Bernie Nolan's sisters end feud

The Nolan Sisters have ended a long-standing family feud following the news that Bernie Nolan is dying of cancer.

Eldest sister Anne had previously fallen out with her siblings four years ago after she was left out of their reunion tour - vowing never to speak to them again.

However the Sunday People reports she has now made up with the family - including her other sisters Maureen, Linda and Coleen - in the wake of Bernie's illness.

"It's such a difficult time and Anne's been really cut up about it," a source told the paper.

She’s been to see Bernie and plans to be with her, supporting her till her dying day.

“They’ve had some dreadful rows over the years but this puts it all in perspective.”

Bernie's husband Steve Doneathy revealed last week that the singer and actress was in the final stages of the disease.

She had previously beaten breast cancer in 2010 - being diagnosed shortly after she was a contestant on ITV1's Popstar To Operastar - but learned late last year that it had returned and was terminal.

Meanwhile Bernie - who also appeared in Brookside and The Bill - became the subject of a cruel Twitter hoax earlier this week when trolls took to the site to say she had died.

Rumours subsequently spread round Facebook and even led to Bernie's Wikipedia page being changed, before Coleen took to her own page to set the record straight.

"Just to let everyone know AGAIN!! Bernie is still with us and continues to fight everyday! Don’t know who or why someone is saying otherwise.” she tweeted.
