The Bill star Amita Dhiri has revealed she was unsure about the soap's latest controversial storyline. Amita, who plays DC Grace Dasari, said the story about online child abuse really put her through her paces. "When I first saw the subject matter, I just thought: 'Should we be doing this?'" she explained during a break from filming. "After reading the script, I felt happy about doing them. I thought it's been really well written; I think it's been dealt with sensitively and yes, it's drama, but without being sensationalist." The episodes, which air on March 26 and 27 on ITV1, focus on the specialist work of the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre. The story begins with an investigation of suspected sexual abuse involving a 13-year-old-girl, and soon explores the terrifying world of online grooming, leading to child abuse. Horrified officers will uncover notification of a planned live show of child abuse due to be aired in real-time online, forcing DC Dasari to pose as a member of the network in a bid to track down one of the ring leaders.
