The top five talking points of I'm A Celebrity 2015

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! will be mainly remembered for Lady Colin Campbell.

The controversial author, dubbed Lady C on the ITV show, left “on medical grounds” just four days before the final.

This series, brilliantly helmed by the incomparable Ant and Dec, also featured another surprising exit, tears from Union J’s George Shelley and a bit of will they/won’t they? shenanigans between George and The Only Way Is Essex’s Ferne McCann.

Here are five jungle talking-points and highlights from this 15th series.

1. Anything Lady C did or said

The arguments with Duncan Bannatyne and Tony Hadley were TV gold. Admittedly, her sharp tongue got the better of her at times – rows over such topics as whispering, emu poo and throwing beetles onto the fire resulted in the kind of language that would make Gordon Ramsay blush.

“You are a pretentious piece of s**t and I’ve had enough of you!” she told the Spandau Ballet singer.

Unable to leave it there, she added: “You fat blob. It’s none of your f***ing business, a**hole! You arch hypocrite, a chippy oik with the brains of a pea and the mouth of diarrhoea.”

That’s probably one of her milder tirades.

Lady C also refused to do a couple of Bushtucker Trials.

However, anyone who saw Disaster Chef – her very first alongside Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter – will never forget it.

She used her knife and fork to cut up the jungle nasties she had to eat.

Who does that!?

And when served Spaghetti B*****k-naise (beach worms with turkey testicles), she memorably asked Ant and Dec: “What are b*****ks?”

Whatever you think of Lady C, she certainly made for an entertaining – and infuriating – few weeks in the camp.

2. Ferne McCann screaming through trials

The Only Way Is Essex star screamed, shouted, wailed and stamped her way through Dicing With Danger, her very first Bushtucker Trial.

Poor Ferne looked as if she would throw in the towel, but she stuck it out and won.

From that moment on, her fate was sealed as the public kept voting for her to do trials. She continued to freak out, but she gamely endured some of the worst challenges.

3. Ant and Dec “walking like Eubank”

Chris Eubank came up with a strategy for a dingo challenge that included walking sideways.

Never one to miss an opportunity, Ant and Dec exploited it for comic purposes.

Watching the boys “walk like Eubank” was very funny indeed.

5. The shocking exit of Spencer Matthews

The Made in Chelsea star was a late entrant and did not even make it into the main camp.

After just one night in the jungle, Spencer departed “on medical grounds”.

He subsequently revealed he had to quit because he was taking “steroid-based medication”.

I have disappointed my family, friends and fans and need to apologise. I would like to thank ITV for the opportunity and their support..1/2

… I loved every minute of being in the jungle and wish the remaining contestants the best of luck. 2/2
