Chat show host Paul O'Grady is the latest star to land a guest spot in Doctor Who - and he'll be playing himself. Paul, who will fulfill a lifelong ambition by starring in the hit BBC1 sci-fi series, will discuss 'strange goings on' on his chat show as the Doctor - played by David Tennant - embarks on a mission. He is due to film the scenes for the season four finale at the end of February, according to reports in The Sun. A show insider said: "Paul has been desperate to be on the show for ages and asked if he could be a guest star. “Fortunately Who creator Russell T Davies is a big fan of his too, and jumped at the chance. "We’ve had to wait until his chat show is filming again so we can shoot him on the set. “It will be the usual camp Paul – just maybe a bit more sinister." Paul follows the likes of Kylie Minogue and Peter Kay who have both appeared in the show. The Doctor Who cast met recently for a read-through of the final episodes in London. David Tennant will be reunited with ex-assistants Billie Piper, Freema Agyeman and Elisabeth Sladen, who join new sidekick Catherine Tate in an expected two-part finale.
