Chris Tarrant's estranged wife Ingrid claims he needed Viagra in bed. She rubbished a Sunday newspaper story which said she imposed a seven-year sex ban during their marriage - insisting his erectile dysfunction was to blame. And she said the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host and keen angler ruined what was left of their sex life by going to bed reeking of fish. Ingrid, 52, spoke to The Sun after reading about the alleged sex ban. "I was stunned when I heard about it. It is a low shot and just totally inaccurate. I had never imposed a one-second sex ban, let alone anything more," she said. "The biggest reason our sex life slowed down in our last few years was because of Chris's erectile dysfunction. It sounds so vulgar, but he had problems getting it up. He has been taking Viagra for around four years to deal with it." She added: "Chris thinks of himself as an incredible lover and once boasted he had the libido of a lion. But the truth is I didn't go off sex. He did." Ingrid also detailed her estranged husband's 'personal hygiene issues' caused by his love of fishing. "He would literally jump in next to me reeking of carp, bream and pike. I would beg him to at least wash the dried fish blood from his hands," she said. The couple ended their 16-year marriage in September last year after Chris was revealed to have had an affair with teacher Fiona McKechnie.
