Rav Wilding has 'week from hell' after life-threatening Splash! injury

Rav Wilding is said to have been left fighting for his life because of the injury that forced him to drop out of TV show Splash!

The Crimewatch presenter was due to take part in ITV's celebrity diving contest, but during training he was diagnosed with hamstring avulsion, where part of the tendon snaps away from the pelvis, and had to have surgery before Christmas.

But according to the Daily Mirror, Rav, who seemed to be recovering well, took a turn for the worse on New Year's Eve when he started suffering chest pains and his fiancee, Loose Women producer Jill Morgan, had to call an ambulance for him.

Rav was sent home, but ended up back in hospital a day later and was diagnosed with a blood clot in his lung which had formed because he was unable to move after his operation.

His spokesperson said: "He is in a really bad way right now."

Rav is back home again now and Jill tweeted over the weekend: "Glad to finally have @RavWilding home from hospital. Week from hell..."
