Atlantis resurfaces for seven more episodes

Atlantis is making its final return to TV for the last episodes of series two.

The fantasy drama was cancelled by the BBC last year during its second series, but will resurface after a break to screen the remaining seven instalments before it sinks forever.

It is based on the Greek myths and Jack Donnelly, who stars as Jason, said when it was announced that it was being axed how devastated he and the rest of the cast were.

He told Digital Spy at the time: “Everything is left up in the air – everything. I think the ending is brilliant, but they really set it up – the producers definitely had an idea for what the third series was going to be.

“We’d had massive discussions – me and the other actors – about what might happen and that’s all left up in the air.”

Now, fans will have the chance to see how the programme ends and what becomes of Jason, as well as characters played by Robert Emms, Mark Addy, Aiysha Hart and Sarah Parish.

Atlantis is due to resume on BBC One on Saturday, April 11 at 7.45pm.
