A third series of BBC1 show The Syndicate has been commissioned, according to the series creator, Kay Mellor.
The drama which focuses on lottery winners and starred Benidorm's Siobhan Finneran, Alison Steadman and ex-EastEnder Jimi Mistry as hospital workers who hit the jackpot in the last series, will be set in Yorkshire for its third run, and will revolve around workers at a stately home.
"I'm delighted that the BBC is showing such faith in me as a writer," says Kay, who is also working on a new BBC1 drama In The Club, based around an ante-natal group, as well as a US remake of The Syndicate.
"It's the first time I've been in a situation that I have a body of work ahead of me that will take me through the end of 2015."
The cast and on-air date have yet to be announced.
