Zoe Saldaña and Nicole Kidman are back on the front lines in Taylor Sheridan's epic Paramount+ spy thriller, Lioness.

The Yellowstone creator has swapped his signature dusty neo-Western dramas for a female-led espionage nail-biter which sees chaos ensue when "hidden networks, foreign operatives, and personal betrayals collide" as the Lioness team embark on a personal assignment.

The official synopsis of Lioness season 3 reads: "Joe (Saldaña) walks the line between duty and home as unseen forces circle her world. Patterns appear where they shouldn’t, names vanish, and paths rearrange. Guided by Kaitlyn (Kidman) and Westfield (Michael Kelly), Joe confronts enemies operating in the shadows, leaving her to reckon with a war that now reaches into every part of her life."

Ted Lasso season 4

The global smash hit comedy Ted Lasso is back to score another goal on Apple TV. In Ted Lasso season 4, Jason Sudeikis' moustachioed coach returns to Richmond to coach a second division women's football team where they will learn to leap before they look and take chances they never thought they would.

Fan favourites Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift all return this season, alongside newcomers Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely.

My Life with the Walter Boys season 3

Giddy up for more drama as the third season of My Life with the Walter Boys gallops onto Netflix on 6 August. The romantic drama picks up after the season 2 finale where Alex (Ashby Gentry) overheard his girlfriend Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez) and brother Cole (Noah LaLonde) confess their love for each other. However, they were interrupted when their father George (Marc Blucas) was rushed to hospital.

So what's next for the trio this time around? Well, according to the logline: "Season 3 sees the Walters realise what’s important in the fallout from this — and discover that it’s okay to go after what you want. With their love lives still hanging in the balance, Alex turns to his new rodeo riding team, and Cole gets back in the driver’s seat of his life, literally, when a race car driver sees potential in him. The Vampire Lestat: Interview with the Vampire season 3

It's time to sink your teeth into the third season of The Vampire Lestat: Interview with the Vampire coming to BBC2 on 28 July. Based on Anne Rice’s beloved novel series The Vampire Chronicles, this new instalment of the fantasy drama sees Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) take centre stage as he forms a band and goes on tour after Louis de Pointe du Lac’s (Jacob Anderson) tell-all memoir.

The official plot synopsis reads: "Resentful of the perfunctory portrayal in the trashy best-seller Interview With the Vampire, the Vampire Lestat sets his story straight in a way only the Vampire Lestat can — by starting a band and going on tour. Former Shameless star Emmy Rossum takes on the role of FBI agent, Alice Black in this new Disney+ crime drama. Premiering on 27 July, Furious follows Alice who is on the hunt for an elusive female serial killer. However, as their lives start to intertwine, the line between right and wrong begins to blur.

Furious also stars Lola Petticrew, Scoot McNairy, Quincy Tyler Bernstine and Jake Lacy.

Ramy season 3

The hit comedy-drama, Ramy, returns for a third season on Channel 4 this week which stars Ramy Youssef as Ramy Hassan, a first-generation Egyptian-American who tries to navigate his faith in his politically-divided New Jersey neighbourhood.

In season 3, two years have passed since Zainab (MaameYaa Boafo) left Ramy after he cheated on her. This time, Ramy abandons his spiritual journey for wealth as he starts working at his Uncle Naseem's (Laith Nakli) jewellery business in New York's Diamond District.

Ransom Canyon season 2

Saddle up for more soapy drama in the second season of Western romance Ransom Canyon. Based on Jodi Thomas' book series of the same name, the hit Netflix series follows the intersecting lives of three ranching families in a close-knit town in Texas Hill Country.

The second instalment picks up six months after the events of the first season with rancher Staten Kirkland (Josh Duhamel) fighting to reclaim his legacy at his family's Double K Ranch. Meanwhile, musician Quinn O’Grady (Minka Kelly) returns from New York City and must navigate her feelings for Staten and her new love interest, Oliver (Ben Robson). But who does her heart truly belong to and will she stay in the small town she once tried to outrun?

Dick Wolf's police procedural universe has expanded with the arrival of CIA on Sky Witness. The crime drama, which airs on 23 July, centres on two unlikely partners: rule-breaking CIA case officer Colin Glass (Tom Ellis) and by-the-book FBI agent Bill Goodman (Nick Gehlfuss) who must work together to investigate criminal cases that pose a threat to US soil. Although they get off to a rocky start, the pair soon discover their differences are their greatest strength.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4

The legendary sci-fi franchise just got bigger as a fourth addition to the Star Trek spin-off lands on Paramount+ on 23 July. In Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4, "the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise — led by Captain Christopher Pike — embark on a series of thrilling and emotional adventures across the stars. As they journey to strange new worlds, they will battle inner demons and external threats, encounter colourful new characters, reunite with familiar faces and confront terrifying aliens. Lucky

Prepare for killer thrills with this new Apple TV crime drama starring Anya Taylor-Joy. Based on Marissa Stapley’s novel of the same name, Lucky follows the titular con artist (Taylor-Joy) who is forced to go on the run when a multimillion-dollar heist goes wrong. Despite abandoning her life of crime years ago, Lucky must embrace her darker side one last time as she's pursued by the FBI and a ruthless crime boss.

Lucky also features a star-studded cast of Timothy Olyphant, Annette Bening, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Drew Starkey, and William Fichtner.

The Westies

Bullets and bloodshed ignite the streets of 1980s New York in MGM+'s gangland thriller The Westies on 12 July.

The official plot synopsis reads: "The Westies is a gritty and kinetic crime drama centering on New York City’s infamously violent Irish gang of the same name. The series is set in the early 1980s when the construction of the Jacob Javits Convention Center on the Westies’ home turf in Hell’s Kitchen promises a financial windfall. Despite being outnumbered fifty-to-one by the Five Families of the Italian Mafia, the Westies’ legendary brutality and cunning have given them the leverage necessary to share the spoils through a fragile détente.

JK Simmons plays the mob's shrewd leader, Eamon Sweeney with Tom Brittney starring alongside him as his right-hand man, Jimmy Roarke.

R.J. Decker

Coming to Disney+ on 14 July, this dramedy centres on R.J. Decker (Scott Speedman), a disgraced newspaper photographer and ex-con who starts over as a private investigator in the colourful-if-crime-filled world of South Florida.

The series sees him tackle bizarre cases with his journalist ex Catherine Delacroix (Adelaide Clemens), her police detective wife Melody Abreu (Bevin Bru) and a mysterious new benefactor "who could be his greatest ally or his one-way ticket back to prison."

Walker season 2

Walker season 2 rides onto Paramount+ on 10 July and picks up three months after the dramatic season 1 finale. The Western drama sees Texas Ranger and widower Cordell Walker (Jared Padalecki) finally settle into family life on the ranch. Little House on the Prairie

This Netflix reimagining of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s beloved book Little House on the Prairie tells the story of the Ingalls family who face harsh conditions as they attempt to settle down in the American West.

The adaptation, which premieres on 9 July, follows the Ingalls as they decide to leave Wisconsin and build a new life in Independence, Kansas. However, their arrival causes a stir with the Osage People, who have long called the land their home.

Alice Halsey plays Laura Ingalls, and Crosby Fitzgerald and Luke Bracey star as Caroline and Charles Ingalls, aka Ma and Pa. Meanwhile Skywalker Hughes plays older sister Mary.

Law & Order season 24

21 episodes and a new commanding officer later, the hit crime procedural Law & Order season 24 is coming to an end on 7 July. In this season, Lieutenant Jessica Brady (Maura Tierney) replaced Kate Dixon (Camryn Manheim) as head honcho in the NYPD's 27th Precinct. Now in the finale, the murder of a model leads Detectives Jalen Shaw (Mehcad Brooks) and Vincent Riley (Reid Scott) to a suspect whose obsession turned violent.

Fire Country season 4

More sizzling drama is set to light up our screens with the return of CBS drama Fire Country on 1 July. Max Thieriot reprises his role as young convict Bode Leone who joins a prison release firefighting program in a bid to shorten his sentence. This time, Bode is a free man as he continues his journey towards redemption in his hometown, all while battling huge wildfires across Northern California.

In Fire Country season 4, Station 42 faces internal turmoil following the Zabel Ridge fire, but they must band together for a dangerous rescue that tests their strength, loyalty and the future of the firehouse.

Suits LA

This Suits spin-off takes us to the cutthroat world of Los Angeles entertainment and criminal law. The legal drama, which debuts on C4 streaming on 1 July, follows Ted Black (Stephen Amell), a former federal prosecutor from New York who has reinvented himself as a power player in LA, representing the city’s most influential and dangerous clients.

Silo season 3

One of the best Apple TV shows is back as the third season of dystopian drama Silo debuts on 3 July. The book-to-screen adaptation tells the story of 10,000 people living in an underground silo under mysterious circumstances, while revealing an origin story set centuries earlier.

The official synopsis of season 3 reveals: "In the present, Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson) survives her forced 'cleaning' but returns with memory loss as the silo recovers from rebellion and faces a dangerous new threat. This time, the crew go on a mission to convince the Earth King to help them in their fight against Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim).

The Bear season 5

There's more culinary chaos in the final season of critically acclaimed dramedy The Bear, which picks up after Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richie and Natalie “Sugar” (Abby Elliott) discover that Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) has walked away from the restaurant and left them to run the business. The new partners must try to earn a Michelin star with no money, the threat of a sale and a torrential storm in their way. Although they soon realise that what makes a restaurant “perfect” might not be the food, but the people.

The Bear season 5 has its last service on Disney+ on 26 June.

House of the Dragon season 3

Betrayal and bloodshed await as House of the Dragon season 3 swoops onto our screens on 22 June. In the third instalment of the Game of Thrones prequel, Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy) is confident of peace after agreeing a deal with her arch-enemy Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) that will allow her to waltz into King's Landing unchallenged.

Unfortunately, her plans soon turn to ash as she fears for the life of her son Prince Jacaerys Velaryon (Harry Collett) in the Battle of the Gullet. Happy Valley star James Norton joins the cast as fearsome new foe and Alicent's cousin Ormond, while Matt Smith returns as Daemon Targaryen.

Ramón Rodríguez reprises his role as Special Agent Will Trent in the fourth season of the hit police procedural series.

Based on Karin Slaughter's novels of the same name, Will Trent is a Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) detective who was abandoned at birth and had a tumultuous youth growing up in Atlanta's foster care system. Now, he uses his unique point of view to ensure nobody is abandoned like he was and has the highest clearance rate in the GBI.

Will Trent season 4 will have its UK premiere on Disney+ on 3 June.

Cape Fear

Inspired by the 1991 Martin Scorsese remake, Apple TV's Cape Fear stars Patrick Wilson and Amy Adams as married attorneys Tom and Anna Bowden whose lives are upended when Max Cady (Javier Bardem), an evil killer they are responsible for putting behind bars, is released from prison and is hellbent on revenge. Cape Fear kicks off all the action on 5 June.

Fire Country season 1

Don't miss the blazing Fire Country season 1 finale on 2 June which sees a massive mudslide hit Edgewater, meanwhile Bode faces a high-stakes parole hearing that could change everything.

The CBS drama follows Bode Donovan (Max Thieriot), a young convict who joins a prison release firefighting program in Northern California to get a shortened prison sentence and redeem himself from his past mistakes. As Bode returns to his hometown, he hopes that he can earn forgiveness for his criminal reputation, all while battling huge wildfires.

The 27th season of hit police procedural Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is coming to UK soil on Sky Witness on 25 May. In this new instalment of the iconic Dick Wolf franchise, Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) continues to lead her elite team of NYPD detectives in tackling some of the most harrowing crimes, including sexual abuse and domestic violence.

This life-saving squad consists of Sergeant Odafin "Fin" Tutuola (Ice-T), Detective Terry Bruno (Kevin Kane), Sergeant Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish), Assistant District Attorney Dominick "Sonny" Carisi Jr. (Peter Scanavino), Captain Renee Curry (Aimé Donna Kelly), and Detective Jake Griffin (Corey Cott), who all continue to seek justice for the victims of the worst crimes.

Star City

Set in the world of For All Mankind, this new sci-fi thriller is an "alt-history" of the space race. Apple TV transforms the historical event into a "propulsive paranoid thriller that takes us back to the key moment in the alt-history retelling of the space race — when the Soviet Union became the first nation to put a man on the moon."

Star City takes us behind the Iron Curtain as it offers a what-if take on the global space race from the Soviet Union perspective, where the cosmonauts, engineers and intelligence officers on the Soviet space program all took risks to propel humankind forward.

Set to premiere on May 29, the Star City cast features Rhys Ifans, Anna Maxwell Martin, Agnes O’Casey and Alice Englert.

This year we’ve been spoiled by some gripping dramas, so the New Drama award will be one of the night’s biggest battles, with A Woman Of Substance, Death Valley, The Other Bennet Sister, The Girlfriend, The War Between the Land & The Sea and Riot Women all vying against each other.

Meanwhile, the Returning Drama gong sees a slew of binge-watchable shows up for a gong, including Blue Lights, Grace, Death In Paradise, Call The Midwife, Shetland and The Night Manager. The top actors long-listed Drama Performance include Gary Oldman (Slow Horses), Holliday Grainger (The Capture), Sheridan Smith (The Cage) and Ruth Jones (The Other Bennet Sister), so it really is hard to pick a favourite!

It’s also been a bumper year for reality shows, with The Celebrity Traitors gaining a massive audience last October as mega-Traitor Alan Carr swept through the Faithfuls, but it will battling for votes with Love Island, The Apprentice and Race Across The World.

Sir David Attenborough marks his centenary year by scoring a rare ‘fivesome’ in the Factual Entertainment category, with Secret Garden, Parenthood, Kingdom, Wild London and A Gorilla Story all up for gongs. More heartfelt and inspiring stories compete for the Authored Documentary award with moving tributes in Caroline Flack: Search for the Truth and Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home.

There’s plenty of family fun leads for the Comedy gong, with Amandaland, Here We Go and Changing Ends all strong contenders.

The headline-hitting soap event of the year was of course January’s huge crossover episode Corriedale, so will either Coronation Street or Emmerdale take home the coveted Serial Drama accolade? Title holders EastEnders could give them a run for their soap money! Among the soap actors in line for the Serial Drama Performance are Paul Bradley (EastEnders), Joshua Richards (Emmerdale) and Sue Davaney (Corrie) plus Casualty stars Milo Clarke, William Beck and Melanie Hill.

Apple TV has a new dark comedy to add to its sprawling library with the arrival of Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed. The 10-part series, which premieres on 20 May, follows newly divorced mother Paula (Tatiana Maslany) as she becomes embroiled in a dangerous web of blackmail, murder, and youth soccer. Convinced she witnessed a crime, Paula begins her own investigation — all while struggling through a custody battle and an identity crisis.

The Boroughs

A retirement community battle time-stealing monsters in this sci-fi saga from Stranger Things creators, The Duffer Brothers. The pair introduce us to yet another supernatural town in The Boroughs, where "a group of unlikely heroes must band together to stop an otherworldly threat from stealing the one thing they don't have, time."

The new Netflix series premieres on 21 May and features a star-studded cast of Alfred Molina, Geena Davis, Bill Pullman, Alfre Woodard, and Alice Kremelberg.

PONIES

Sky is bringing exciting espionage and bombshell betrayals in spy thriller PONIES on 22 May. Set in Moscow in 1977, two 'PONIES' (‘persons of no interest’ in intelligence speak) work anonymously as secretaries in the American Embassy. But when Bea (Emilia Clarke) and Twila's (Haley Lu Richardson) husbands are mysteriously killed in the USSR, the pair become CIA operatives to uncover a Cold War conspiracy that caused their murders.

FROM season 4

The mystery continues on Sky One as the fourth season of MGM's hit horror series, FROM premieres on May 14 in the UK.

FROM follows the residents who are trapped in a nightmarish town where mysterious forces and monstrous beings terrorise the locals. As they attempt to preserve a sense of stability and search for a way out, army veteran and honorary sheriff Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau) is on-hand to ensure everyone's safety despite the horrors that consume the community.

According to the official synopsis: "In season 4, the closer the residents of town get to the answers they seek, the more terrifying their search becomes. Who is the Man in Yellow, and what does he want? Will Jade and Tabitha's revelation be the key to finally going home? How much longer can Boyd hold the town together, even as his body and mind are falling apart? And what role will the town's most recent arrival play in the events to come? Dutton Ranch

Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser dust off their boots as they reprise their roles as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler in this Yellowstone spin-off series, which airs on Paramount+ on May 15.

Dutton Ranch is yet another addition to Taylor Sheridan's epic Western franchise and sees the couple try to build a new life in South Texas. However, they're forced to contend with brutal new realities and a rival ranch that will do anything to protect its empire.

Nemesis

This bold Netflix crime drama stars Matthew Law as Detective Isaiah Stiles, an LAPD cop who is hellbent on taking down criminal mastermind, Coltrane Wilder (Y'lan Noel) after he commits a string of heists. What comes next is a daring game of cat-and-mouse, but only one can come out on top.

The plot reads: "What starts as a subversion of the heist genre, amped by thrilling life-or-death stakes, family dynamics, and explosive action, becomes an exploration of what drives us, sustains us, and ultimately destroys us."

Richard Gadd’s Baby Reindeer follow-up sees childhood friends reunite with devastating consequences. 'Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind: Contact Has Begun' [2020]

"UFOs: Past, Present, and Future" is a vintage film that makes the "best UFO docs" list by virtue of the controversy it still causes today. Available now on YouTube, it was promoted when it was released in 1974 with the tagline "What you are witnessing is based on fact. Some will find it fascinating, some will find it frightening: but it is all true." Most would debate that now. The writer/ producer Robert Emenegger claimed that the Air Force promised him footage of a UFO landing at Holloman Air Force Base and evidence of a meeting between aliens and members of the US government before getting cold feet. The consensus is that the film was backed by NASA, the Army and the Navy because the CIA were behind it all. Why? Disinformation? To make the tinfoil hat brigade look even crazier? As cover for real-life military tech? That remains to be... er... disclosed.

'Moment of Contact' [2022]

"A Moment of Contact" is another James Fox production and an exploration of a series of events in Varginha, Brazil in 1996. Residents in the area reported seeing a UFO crash and strange creatures, presumed extra-terrestrial. Occasionally referred to, inaccurately, as "The Roswell of Brazil" there was also a reported hostility shown towards the population. The original film has now been updated (and retitled "Moment of Contact: New Revelations of Alien Encounters") in light of perceived momentum towards disclosure from the U.S. government and premieres digitally in December 2025. The 1 hour 48 minute doc from 2022 merits inclusion on "the best UFO docs" list as it brings a relatively unknown and startling story to a wider audience outside South America.

'Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers' [2018]

If the UFO community have a sacred cow, it is the quiet and bespectacled Bob Lazar. To many he is the whistleblower who blew the whistle about Area 51 and the reverse engineering of extra-terrestrial technology first and loudest and subsequently became the victim of a state-orchestrated dirty-tricks campaign that ruined his life. The Jeremy Corbell directed "Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers" makes the list of "best UFO docs" because Lazar has to be allowed to tell his own story (the highly-anticipated "S4: The Bob Lazar Story" is not slated for release at the time of writing) whether his detractors like it or not. Much like the man himself, this doc will both the reinforce the conviction of both believers and skeptics.

'The Phenomenon' [2020]

It is perhaps not coincidental that UFO sitings most commonly take place near or around nuclear installations and have increased exponentially since the development of atomic and nuclear weapons at the end of World War Two. "The Phenomenon", with director James Fox at the helm again, goes back to this period for first person accounts before bringing it up-to-date in 2020 (when the film was released) to view the intervening years through the prism of the official confirmation that there was an on-going Department of Defense investigation into military sightings. Witness statements from qualified personnel and the considered opinion of various authoritative figures such as former senate majority leader Harry Reid and New Mexico governor Bill Richardson do much of the heavy lifting. It makes the "best UFO docs" list due to the cameo from veteran UFOlogist Jacques Vallee (the inspiration for the Claude Lacombe character in 1977 movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind").

'Encounters' [2023]

Steven Spielberg has previous with aliens ("Close Encounters of the Third Kind"/ "E.T.") and has probably done more than anyone else in history to place the eternal debate about whether we are alone or not in the public mind. His docuseries "Encounters" looks at four multiple witness-heavy events: The Zimbabwe school visitation in 1994 (as covered in "The Aerial Phenomenon", above); the 1977 Broad Haven Triangle incident in Wales; a mass siting in Stephensville, Texas in 2008; and, the bizarre scenes over the sky in Fukushima, Japan after the 2011earthquake and tsunami. The UFO community know all the stories here and will find little new to savor but Spielberg's authority delivers a perfect and persuasive primer for the undecided and unsure.

'UFO Revolution' season 2 [2025]

"UFO Revolution" season 2 follows journalist Jeremy Corbell as lobbies the government to reveal what they know and leaks yet more UAP footage, this time purporting to show a strange 'Gimbal-shaped' inside a military base in Iraq in 2008. A Congressional hearing in November 2024 entitled "Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing The Truth" might have seen military experts, the head of NASA's UAP task force and whistleblowers testify to the existence of strange craft in our skies and, if Luis Elizondo is to be believed, under examination in top secret establishments once they have fallen to Earth but official confirmation is still not forthcoming. Margo's Got Money Troubles

Based on Rufi Thorpe's bestseller of the same name, Margo's Got Money Troubles features a star-studded cast that includes Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nick Offerman and Nicole Kidman.

The book-to-screen adaption, coming to Apple TV on April 15, follows 20-year-old Margo (Elle Fanning), an aspiring writer who finds herself broke and a single mum after an ill-judged affair with her married college professor, Mark (Michael Angarano).

Struggling to make ends meet and care for her baby son, Bodhi, Margo turns to the online adult-content website OnlyFans to raise cash. Meanwhile, the story also focuses on Margo's former Hooters waitress mother Shyanne (Michelle Pfeiffer), who struggles with being a grandmother and her estranged father, ex-professional wrestler Jinx (Nick Offerman) as he unexpectedly moves in.

Nicole Kidman also stars as wrestler-turned-lawyer Lace, who helps Margo when Mark re-enters her life.

Euphoria season 3

Critically acclaimed teen drama Euphoria returns after four years, which sees the high school students now in the throes of early adulthood.

Set five years after season two, the new instalment finds struggling addict Rue Bennett (Zendaya) in Mexico trying to pay off her debt to drug dealer Laurie (Martha Kelly). Meanwhile Jules Vaughn (Hunter Schafer) is at art school, Maddy Perez (Alex Demie) is working at a talent agency in Hollywood, and Lexi Howard (Maude Apatow) is an assistant to a showrunner (played by Sharon Stone).

Also, Lexi’s older sister, Cassie Howard (Sydney Sweeney), is an adult content creator married to Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi), who works at his father's construction business.

Colman Domingo reprises his role as Rue’s mentor, Ali Muhammad, plus there's new guest stars set to appear, including Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Spanish singer Rosalía.

Hit Netflix dramedy BEEF is back with new "beef" as a young couple sees an alarming fight between their boss and his wife.

Cross S2 finale

Season two of Prime Video's edge-of-your-seat thriller, based on James Patterson’s best-selling book series, builds to a dramatic climax this week. But will gifted homicide detective and forensic psychologist Alex Cross (Aldis Hodge) catch vigilante Rebecca/Luz (Jeanine Mason)?

Executive produced by and starring Elisabeth Moss and Kerry Washington, Apple TV’s eight-part limited series centres on a crime that destroys the lives of three women who have been friends for decades.

The psychological thriller is based on Araminta Hall’s novel of the same name and covers themes of guilt and retribution, love and betrayal as well as decisions and compromises that forever change the course of people’s lives.

The Affair

Garden clubs are supposed to be a peaceful retreat, but not for the Grosse Pointe Garden Society. In this drama, four suburban garden club members get their green fingers dirty with a murder mystery.

Alice (AnnaSophia Robb), Catherine (Aja Naomi King), Brett (Ben Rappaport), and Birdie (Melissa Fumero) get rid of the evidence by burying the body in their own garden. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

An epic new adventure awaits in Westeros with the Game of Thrones spin-off A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which is inspired by George RR Martin’s trio of Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas.

This new addition to the hit fantasy franchise is set around a century before the events of the original saga and 100 years after the first prequel series, House of the Dragon. The six-parter follows knight Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey) and his squire Prince Aegon "Egg" Targaryen (Dexter Sol Ansell) as they navigate dangerous exploits in a world where the Targaryen family still hold the Iron Throne, but have lost the dragons that made them so respected.

The Beauty

The Beauty is yet another dark creation from the mind of TV hitmaker Ryan Murphy which asks the question: Would you willingly contract a sexually transmitted disease if you knew it would make you beautiful?

Following on from his recent success of Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story and Grotesquerie, The Beauty is inspired by the comic book series of the same name and features an all-star cast of Evan Peters, Ashton Kutcher, Jeremy Pope, Anthony Ramos, and Rebecca Hall. Love Island season 3 finally has a confirmed release date. Episode 1 will air at 9pm on Thursday, 15 January after producers began filming again on Wednesday. The All Stars 2026 launch was delayed by wildfires in South Africa.

Tell Me Lies season 3

The hit psychological drama is back for a third outing on Disney+ (January 13) and this time, Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White) have rekindled their rocky romance as they prepare for spring semester at Baird College.

"While they promise things will be different this time, past indiscretions hinder their best intentions, and Lucy finds herself embroiled in a controversy she wants nothing to do with. Meanwhile, the disastrous repercussions from the previous year also force Lucy and Stephen's friends to face their own destructive behaviours. If you want to start the new year with a spooky series, then look no further as all four seasons of Evil are coming to Sky Box Sets and NOW on January 4.

The hit supernatural drama sees sceptical psychologist Kristen Bouchard (Katja Herbers) join forces with priest-to-be David Acosta (Mike Colter) and tech expert Ben Shakir (Aasif Mandvi) to investigate supernatural phenomenon's in the church, including "supposed miracles, demonic possessions and other extraordinary occurrences."

As per the official synopsis: "Their job is to assess if there's a logical explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work, examining the origins of evil along the dividing line between science and religion."

Based on Alice Feeney's novel of the same name, this twisty thriller features Tessa Thompson as Anna, a reclusive news anchor who springs back into action when she finds out about a murder in her sleepy hometown of Dahlonega. As Anna jumps onto the case in search for answers, Detective Jack Harper (Jon Bernthal) is suspicious of her involvement, chasing her into the crosshairs of his own investigation.

His & Hers premieres on Netflix on January 8 and also stars Pablo Schreiber, Crystal Fox, Sunita Mani, Rebecca Rittenhouse, and Marin Ireland.

Matlock season 2

Oscar-winner Kathy Bates returns to her award-winning role as the brilliant septuagenarian Madeline "Matty" Matlock in season 2 of the legal drama airing on Sky Witness on January 7.

The first series was a huge hit, and WTW hailed the show as one of the best of the fall 2024-2025 TV season and worthy of Kathy Bates' final role in Hollywood (Bates previously stated Matlock is her last big project before retiring).

Now, in Matlock season 2, Madeline re-joins the workforce at a prestigious law firm "where she uses her unassuming demeanour and wily tactics to win cases and expose corruption from within."

The secret traitors holds huge power as they select the three-person shortlist for murder every night (they can only pick faithfuls) from which the traitors must pick one. They no longer have free rein and are, essentially, middle management.

Early suggestions were Judy, but she's been banished and revealed to be a faithful, and the traitors think it could be psychologist Ellie or professional Welshwoman Fiona.

The Hunting Wives season 1

Based on the novel by May Cobb, The Hunting Wives stars Brittany Snow as Sophie O'Neil, who moves from Massachusetts to East Texas with her husband and son for a fresh start. But with a small town comes big drama and Sophie finds herself at the centre of it all when she befriends Margo (Malin Akerman) and her elite socialite group. Soon, Sophie is drawn into their world of dangerous secrets, obsession, and murder when a teenage girl is found dead in the woods — but who pulled the fatal trigger?

Described as a "zingy murder mystery" by What To Watch writer Terrell Smith, he goes on to write: "Beyond the intriguing storyline that unfolds, my favorite aspect of the brand-new series is the witty comedy peppered throughout all the episodes. Right off the bat in the series premiere, I found myself laughing out loud as Sophie was given the culture shock of her life, meeting people who clearly don’t share her same political views. 61st Street season 1

Two-time Emmy-winning actor Courtney B. Vance and Oscar-nominated actress Aunjanue Ellis lead this powerful criminal justice drama coming to ITVX on December 28.

The plot for 61st Street reads: "The story follows Moses Johnson (Tosin Cole), a promising black high school athlete, who is swept up into the infamously corrupt Chicago criminal justice system. Taken by the police as a supposed gang member, he finds himself in the eye of the storm as police and prosecutors seek revenge for the death of an officer during a drug bust gone wrong.
