Actress Billie Piper and actor Laurence Fox have split up after more than eight years of marriage.
The couple insisted that 'no third parties' were involved and appealed for 'space and privacy' in a statement on Laurence’s official Facebook page.
Lewis star Laurence, 37, and former pop singer Billie, 33, married in December 2007 and they have two sons together.
The statement read: “Laurence Fox and Billie Piper have separated. No third parties are involved.
“For the sake of our family we request and appeal for space and privacy at this time.”
Laurence was forced to apologise earlier this month for swearing at a heckler while performing in a play.
The actor’s outburst came during his portrayal of French statesman Charles de Gaulle in The Patriotic Traitor at London’s Park Theatre.
According to the Evening Standard, during the live performance, Laurence scolded a man in the front row with the words: “I won’t bother telling you the story because this c*** in the front row has ruined it for everybody.”
He left the stage and did not return for the final bow.
