The Voice’s will.i.am: 'Everything these singers have been dreaming of, starts right now!'

Last year's winning coach will.i.am reveals his hopes for the final of The Voice UK

Hey Will, how are you feeling ahead of the final of The Voice on Saturday night?

"I'm really excited, but I try to stay as open-minded as possible, so that I can be as thrilled with the performances as the audience will be. I want to experience the show in the same way that people will at home."

What are your thoughts on the final four contestants, Lucy, Sasha, Emmanuel and Stevie?

"As coaches, we've done our best to pick who we believe are the singers that are ready for a career in music. Now the choice is in the public's hands."

Have you enjoyed this series?

"Yes, it's a great show. The hardest stage for me was the knockouts where we had eight singers and had to tell five that they had to go. But I ended up taking three great singers, all with totally different styles, through to the lives."

Your act, Jermain Jackman, won the show last year and he's just released his debut album and single. You must be pleased…

"I'm really happy for Jermain. He's a great singer who has a big heart and wants to do amazing things. The Voice was the start and now his career really begins."

Do you think whoever wins this Saturday has what it takes to make it in the music industry?

"By getting to the final, all of these artists have already overcome any obstacle that's been put in front of them. Everything these singers have been building up for and everything they’ve been dreaming of starts right now."

The final of The Voice UK can be seen on Saturday, April 4 at 7pm on BBC1.
