Shocking escort storyline for Mr Selfridge waiter

Trystan Gravelle has revealed his Mr Selfridge character will be left facing a 'real dilemma' when he's encouraged to take on some escorting duties. The Welsh actor plays Victor Colleano in the period drama, and he told The Sun that the waiter could soon be working overtime when his boss urges him to try to keep older female shoppers satisfied. He said: "Victor is told to keep the customers satisfied at all costs. He has just got a job at the Palm Court Restaurant in Selfridge's and doesn't want to mess up his big opportunity. He's a bit of a Jack the lad, but it's a real dilemma for him." Victor is actually interested in shop girl Agnes (Aisling Loftus). But Trystan, 31, explained: "The reality of life for characters such as Victor and Agnes was very different to today. It was a brutal world where you had to work to put food on the table. There were no social security benefits - nothing to prop you up. So what do you do? "Victor is a working class lad with aspirations to better himself. The stakes are very high. If you didn't do what you were told you could be sacked on the spot."
