ITV to screen Prince William interview in September

ITV will screen an interview with Prince William in September, the first since the birth of Prince George.

The prince will reportedly talk about his joy at becoming a father, his passion for wildlife conservation and the importance of continuing Princess Diana's legacy.

Filmed at Kensington Palace, Prince William's Passion: New Father, New Hope, the prince reflects on the pivotal role that Africa has played in his life and his desire to build both on his father's conservation work and his mother's humanitarian campaigns on the continent.

The documentary includes exclusive footage of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at a reception for the nominees for the inaugural Tusk Conservation Awards - one of their first public appearances since the the birth of their son. The prince is a patron of Tusk Trust, a UK charity funds that African conservation projects.

ITV's factual controller Jo Clinton-Davis said: "The documentary offers viewers a unique and rare insight into the true passions in Prince William’s life, Africa, wildlife conservation and, above all, his family."
