Danny O'Donoghue denies Bo romance

The Voice's Danny O'Donoghue has denied reports of a romance with 2012 runner-up Bo Bruce - saying that it is Tom Jones who gets all the attention from women on the show.

The Script frontman said that rumours Bo's debut album Before I Sleep was 'inspired' by him were not true - and that a song they penned together was in fact inspired by her mother, who died of cancer shortly after the series ended.

"For me I was more impressed by her story about how she can overcome tragedy. It's such a powerful message," he said.

Danny also responded to reports he had been taken with former Hollyoaks actress Alice Barlow, who auditioned on last Saturday's show - saying: "I don't think there is a red-blooded man in the world who wouldn't find her attractive."

However he said that in spite of his reputation as a ladies man, he was still single - and that it was in fact Tom who wowed the ladies.

"Tom just says 'be cool and shut up!'" he told The Sun.

I think I ruin my chances by opening my mouth and letting it run. But as soon as Tom switches it on, all the girls head over to him.”

Meanwhile, Danny said that he stands by the show's decision to reject hopeful Alice Fredenham - who wowed the Britain's Got Talent judges just one week before appearing on the BBC One show.

“She didn’t have the voice for our show," he admitted. "But if I listened to her after seeing a dog dancing and some guy chopping off his arm, then I’d say she has talent too!”

The Voice continues on BBC One at 8.05pm with the final round of blind auditions.
