Lindi Mngaza became the fifth contestant to be fired from The Apprentice by Sir Alan Sugar on Wednesday night - and immediately laid into fellow teammate Jennifer Maguire. "Jen deserved to go more than I did. She made the initial error and I'm a better salesperson in any case," said the 22-year-old, who - like Jennifer - enraged Sir Alan by offering an exclusivity deal during Wednesday's ice cream task. She added: "If Jen is the 'best salesperson in Europe', I'm the best salesperson in the world!" Lindi was fired from the BBC1 show after Sir Alan asked the teams to create two new ice cream flavours and pitch them to clients. Team Renaissance, led by Claire Young, made £1,455.45, while rivals Alpha, led by Lucinda Ledgerwood, made £1,273.64. In the boardroom, Sir Alan was furious when he discovered that Lindi and Jennifer had offered exclusive deals to a cinema chain and pub, raging: "You're out representing a farmer, who's trying to build up a business in London, and there you are giving away his total exclusivity in cinemas and bars... you've demonstrated how you've limited the farmer's business. "Had I known this earlier on, these sales would have been void." Under-fire Lucinda then brought Lindi and Jennifer back into the boardroom, where Sir Alan told Lindi: "You were second in command for what I think was the most important thing in this task: identifying customers and selling the merchandise. "And it's sales that you lost this task on, and that brings me back to a conclusion: that Lindi, you're fired!" Lindi, who has made the top 10 per cent of UK earners despite being dyslexic, said: "I thought I was going to win and this has happened. I was very shocked, absolutely stunned." She said she "didn't get the chance to showcase my skills". She also admitted that the show had become a hotbed of backstabbing and rivalry: "People were more two-faced in the competition than I thought they would be. "Jennifer Maguire can be two-faced, and I reckon Lucinda needs to be watched - she can twist a situation to her advantage. I didn't like the bitching at all - it was silly, schoolyard stuff."
