Actress Claire Goose has signed up to star in The Bill. Claire, best known for her role as Tina Seabrook in Casualty, will don a uniform to play Sergeant Rachel Watson in the hit ITV1 cop drama. Rachel, a born leader respected by her colleagues and bosses alike, is one of four new characters joining the uniform team at Sun Hill. There will also be three new Pcs: Leon Taylor (played by Dominic Power) Millie Brown (Clare Foster) and Arun Ghir (Abhin Galeya). Tim Key, series producer, said: "These are exciting times for The Bill and our new arrivals will add a dynamic and intriguing energy to our already fantastic cast. "Our new characters are united in their desire for justice and results - but their personalities couldn't be more different." The Bill, shown every Wednesday and Thursday on ITV1, won the RTS Award for Best Continuing Drama in 2007. It has been nominated for the BAFTA Television Award for Continuing Drama alongside EastEnders, Emmerdale and Holby City.
