Billie Piper says sex scenes make fun roles 'annoying'
As she prepares to reunite with the creator of Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Billie Piper talked frankly about how irritating she finds filming sex scenes
Actress Billie Piper has voiced her annoyance at the significant amount of parts she is offered that include sex scenes.
The 34-year-old former pop star, who played high class call girl Belle de Jour in ITV drama Secret Diary Of A Call Girl between 2007 and 2011, said it was unusual for her to be offered a television part without at least one nude appearance.
She told ES Magazine: “What’s annoying is that they are fun roles, if you can remove the sex.
“It’s the sex that makes it annoying. Otherwise they are interesting stories, interesting women with chequered pasts.”
The former Doctor Who star is reuniting with Secret Diary Of A Call Girl writer Lucy Prebble for a new television series.

Billie said the planned show is 'beautifully bleak'.
“I would say tonally it’s black comedy, but it might just be black,” she told the magazine.
Last week, Billie won best actress at the Evening Standard theatre awards for her performance in Yerma at The Young Vic.
