Ben Tavassoli and Mark Strepan talk New Blood (VIDEO)

Ben Tavassoli and Mark Strepan star as two young investigators taking on some of the world's most powerful corporations in BBC1 drama New Blood, yet while their characters are headstrong, the pair said they were both a bit nervous about working with co-stars Mark Addy (Game of Thrones) and Anna Chancellor (Four Weddings and a Funeral).

"They just start on a different level to what I'm used to," says Mark. "It was a joy for me to work with them, but at the start I was a bit nervous about going up to say hello! You learn so much from them though."

New Blood will be coming to BBC1 in early June, but thise who can't wait to see the next episode should direct themselves to the iPlayer, where every episode will be available ahead of its broadcast on TV.

The pair are both hoping for another a series, but if the crime drama does return then Ben will definitely watch his mouth around writer Anthony Horowitz...

"After we got the parts he took us out to dinner," he says. "The wine was flowing and I got a little bit wavy and had a little dig at him and he said 'I won't forget that!' Then in episode seven he made me hang upside down in a car all day! If we do another series I'll make sure I'm nice and don't crack any jokes."
