British Horror director Pete Walker at the BFI Southbank

House of Long Shadows

Back in the 1970s, director Pete Walker was responsible for some of Britain’s bloodiest horror films, and single-handedly kept a dying UK film industry afloat with grisly psycho-chillers like House of Whipcord, The Comeback and the like.

Making a rare personal appearance, Walker will be doing a Q&A at London’s BFI Southbank on Thursday 12 March, in which there’s also a chance to catch one of his most shocking films, Frightmare, starring Walker’s favourite mistress of the dark, Sheila Keith.

But that’s not all. After the Q&A, there's an extremely rare chance to see his final film, the underrated tongue-in-cheek whodunnit, House of the Long Shadows, which teams veteran horror stars Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Vincent Price and John Carradine.
