Russell Brand reveals he's about to become a dad with a little help from Instagram...

Comedian and author Russell Brand has confirmed he is going to be a father for the first time!

The outspoken TV star, 41, posted a photograph of himself on his Instagram account that pretty much says it all.

The caption alongside the photograph reads: “Right then. My Mum bought me this. Time to get ready! #trewlit #bookstagram #parenting”.

Reports say his girlfriend Laura Gallacher, 27, is believed to be around six months pregnant.

She is the youngest sister of sports presenter Kirsty Gallacher, who hinted at big news in June when she posted a photograph of herself with her sister, writing: “Congratulations to my gorgeous sister”.

Russell was married to pop star Katy Perry for just over a year and also dated Jemima Goldsmith.
