Harry Enfield, Jack Dee and Sally Phillips are among the stars signed up to read adult bedtime stories in Dave's new late-night series, Crackanory.
In a twist on legendary kids' show Jackanory, which ran on the BBC from the 1960s until 1996, some of our best-known actors and comedy stars settle into the storytelling chair to narrate 15-minute comic tales of 21st century life.
"This master class in storytelling and performance involves some of the best comedy writers too," says a spokesperson for Dave. "They have been invited to break down the borders of sanity and to let their dark comedic imaginations run wild."
Other celebrities telling tales include Hugh Dennis, Richard Hammond, Charlie Higson, Rebecca Front, Stephen Mangan, Sarah Solemani, Jessica Hynes, Sharon Horgan and Kevin Eldon. Each story is intercut with live action and animation.
Crackanory premieres on Wednesday, November 13 at 10pm on Dave (Sky 111, Virgin 128, Freeview 12).
