Noel Gallagher: I've said no to Strictly, X Factor, I'm a Celebrity and Piers Morgan

Noel Gallagher has revealed he has rejected offers to participate on Strictly Come Dancing.

The former Oasis frontman, who performs with the High Flying Birds, admitted he has been approached to take part on the BBC dance competition, as well as I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and Piers Morgan’s talk show.

“Some f****r saw I’d left Oasis and thought I’d be unemployed so I was even asked to do Strictly Come Dancing, which made me laugh the loudest. Me? Dance? And who gives a s**t about ballroom dancing?” he told The Sun.

“I’ve been asked to go in to the jungle… and twice for The X Factor. Then there was Top Gear – even though I can’t f***ing drive. They said, ‘Don’t worry about that, just come on.’ They wanted to give me driving lessons so I’d pass my test with Top Gear.”

The 47-year-old rocker continued: “I’ve also been asked to do Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, but not only would I not shed a tear, I’d call him a ****.”

Noel said he isn’t chasing the dream of becoming a reality TV star.

“The only TV I’m doing is Graham Norton, The Jonathan Ross Show and Alan Carr – because I’ve got a new album coming out. I’m not going on TV for anything else. I’m a musician,” he added.

Noel – whose second album with High Flying Birds, Chasing Yesterday, will be out on March 2 – revealed he has no regrets over Oasis’s split and his falling out with his brother Liam.

“He sends me cheeky texts from time to time,” he said of his sibling. “He texted me the other night asking when my duet with Robbie Williams was coming out? He’s all right.

“The fact we fell out was no big deal to anybody apart from the fact the band split up. Anyone who saw us an hour before that fight knew it was only going to end one way. I don’t regret any of it and it had to happen.”
