David doesn’t yet know who to trust – and we certainly know how he feels! With the identity of the gunman continuing to elude the police, the politician’s heroic PPO is not yet under suspicion himself, but there’ll be some tricky questions to answer once the late Andy Apsted is unmasked. Meanwhile, the Home Secretary is determined to climb the political ladder, and despite the escalating threat levels, presses ahead with a high-profile speech… Rating: *****

Becky Sharp, a ruthless but likeable school mistress, is desperate to claw her way out of the bottom of society. And when she loses her job, her mind goes into overdrive… Rising star Olivia Cooke leads a stellar cast that also includes Suranne Jones, Martin Clunes and Claire Skinner, for a sumptuous and surprising treat, with episode two airing tomorrow at 9pm.
