Russell Brand has reportedly missed a top spot on US chat show The David Letterman show after he had visa problems on his arrival in New York. The Essex funnyman had apparently been invited on the show after his new film Forgetting Sarah Marshall hit the No 1 spot at the US box office. But the Sun reports that the 32-year-old had to turn back to Heathrow when immigration officials refused to let him into the country. He reportedly joked: "Now that I know what it's like to be an illegal immigrant, I've cancelled my membership to the BNP." But it's not all bad news for the comic. The Sun reports that the lothario managed to pull an air hostess while he was on his way home. He told the paper: "I was told I was travelling 'Virgin Upper' and I misheard it." Forgetting Sarah Marshall opens in the UK on Friday, April 25.
