Darius and Hollywood star Natasha to divorce

Natasha Henstridge and former Pop Idol contestant Darius Campbell are to divorce after just two years of marriage.

The 38-year-old Hollywood actress and the 32-year-old singer - formerly known as Darius Danesh - married in a secret ceremony in California on Valentine's Day 2011, accompanied only by the Species actress's two young sons.

Darius confirmed the split to the the Mail Online, saying: "We decided to file for divorce and we ask for privacy at this time. We filed the divorce papers today. It was a mutual decision."

Natasha addressed reports about whether or not she had moved out of the couple's home, writing on Twitter: "Stranded from my own house and yet apparently that's where I'm supposedly living right now... Truth always prevails."

The couple began dating in 2006 and became engaged a year later. They briefly called off the engagement in 2010.
