Has the Live Bushtucker Trial divided the I'm A Celebrity campers for good?

I'm A Celebrity, Scarlett Moffatt, Ola Jordan

Could last night's live Bushtucker Trial be the test that casts a dark cloud over the previously happy campers on I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here?

It looks like the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! celebrities have been divided after half the campers pulled off a 6-0 win in the show’s annual Live Bushtucker Trial.

The yellow and blue teams went head-to-head, taking turns to complete stomach-churning challenges using just their mouths to achieve stars for their teams.

Winning every one of the six tasks, the yellow team earned themselves a luxury spa day in the jungle, while the losing blues were condemned to time in the “rancid retreat”.

It was another victory for the yellows, who had already won a meal of emu rump in the show’s Hungry Games, marking the first time the campers had been forced to eat separate meals.

Diversity star Jordan Banjo was first to beat actor Larry Lamb as they both bobbed for stars in tanks of slime and critters.

Former Strictly pro dancer Ola Jordan beat Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt to the bottom of a cup of blended fish guts, then retired footballer Wayne Bridge swallowed a bowl full of dead bugs before comedian Joel Dommett.

Emmerdale's Adam Thomas managed to move a bowl of offal with his mouth before Olympic champion Sam Quek and presenter Carol Vorderman scraped another win for the yellows as she slurped through three glasses of blended pigs’ eyeballs, pigs’ brains and pigs’ anuses seconds before model Lisa Snowdon.

Newcomers broadcaster Danny Baker and Homes Under The Hammer presenter Martin Roberts were the last to take on their first Bushtucker Trial, with Danny retrieving his stars from a box of pythons before Martin.

Danny and Martin’s entry to the jungle sparked a mixed reaction from the campers, who have already been on the show together for almost a week.

Danny, 59, moved Scarlett to tears as he told her about his battle with cancer.

Meanwhile, some of Martin’s team mates expressed concern that he was “not as positive” as they were, when he struggled to stomach a paltry meal of rice and beans.

The unfortunate blues will now be subjected to the “rancid retreat” which will see them take a dip in a pool bubbling with critters.

You can see that tonight on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!  on ITV, 9.25pm.
