Miserable Martin Roberts leaves Scarlett Moffatt in tears after I’m A Celebrity fight

I'm A Celebrity…, Martin Roberts

The "Hungry Games" trial is over and the celebs are one team again. But Martin Roberts still had a nasty taste in his mouth last night and he let everyone know about it

The I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! contestants experienced their first row after a week in the jungle when new campers Martin Roberts and Danny Baker locked horns – and it left Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt in tears.

Danny and Martin were already at loggerheads after the battling in "The Hungry Games" trial which split the camp mates into two sides and saw broadcaster Danny’s team win.

But Homes Under The Hammer presenter Martin was not at all gracious in defeat because he felt his rival team, led by Danny, gloated about their win.

And when he tried to suggest that Scarlett felt the same way it all became too much for her.

“Don’t put words in my mouth,” Scarlett told Martin before having a cry on Larry Lamb’s shoulder.

“I don’t understand why we’re fighting,” she told Larry. “It’s just a game.”

And viewers were split over the argument and who was in the wrong.

But at the end of last night’s show it looked like Martin was being made to pay for his moaning as he was voted by the public to step up for tonight’s Bushtucker Trial, "Hell Hollow".

Scarlett, meanwhile, was voted the new camp president, taking over from Larry.

Scarlett was picked by viewers to replace actor Larry, with comedian Joel Dommett becoming her second in command.

Their first role was to divide the chores among their campmates and they put Martin in charge of maintenance – another thing he wasn’t happy about.

With Emmerdale star Adam Thomas, his jobs are to keep the campsite in water and wood. As he struggled back to the site with his first load of water, he muttered, “Thanks, Scarlett”.

“Martin’s negative,” said Joel. “We need to massage him into a better mood.”

You can see Martin tackle “Hell Hollow” tonight. Will he be the first celebrity of this year’s competition to quit a trial?
