The Smart Display family is getting a little bigger today. Following the Lenovo Smart Display , JBL Link View , and Google Home Hub , we now have more details on LG's foray into this market with the wonderfully-named LG XBOOM AI ThinQ WK9.
The WK9 has an 8-inch HD display that allows you to interact with the same great Smart Display experience we've been messing around with for a few months now. You can use the screen to access step-by-step recipe guides, video calling with Google Duo thanks to the 5MP camera, YouTube videos, and — of course — you can use your voice to talk to the Google Assistant at any time.
Similar to the JBL Link View, LG's really promoting the speaker/sound quality on the WK9. LG partnered with Meridian Audio for the gadget and outfitted the WK9 with stereo 20W speakers that promise to offer "crystal clear audio."
If you're interested, the LG XBOOM AI ThinQ WK9 is initially launching in the United States with "key markets in other regions" following at a later date. The WK9 has a retail price of $300, but as part of a special promotion, LG's letting early adopters pick it up for $200.
