Channel 4 viewers of Hollyoaks on Good Friday saw Holly (Amanda Clapham) being told by Freddie (Charlie Clapham) that she has to give up the man she loves, Robbie (Charlie Wernham), for the sake of his twin Jason (Alfie Browne-Sykes), who loves her.

And, to give Jason back his brother, Holly lied and told Robbie she had slept with Jason.

Channel 4 also showed broken-hearted Rachel (Jennifer Brooke) packing alone for a trip to South America after Nathan (Jared Garfield) dumped her for lying to him about little brother Alfie’s cancer.

Any fans who then switched straight to E4 for first-look Hollyoaks saw how all this heartache became an even bigger tragedy… If you want to find out for yourself in Monday’s C4 episode, stop reading now!

Nathan and Rachel made up and took off for their trip of a lifetime.

Robbie said he was leaving and Jason said he was going with him – to South Africa.

It looked like the only loser would be Holly…

Then they all started getting into cars and you just knew that trouble was right around the corner.

Holly has a few drinks. Jason phones and tells her to get to the airport for Robbie. With Cleo’s encouragement, Holly jumps in a car with her and races to the airport. They get there in one piece, too.

But the journey home is an accident waiting to happen – and it comes in a devastating crash…

Why is Robbie working for Trevor Royle?

"He has come out of prison and he means business. He looked at his grades and thought: ‘I’m not going to be a lawyer, so let's go and earn money this way’ by working for Trevor [Greg Wood]."

Why does Robbie have drugs on him?

"When Trevor asks Robbie to kill Kim [Daisy Wood-Davis], he tries to do the right thing and begs him to spare her. Trevor says that Robbie has 12 hours to get Kim to leave the country – or else she’s dead! Robbie books her a ticket to Spain and they head to the airport, but Trevor’s set up Kim by putting drugs in her bag."

How does Jason get involved in a car chase with Robbie?

"On the way to the airport, Kim changes her mind about leaving and causes Robbie to swerve the car. Jason [Alfie Brown-Sykes] sees him driving erratically and catches him up. They end up having a bit of a fight about their past and all the problems they’ve had."

And Jason goes over a cliff?

"I can’t give away the details of what happens, but I can reveal we did some stunts on location, which involved wearing harnesses at great heights. It was really exciting."

How does Robbie react when Jason falls?

"Robbie’s horrified. However, rather than stay and help, he runs away. He’s got drugs on him and he needs to get rid of them."

Does Robbie regret leaving the scene of the accident?

"Yes, he runs off to ditch the drugs and the car, but then he goes back to the scene. The police are already there and it’s too late to do anything."

Will Jason forgive Robbie if he survives?

"Jason won’t be happy if he lives to tell the tale, But you wouldn’t be if you’d gone over the edge of a ravine!"

Like any brothers, the Roscoe twins don’t always get on, but sibling rivalry takes a serious turn in Hollyoaks this summer as Robbie pushes Jason off the edge of a cliff. And now new pictures show that Kim is caught up in the drama, too.

Earlier this week, the Channel 4 soap released a trailer for Six Weeks of Summer showing Jason Roscoe (Alfie Browne-Sykes) losing his balance during a fight with his twin and toppling down a ravine.

A distressed Robbie Roscoe (Charlie Wernham), looks over the edge and yells out: “Jase!”

Pictures taken by paparazzi photographers have now revealed that Kim Butterfield (Daisy Wood-Davis) will also be part of the storyline.

It seems that Kim grabs the wheel while Robbie is driving her to the airport in an attempt to force her to leave the country. Robbie’s working for dangerous gangster Trevor Royle again, and he wants Robbie to get rid of Kim one way or another.

But as the two lose control of the vehicle, Jason spots the erratic driving and chases them. The situation escalates into a fist fight until Robbie knocks his twin into the ravine.

Jason is rushed off to hospital as his mentor, police sergeant Ben Bradley (Ben Richards), watches anxiously.

Will Jason make it through the fall? And how will Robbie handle the accident?

Hollyoaks’ new serial killer has claimed their first victim at the Dee Valley University Hospital.

Soap bosses revealed in 2014 that a new murderer - to be dubbed the Gloved Hand killer - would roam the corridors of the local hospital in 2015, preying on the weak and vulnerable.

And now Hollyoaks fans who tuned in to the E4 first look episode on New Year’s Eve will have seen Rick Spencer (Victor Gardener), become the first character to fall prey to the killer - who we already know will strike again.

The special, hour-long episode saw Rick left in a critical condition after getting into a fight with youngest son Robbie Roscoe (Charlie Wernham), before older brother Joe Roscoe (Ayden Callaghan) stepped in and punched him.

Rick had just regained consciousness in hospital when an unidentified medic was shown injecting him with potassium chloride.

After Dr Savage (Andrew Greenough), Celine McQueen (Sarah George), Tegan Lomax (Jessica Ellis) and Kim Butterfield (Daisy Wood-Davis) were unable to resuscitate Rick, he was pronounced dead and Joe was arrested for murder.

Victor had been in the show for just over seven months, making his first appearance as Rick in May 2014.

Though soap bosses haven’t decided how many people will be killed off, the Gloved Hand killer is set to strike throughout 2015, and they will not be unmasked for months.

Hollyoaks bosses have even built a new hospital set especially for the storyline.

Executive producer Bryan Kirkwood said: “We have a hospital set populated with characters and primed for a big gothic plot. We love a mystery, but this story won’t just be a whodunit, it will be a ‘who’s next?’,  packed with tension and plenty of red herrings.”
