Countryfile is going daily!

BBC Look North’s glamorous weather girl Keeley Donovan and Flog It! host Paul Martin are joining the team for Countryfile’s new daily spin-off.

They have been announced alongside the Sunday night show’s regulars John Craven and Jules Hudson as presenters of Countryfile Diaries.

The show will be seasonal with the first five-parter coinciding with a Spring special that’s set to air on 15 May 15.

The rural affairs show is a ratings hit for the BBC, drawing in its biggest-ever audience of 8.6 million last month, and they’ll be hoping the new format and presents keep the audience hooked.

Veteran John said: “The British countryside in spring – what better place to launch this new show.

“I’ve been with Countryfile for the best part of 30 years and for me this is a really exciting development, hosting a daily diary that brings viewers the best of our countryside at this magical time of year.

“We have a great team on board and we can’t wait to get started.”

New girl Keeley, 32, said: “Growing up in the countryside, I’ve always been fascinated by nature, so I’m thrilled to be a part of Countryfile Diaries.”

She’s expected to bring over the legions of devoted fans from her current role as weather presenter.

Paul, on the other hand, will be providing a location for the show, as his small-holding in Wiltshire will feature.
