The Crown and The Night Manager stars win big at the Golden Globes

There was major success for British stars including Clare Foy, Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie and Olivia Colman at the Golden Globes awards

BBC thriller The Night Manager was the big British winner at the 74th Golden Globe Awards.

Tom Hiddleston was named best actor in a limited television series for his performance in the series, while Hugh Laurie and Olivia Colman collected awards for their supporting roles.

British actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson won the award for best supporting actor in a movie for his portrayal of a psychopathic drifter in Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals.

And in more success for the Brits, Claire Foy won best actress in a television drama for her portrayal of the Queen in The Crown.

The big-budget Netflix series, which explores the early years of the monarch’s reign, was also named best television drama series.
