There's bad news for fans of BBC 1's Atlantis. The fantasy drama has been axed after just two series.
The series is currently on a break, with the remaining episodes of Series 2 due to be shown sometime this Spring. But according to Digital Spy, Atlantis is not being re-commissioned by the BBC for Series 3.
"We are very proud of both series but to keep increasing the range of BBC 1 drama we have to make difficult decisions to bring new shows through," says a BBC spokesperson.
What do you think about Atlantis getting the axe? Would you like to see another channel pick-up the series for further adventures?

Simon has written for a variety of TV magazines and websites including Inside Soap, Nickelodeon, What’s On TV, Radio Times, Metro and Digital Spy.
He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards and is co-author of The Treasures Of Coronation Street (Carlton Books)
And the writer and director of (very!) low budget fright flick, Midsummer Night's EVIL and the sequel webisodes series, The Hatchet Woods HORROR.
