Dawn French and Emilia Fox play the wronged women in Sky 1's drama Delicious, set in the world of Cornish restaurants
Emilia Fox, Sheila Hancock and Iain Glen will be sinking their teeth into the script for Dawn French’s new drama Delicious.
Dawn and Emilia last starred opposite each other in James Corden’s comedy, The Wrong Mans, but their reunion will be less pleasant this time as they play warring women both betrayed by the same man in the Sky1 show.
Passionate cook Gina (Dawn) was once married to successful chef and hotelier Leo Vincent, played by Game of Thrones star Iain, and is annoyed his business has gone from strength-to-strength since he left her for the glamorous Sam (Silent Witness’s Emilia).
When Sam confides in Gina that she thinks Leo might be having another affair, she discovers that his ex-wife herself is the 'other woman', leaving the two women to either build bridges or tear each other apart.
Emilia said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be part of Sky’s new drama Delicious. As a starter, it’s heaven to be working with Dawn French and Iain Glen again. For main course, an absolute treat to be working on such great scripts. For the perfect recipe, a brilliant crew, cast and production team. I can’t wait to tuck in!”
Iain added: “The script for Delicious was irresistible. Funny, poignant and unpredictable. I can’t wait to dig my teeth into this feast of a drama.”
Packed with secrets and scandal, the four-part series is described as an 'honest and compelling story of love, sex, lies and betrayal, where things are never as they seem'.
Filming has begun in Cornwall, with Delicious expected to screen later this year.
