… but I’d have a whopper of a problem with the ‘open’ loo situation. No one wants to have the ‘poo chat’ that early into a relationship!"

That said, Davina admits she'd quite enjoy being stranded on a remote island with her partner, TV hair stylist Michael Douglas...

"We really get on and are both immensely practical people," she says. "He’s brilliant at DIY, building things and making things out of nothing, and I’d like to think I’d just get stuck in, too. So Michael would be the one wearing the trousers, but I would be a great ‘sous chef’; helpful, efficient, enthusiastic and happy. I'd bring the joy!"

The Inheritance release date

The Inheritance starts on Sunday, August 31 at 9 pm on Channel 4, continuing on Monday, September 1 at 9 pm and Tuesday, September 2 at 9.30 pm. That's three episodes a week to make sure you don't miss any drama!

What's the aim of the game?

A game of wit, wisdom and sheer hard graft, The Inheritance is best described as the lovechild of The Traitors and The Apprentice.

As the series begins, 13 strangers are summoned to a grand stately home in Dorset, where they’ll compete for share of the fortune left in The Deceased’s will - and she’s designed a deviously difficult game to ensure that only the most cunning can get their hands on it.

Who's playing The Deceased?

The glamourous benefactor at the heart of the show, known as The Deceased is portrayed by actor, model and national treasure Elizabeth Hurley.

She's very much alive and well and ready to put these wannabe beneficiaries through their paces.

"At first, my character wasn't glamorous… she was very old - but they changed that, then added Robert and this stately home into the mix and I thought it was fabulous," teases Elizabeth, 60, at the official launch of the show at The Ned hotel in London. "I watched an episode of The Traitors and loved it, so I'm grateful to have been asked. Because my parts are pre-recorded [The Deceased sets out the rules of her requests from beyond the grave] it’ll be exciting for me to watch it play out."

Who is The Executor of The Inheritance?

Acting as The Executor is everyone’s favourite TV barrister Robert Rinder, who’ll oversee proceedings as the 13 players work as a team to complete The Deceased’s final requests, a series of challenges designed for players to win a share of her considerable fortune.

"I’ve experienced the full buffet of cases in my legal life, and barristers need to have an intuitive sense of how all kinds of people are going to behave," says Robert, 47. "This show explores how people might react when you put a fortune in front of them; how they might approach issues of fairness, how they might mislead people and what they might do when people aren’t looking."

As they say, there's no such thing as a free lunch and the players will be put to the ultimate test emotionally, physically and mentally to win a share of The Deceased's fortune. So what sorts of challenges can viewers expect for these 'final requests'?

"The requests are very fitting for this lady and her estate,' says Elizabeth. "For example, the first one relates to sourcing and bottling wine; everyone has to put on diving suits and plunge into this hideous lake. The Deceased comes up with a whole host of interesting things for these poor people to do - all of which she would’ve done herself. Obviously."

How lovely that the team has to work together to literally share the wealth...

Hmm... Not quite. You see, there's a catch: Only one player can be named Prime Beneficiary from each request and they must convince the others that they alone should take all the money they earned as a group. The Inheritance is not about who deserves the cash - but who can outsmart the rest to claim it!

So how exactly is the Prime Beneficiary chosen?

Once each of The Deceased's requests is complete, players gather for the Division Ceremony, with a brave few stepping forward to make the claim to be Prime Beneficiary and take all the money they earned as a team.

As discussions - and arguments - ensue, The Executor is casting a watchful eye on proceedings...

"At first, I was very much playing a part of The Executor but then it started to really matter to me that any encounters I had with these participants were real, just as it would be putting someone on the spot in the witness box," says Robert. "It’s not just about winning the money; there are a number of emotional, psychological and sociological elements, too. I’m rarely surprised by anything but what transpires really did alter my perception of how I believed people behaved."

Where is The Inheritance filmed?

The Inheritance is filmed at a grand country estate in Devon, which enabled Elizabeth to fully immerse herself into the character of The Deceased.

"The fact we were getting dressed and made up in that big house made a real difference," she says. "It is exquisite and a real treat to be there. And we had an amazing costumier, Miranda Almond, who found the most fabulous couture. I knew I wouldn’t need to see any photos or do any fittings beforehand - I trusted she was going to bring me great dresses and she did!"

It has been announced today, Thursday, August 21, that Game of Thrones star, Kristian Nairn, has had to pull out of Strictly Come Dancing 2025 due to 'unexpected medical reasons'.

The news comes ahead of the new series, which starts next month, meaning a new celebrity had had to be found to take Kristian's place. The BBC has confirmed that the new celebrity joining the line-up will be revealed on tonight's The One Show on BBC One from 7 pm.

Speaking of having to withdraw from the seires, Kristian Nairn said: “With a heavy heart, I have to step back from this season of Strictly Come Dancing due to unexpected medical reasons. I was truly looking forward to the journey, and I’m deeply sorry to disappoint anyone who was looking forward to seeing me on the dance floor. Thank you all for your support, and I will be back on my feet very soon, in every sense. Love to all, Kristian."

Sarah James, Executive Producer, BBC Studios added: “We’ve absolutely loved getting to know Kristian in this short time, and he has all the makings of a brilliant Strictly Come Dancing contestant. We’re incredibly sorry to lose him from this year’s series and we all wish him a speedy recovery.”

The new famous face will be joining this year's already confirmed line-up, which includes Harry Aikines-Aryeetey from Gladiators, TV personality Dani Dyer, star of stage and screen, Alex Kingston, former professional footballer, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, EastEnders favourite Balvinder Sopal and British YouTuber George Clarke.

Also taking part are performer, presenter and singer La Voix, former rugby player Chris Robshaw, model, actor and influencer, Ellie Goldstein, The Apprentice star Thomas Skinner, Neighbours legend Stefan Dennis, former footballer Karen Carney, TV presenter Vicky Pattison and Good Morning Britain and Lorraine star Ross King.

The BBC has finally confirmed when we can expect to see the first Celebrity Traitors UK on our screens.

The hugely popular entertainment show, which until now has seen members of the public taking part in the series, is hosted by the wonderful Claudia Winkleman as she guides contestants through the ultimate murder-mystery game.

This time around, we will see famous faces heading to the castle in the Scottish Highlands, and until now, we have only been told the series will land on the BBC in the Autumn.

Today, Thursday, August 21, it was announced by the BBC that the series will start in October, meaning there are only a few months to wait.

While we don't have an exact date yet, we do know which celebrities will be taking part. The famous names in the first celebrity spin-off include Stephen Fry, actor Mark Bonnar, comedian Lucy Beaumont, content creator Niko Omilana, comedian Nick Mohammed, EastEnders star Tameka Empson, singer Paloma Faith, Olympian Tom Daley, and actor Ruth Codd.

Also starring are singer Cat Burns, comedian Alan Carr, singer Charlotte Church, actor Celia Imrie, broadcaster Clare Balding, historian David Olusoga, former England rugby player Joe Marler, comedian Joe Wilkinson, broadcaster Kate Garraway, and TV presenter Jonathan Ross.

Claudia will also be back in a new array of tweeds, knitted jumpers and cardigans, but who will remain a Faithful and which underhand celebs will be chosen as Traitors?

Celebrity Traitors will work in the same way as the regular show but with celebrities competing instead. As always, the contestants will arrive at the castle as Faithfuls but Claudia will choose a number of Traitors who must try to remain undetected.

Over the course of the show, the group works together to successfully complete challenges known as ‘missions’ and add cash to the prize money, which can reach £120,000. The group must hold regular banishments, where they vote out the person they think is most likely to be a Traitor, while the Traitors can murder Faithfuls for as long as they remain in the game.

If the Faithfuls successfully banish all the Traitors before the end of the game, they split the prize money between them. But if a Traitor remains at the end, the Traitor wins the lot.

We're used to seeing Faithfuls and Traitors playing to win for themselves or their loved ones, but the celebrities will play the ultimate game of detection, backstabbing and trust, in the hope of winning a cash prize up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.

The BBC has also confirmed that the main Traitors series will return with season 4 in early 2026

Eight new pairs of ordinary people are bracing themselves to be shaken and stirred as they embark on an exciting James Bond-inspired global adventure in season two of Prime Video’s 007: Road to a Million.

007: Road to a Million S2 release date

This hotly anticipated second series of 007: Road to a Million is available on Prime Video, with all eight episodes landing on Friday, August 22.

Who's fronting the series?

Succession star Brian Cox is back in the hot seat as The Controller and this time the stakes are even higher as the duos must now compete directly against each other - rather than individually - in a series of physical, psychological and strategic 007-style missions against the clock, with the poorest performing pair each episode being eliminated.

Talking about what's new for series two, Brian says: "There's more interaction between me and the contestants and the show is infinitely more Bond-related. I now have an assistant in the control room which feels very Bond. She gives me information on the contestants as I watch them on monitors - it’s more dramatic than last time."

What kinds of challenges will the contestants be up against?

From scaling towers in Bangkok to wreck diving with sharks in the Bahamas, each location is straight out of a Bond movie.

In the first episode, contestants bungee-jump off Luzzone Dam in Switzerland, re-enacting actor Pierce Brosnan's iconic leap as Bond off the Verzasca Dam in 1995 film GoldenEye…

"The contestants really get to see and do some extraordinary things - it’s a sheer spectacle, but it also confirms to me why I’m in the control room and not doing the competition!," says Brian. "I’d never bungee jump in a million years - but one person's definition of fun is quite different from another's!"

As well as having to embrace the physical side of the challenges, the change in gameplay means that the couples will now get to play mind games with each other...

"I'd be good at that," says Brian. "That's where I’d excel, because I understand how people tick, and their strengths and weaknesses. It’s quite hard to know who's actually going to win. I'm not very good at predicting that because all sorts of things can happen along the way."

And, as The Controller, Brian's job is to toy with the duos and exploit any weaknesses...

"I suppose that’s part of my character as The Controller; the cat and mouse thing," he says. "There’s a father and son who made a mistake at one point and I felt very empathetic. The Controller is not openly compassionate, but he's not without sensibility and sensitivity to who these contestants are."

Presumably, there are eliminations. How do they work?

The two slowest pairs on each mission must face off against each other in the Killer Question - an immersive, high-tension brain-teaser that will result in one pair being eliminated.

At the end of the series, having defeated all their rivals, the final surviving couple face The Controller in person in London to get their hands on the whopping £1 million prize.

"That puts people into a very pressured situation, that I personally would never want to put myself into," admits Brian. "I'm not very competitive in that way. I see why people want to do these things but I reserve judgement and get on with my job - which is to be controlling!"

007: Road to a Million S2: Is there a trailer?

Fans of one of the best Netflix shows from 2023 who want more are going to have their wishes fulfilled this week, albeit with a slightly different series.

A new series called Final Draft hit Netflix today [Tuesday, August 12], and it's a Japanese competition show. It puts together 25 former athletes whose careers ended for various reasons, and pushes them through a series of trials in hopes of winning ¥30 million (around $200,000).

Sound familiar? That's a very similar premise to Physical: 100, which released in 2023 and saw a second season in 2024. This show was a Korean one which involved 100 contestants, and not just former athletes, but the gist is the same: a series of competitive trials sit between competitors and a sum totally around $200,000).

Physical: 100 was a smash hit, becoming one of the biggest non-English shows for several weeks after its release and garnering respect for challenging stereotypes about race and gender.

A third series of Physical: 100 is on the way which is set to broaden the scope from Korean competitors to entries from across Asia, and is being called Physical - Asia as a result. A US version is in the works too, because this is Netflix and everything big in Korea needs an American version apparently (you can actually apply to it here), as is a European one.

But back to Final Draft; this will probably be a more personal show than Physical: 100 by cutting the competitor list to just a quarter. There's also a redemption element, with the athletes all trying to reclaim their past careers (though sadly not all will succeed).

Promotional images show lots of gym-based challenges but also one which seems to show two people pushing a giant ball, and long hikes in snowy conditions. So don't expect to stay in the Squid Game-looking studio of the picture at the top.

Another important distinction between Final Draft and Physical: 100 is that all episodes of the new series will land at once, not weekly, so you won't need to wait to binge them. You can see them right now!

It was announced today, Monday, August 11, that Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, aka Nitro, will be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing 2025.

Harry is the first celebrity name to be officially announced for the new series, which will arrive on our screens next month.

The BBC revealed the news on this morning's episode of CBBC show Newsround, where Harry, who took part in the Strictly Come Dancing 2024 Christmas Special, said: “After the Christmas Special, it was so nice I just had to do it twice! I’m so excited to be part of the Strictly family this series and I’m ready to give it all I’ve got. I’ll be bringing tons of energy to light up the dance floor. Let’s hope I’m as quick at picking up the routines as I am on the track!"

But, while fans are desperate to know who will be joining Harry on the Strictly dancefloor this year, we have a little wait to find out who will be announced next because it has been confirmed by the BBC that the next three celebrities will be announced on The One Show tonight at 7 pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Harry's name being announced first won't come as much of a surprise to fans after he was strongly rumoured to be taking part in the show following his huge success on the festive special.

The Gladiators star, who is an Olympian and a multi-gold medal-winning Team GB sprinter, became the first athlete to win gold medals at both 100 and 200 metres at the World Youth Championships, and won the 2005 BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award aged 17.

Harry has gone on to win gold in the 4x100m relay at the European Championships and at the Commonwealth Games. He has competed in two Olympic Games and is a three-time European Champion and two-time Commonwealth Champion.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to our screens in September 2025.

Typically we're not crazy about the end of summer arriving, but one silver lining to the change in seasons is the launch of the fall TV slate, which always brings a bevy of new shows to the networks (ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC and various cable channels) and streaming services (Apple TV Plus, Hulu, Netflix, Peacock and more).

Fall 2025 is looking to have a solid lineup for viewers, both with a range of new shows and returning favorites. To help you identify some of the biggest comedies, dramas and reality TV series that you should be keeping an eye on, my colleagues Sarabeth Pollock, Terrell Smith and I are offering our most anticipated fall TV shows and why they're must watch.

The Paper (Peacock)

The Office is, without a doubt, one of my favorite shows of all time. If you were to ask my friends, they’d probably tell you I can even quote lines from specific episodes of the series. It’s because of my love for The Office that I’m optimistic about the sequel show, The Paper.

The new mockumentary follows the employees of a dying newspaper in Toledo, Ohio, as they try to deal with job uncertainty along with the ebbs and flows of their personal lives. The concept of The Paper and The Office are similar, I just want the comedy of both shows to be similar as well. — Terrell Smith

The Paper premieres Thursday, September 4, exclusively on Peacock.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 (AMC)

After spending the first two seasons in France, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 is moving to Spain. Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) are still trying to get home and it looks like there could be a path, but it means venturing into Spain. They’ll face new challenges and new threats in addition to the hordes of undead wandering around.

Daryl Dixon will spend the next two seasons in Spain before the series bows at the end of season 4, so fans will be watching to see how Carol and Daryl’s arrival sets up the beginning of the end of their journey. — Sarabeth Pollock

Only Murders in the Building season 5 (Hulu)

It's just not fall without an Only Murders in the Building mystery to solve. Since 2021, the series has probably been my favorite show on TV thanks to their clever mysteries, fantastic writing and directing, great supporting casts, but most importantly the wonderful and hilarious chemistry between stars Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short.

The show has yet to let me down, which is why I'm stoked to watch Only Murders in the Building season 5, which will attempt to solve who killed the Arconia's doorman Lester, with a host of suspects and new guest stars to choose from.

Only Murders in the Building season 5 premieres Tuesday, September 9, exclusively on Hulu.

High Potential season 2 (ABC)

I started High Potential when it premiered on ABC last fall and loved Kaitlin Olson’s performance as a struggling single mom who has an incredibly high IQ and becomes a consultant for the LAPD, but I got behind on the show and have had to play catch up. But I’m determined to stay up to date with High Potential season 2, as it is probably my most anticipated network TV show this fall.

I'm excited to see Olson’s Morgan Gillroy back on the case, using her unorthodox investigating skills, bantering with her partner (Daniel Sunjata) and trying to unravel what happened to her husband after he mysteriously disappeared years earlier. — Michael Balderston

High Potential season 2 premieres on Tuesday, September 16, on ABC; streams on-demand the following day on Hulu.

Gen V season 2 (Prime Video)

It’s been nearly two years since Gen V premiered, and as a fan of nearly all things The Boys, you can imagine my excitement to see the spinoff series pick up where it left off with Gen V season 2.

With Marie (Jaz Sinclair), Emma (Lizze Broadway) and the other actual “heroes” now portrayed as enemies of Homelander (Antony Starr) and Vought, I’m intrigued to see how the young supes get out of their predicament. On a sadder note, based on the trailer, I get the sense that the real-life death of show star Chance Perdomo, who portrayed Andre, will be handled with care and respect in the new episodes. — Terrell Smith

Love Island Games season 2 (Peacock)

Love Island Games season 2 finally arrives this fall, nearly two years since the first season of the series premiered. Having become a major fan of Love Island USA and just wrapped Love Island USA season 7, the biggest season of the franchise to date, I’m ready to see which past islanders will be competing in the next round of Love Island Games and what romantic connections will be formed.

Reasonable Doubt season 3 (Hulu)

During its tenure on air, Reasonable Doubt has provided a nice fix for my craving for high-octane legal dramas. With Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder and Your Honor, all resting in the annals of TV history, Reasonable Doubt has stepped into the void and is doing an exceptional job showcasing the journey of high-profile attorney Jax Stewart (Emayatzy Corinealdi).

Since Reasonable Doubt season 2 ended on a cliffhanger in regards to Jax and Lewis (McKinley Freeman) being sued over the death of Lewis’ baby with Toni (Tristan Cunningham), I can't wait to see if this becomes the case Jax is dealt a loss. — Terrell Smith

Chad Powers (Hulu)

Ted Lasso was born from a NBC Sports commercial for the Premier League; is our next great sports comedy going to have similar origins?

Chad Powers stars Glen Powell as a disgraced college quarterback who attempts to get a second chance at glory by donning some makeup and a wig and going by the alias Chad Powers to be a walk-on at a struggling program. The series was inspired by a prank video that featured two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Eli Manning attend tryouts at Penn State.

Ted Lasso may be lofty expectations, but I’ve been a big fan of just about everything Powell has done in recent years, so count me in on this one. — Michael Balderston

Chad Powers premieres Tuesday, September 30, exclusively on Hulu.

Task (HBO)

Remember how Mare of Easttown, the Kate Winslet-led crime drama, had us all hooked back in 2021? Well, Brad Ingelsby, the creator of Mare of Easttown, is back with another series set in the Philadelphia suburbs.

In Task, Mark Ruffalo stars as an FBI agent who leads a task force created to put an end to a violent string of robberies in the area. There won’t be any mystery for audiences as to who is doing the crimes, as Tom Pelphrey (Outer Range) has been tapped for that role, but the hunt by Ruffalo and his team to take him down has the potential to be pretty compelling TV. And the pedigree of HBO and Ingelsby's last series bodes well. — Michael Balderston

There is no confirmed premiere date for Task at this time, though HBO has confirmed that the series will premiere in September, streaming simultaneously on HBO Max.

Abbott Elementary season 5 (ABC)

Over the past four seasons, Abbott Elementary has absolutely been the best comedy series in my opinion, so, of course, I’m excited for Abbott Elementary season 5. I can’t wait to see Janine (Quinta Brunson) and Gregory (Tyler James Williams) take their relationship to the next level, Ava (Janelle James) get reacquainted with her job as principal and what other obstacles the Abbott crew faces as they just try to teach in this modern age. Also, who doesn’t want to see more quirky moments from Mr. Johnson (William Stanford Davis)? — Terrell Smith

Nobody Wants This season 2 (Netflix)

If Kristen Bell is in it, I’m usually invested in the project (sans Frozen, which I’ve embarrassingly enough haven’t seen). So when Nobody Wants This debuted last year on Netflix, I quickly powered through the episodes and loved the funny take on opposites attracting and falling in love. She was brilliant as Joanne, an agnostic dating podcaster, falling for Adam Brody’s Noah, a modern rabbi.

In season one, the duo faced a few obstacles as a couple, so I’m left wondering what additional obstacles they may face in season 2, especially given Noah’s promotion in the temple. — Terrell Smith

Talamasca: The Secret Order (AMC)

The Anne Rice Immortal Universe is expanding with a brand new spinoff, Talamasca: The Secret Order. Based on the secretive society of observers who keep watch over the world’s supernatural residents, the series will be a spy thriller that sees the agents furtively keeping tabs on witches, vampires and other supernatural beings all over the world.

What we love about this series is that it has the potential for lots of crossovers between Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches, so that means we get to see more from our favorite immortals. — Sarabeth Pollock

Talamasca: The Secret Order premieres Sunday, October 26, on AMC and AMC Plus.

Down Cemetery Road (Apple TV Plus)

Slow Horses remains one of my favorite shows on TV, and I’m excited about Slow Horses season 5. However, I’m just a bit more intrigued by the potential of Down Cemetery Road, a new Apple TV Plus series that is based on a book series by Slow Horses author Mick Herron.

Emma Thompson stars as a private investigator who helps Ruth Wilson in the search for a missing young girl, which quickly spirals into a wide-ranging conspiracy.

Premiering right after Slow Horses ends, it could be the perfect complimentary series and another exciting thriller to stream on Apple TV Plus. — Michael Balderston

Down Cemetery Road premieres Wednesday, October 29, exclusively on Apple TV Plus.

The American Revolution (PBS)

2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, so there are going to be plenty of celebrations revolved around that, including probably more than a few TV specials. It’s a little early, but one of those is a PBS documentary series from Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein and David P. Schmidt, The American Revolution.

Burns has made a name for himself with his in-depth documentaries, including previous ones about the Civil and Vietnam wars. We all know the basics about the American Revolution, but expect for Burns and his co-creators to dive into things that we may never have known about but should not be forgotten. — Michael Balderston

The American Revolution premieres Sunday, November 16, on PBS.

Stranger Things season 5 (Netflix)

At long last, the final season of Stranger Things is here. It’s been more than three years since Stranger Things season 4 set up the end game in the battle between our Hawkins heroes and the Upside Down, so expectations are high for the Duffer Brothers and company to close out the series.

Netflix is making sure that the series is at least getting an epic rollout, with Stranger Things season 5’s eight episodes broken into three parts. The first four premiere in time for Thanksgiving, the next three as a Christmas Day treat, and the Stranger Things finale dropping on New Year’s Eve.

I honestly am having a hard time remembering a series that has had this much anticipation around its finale since Game of Thrones. Here’s hoping they stick the landing better. — Michael Balderston

When Kim Kardashian dazzled critics with her turn as a devious attorney in American Horror Story: Delicate, Ryan Murphy quickly recruited her for another series he was dreaming up. All’s Fair is the story of a powerful Los Angeles law firm run by women. Kardashian plays the firm’s divorce lawyer who works with her team to get the best deal for her clients.

Hallmark Channel partnered with the NFL in 2024, leading to their crossover film, Holiday Touchdown: A Chief’s Love Story, which premiered during Countdown to Christmas 2024. This season, Hallmark is heading to Buffalo to bring their brand of holiday magic to the Bills Mafia. Holland Roden, Matthew Daddario and Tony Danza star in what’s sure to be a holiday classic for years to come, especially if you’re a Bills fan. The movie will arrive during the 2025 Countdown to Christmas celebration. — Sarabeth Pollock

Next Level Baker (Fox)

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is taking baking to new heights with Next Level Baker. After the success of Next Level Chef, a cooking competition that features three teams competing on three different levels of a moving set, it makes sense that Ramsay would expand the franchise and add baking.

With cold weather right around the corner, nothing beats a good baking show to help us prepare for the holidays and we’re excited to see how Ramsay puts his unique stamp on the genre. — Sarabeth Pollock

Next Level Baker premieres this fall on Fox.

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and his famed no-holds-barred, tough-love approach were on the case in Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service episode "Bruno's," which aired on August 6.

Bruno's Restaurant is located in Lafayette Hill near Philadelphia. It's known as a traditional diner with all of the diner favorites like burgers, fries and milkshakes, plus Philly cheesesteaks and hoagies, of course. So was Ramsay able to help Bruno's Restaurant? Is Bruno's Restaurant still open?

Here's the description of the episode: "Established 36 years ago, Bruno’s remains a beacon of familiarity and joy for loyal customers in Philadelphia’s community. However, Gordon’s sleuthing reveals the restaurant’s failure to meet updated kitchen practices, therefore subject to unhygienic health concerns. With a stubborn owner and frustrated son, Gordon’s assignment proves to be challenging as he urges a natural transition for the future of the restaurant and father-son duo."

We're happy to report that Bruno's Restaurant is still open for business.

The Bruno's Restaurant Instagram page hasn't been updated in a while, but there are a few looks at the updated interior of the restaurant since Gordon Ramsay's visit.

As of publication, the restaurant has a 4.2 rating on Google Reviews (with 629 reviews as of August 6).

"I've been coming here since I was a kid and while it's had its ups and downs it never fails to bring me joy," one commenter wrote, adding "they're currently on an upswing."

"I go to Bruno's several times a year. It's a friendly neighborhood greasy spoon. The food is what you would expect: not bad. The coffee is good. The waitresses hardworking, friendly, salt of the earth people," another reviewer said.

"Rarely do I write reviews while I'm still eating," noted a reviewer, "but this place impressed me so much... I wish I lived closer so I could come back."

Indeed, the most recent reviews indicate that whatever happened after Bruno's reopened, it seems to be working and visitors are very happy with the updates.

We're happy to see that things seem to be moving in a positive direction for Bruno's Restaurant after Gordon Ramsay's intervention.

As the dating pods reopen, 30 singles mingle — well, date with a wall dividing them - relying on conversation alone to get to know each other.

Not all of our flirty 30 will form connections — but there will be some who meet their match, fall in love and get engaged: and it's only then that they finally meet!

Is Love is Blind UK S2 as good as S1?

Matt certainly thinks so.

"We loved season one so much; you fall in love with these people and invest your time in them," he explains. "So when you're starting over again, you think: 'Are we going to feel the same about this new bunch and is the show gonna hit the same?' But it does. It really delivers."

Love is Blind UK S2: Are the contestants really in it for love? Or fame and fortune?

"Yeah, because it's a legally binding wedding at the end of it," says Emma, who was the host of Big Brother between 2013 and 2018.

"Maybe I've been around reality TV for too long, but I feel like gone are the days where you have major fame from a reality show - like in the early days of Big Brother where Nasty Nick was on the front page of The Sun newspaper for writing a note!

"If you do go on to it because you want a little bit of publicity, you might have your moment, but what's going to overshadow it are the people that are here for the real reasons, like Bobby and Jasmine from season one, who are now having a baby. Like, how amazing is that!?"

Do Emma and Matt give the couples any advice?

"No, we don't get involved," admits Emma. "What we get from hosting this show is a couple of little holidays on our own without the kids. It gives us time together."

"I'd love to say this is hard work," adds Matt, "but it's the best gig in the world. Working with my wife is awesome! Do I think we could've fallen in love through a wall? Yeah, I think so. I've been with her since I was 21. She's my type - I don't have any other type!"

Rebecca Loos adds: “I honestly don't know whether I am mentally strong enough but one of the reasons I want to do this course is because I want to find out whether I'm able to stick it through mentally. I think it's going to be really, really tough. This is by far the toughest thing I've ever done. But I want to do this course because it's a once in a lifetime opportunity to do an SAS training course. It's going to be really interesting to see how far I can go and how strong I'm able to keep myself.”

The first task of season 7 sees the recruits plunge 26ft into the North Sea where they must swim to a rendezvous point within a minute and jump onto a moving speedboat. The latest game show format to become a worldwide hit gets a British spin in Destination X UK, which premieres on Wednesday, July 30.

Originally based on a Belgian format, Destination X became big when NBC made a US version earlier in 2025, and now Rob Brydon helms the British iteration as its new host.

In Destination X, contestants are taken on a road trip in a bus, and deposited at a random location. They'll be given clues as to where they are and quizzed with working out their exact location... but the worst answer sees a contestant disqualified.

At the time of its release, Destination X is only releasing in the UK, and so most of the information in this guide pertains to the country. But if you're abroad, there's an option for you later down.

Ride with Norman Reedus isn't just a travel show. Reedus, an OG member of The Walking Dead, brings his famous friends along for bike rides in some of the most scenic places in the world in Ride with Norman Reedus season 7, which will air in tandem with The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3.

After the BBC officially confirmed it will be airing the new series of MasterChef, it has now been revealed that the first three episodes will drop on BBC iPlayer on August 6.

The BBC is stripping episodes across the week, with the first episode of the amateur series airing on Wednesday, August 6 at 8 pm, with episode two on Thursday, August 7 at the same time, and then a third on Friday, August 8 at 8.30 pm. It seems likely it will follow the same pattern the following week. All three of those episodes will be made immediately available on iPlayer on August 6.

There had been plenty of speculation that the BBC wouldn't screen MasterChef 2025 at all, with both presenters, Gregg Wallace and John Torode, being sacked.

The BBC is yet to decide whether to broadcast a Christmas special and a celebrity series. Explaining why it had decided to show the new series, the BBC said: "After careful consideration and consultation with the contestants, we have decided to broadcast the amateur series of MasterChef on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 6 August. MasterChef is an amazing competition which is life-changing for the amateur chefs taking part. The focus of it has always been their skill and their journey.

“This has not been an easy decision in the circumstances and we appreciate not everyone will agree with it. In showing the series, which was filmed last year, it in no way diminishes our view of the seriousness of the upheld findings against both presenters. We have been very clear on the standards of behaviour that we expect of those who work at the BBC or on shows made for the BBC.

“However, we believe that broadcasting this series is the right thing to do for these cooks who have given so much to the process. We want them to be properly recognised and give the audience the choice to watch the series.

“At this stage we have not taken a decision on the celebrity series and Christmas special, which was filmed earlier this year, and we will confirm our plans later in the year.

“Most importantly MasterChef is a brilliant, much-loved programme which is bigger than any one individual. There are many talented, dedicated and hard-working people who make the show what it is. It will continue to flourish on the BBC and we look forward to it returning stronger than ever in the future."

Headlines about Wallace’s alleged misconduct emerged during the production of series 21.

According to BBC News, Wallace told PA News Agency that he is "deeply sorry for any distress" he caused, after 45 of the 83 allegations about his behaviour on MasterChef were upheld in a report by an independent law firm.

Gregg said in his statement that "none of the serious allegations against me were upheld. I challenged the remaining issue of unwanted touching but have had to accept a difference in perception, and I am deeply sorry for any distress caused. It was never intended."

BBC News reported that John Torode was also sacked as MasterChef presenter after an allegation against him using "an extremely offensive racist term" was upheld as part of the same inquiry.

John took to social media to explain that the remarks were allegedly made in 2018 or 2019 and that he had "absolutely no recollection of any of this and I do not believe that it happened".

After it was announced he had been sacked from the series, he added: "I have no recollection of what I am accused of. The inquiry could not even state the date or year when I am meant to have said something wrong. Celebrity MasterChef, which I recently filmed with Grace Dent, along with two fantastic Christmas specials, will be my last. Personally, I have loved every minute of working on MasterChef, but it is time to pass the cutlery on to someone else."

MasterChef 2025 starts on Wednesday, August 6, at 8 pm.

And now he's back on television with his newest business reality series The Fixer—not to be confused with the British drama series of the same name—which premieres tonight, July 18 at 8pm Eastern Time on FOX.

Across four two-hour episodes, Lemonis meets with business owners from across the country "whose companies are at a crossroads and need to make impactful changes,” a logline for The Fixer reveals. “Struggling with tough decisions and looking for direction, he’ll assess their prospects and pick one business in the hope that they will all make a profit. As they address extraordinary challenges together in a revealing behind-the-scenes journey to success, they will benefit from Marcus’s candid instruction and business know-how in an effort to seek an investment.”

The Great British Sewing Bee 2025 is finally here, and I couldn't be happier to have the show back on our screens.

Once again, we have been reunited with judges Esme Young and Patrick Grant as they cast their expert eyes over what the new batch of contestants were creating. We also have the lovely Sara Pascoe back on the show after Kiell Smith-Bynoe filled in last year while she was on maternity leave.

As always, the show got off with a bang, throwing the contestants in at the deep end with some tricky new challenges. First, they were faced with a Pattern Challenge, which saw them confronted with creating a tie-front blouse, while the Transformation Challenge saw the team having to make something new and wearable out of an old skirt.

The final challenge - the Made-to-Measure Task - saw the stitchers making pleated dresses and receiving the brilliant news that no one would be going home that week, but instead, two people would be going home the following week.

However, despite all this wholesome, stitching joy, there is one thing that gets to me every time I watch The Great British Sewing Bee, and that is the fact that at the start of every episode, they seem to give away the entire series in about 30 seconds.

The opening scene always sees Sara and the judges doing some sort of amusing introduction to the episode, but then as get flash forwards of future weeks, including contestants sewing and outfits being shown on the catwalk.

But these aren't clips from the coming episode we are about to enjoy - they are from future episodes further down the line, meaning without even watching that closely, we can tell who is creating what, and the pickles they get themselves into.

That being said, the show is a joy, and I, for one, can't wait to see how the rest of the series unfolds.

MasterChef 2024 aired last spring, bringing us a bumper season celebrating 20 years of the much-loved series. A BBC spokesperson said: "After careful consideration and consultation with the contestants, we have decided to broadcast the amateur series of MasterChef on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from August 6. MasterChef is an amazing competition which is life-changing for the amateur chefs taking part. The focus of it has always been their skill and their journey.

“This has not been an easy decision in the circumstances and we appreciate not everyone will agree with it. In showing the series, which was filmed last year, it in no way diminishes our view of the seriousness of the upheld findings against both presenters. We have been very clear on the standards of behaviour that we expect of those who work at the BBC or on shows made for the BBC.

“However, we believe that broadcasting this series is the right thing to do for these cooks who have given so much to the process. We want them to be properly recognised and give the audience the choice to watch the series.

“At this stage we have not taken a decision on the celebrity series and Christmas special, which was filmed earlier this year, and we will confirm our plans later in the year.

“Most importantly, MasterChef is a brilliant, much-loved programme which is bigger than any one individual. There are many talented, dedicated and hard-working people who make the show what it is. It will continue to flourish on the BBC and we look forward to it returning stronger than ever in the future."

As the series was filmed in early 2024, both John Torode and Gregg Wallace will appear in the new series. However, it is unclear how much of either presenter we will see on screen.

.One name that has been linked to the show is Grace Dent, after she presented Celebrity MasterChef alongside John in 2024 and 2025.

How will MasterChef 2025 work?

Each series, we see more than fifty hopefuls from across the UK joining the programme to show off their culinary skills before being whittled down over the next eight weeks, with the winner crowned in a tense finale.

Last year saw two new challenges added to the knock-out rounds over the course of the initial heats. To 'earn' a MasterChef apron and stay in the competition, the first challenge facing the contestants is called 'Basic To Brilliant'.

John Torode told us, "Basic To Brilliant is all about taking an everyday item such as a potato or an onion and turning it into something truly special. As you’ll see, you can do amazing things with an onion!"

The second new challenge was part of the Invention Test and required the cooks to think on their feet. John said, "The contestants are all given the same basic recipe, for example, it’s gnocchi in episode one, and we see how they each create different dishes from that. I love that round because you really see their personalities start to come out."

Who won MasterChef 2024?

Brin Pirathapan, a veterinary surgeon whose love of cooking is inspired by his Sri Lankan heritage, was crowned the 20th winner of MasterChef.

At the time of winning, he said: "The food I grew up with was never boring. Coming from a Tamil, Sri Lankan background, we had nice food on the table and it's never bland.

"There was just something about this year where I thought if I didn't apply I would probably just sit and watch it and regret that I didn't."

Throughout their adrenaline-fueled, challenge-heavy journey in the Bahamas — the shark capital of the world — these A-listers will push past their limits to come nose to nose with nature's 'villains'. Helen George

Helen George is best known for playing Trixie in Call the Midwife.

She says: "I am quite scared of swimming I've got a real deep-rooted fear of putting my head under water, and I didn't realise quite how bad it was until the first day we were doing scuba-diving training in a swimming pool.

"Just getting my face in the water was going to be my biggest challenge to begin with. I managed to overcome that, and then I found out our first challenge was a cage dive with bull sharks. I cried… but I did it!

"There were so many funny moments. For one challenge, we were out at sea and we had to hold on to this raft. The weather was really stormy and the water was choppy, but Ross managed to sneak out a bag of snacks strapped to his leg with gaffer tape!"

Ade Adepitan

Ade is best known as a TV presenter and for representing Great Britain at wheelchair basketball.

He says: "This is the opportunity of a lifetime — when do you ever get asked to go and dive with sharks in the Bahamas? I'm a big environmentalist, too, and there's also an important message at the heart of the programme.

"I've scuba-dived before, but I'm not an expert. I'd only really done it for TV, so my experiences were few and far between, and it was still something where I had to hone my skills."

Ross Noble

Ross is a comedian. He says: "I can't speak for the others, but I've got a feeling most of us looked at [the pitch for] this show and went, 'It's three weeks in the Bahamas, yes!' and then read the rest!

"Sharks are so prehistoric, it's like seeing a dinosaur right in front of you. When they swim towards you, you can look into their mouths and see right down inside them. Being scared was the last emotion I was feeling, because I was so taken with how incredible it all was.

"If you love a beautiful nature documentary but you also like seeing how big animals are when measured against Dougie from McFly, you’ll love this show. Plus, you could see me get nibbled by a shark!"

Sir Lenny Henry

Lenny is well-known as a comedian and actor. He says: "I had a dodgy knee when I arrived, and my experience in the water with the exercise made it go away! I’m not the best of swimmers, but I worked hard and it paid off. I think it means it doesn’t matter how old you are; just have a go!"

Lucy Punch

Lucy is best known for starring in Amandaland. She says: "I panicked before the first proper dive, but Rachel reassured me that fear and excitement share the same physiological reaction. I reminded myself of that regularly for the rest of the trip: 'I'm not terrified, I'm thrilled!'

"There were times when it was very scary; it feels dangerous, and sharks are intimidating. But I was surprised at how exhilarating, and sometimes even peaceful, the shark encounters were. I was in awe of these magnificent fish."

Dougie Poynter

Dougie achieved fames as the McFly bassist. He says: "One of the amazing things about this is that I learnt how to scuba dive, which I'm now totally obsessed with. I've bought loads of my own professional gear, and I'm only looking at holiday destinations that have great scuba diving now!

"The conservation message is so necessary. I would like people who aren’t hugely interested in the sea or nature to realise that the things they’re doing at home have a huge impact on the planet. You don’t have to think that sharks are cute, but they are important."

Rachel Riley

Rachel is well known for Countdown and appearing on Strictly Come Dancing. She says: "The whole of the Bahamas is a designated conservation area where it's illegal to kill sharks. They've been trying to show that sharks are worth more to people alive than dead.

"We had the best safety precautions and an amazing team, but when you’re in the water you don’t know what’s going to happen. On one dive, I did think, 'My God, what am I doing?' but it was the chance of a lifetime, so I made the most of it!"

As much as I love amazing dialogue, great character development and thought-provoking storylines, I have to admit, I’m a sucker for reality TV. And in an exciting feat, NBCUniversal is about to roll out arguably the biggest night in reality TV this year, today, July 13.

What’s today, you ask? Well, today wraps the hottest show of the summer, while debuting two of the most anticipated series of 2025. Let’s talk about the obvious.

After a roller coaster ride of 30-plus episodes, Love Island USA season 7 finally comes to an end today on Peacock as the finalists and fans learn who has won the season. Admittedly, this hasn’t been my favorite season for a myriad of reasons, including the lack of a Movie Night, the changes in Casa Amor and the increase in mean-spirited comments made by viewers about the cast. However, I’m wholeheartedly rooting for Ace and Chelley to win the season, so I’ll be tuning into the season finale to see what happens.

Staying on the Love Island train, how could I not be thrilled for the premiere of Love Island: Beyond the Villa, which also releases its first episode today on Peacock?

Love Island USA season 6 is without a doubt the best season of the franchise. Key to that is my opinion that the season 6 cast was superb. Obviously, fans and the powers that be at NBCUniversal agree, as Love Island: Beyond the Villa follows many members of the cast as they showcase how their lives have progressed outside the villa. I’m more than ready to see PPG back in action, Aaron come face to face with Kaylor and Kendall rehash the demise of his romance with Nicole.

Bringing up the caboose in my excitement train for July 13 is the debut of the brand-new series Kings Court, the spinoff of the popular Peacock original Queens Court. Now, there are a few differences between the spinoff and its predecessor worth pointing out.

Most noticeably, Kings Court sees three male celebrities comb through woman suitors in hopes of finding “the one.” The kings featured in the show’s inaugural season are Tyson Beckford, Carlos Boozer and Thaddeus \"Titus O'Neil\" Bullard.

Another big difference with Kings Court is all the episodes of the season won’t be available to stream at once on Peacock. In fact, the series is rolling out episodes weekly on Bravo starting July 13 at 9 pm ET/PT. But a Peacock subscription can still be quite helpful in watching the series, as episodes can be watched the day after they air live on the streamer.

Oh, and for those interested, before Kings Court airs its first episode on Bravo, part one of The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 16 reunion premieres. I have to wonder which of the ladies has the most to answer for because of their antics.

Again, July 13 is a big night for reality TV, and a Peacock subscription allows you to watch it all. Peacock has several options for would-be subscribers.

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and his no-holds-barred approach were on the case in Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service episode "Callahan's Part 1," which aired on July 9. We're curious to see what's going on at Callahan's Seafood Bar & Grill given that this is a special two-part episode, with the second installment set to air on July 16.

Callahan's Seafood Bar & Grill is a family owned restaurant that started to experience some trouble when the owner and family patriarch passed away, leaving his three daughters in charge. An insider called for help to keep the struggling restaurant afloat. So was Ramsay able to help Callahan's Seafood Bar & Grill? Is Callahan's Seafood Bar & Grill still open?

Callahan's Seafood Bar & Grill is a family owned seafood restaurant in Frederick, Md. Their story is featured on their website: "At Callahan's Restaurant, we take pride in our rich history and commitment to providing exceptional dining experiences. Founded in the heart of Frederick, our restaurant was built on the principles of quality, freshness and hospitality that keep our guests coming back for more. We are farm & sea to table."

Here's the description of the episode: "Using his covert alias and high-tech surveillance equipment, Gordon gains intel on the community staple, Callahan’s Seafood Bar and Grill, which has rapidly declined since the owner died and left the restaurant to his three daughters. Callahan’s used to be the center of their familial bond, but the eldest daughter’s substandard leadership skills and the kitchen staff’s lack of respect for management and overall indifference has left the restaurant and the sister’s relationship in turmoil. Phase one of Gordon’s assignment: compel the sister co-owners and staff to take accountability."

We're happy to report that Callahan's Seafood Bar & Grill is still open for business.

According to the Callahan's Seafood Bar & Grill website, the restaurant opens at 11 am Tuesday to Sunday and is open late on the weekends. It is closed Mondays. There are weekly food and drink specials, and guests can enjoy karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays.

The menu features an assortment of traditional seafood fare like Maryland crab cakes, bang bang shrimp and beer battered fish & chips along with handheld options like the "local smash" burger and a veggie flatbread.

As of publication, the restaurant has a 4.3 rating on Google Reviews (with 764 reviews as of July 9).

There are lots of recent reviews, particularly from around Mother's Day, praising the restaurant. One happy diner noted the scallops and fingerling potatoes dish and the filet and crab. "Best dining experience any of us have had for a while. We'll definitely go back!" that reviewer wrote. Another Mother's Day diner added, "The food was nothing short of amazing."

Notably, however, there are quite a few reviews dating back two to three months, which was after Ramsay's "refresh," lamenting changes to a very popular menu item: the cream of crab soup. These reviewers, who point out that they frequented the restaurant in the past, have lots of issues with the new soup recipe, and its temperature.

One reviewer noted that the soup was served "lukewarm at best" and it made them "queasy" after eating it. Another Callahan's regular was very upset: "not only was the new cream of crab soup recipe boring, but it was short on crab meat (and came out cold)." Cold soup seems to be a theme, as another reviewer came back for the soup and left coldhearted: "I wanted to come since they brought back the cream of crab soup. Sadly, when I was served the soup, it came out cold."

It's worth noting that there aren't any recent soup complaints, suggesting that the soup issue could be fixed at this point.

Based on the show, things seem to be moving in a positive direction for Callahan's Seafood Bar & Grill after Gordon Ramsay's intervention, and we're eager to see how the two-part episode wraps up next week.

The Great British Sewing Bee 2025 is here and now it has finally been announced who will be taking part in this year's competition.

Once again, a new gang of amateur sewers will compete against one another in a series of tough challenges - all with the aim to impress judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young.

But there is a twist for this year, because comedian Sara Pascoe is back in her presenting role after Kiell Smith-Bynoe, who took part in the celebrity festive edition of the sewing contest in 2021, covered her maternity leave last series.

This year we will see 12 new faces heading for the sewing room, including a bus driver, a lecturer and a magistrate.

Taking part in the 2025 series are Caz, 59, who is retired and from Staffordshire, Kit, 24 a Digital Marketer from Manchester, Gaynor, 72, a Retired Office Manager from Port Talbot, Wales, Jess, 33, who is Head of Communications in London, Órla, 19, a Café Worker/Student from Inverness and Peter, 45, a Senior Pre-Construction Manager from Devon.

Joining them are Glendora, 59, a Bus Driver from Luton, Yasmin, 30, a Research and Development Scientist from Gateshead, Novello, 66, a Family Business Owner and Magistrate from London, Dan, 37, a Performer from Durham, Saffie, 32, a Lecturer in Product & Industrial Design from London and Stuart, 53, a Premises Manager from Herefordshire.

Patrick Grant and Esme Young will be returning to the judging duties on the show once again, keeping a watchful eye over the sewers as they create their masterpieces.

Celebrity Family Feud season 11 gameplay

In case you need a reminder of how the Family Feud game works, here’s a breakdown of the gameplay:

• Each game sees two teams of five compete to see who can get the most points based on the popularity of answers to a given question, as responded to by a 100-person survey panel.
• There are three rounds of team-vs-team gameplay. The second round sees points double and the third round sees points triple.
• Each round starts with one family member from each team attempting to buzz in first with their best answer. If the team that buzzes first gives the top answer, they have the option to play the round or pass it to the other team. If the first answer given is not the top answer, the other team has the opportunity to guess the top answer.
• After a team decides to play the round, each subsequent team member makes guesses at the remaining responses. If they give a correct response, the answer is revealed. If they guess incorrectly, they get a strike.
• If a team gets three strikes before naming all responses, the opposing team has the opportunity to steal, needing to only give one correct answer to take the points.
• The team with the highest point total after the three rounds moves onto Fast Money, where two players try to amass 200 points by providing answers to the same five questions (the second player does not know the first player's answers). The first player is given 20 seconds to answer all five questions, with the ability to pass and move on to the next question if they want, which they can come back to if time remains. The second player gets 25 seconds, the extra time in the event they give an answer their teammate already provided.

It's the 50th anniversary of Jaws this summer, so this has meant we're getting a crazy amount of shark shows; the latest, All the Sharks, has just been added to Netflix.

Yep, closely following on from the Netflix documentary Shark Whisperer released earlier this week, All the Sharks has now arrived, seeing four teams of shark experts competing to, erm, photograph the most sharks!

They’re battling it out for a $50,000 prize for their chosen marine charity as they travel from the crystal-clear Caribbean waters to the mysterious depths of the Pacific over six episodes.

The trailer (below) reveals that not all the sharks are worth the same amount of points. If you manage to photograph a rarer shark, you get more points!

We then see one of the teams spot an epaulette shark, which, according to them, looks like a snake and walks! While another team spots a tiger shark. As the host, Tom "The Blowfish" Hird, puts it, "To win this competition, you can't just find some sharks, you have to find all the sharks."

One of the competitors, Brendan Talwar, a marine fisheries ecologist and postdoctoral scholar at UC San Diego's Scripps Institution of Oceanography, spoke to the University of California San Diego about taking part.

Brendan said: "In joining the production, I hoped to be part of a team that reinvents 'shark-TV' by dropping the manufactured drama typical of most sharky programs. All the Sharks makes the case for our oceans being the greatest playgrounds on Earth — places where the most fantastic encounters are just around the corner and where sharks and rays are abundant, valuable parts of healthy and diverse marine ecosystems.

"The most memorable moments of my life have been underwater, shared with friends and students, and All the Sharks will allow us to share some of the most fantastic moments I’ve ever had with viewers across the globe."

We should say it’s not just Netflix making shark shows as Jaws turns 50. We have Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story, a 90-minute documentary that will be shown in the US on National Geographic and Hulu on Thursday, July 10. A day later, it airs in the UK on National Geographic as part of its annual Shark Week and will also be available on Disney Plus.

Also in the UK, there's a new show coming up on ITV called SHARK! Celebrity Infested Waters, which will see ocean-fearing celebs coming face to face with sharks!

It's not the summer without 24/7 live feeds and HOH competitions. That's right, it's time for Big Brother 27, and after AI took over the house in Big Brother 26, it's time for a whole new theme, house and Houseguests.

This time around, the theme is "Summer of Mystery" as the Houseguests enter the "Hotel Mystère." As they unlock the house's secrets, they will move closer to the grand prize at the end of the season.

Season 27 also promises the most programming in Big Brother history with supersized 90-minute episodes on Wednesdays and the all-new Big Brother Unlocked behind the scenes series on Friday nights.

Big Brother season 27 release date

Big Brother season 27 premieres July 10. The show will air Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 9 pm ET/PT. The Thursday eviction show will be live for East Coast viewers and delayed for the West Coast. This year will feature the premiere of the behind the scenes special, Big Brother Unlocked, airing every other Friday (time TBA) beginning July 25. The BB Live Feeds will once again be available for Paramount Plus subscribers, and you can tune in to the live feeds for free on Pluto TV.

Big Brother season 27 will air live on CBS. Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers will be able to live stream the show via the live feed of their local CBS affiliate on the service, as well as on-demand. Paramount+ Essential subscribers will not have the option to stream live, but will have access to on-demand the day after the episode airs.

If you’ve cut the cord, you can also watch CBS shows live via streaming platforms like FuboTV, Hulu with Live TV, YouTube TV and DirecTV Stream.

Previous seasons of Big Brother are available to stream on Paramount Plus, and Paramount Plus subscribers will also have access to the 24/7 Live Feeds once the season begins.

Get ready for Big Brother season 27 with a tour of the new house below.

ITV has finally revealed the release date for its huge new reality show, SHARK! Celebrity Infested Waters, which will see ocean-fearing famous faces head to the Bahamas to come face to face with sharks!

It was revealed today, Wednesday, July 2, that the show will start on ITV1 and ITVX on Monday, July 14 at 9 pm.

The new series, which was announced earlier this year by ITV, has an impressive lineup, with Ade Adepitan, Call the Midwife star Helen George, Sir Lenny Henry, Ross Noble, Dougie Poynter, Amandaland star Lucy Punch and Rachel Riley all taking the plunge.

ITV says: "The show will dare a group of ocean-phobic celebrities to confront their greatest fear — sharks. Throughout their adrenaline-fueled, challenge-heavy journey in the Bahamas — the shark capital of the world — these A-listers will push past their limits to come nose to nose with nature’s 'villains'.

"Their firsthand experiences will provide immeasurable excitement and new perspective; they’ll come to appreciate sharks’ valuable place on the food chain and in our ecosystem, recognizing that a world devoid of these notoriously terrifying creatures is downright frightening.

"The celebrities will be tasked with diving with a different species of shark, with the breeds getting bigger and more dangerous each time. Bimini, the Bahamas island where the show will be filmed, is home to around 7-10 different shark types, including Hammerheads, Bull sharks and Tiger sharks.

"And if that isn't enough, the celebrities will also face fear-inducing challenges whilst learning firsthand the important role sharks play in our oceans."

The new series, being filmed in the Bahamas, will also air to tie in with the 50th anniversary of the classic movie Jaws.

The series that started it all in the Housewives world is back as The Real Housewives of Orange County season 19 provides the drama and fireworks for the summer.

With many cast members from The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18 returning, fans get to see how the group is able to move forward after an explosive season capped off by a dramatic reunion. Additionally, season 19 sees the exciting return of show vet, Gretchen Rossi. Given that Gretchen and Tamara are arguably each other's biggest rivals, we don't think it will be smooth sailing for Tamara in the new episodes.

Blind Date, the legendary dating show famously presented by Cilla Black, is being revived by Disney Plus.

The classic series was fronted on ITV by Cilla from 1985 to 2003, becoming a ratings smash, with Paul O’Grady presenting the brief reboot between 2017 and 2019.

Now the streaming service has officially confirmed rumors that it's bringing the show back to our screens with some twists, although keeping to the spirit of the original.

Disney Plus announced: "The ultimate dating series Blind Date is back — bigger, better, and bolder than ever. The new series will begin in a secret 'Blind Date' location, where contestants must choose between three potential suitors, hidden from view behind the legendary 'Blind Date' wall, the only thing standing between them and their potential true love just metres away.

"With a host of unique, innovative and head-turning format twists, our daters will see if forever love can truly grow as they spend the summer living together but potential new partners are always lurking behind the wall…”.

Disney Plus hopes that it can capture some of the magic that saw the original series attract 18 million viewers in its heyday.

No host has been announced yet, and it's not clear if there will be someone giving witty little summaries of each potential date like "Our Graham" did in the original.

The new series of Blind Date will consist of 10 parts, with each one 45 minutes long. Production will start later this year. Original presenter Cilla Black died aged 72 in 2015.

Disney Plus also announced two further new series. The Rooneys, an observational doc-series about Coleen and Wayne Rooney as they "step into a new chapter of their lives".

And Jamie and Sophie: Raising Chelsea about Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo, as they "embrace their latest challenge and greatest joy to date… parenthood".

Disney Plus has not revealed yet when the three shows will land.

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay an his no-holds-barred approach were on the case in Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service episode "Wilson's Secret Sauce," which aired on June 25, where Ramsay was called in to help the struggling owner tame the overflowing menu and convert the catering business into a proper restaurant.

Wilson's Secret Sauce started out as a catering company that opted to become a restaurant, but the business didn't grow with this change. That's why an insider called Gordon Ramsay for help. So was Ramsay able to help Wilson's Secret Sauce? Is Wilson's Secret Sauce still open?

Wilson's Secret Sauce has a celebrated history in Upper Darby Township, Pa., Owner Steve Wilson's love for backyard barbecuing led him to enter (and win) several BBQ competitions, and that's where Wilson's Secret Sauce was born.

The story is featured on the website: "Those awards brought him a new moniker, that as a grilling expert. That is how Wilson’s Secret Sauce BBQ was born as a catering company in 2010. With the demand for his award winning dishes piling high, it wasn't long until Wilson opened the restaurant in 2018 with his wife Kelly. There they work with the rest of their team to create great custom barbecue that customers will love."

Here's the description of the episode: "Gordon’s unexpected inspection of Wilson’s Secret Sauce unveils a jumbled menu with over 75 items, and a pantry filled to the brim with loads of wasted brisket. His secret diner’s visit to the BBQ joint reveals the front of the house is heavily understaffed, with unreasonable wait times. The owner’s family has become entangled in his ambitions of transitioning from a catering business to a full-on restauranteur. Gordon’s assignment: help the owner start anew by minimizing the menu and inventory, focusing on BBQ staples in the all-new 'Wilson's Secret Sauce' episode of Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service."

We're happy to report that Wilson's Secret Sauce is still open for business.

According to the Wilson's Secret Sauce menu, the restaurant is open from 11 am to 6 pm daily except for Sundays when it closes at 4:30 pm. The award-winning St. Louis ribs platter and smoked brisket platter stand out, but there are also some vegetarian and vegan options available as well.

As of publication, the restaurant has a 4.4 rating on Google Reviews (with 666 reviews as of this writing).

Back in February, a contentious battle seemed to play out in the Google reviews after a customer complained about a price change and the restaurant responded. This led to other one-star reviews about the way the situation was handled; it's worth noting this took place about a month before Ramsay arrived.

Since then, the reviews seem to have turned around for the better, with lots of praise for the food and the updated restaurant.

One five-star reviewer arrived shortly after the remodel in March and noted the "very nice" interior and a "more simple" dine-in menu. adding "Wilson’s will always be a go-to spot for us."

One review praised Kelly's service and the "huge" portions of food. "The prices may seem high," the review noted, "but we got a ton of food for our money."

Another five-star review put things into a very unique perspective: "This was the best meal I’ve ever had in my life. If an angel came up to me and said Josh, you have the choice between peace on earth, or having this brisket meal I would have a very difficult time making that decision."

We're happy to see that things seem to be moving in a positive direction for Wilson's Secret Sauce after Gordon Ramsay's intervention.

The Great British Sewing Bee 2025 once again brought us a new gang of amateur sewers who competed against one another to impress judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young.

12 competitor stitchers from across the country took on a series of tough challenges set by the judges each week and on Tuesday, September 16 Caz, from Staffordshire, was crowned the winner of the 11th series.

Who won The Great British Sewing Bee 2025?

Caz, from Staffordshire, was crowned the winner of the 11th series. Her win came after the 60-year-old won garment of the week three times during the show's design icons week, Korea week and kids week.

"I am totally overwhelmed and I still feel quite emotional about it all, it hasn't quite sunk in," she said.

"Of course my husband and family knew, but I only confided in one friend and one only, so it will be a surprise to a lot of people that know me. Even my parents didn't know."

She said she was "thrilled" to get her daughter Florence on the show as her model, adding that she had the "best day ever".

"That was more important for me than anything else," Caz said. "As a family, we don't generally use the word proud but I think on this occasion we will allow it."

How does the The Great British Sewing Bee 2025 work?

Each week, the contestants must take part in three challenges: a Pattern Challenge to test their basic dressmaking skills, a Transformation Challenge to assess their creativity, plus a Made To Measure Challenge to create a bespoke garment.

One contestant's creation is awarded Garment Of The Week by the judges, and another is sent home from the competition.

The grand final sees the remaining three sewers battle it out to be crowned the winner.

Week 10 - Tuesday, September 16 - FINAL
It's sewing machines at the ready as the finalists tackle three challenges in their bid to be crowned this year's winner. They begin by following the pattern for a deceptively simple bias-cut slip dress, where one mistake in cutting the fabric could cost them the chance to continue. In the transformation challenge, they make garments using sheer fabric, before finally tackling the art of trompe l'oeil, creating illusions with fabric to fit their chosen friend or family member. Three finalists, three challenges - but only one will be crowned as the latest champion.

Week 9 - Tuesday, September 9
The remaining sewers take on three 1920s-inspired challenges in the hope of making it to the final. They begin by recreating the iconic plus fours, a staple of outdoor pursuits from the era, then go on to make modern, block-coloured garments from a selection of polo shirts, invented by tennis player René Lacoste. In the made-to-measure challenge, the semi-finalists embrace the revolutionary fashion of this iconic decade to make an outfit for a 1920s party.

Week 8 - Tuesday, September 2
The sewers tackle three challenges inspired by the silver screen, beginning by following a pattern for a jacket like the one worn by actress Tippi Hedren in Hitchcock classic The Birds. They let their imaginations run wild in the made-to-measure round as they design an outfit for a horror movie character, and the transformation task sees them turning red cinema curtains and tiebacks into a glamorous outfit for a Hollywood party. Gaynor went home this week.

Week 7 - Tuesday, August 26
The sewers tackle three art-inspired challenges, beginning by following a pattern for a baby-doll dress, taking inspiration from award-winning potter Grayson Perry, before turning used painters' overalls into an asymmetric outfit in the Transformation round. For the made-to-measure challenge, the sewers embrace the bold colours and shapes of pop art as they create garments that capture the essence of the post-war movement. Stuart went home this week.

Week 6 - Tuesday, August 19
It's children's week in the sewing room, with the contestants introducing elements of adaptive fashion as they tackle a pattern for a pair of mini dungarees. The made-to-measure task sees them creating outfits inspired by what their young models want to be when they grow up, ranging from polar explorer to beekeeper to politician, and in the transformation challenge, they repurpose maternity wear into toddler outfits. Dan went home this week.

Week 5 - Tuesday, August 12
The sewers tackle the fast fashion industry in Reduce, Reuse and Recycle Week, in which none of the fabric in the haberdashery is new. They begin by creating a zero-waste workwear jacket, then breathe new life into discarded camping gear as they transform tents into complete outfits. In the made-to-measure round, the sewers must raid their wardrobes and those of family and friends to create fresh outfits from garments no longer worn. This week Jess went home.

Week 4 - Tuesday, August 5
Judges Esme Young and Patrick Grant set the contestants three challenges that celebrate the rich fashion and textile traditions of Korea, including following the pattern for the jeogori — a historic Korean jacket now seen in contemporary womenswear and K-Pop. The sewers also design evening wear inspired by a garment once worn by Korean military officials and transform taekwondo outfits and colourful belts into striking new creations. This week Novello was sent home.

Week 3 - Tuesday, July 29
It’s Design Icons Week, so style and glamour is the name of the game for the remaining contestants. Can they successfully stitch together a Diane von Furstenberg-inspired wrap dress, transform home furnishings into Vivienne Westwood-esque punk looks, then navigate the Made to Measure task where they must create a glamorous garment with a nod to Versace? This week, Glendora was sent home.

Week 2 - Tuesday, July 22
Patrick and Esme put the sewers through their paces with three challenges themed around activewear. First, the sewers take on a technical pattern challenge, constructing a seven-panel cap, while, before they give new life to unwanted cycling gear, turning it into stylish new garments. Finally, in the made-to-measure, the sewers must create an athleisure outfit - something practical enough for the gym, but stylish enough for a coffee shop. Despite putting in their best efforts throughout the challenge, it was Saffie and Peter who were sent home.

Week 1 - Tuesday, July 15
Judges Patrick and Esme challenge the sewers to prove their ability to create shape. First up, the Pattern Challenge sees them crafting a tie-front blouse, using gathers to add volume. Next, in the 90-minute Transformation Challenge, circle skirts are reimagined into brand new garments. Finally, the Made-to-Measure challenge tests their skills with pleats as they design a perfectly shaped dress. No one went home this week.

Caz, 59 - retired from Staffordshire - WINNER

Caz grew up in an old railway station with her parents and sister before heading off to study print and print management in Nottingham. She's been married to her husband Darius, for 28 years and they have two children, Florence and Cyrus. Also sharing the family home are their two large cats Oggy and Buzz.

Caz has recently “retired” after running the family printing business for the last 30 years. Caz loved working with the printing presses - often getting covered in as much ink as the items she was printing. She claims she might get another job but is enjoying having more time for sewing!

Kit, 24 - a Digital Marketer from Manchester (Went home in week 9)

Kit grew up in Surrey with their parents, brother and sister. In primary school, their mother started teaching their sister to sew sock puppets, so Kit taught themself out of spite. Kit then tried to sell their creations at school and got in trouble for trying to start a business! They picked up the hobby again at uni and have since been making a garment every week. Kit will often explore a haberdashery and look for the most “awful” fabrics, on a mission to turn them into something beautiful. Kit also enjoys something he call “pointless fashion”, describing this style as “so camp! Wearing something so utterly useless but looking fabulous”. Kit’s “pointless” concepts range from mesh hoodies to a coat held together with chains.

Gaynor, 72 - Retired Office Manager from Port Talbot, Wales (Went home in week 8)

Proudly Welsh, Gaynor has been with her husband for 47 years. Together they have three sons and seven grandchildren (who they love spending time with), aged from 3 to 15, and who call them Nain and Taid. She has made many outfits for the grandchildren’s school plays and fancy-dress costumes for one of her daughters in law. Family is really important to Gaynor, some who live close by in South Wales, and she has spent time tracing her family tree back to the 1600s! And, of course, let’s not forget Willow, the cat; Rowan, the Doberman and Bridie, the Lurcher, Gaynor loves a large dog and enjoys nothing more than stomping up local mountain Drymmau or down the nearby sand dunes with her husband and the dogs.

Jess, 33 - Head of Communications in London (Went home in week 5)

Jess grew up in Berkshire with her parents and sister, surrounded by women who valued making things well and making them last. Sewing is a way to connect with her mother, aunts, and grandmother, who first taught her. A lover of vintage, Jess often wears clothes made by her mum and aunty decades ago, carefully overlocked and looked after to stand the test of time. She now lives in South-East London and is Head of Communications at a news production company, a job she enjoys for its day-to-day variety and problem-solving focus.

Órla, 19 - Café Worker and Student from Inverness - FINALIST

Proud Highlander Órla is a German and Scandinavian student at the University of Edinburgh. An avid fan of languages, she is fluent in Scottish Gaelic and is often inspired by her Gaelic heritage. She is very close with her family, with them performing together as a family folk band, combining traditional Irish, Gaelic and wider Celtic sounds with original compositions. At home in Inverness, she works in a café with her sibling Ró and enjoys going out with her friends. When back at Uni, she loves exploring the city, getting involved with society events and of course creating wild looks for student fashion shows!

Peter, 45 - Senior Pre-Construction Manager from Devon (Went home in week 2)

Peter is married to primary school teacher Becky and together they share a son and two daughters. It was watching Sewing Bee with his daughters that sparked their interest in sewing and together they have been learning how to make their own clothes. One daughter prefers sewing more relaxed and baggy clothes whereas the other follows fashion trends and loves skirts and dresses. They all sew on Peter’s granny's vintage Singer sewing machine and he loves knowing 4 generations have crafted and created on the same machine. His daughters pushed him to apply, and they will definitely be helping him design his Made to Measures!

Glendora, 59 - Bus Driver from Luton (Went home in week 3)

Born in Oxhey, near Watford and now residing in Luton with her two cats Joujou and Tigra, Glendora is a woman of many talents and stories. Glendora is from a large family, with 8 siblings and a mix of half-brothers and sisters. Her upbringing in Oxhey as the only Black family in an all-white area has shaped her understanding of cultural identity. Her mother’s involvement in the Afro-Caribbean society in Watford brought West Indian culture to the community through food and music events, fostering a sense of belonging and cultural pride. Since 2006, Glendora has been a bus driver, a job she loves for its variety and the time it allows her to enjoy her home life. Transitioning from driving the iconic double-decker buses in London to handling local services, Glendora finds joy in the diversity of her passengers and the ever-changing nature of her routes. As one of the few women in a predominantly male industry, she relishes breaking the mold and being part of the growing number of female bus drivers.

Yasmin, 30 - Research and Development Scientist from Gateshead - FINALIST

Research and Development Scientist Yasmin lives in Gateshead with fiancée and resident doctor Sophie. Yasmin comes from a family where fixing, mending and making was always preferred over buying new, but it was her dad who really taught her how to make her own clothes from scratch. Yasmin’s dad was an engineer and talented self-taught tailor (although sewing fast was not in his wheelhouse – he could spend hours hand-basting a sleeve!). They always joked that they would apply for the Sewing Bee as a dad/daughter duo but after he passed away in 2023, she wanted to apply in his memory. The last item they made together was a vibrant pink zebra dress that she wore to his brightly-coloured funeral. He continues to be her biggest inspiration and will be with her all the way.

Novello, 66 - Family Business Owner and Magistrate from London (Went home in week 4)

Novello is the matriarch of a wonderfully eclectic family that spans continents. She's the proud mum of three dynamic grown-ups: a daughter and two sons, living fascinating lives in London, the New Forest, and Mexico. With nine spirited grandchildren aged one to eighteen, her life is always full of youthful energy. Novello’s family puzzle also includes two stepchildren from her late husband and three more from her current husband, Andrew. Growing up in the Welsh valleys with four boisterous brothers and one sister, all with names beginning with 'N'.

Dan, 37 - Performer from Durham (Went home in week 6)

Dan grew up in a close-knit village in Durham and currently shares a home there with his sister, while his partner Joel pursues career opportunities in Ireland. Despite the distance, they are making it work and are eagerly planning to reunite in Ireland soon. From a young age, Dan has been drawn to the stage. His passion for performance led him to become a versatile entertainer, skilled in fire breathing, stilt walking, angle grinder acts and dance. His career as a performer took off alongside his entrepreneurial spirit, founding Legacy, an events company supplying dynamic entertainers across the Northeast.

Saffie, 32 - Lecturer in Product & Industrial Design from London (Went home in week 2)

Saffie lives in a live/work studio in Haggerston with her partner Fred. She has a rich multicultural background including Jamaican, Guyanese, and English heritage. Growing up in North London, she was surrounded by a close-knit family including a brother and a twin sister, with whom she shares a special bond, despite being non-identical and completely different in personalities. Saffie fondly remembers her grandmother, whose hidden stash of vintage fabrics from Ridley Road markets in the 60s and 70s inspired her passion for sewing.

Stuart, 53 - Premises Manager from Herefordshire (Went home in week 7)

Originally from Surrey, Stuart now resides in a charming village in Herefordshire. Stuart balances his life as a dedicated premises manager with his loving family, including his wife and three children as well as their mischievous Border Terrier, Treacle. Stuart’s family are not just supportive; they’re active participants in his creative adventures, often bringing him clothes to mend with his meticulous sewing skills.

The Great British Sewing Bee 2025 judges

Patrick Grant and Esme Young will be returning to the judging duties on the show.

Speaking of the series last year, Patrick told us: "I’m absolutely delighted that the show is still popular. It’s one of the warmest and kindest shows on the telly."

Last year, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, who took part in the celebrity festive edition of the sewing contest in 2021, took over hosting duties while regular presenter, comedian Sara Pascoe, was on maternity leave.

Sara is now back in her presenting role and is ready to help the sewers through their challenges for the 2025 series.

Who won The Great British Sewing Bee 2024?

Classically-trained musician Luke was crowned winner of The Great British Sewing Bee 2024. The diversity, equality and inclusion director wowed the judges throughout the series with their bold, stylish designs and clever use of fabrics.

After Esme and Patrick announced Luke as the winner and handed them the gold trophy, they said: “Honestly, this just doesn't feel real. Never did I think I'd get close to the final, let alone win – this is wild! I'm so proud of myself and I don't tend to say that a lot, but I'm really proud of myself."
