We're sure EastEnders actor Danny Dyer likes a joke and can take a bit of a mocking, but what about Donald Trump? The US Presidential candidate hasn’t liked anyone attacking him so far on the campaign trail has he?

He better get used to it, as both Danny and Donald will have the mickey taken out of them constantly in the new second series of ITV's satirical show Newzoids, which turns well-known faces into caricatured cartoons.

Around 50 other stars will also be getting the Newzoids treatment for the first time, so look out for Jeremy Corbyn, Adele, Zayn Malik and Bear Grylls. They’ll of course be added to the existing Newzoids characters such as David Cameron, The Queen, Ant and Dec and Simon Cowell.

Saskia Schuster, Commissioning Editor, Comedy, ITV says: “Newzoids’ first series proved to be funny, fresh and biting, creating its very own surreal world of politics and celebrity. I look forward to meeting the many new Newzoids puppet creations…celebrities and MPs beware, nobody is safe!”

This second series of Newzoids will be shown later this year on ITV.

Nicholas Cannon
TV Content Director on TV Times, What's On TV and TV & Satellite Week

I'm a huge fan of TV so I've found the perfect job, writing about telly shows and interviewing major television, film and sports stars for over 30 years. I'm currently the TV Content Director on What's On TV, TV Times, TV and Satellite Week magazines plus contribute to Whattowatch.com. I previously worked on Woman and Woman's Own in the 1990s. Outside of work I swim every morning, support Charlton Athletic football club and get nostalgic about TV shows Cagney & Lacey, I Claudius, Dallas, Tenko and I'm quite partial to a bit of Little House on The Prairie. I'm totally on top of everything good coming up too, and love newer shows such as The Day Of The Jackal, This is Us, Hacks and anything Dexter.
