Former Coronation Street star Bradley Walsh will be returning to our screens - in a gritty three-part drama for ITV. The former Coronation Street star will join Losing It's Holly Aird, Adam Kotz from The Last King Of Scotland and Spooks actress Nicola Walker in Torn. Inspired by recent true cases, the drama will tell the story of a family whose life is ripped apart when their eldest daughter disappears on a beach holiday. In the absence of a body the child is pronounced missing, presumed dead and the case is closed. But 12 years later the mother catches sight of a girl she is convinced is her child. The show has been commissioned by Nick Elliott, Controller of Network Drama for ITV1, produced by Jeremy Gwilt (Under The Greenwood Tree, Monarch Of The Glen) and written by Chris Lang (Amnesia, Lawless). It will be directed by Sarah Harding (Lewis). Nick said: "To lose a daughter on a crowded beach is every parent's nightmare. To find her again many years later but not to know if you will still be allowed to be her mother is an agonising dilemma. "And when I read this script I knew we had to do it."
