Educating Yorkshire head Jonny: 'I'm hardly a pin-up!'

Educating Yorkshire headmaster Jonny Mitchell says he's shocked he's had Facebook marriage proposals and offers of racy magazine spreads!

The 41-year-old, who's been overwhelmed by the positive reaction to his beloved Thornhill Community Academy in West Yorkshire, tells TV Times he's not taking all the attention seriously.

"I'm hardly a pin-up! There's no accounting for taste, is there? Doing the show was really uncomfortable to start with, but it's been an experience I'm unlikely to forget," says the dad of three.

"I think my family are really proud – certainly my youngest daughters are. My eldest is a bit more measured, but her school friends apparently really like the show, so she'll be fine."

So, is he pleased with the decision to let the cameras in?

"Categorically yes," he replies.
