Danny Dyer and Louise Lombard talk to whatsontv.co.uk about their roles in new BBC crime drama Kiss of Death. Movie bad boy Danny Dyer will surprise his fans in the feature-length TV drama Kiss of Death, which screens on BBC1 on Bank Holiday Monday. Famous for playing villains and robbers in the The Football Factory and The Business, Danny sees himself on the right side of the law playing DS Matt Costello. Speaking exclusively to whatsontv.co.uk about his character, Danny says: "He's quite a sensitive soul, although he's quite a powerful character." He adds: "He has nothing but admiration for Kay." Costello's boss, Kay Rousseau, is played by Louise Lombard, who recently became a familiar face on the other side of the Atlantic in the hit crime drama Crime Scene Investigation. "She is complicated," Louise says of Kay. "It's a very fragile balance between how she holds herself as a leader in the workplace without being consumed by her emotional demons." She adds: "There is always this pressure... the stake's are high." Kiss of Death is showing on Bank Holiday Monday at 9pm on BBC1.
