Vernon to host search for best Elvis
Vernon Kay has been signed up to host a new show that aims to find the world's greatest Elvis Presley impersonator. The 32-year-old presenter will lead the hunt for the 30 best tribute acts, who will then go head-to-head in front of judges and a live studio audience. The show will be screened on BBC One this summer, to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the rock 'n' roll star's death. It is not the first time that Vernon has hosted a search to find singing talent - he fronted two series of BBC show Just The Two of Us alongside wife Tess Daly. His task to find the best tribute to The King won't be easy - there are an estimated 85,000 Elvis impersonators across the globe, up from just 170 when he died on August 16, 1977.
