Our SIX dream Top Gear presenters have us in a spin!

Top Gear

Who's the ideal replacement for Chris Evans? Here are potential Top Gear presenters we'd like to see behind the wheel...

The Beeb claim they're not going to replace Chris Evans on Top Gear. But when they see our list of prime presenting candidates for the rebooted BBC2 motoring show, they might just change their minds...

George Michael

The singer is known for driving right on the edge with a series of well publicised car crashes, including careering into the front of a north London branch of Snappy Snaps. Some might say he'd be a liability. We say: You gotta have faith.

James Corden

James Corden

Since he went Stateside to present The Late Show, Corden's carpool karaoke has become an Internet sensation. We think it would be a much more enjoyable celebrity segment on Top Gear and could replace the current 'star in a Mini driving through puddles'.

Jay Kay

The Jamiroquai front man is such a petrolhead he put a Ferrari crest on one of his album covers. He claims to have driven at 175mph on a public road, so tearing it up on the test track should be no problem. In view of the consequences of Clarkson's 'steak-gate', it might be best to keep him away from paparazzi...

David Hasselhoff

If Top Gear is to keep abreast of the latest technological developments in the motor industry, who better than the man who drove an artificially intelligent car in Knight Rider to join the team? A word of warning however - don't hassle the Hoff!

Chris Eubank

Old Top Gear was less than complimentary about lorry drivers. But Chris Eubank, whose vehicle history includes an American Peterbilt 379 lorry cab, could redress the balance. He may not be a popular choice with drivers who've been stuck behind him on the narrow roads of Brighton, where he lives - but could he be a welcome addition to Top Gear?

OK this one is a bit left-field, but bear with us. The Aussie pop star played a mechanic in Neighbours, so surely some mechanical know-how must have rubbed off? Also who else has had an F1 car named after them (Sebastian Vettel's “Kinky Kylie”)? Note to production team - it might be worth getting hold of a booster seat.
