Robert Lindsay has revealed he could be back for series two of BBC1’s Atlantis.
Robert, who made his name in 70’s sitcom Citizen Smith, starred in Saturday's Atlantis as Daedalus, an unusual character with astounding scientific talents…
Robert told What's on TV: “Daedalus is a terrific character, a real eccentric. He’s the father of Icarus, the boy who flew too close to the sun. Although Icarus doesn’t appear in this episode I’ve been told I may be needed again, as there’s a possibility they could pursue the story of Daedalus and Icarus. Now Atlantis has been commissioned for a second series that may happen!”
Robert, who filmed star-studded Grace of Monaco with Nicole Kidman earlier this year and is currently rehearsing for next year’s West End production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, is keen to make reappearance on Atlantis.
“I really loved my day’s filming and working with Jack Donnelly and Robert Emms, who play Jason and Pythagoras. They were like two boys with toys and it was terrific fun for me too.
"In fact the director had to be very firm. I can get a little naughty and I have a reputation. And as the boys were willing to go along with things on the comedic front I had to behave myself!”
